sport zone along with Alex Stossel.
Welcome to Season two Episode three of the Power skate show.
And, boy, we got a good one for you today.
Ah, lot of free agency is coming in.
Um, since we're two weeks into the free agencies and before we start, um, we lost one.
Not a fantastic person in the Edmonton sports locker room locker room coordinator from the Edmonton Oilers and Edmonton Eskimos from the Canadian Football League. Joined.
Moss passed away at the age of 57.
Hey, was part still a locker room coordinator with the Edmonton Oilers dynasty.
When they want for cops, I please.
All right. Yeah.
And we want to say rest in peace to join Moss.
I'm fortunate, You know, news coming out there.
And before we start, we gotta talk about the Dallas Stars.
Third jersey coming out.
I'm going to share my screen.
That sounds good.
What? Mind those stars.
Third Jersey came out, and I'll tell you this.
Well, I'll tell you my my thoughts, and then we can express our fox content.
Is this a w or L.
I mean, this is arguably the best jersey, the entire league now, So I mean, it's a w.
I haven't seen New Jersey this six since the, uh, Columbus can in Jersey, so you definitely I give it up to the stars is definitely out of the box, But, you know, it should work.
It looks great already.
It would look even better on, you know, I think when they eventually play a couple games, you know, it's got me interesting.
They'll look very bright at first, but overall, I like him.
Absolute w here.
Massive w for sure.
And what I like is that they represent the Texas, um, state and boy it, like you guys say this, the houses rocking in Dallas.
That's why that they put that there.
I mean, those things were just absolutely beautiful.
I I might I might even have to get one.
Yeah, well, why? I thought, like, and it's from a insect was like, Are there gonna dio, like, bring back, like, old logo like, um, like the down start bring back, like, the bull thing with, like, the too like way? Absolutely.
I don't think I should say this, but it looks like a yeah logo.
Alright. Next topic.
No Winter Classic or All Star game.
I mean, it makes sense.
I mean, put the classic, the kind they could have went on with the Winter Classic.
I just for whatever reason, I just don't think they wanted to start the NHL like on January 1st.
For whatever reason, because I could have done the Winter Classic.
If the NFL's playing games and stuff, then definitely the Winter Classic could have allowed, like a limited amount of fans.
The All Star Game makes all the sense in the world because that's a 34 days.
So you need a whole weekend for that, right? So I've seen makes sense.
Why they? Why they did see All Star game this year.
I'm not ranking on the NHL on that, but, well, no one's your classic.
You could have probably you could have probably done a winter classic, I think the wild blues, I mean, probably the matchup get next year, but yeah, they probably could have went along with the Winter Classic.
What do you think I think that they should not even sell the Winter Classic because because Target Field holds, like 26 thousands people, 26,000 seats in the in the stands, You could you could just, um, put like a regular NHL crowd like 19,000.
Like, obviously, you know, limit the fans and intense, like, make sure they were masking all that stuff.
But they could have went around and did the Winter Classic, and they could have actually made, like, the first game of the year.
They could have made this whole huge thing out of it then we're just made it awesome, you know? And I first saw that they were canceling the All Star Game like, Yeah, you ain't gonna be able to fit that in such a short season, but that when they canceled the Winter Classic, I'm like, Wow, you really couldn't have done that is like, your first game or something Or have it happened in the first week? Like if you really got canceled it Maybe you can't post opponents like February or March.
You know, they still play same serious games and march and stuff.
So when they just push it back to March.
Is that simple? What were you doing at each other? You're ruining the fun.
The heck anyway.
Anyway, let's let's make make this one off.
Former NHL legend already talking about nail Yakupov No, Mr Josh hosting resigns a one year, two way contract with the New York Islanders.
Then we thought he was going to the case Shell or something like that.
We don't go to the KHL, but, you know, when I realized that he was averaging about 40 points a season in the h l, I kind of realized Oh, wow, Maybe you could actually play on the fourth line, sometimes soon.
And actually, you know, stay there.
I know Josh Rosen has a lot of different opinions.
I know a lot of people believe in him still, and I know a lot of people like this guy's in the cage for the rest of life.
And also, you know, I gotta take things for granted, you know, you gotta take a look at it.
He has over 40 points in the KHL, usually average per year usually averages about 30 to 40 points in the h l, which is you know, second or third Best on the sound tigers like Is that Keijo worthy? I can't tell the ****e 24.
It's not like he's in his thirties.
So at the same time, maybe you wanna keep them around for another year to, you know, maybe prevent them going to the cage first night.
I was like, What are they doing? They gotta go to the cage, All right.
I'm like, yeah, you know, take, take a look.
Second glance, I'm like, Alright, Host saying you get like, two more years, then then you know, if you really can't make a stable, you know, shot in the NHL and you know, the Islanders try to trade me, so you know doesn't do well then I would say khl when he's around 26 27 But give me a little bit more time.
Other fans, by the way, they're gonna hate me saying that, Yeah, I think that things should just gone to decay chill because, like he has not been lived up to become a first round.
I think he's like 29th overall, 27th overall.
Like like he's must lucky and HL guy like when? When you're looking like in, like in the first round in general, you're you're just not looking for like like h l guys all the way through.
You're looking for someone in the top 31st in the first round.
NHL regulars mean that, like they started in the h l just play like, two games, three games, four games in their first four seasons and then start to have a have a full time NHL roster.
What you're looking for, Joshua was saying, is about to be a KHL players.
So, like, like in my mind, like you should be like a third rounder in my mind.
I mean, like, you can average 40 points in the h l all you want.
The problem is when the Islanders call you up and you play, like, 15 games and you only have, like, one goal and three assists and you're playing on the third line? Yeah, they're gonna promote you back down to the minors.
That seems pretty obvious.
You know, you're you're not producing well with the big guns, right? So I would say overall it was a smart and they get another shot But honestly, she's probably he's definitely KHL bound At the end of the season, it wouldn't shock me even midway through.
If he's really playing that bad, it wouldn't surprise me.
But midway through, he sides with the KHL team.
Yeah, um, the Vancouver, Canada.
Right wing Jake for 10 into a two year deal of 5.
I thought that he was going to get traded because before the playoffs, growth GM Jim Benning so called out Jake for Tannin, saying that like, we're not gonna let him play in the playoffs.
Oh, yeah, I remember that. Yeah.
So I What will be simple if you just like training for, like, a bag of pucks or something? How about Jake? For tannin? For me, right? I can play for a connection.
The heartbeat, dude.
I'm not sure that will happen when no put you in the Utica comments for a couple of years development.
I mean, I don't know.
I mean, your chick for 10 is good.
I mean, he's definitely a good trade asset as well, but in reality, I mean, this is a pretty fair contract, like they're not over paying them that they're not under paying him.
I mean, he's literally their second line guy.
They might get rid of them.
Why at the moment, you know why? When you know you're this close to a Stanley Cup, you might as well just keep him around since, you know, he's pretty solid.
So I got no complaints with them, but yeah, probably I would see them resigning him after this to your contract, though.
Yeah, And let's talk about Bruce Sabers.
Largest Hallmark goaltender and Sam Reinhart all mark one year and Reinhardt, one year, 2.
So what do you think? I mean, I was first hearing reports that all mark one like 4.
I was like, Whoa, slow your old, But alright, e abrasion happened, and he's getting paid way less than that.
6 for a goaltender who is pretty much splitting time.
A car hunting that's, in my opinion, a pretty fair contract.
I mean, you might as well resign this lamb walking, you know, he's pretty much your main starter, so I got no complaints with them resigning all market especially the contract.
I mean, you pretty much had to make this move.
2, maybe a little bit too much at the same time.
He's been pretty much second life for the past 50 years.
Now he's pretty good.
So, And complaints with either contract all mark, maybe a smidge of an overpayment, but to keep him around instead of going after someone like Craig Anderson or a Jimmy Howard out necessarily blame them for up bringing them back.
Yeah, but I was surprised A one year deal, All right? I think that, like, Walmart should be e understand.
Like, why all marked? Because Hutton has just been, like, horrible when he was in Buffalo, Like, right now, with this time in Buffalo, I think that, uh, now all mark has been taking over.
See? Like what? See what swap I get That Sam Barnhart was a big surprise.
Um, I think that he might be draft eligible in the cl cracking for next year.
I can happening, but you might have wrestle einen or Eichel in the expansion, uh, draft eligible, eligible, But for I was silly Eichel, Maybe she reached the line in a really Eichel, I mean, is you already know who they're picking? Yeah, and trade with the line in to Washington.
Please don't do that.
Anyway, um, Speaking of Washington Capitals, prospect Connor Hobbs retired 23 years, retired at 23 years old due to injuries.
This was a upsetting retirement because because I got to a lot of Hershey Bears games because I live in Baltimore.
Not I'm city like 15 minutes, like 40 like, 30 minutes away.
Hobbs is about to become, like started.
Become a NHL defenseman.
He did good in the preseason.
Get I'll give him credit for that.
He is a shutdown winning defenseman in the aid shell because, like, you can throw us by around.
If he wants Thio, you can just You can't, like, dump the puck and just try.
Try making another defensive play.
Yes, I understand that he has been gay and like too much injuries in his junior, um, in junior leagues in the h l.
I get that, but should you just go another just take another shot with it because you're about to become a HR defenseman.
I think based off of the reports that right? Like he was going thio, you know, give it another shop, and he just knew, based off of his injuries backing, you know, in the HL on with the junior leagues and stuff.
I think he just figured that wasn't gonna be enough.
I think he knew he was very close.
Especially when you know, guys like Nick Jensen and J s on the roster like those air to very replaceable guys.
Right? So you would think that eventually obviously take that major step in.
And it was looking like he was going thio.
But you know what? I call the career that 23.
Simply because I just was like, All right, one more injury, you know, like my body can't take the same more.
I love what I do, but just simply point.
I just not going to deal with the agony anymore.
And why should he? You know, he has had multiple, you know, severe injuries.
You know, back in, like the June.
I mean, it kind of can't blame them for retiring so early.
Unfortunately, I mean, I wish he didn't but e understand why, though? Yeah, and I was surprised to have trade Tyler Lewington to Nashville.
Like, they should not trade Lewington like because, like, long 10.
Look, we're going to get to Mr Nick Johnson in the SEC.
But Tyler Lewington should be a NHL defenseman at this point.
And, you know, a natural given that shot.
Is that pretty weak on the bottom of six.
Yeah, well, I understand that.
Like he's been standing a child too much within her.
She but like like Siegenthaler.
Like I said before, we're gonna get to Mr Nick Johnson.
The sec um, like Lewington can be your sentence defenseman.
You can be like your huffily scratch and just, like, stand in NHL at all times because, like, you can play a lot because goodness is out Chinese out, then.
Didn't like you will have Carlson Orlov, Um Jensen Siegenthaler.
You can have Alexia then and you can have Tyler Lewington in.
Isn't this simple? Yeah, that seems pretty simple.
And then they bring in Matt Niskanen two or something.
Would they bring in capitals? You got another defenseman to fair Enough fair of already.
She guys I don't know.
Another picked up someone else, but maybe not.
Oh, Justin Schultz Trevor said okay, Justin Sheltie a Nelson or Alright. Sorry.
Carlson Orloff TVR Schultz Johnson Second far Lewington Trade those trade Jensen and seeing far through of Bloomington and, um Alexia that simple Joe e don't know why they didn't do that and decide they side Thio resign Sergent Dollar to a one year deal.
I know that's not on our list, but I know that happened pretty much right after we had ended the show last week.
They resigned No one year deal, so Ah, you might have been spent some time in her story.
I wouldn't be shocked if he does next year.
Oh, uh, accidentally lost Thio topic.
You are like Nick Johnson, right? Yeah.
Let's just talk about this, dude, Okay? Remember, it's about **** Jenson trained for 15 for Get him? Yeah, that was a rumor that came out earlier.
Hey, Capitals, my training Jensen for like, an a h e.
Yeah, I would say capitals trade Nick Jensen Thio florida for Oh, and tip it.
Would that be hysterical if they trained extensively Adam just for Josh Ho sang.
No, that's a pretty bad trade. I know.
I wouldn't actually mind.
But you're a capitals trade, Nick.
Capitals trade Nick Jensen to Boston for, um, Who is in Providence.
Oh, Carter and and Kara Clifton.
No, no, no, no, No color.
Clifton is 20 spending ****inson and rather not postcards.
So you know, Carson cool.
Could be NHL guy Now.
Now the Nordstrom's gone.
So Carson Coleman's pretty much could remain a NHL just now, right? I think I got a good one.
Capitals trade Nick Johnson to Buffalo for Casey Mill stat.
Oh, Casey, No, because Casey Milson got waved senti Rochester, you might be a h l guy.
Well, look, if, like, Milstead goes through like a cup contending team that and I think his career is gonna revive like what Kevin Shattenkirk did when it got really When Tanker got released, the Tampa won the Stanley Cup and then now making a bunch of money with the ducks.
And I'm gonna say this early.
Tell all your friends hashtag trade Nick Jensen, please.
You got to because he's pretty bad.
He's well, I mean, yeah, he's pretty bad.
Oh, here's the gold caps Will trade Nick Jensen to Pittsburgh Parables Cody C.
And Mike Matheson for Sam Lafferty.
And let me tell you, if that happens, I will just crack up.
I'll buy a Nick Jensen Penguins jersey.
Never mind on that, because eso I'm my friend.
Yeah, there got no defense.
Your your own God, Brian Dumoulin, Letang and Marina That's it.
Is it too late to bring back Coal Imada or Matt Niskanen? Justin Schultz Just get the gang back together because all the model is l A king.
He's gonna get, like, 60 people.
Yeah, like six games.
I'm probably get injured.
Um, with, uh, next topic, uh, stars resign Western Conference clincher Dennis gurriel in off to a two year deal of 5.
I would say the price is high.
Uh, is very high because hurry up is in his place his first full season.
I would say, like, two year, uh, two years, 3.2 mil.
At first I was like, Wait a minute, this guy's making Jake pretending money.
That's why I actually thought at first when I was making the list for the show.
Jeez, I don't know if you know, I'd rather take pretending the crop.
I don't know about you guys, but you know that girl crop, he's a very good player.
Don't get me wrong.
1 mill, I do think it's a bit too much.
I would say about the 3.
7 million would have been fine.
Pretty much anything over there, You know, if you want four million, I mean, it wouldn't have been a bad deal.
I mean, it's not gonna be like a captain or anything, but it's only for two years, and this guy is still young.
But it's also like, yeah, playoffs.
But you know, a pretty generous contract.
Senator, the Senator Stein Chris Journey to a two year deal.
Seven million, Let me tell you that that's the overpayment and senator sign outs catching up to a one year 1.
That's a That's the underpayment to Galchenyuk Yeah, exactly.
They overpaid Trinity, but the underpaid Galchenyuk, I mean, I guess theoretically turn didn't play horrible.
I mean, in 71 games, you got 37 points in the minus six.
Ring is whatever.
He also had four short handed goals.
So I guess you know that's decent.
I mean, I guess for seven mil, that's not awful.
I just feel like Ottawa could have went after someone earlier on in free agency would have produced, like, a little bit better.
In my opinion, I just feel like, you know, they could have won after they got pretty decent forward, but they kind of elected to go away from that.
I guess, like I felt like that, they could have gotten like Craig Smith or call terrorists, maybe bring Kyle tourists back to Ottawa in so, maybe again, Christianity.
But overall, I can't come.
I can't really complain with this deal, but they definitely could've gotten someone else a little bit better earlier on.
Um, yeah, let's see.
So and Detroit Red Wings Santa, opportunity to a one year, 3.5 million.
That is a huge surprise of all the topics that we're discussing as of now for Tuesday.
Made all start last year.
That will be arbitration.
Yeah, we'll be simple if you just give him a Yeah, we'll be simple if you get in, like, two years.
Two or three years? Because I was like, because he's in your top six.
That was a That was a pretty fair contract.
Um, Hurricanes recent defenseman hand flurry to two year 2.
That that's a good contract.
Yeah, I can't play with that one either.
I mean, the man spent his time in the h l.
And now he is a pretty decent defenseman.
I e I could even say that, you know, he could even be a top six pairing our top four pairing defenseman within a year to us.
Well, by the time this contract expires, Carolina, Sure, they lost Trevor Van Riemsdyk, but they still have a pretty good defense, so yeah, definitely.
Definitely good signing there.
Didn't over pay for him either.
Can't complain, right? Yeah.
Um, Trevor Daley retired 16 seasons and he will join the Penguins Foreign office as a hockey operations adviser.
E think that that's a good, good role to Dio retiring on the same day.
And then you do a job that's a good That's a good.
That's a good thing to Dio because he want to.
Stanley Cup now three through Stanley Cups with Chicago, I believe.
And both back to back and Pittsburgh.
That's a good That's a good, good job.
Good retirement day.
And then, yeah, the guy played 16 seasons.
He he was actually a pretty, you know, he was actually like a top four defenseman is prime.
Like he was very good with the stars.
I remember back in the day and then, you know, eventually age got to him as my that was going on.
I have no idea what happened anyway.
You know, like he was a very good defensively with the stars, right? So I was thinking like, you know, I'm Suzanne fame or anything, but overall, pretty successful career can't complain.
And for him to just show the Penguins front office, like, literally minutes after announcing his retirement, it was good for him.
I mean, you know that when a player retires and they're like never to be heard from again, like I love going you know, they retired them like within like a week.
They get hired by, like, an NHL franchise, for example.
And it's just awesome.
Much like, you know, like whenever you watch a game liken nbcsn or whatever, they're gonna point out like, Oh, hey, there's Trevor Daley.
You know, he was a very good defensive back in the day with the Stars, the Blackhawks and the Penguins, right? So I don't know.
It's just always kind of those former players get those management roles so quickly.
I think that's awesome.
People at some Trevor Daley? Yeah, E almost dropped my phone.
Newly acquired defenseman Davonte is to a four year, 12.
4 million deal capital.
That's that's a good contract in my mind.
I mean, we were talking about the trade a couple weeks ago.
How you know the Avalanche pretty much fleecy Islanders, and then they give them a perfect contract.
Excuse me that 12 years, 12 mil for four years.
He is the thing At least his could perform on like de patrol.
Yeah, one thing, but yeah, I know overall, it's a great contract and just Colorado continues to just do everything right.
I don't get why the Avalanche or like, so good at acquiring the right players and like giving them the right contracts.
Like making the right moves at the deadline.
And, like releasing or trading players like when that's right about time.
It's like, Why are they so good at this? And how do they even have the salary cap to afford as good players that they have? It's crazy.
But like I said for Colorado there, right there in Vegas, this Stanley Cup of Boston mean Devin take you pretty much put him next to Ryan Graves, another man.
They resigned earlier on the off season.
That's a fancy, as I think, the best second pairing defenseman the league right there.
So, yeah, you're just making all the right moves again and props to that management Joe Sakic.
Because, like, I'm no idea how they do Whatever. Here.
Um, let's see here, Flank Signed Josh Leveaux to when you're $875,000? Yes, that that's a That's a good contract because he is, like your bomb line.
Yeah, I mean, you'll probably healthy scratches also do that can fight quite a bit.
So you're not complaints from May? I think also.
And I know it's gonna sound pretty, you know, like, Oh, well, of course, right.
But, you know, I think the main reason why the players picked him up because he's playing the Canucks last year.
I hate to say it, but I dio I feel like if you know, if Josh Levi was playing like it seems like the Oilers of the Jets, the Flames were picked him up anyway, right? Probably, you know, if he was still playing on Toronto and stuff that they maybe wouldn't assigned him.
But since you know he's with that division rival last year and you know he's kind of a below average player, you know he's making pretty much a Joe Money.
Heck, it wouldn't surprise me even if he spends half the year in the HL next year.
But yeah, I'll tell you one thing.
I mean, don't expect more than, like, eight points out of this guy like maybe like one goals and seven assists.
Expect, like a lot of hits, a few fights and yeah, especially when it comes to teams like the Canucks and the Jets and the, you know, the Sharks and other teams in their division.
So you know that he's one of the few grinders left.
So would you agree me on that? Why they picked him up because he played with Vancouver.
Um, there there's topics that, like, we don't you need todo get into if you everyone Zane McIntyre signs with Dynamo.
Yeah, as, um, he's always like like playing in Europe the whole time from our Providence Bruins legend.
I know it's not to say and and that's the reason why I put down on the top because I'm like, Dude, this dude was a monster with the problems brewing, like two years ago.
Why did you playing in the cage? I didn't even know he was on the Devils last year.
I don't even know that.
And then, like, you know, and then once I found out the stats, I'm like, Oh, that explains what's going khl you stay to Providence would have been good, because now, if Rask tops out again, or if a lack, you know, plays below average, we don't get that reliable backup.
I'm a bit and I I am not on board with that.
Hashtag never bring back to mhm, Actually.
Bring back Nicholas Bed Berg.
Yeah, I will say the Bruins that they would be Wait, could you get guys from the KHL like mid season e Don't know.
Brask or Heloc gets hurt, though.
I mean, obviously we saw from Valdez.
She played horrible in the playoffs, so he ain't ready.
And so Hey, we can claim McIntyre from the KHL.
I do that honestly.
Like I said, he was a mosque.
Everyone like one of the 28 games or something. 2018.
Let me just pull it up.
I was looking at earlier today.
Yeah, the guy was a beast.
They Yeah, I mean, granted, he is 28 but that's what I mean is a good backup toe.
Have right? Adams? Yes.
So in 18 19 with Providence, he played 47 games, had 9 14 save percentage.
Yeah, that's pretty good.
I can't complain there.
In five years, he's had a 909 save percentage and only a 2.
52 goals against average.
Like, that's pretty good stats like that.
Hey, tell team pretty much got like probably a top three goalie in that division now.
Yeah, and another topic.
We don't need to get into the whole time.
Defenseman Dmitry Kulikov to a one year, 1.
He was very good on the Panthers.
I hope that was like a decade ago.
You didn't get any more, of course, was upon six or for the Jets last year and did next to nothing.
Now New Jersey is giving the money.
This is one thing I want to bring up, but I know I briefly mentioned to you about this.
But why does one after Paulson team have like one horrible defenseman like, How did you notice that? Now the devil's got Kulikov.
The You know, the Penguins have Curry CC.
The Rangers have Jack Johnson.
The Capitals have Nick Jensen who? Mhm.
It's like, Why do you have, like, the like? The Islanders have like Nicoletti, he's really fallen off this game.
It's like, Oh, I just one cheap in the Metropolitan outside of really Columbus and I guess Carolina, I guess, would be the other two teams that really don't have like a really bad defenseman roster like that.
Every other Metropolitan has leased one, like, awful defenseman.
That's just weird, in my opinion, but yeah, I don't know what's up with that, but shout out for picking up the defenseman who should be in the KHL.
Let's just But, uh, yeah, uh, Hendrix, LaPierre from the Capitals and almost 60 sevens for Margo Rossi.
Signed with the miso while e l c So I wanna talk about Marco Rossi.
Well, the draft card.
This dude went insane in the O. H.
Said he had, like, yeah, like, 1 40 points.
And this dude is from Austria.
How many off street of players have not recorded 100 points in their draft year in their draft eligibility year? I meant this dude is you know that this this dude is gonna be nuts.
He's gonna take the lead by storm without a question.
I think we could even be talking about him being in the Calder Cup race.
It wouldn't shock me if he is.
Honestly, I'm expecting a full 82 game season, you know, a couple years down the road, this guy should be averaging, like 80 points of season.
You know, if he can stay healthy.
My expectations are very high for Marco Rossi, and I definitely think he can really become a fantastic prospect.
And llegan really the player Minnesota needed.
You know, I find it weird how they, you know, released Mikko Koivu.
But now they got Marco Rossi because Marco Rossi, like the next week Oh Koivu for the Wild.
It's like because if he is the next week or Koivu, that ain't a bad draft pick at all.
So, you know, maybe kind of a horse thing.
I mean, maybe, but, you know, expectations are very high for Marco Rossi.
No, and he should.
I've been saying this Rookie air.
You should still be reproducing around like 30 points in a short season.
He's gonna be great, and you should be playing on the second line right out of the gate.
So yeah, and then for that for Hendrix last year, I think it's gonna be pretty good as well.
I don't think he's going to get much NHL time in the next couple of years, but definitely say by year three is gonna be an NHL regular, probably playing on the liner.
So because let's be real Niklas Backstrom of gay, because that's off are two very good center.
So I don't know, You know, they're gonna be demoted from the first, the second line a time soon.
But LaPierre should be at their liner, at least until the close.
Then maybe the 2nd 1st liner, and then they go.
And I think, you know, he could average about 60 points this season.
So, you know, maybe, especially if Ovechkin saves around.
So So since we're under, like, white under an hour way Got more stuff for hotel.
I'm blind. I'm sorry.
So I was supposed to start in December, December 4th, but reports that may change.
Okay, the hmm would start.
And my mind's should start in December 4th because And the eggs December 1st in my mind because, like, if he's not like on January, like you did in the 2012 13 season, that's way too early for the H.
L start higher than than the NHL.
Because, like the h l started, like in October, the actual starting January, like, yeah.
I mean, It's kind of weird, like like like you need them started like, the next week or so.
Like, they got me, like, a week apart when they start, right? Like, you can't like this whole like months, you know, like this very lengthy time apart between these two leagues.
And I think the main reason why the h l is, uh, might change the day and I think they should start December 4th as well.
But I think the thing is, you know, they just we talked about even last year when they cancel their season is just like they are gonna bring in revenue with no fans like the h o literally be going out business by, like, 2020 like three if they continue to play without fans.
So, you know, you almost have to have bands and you can't play games.
You know, you're you're losing profit either way.
I mean, I guess you know you could like, make h l t v cheaper and stuff for you. Don't get that.
We could make, like, a little bit of money that same time, you have played players and stopping it could be selling anything gonna be rough The h l around that they ain't gonna survive in a bubble.
Obviously they came.
Is wrapping a bubble because 31 teams, how are you going to do a 31 team bubble ain't gonna happen.
So there, there there is no way do not do a bubble.
Yeah, you can't Even if the name show you can't say one team bubble.
Why? Why did the h l even attempted? Because for the NHL, you're basically, like, missing your whole entire family for, like, five months.
Your god, really? You know, like, how about have your teams go back to their regular and tell Arena? Because, like, since we were, like on the checkpoint of the Pandemic like because, like the the case side, I'm being off topic.
But like, the covered cases are, like gain lower than than they were before my area.
Maryland, but not not my area.
They've actually spiked up quite a bit.
Unfortunately, Yeah, closed restaurants, anyway.
But anyway, anyway, But, you know, you can't.
Yeah, you can't do a bubble, I'm thinking.
And this could be a different topic.
And so what if the NHL Rachel was to do a bubble? What I would dio all these two conference teams playing the New York and New Jersey area, and then all the Hlt is playing the California area and they use the Sharks, Kings, Ducks, Islanders, Rangers and Devils arenas.
And of that, if you were to ever do a bubble, just have the Western Conference is playing California.
Had the Eastern Conference teams play in like the New York New Jersey area? Do you agree me on that? Yes, because like, it's definitely having, like having, like players like leave like all the way and Toronto and Edmonton, like in the playoffs.
You're basically like missing your family.
If it would be simple, like, have, like, teams like like the California Division, the new the New York New Jersey Division, the Pennsylvania D.
That would be all simple.
You couldn't work around E guess you could even have multiple bubble's bust.
You just got, like, showing down the divisions, but only have, like, 14 divisions.
But hey, whatever works, works? Yeah, Okay.
Do we have more? Um, all right.
You have one more topic that e don't even know why they want to do this.
So you know Jim Rutherford is horrible.
GM, as we know, traded Patric Hornqvist for a bag of peanuts.
Somehow won two Stanley Cups, For whatever reason, acquired.
C. Mac. My Mike Madison.
No idea what the guys doing, but this might be the worst.
You know, give him credit for hiring Trevor Daley.
I think that's smart, but he's about to torch the and the Flames as rumors have come out that the Penguins are interested in hiring former Panthers GM del Town.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
You don't do that.
He was a pretty mediocre GM in Florida.
Probably even set the team back.
I mean, look at what pills he knows done in half of off season.
And he's Dunmore.
Then, uh, he feels like he's doing more in jail talent over the past, Like, two years.
I hate to say it, but no, don't do it.
Jeez, what I got here? Yeah, they I think that's an insult towards Nick Jensen.
There a little traffic cone, but I don't know it.
See it? But I didn't see on my hand.
Show for, like, two seconds.
But anyway, I mean, Dale town going to Pittsburgh.
You don't do that? No.
Even if he's your assistant, you rather have Trevor Daley assures us, and I'm being that serious.
All right, Well, what do you want to do? We got about 15 minutes.
I think I have a funny name.
Michelle, Um, to to replace the free to replace the free agency.
Since we're about thio.
So it's pretty much the important ones is about to leave.
I got three left.
Like like like Craig Anderson.
Like those, like, two big free agents up Pretty much, Yeah, I think I got I think I got funny name.
So now we'll do some trivia.
So we got a Richter ph d.
5 million deal over 15 years.
Gets various in long term because she Okay, well, I mean, why would you pay a girl you in your deal? Why the 67.
5, like, at his at that time.
And he's not a bit too much, but at the same time, does the 15 years always gets me on that? Yeah.
Yeah. All right. Right for another one.
This NHL legend on the sir should be slide.
And you know what Z's 2013 means going on here? Yeah.
I mean, now that was good.
Back in 20 three.
I'm begging you.
Bring back nail back a list I'm Josh hosting concerning the NHL, then soak in Alien.
Don't even know now.
Alcopops. HL stats.
Yeah, probably on average.
So So? So I think for trivia, I think I think we should do something.
Um, I was about to go on this date like my on.
Yeah, let's just do like maybe all right, are you find that we couldn't do trip? Yeah.
Um, todo to do? Yeah.
This is a true or false true or false Mary Lamu on December 31st.
I think it was in the early eighties record a five goal game with a even strength power play goal.
Um, no, uh, county shots, even strength.
Shorthanded goal, power play goal and pounding shot.
True or false? That is true.
And bonus point is that then he play against the Rangers.
I think so, Bob, All give that e think.
Anyway, um, all right.
Well, like I said, I like to do the tradition we talked about, player.
Why not bring them up in the trivia question? So we'll do a good friend, Chris Tierney here.
How many points did he record in his rookie season with the San Jose Sharks back in 14.
15? You might overthink this.
Yeah, I think I'm gonna over think this I'm good.
I'm gonna do, like, a bonus answer doing like goals and assists.
So I'm gonna say Christiane E 10 goals, 11 assists for 21 points.
You got the Twitter.
Okay, you got the 21 points, right? It was six goals and 15 assists, but you get the toy.
What points, right.
I did not look this up.
I swear to God, guys, that's where I know.
I know you didn't. I was watching you.
You guys can look at my search history.

Um Ah, Here's a good one.
Who was the last time captain to play at the Maple Leaf Gardens? If you get this answer wrong, I have a friend who is the least fan.
He would He would be so upset of you.
Why do I feel like I know this? But I don't know.
I'm thinking of, like, 10 people right now.
Isn't Matt Sundeen? Yeah.
Oh, goodness. Good. Okay.
I was thinking like it was gonna be like, one little Clark, or like Don't Gilmore or something I'm like, No, it's gotta be Matt Sundeen.
And it was Okay.
Alright. A heart attack.
All right? Yeah.
17 Zane back entire.
Played eight games with the Bruins.
What was his record? Yes.
Um, I'm gonna say 13 Yeah, I said 13 and one.
Okay, I was coaching on my end.
It was when form.
Oh, poor waterman didn't even know in the game.
Why was he so good in the h? L didn't even win a game.
All right, let's see.
Um, here's a good all right into 2019 Stanley Cup file.
Who scored the game winning goal? Which was the first goal? Oh, no, it's the second.
No, No, because it was the Bruins scored one late Alex Pietrangelo.
Zach Sanford? Yeah, I'm gonna pull it up.
I thought it was like a defenseman.
Just like ripping One buyer ask.
I remember like I was stoppable, but you messed it up.
Yeah, I'm calling it up.
Uh, that will be mhm.
I think I think it's Patricia or Sanford.
I think I'm pretty sure it's Pietrangelo.
I'm, like, 90% sure because I remember it was like a rocket from the blue line, and I was just like, rascals Got to stop that.
Like it was bad to like grass just stuck his pad.
I would like, like, if I remember correctly, Just like a bunch of go right by him.
Yeah, It was just like, What were you doing? Yeah. All right.
Now that's Galchenyuk on his 15.
, get away! The tribute question.
Gonna say that was Alex Galchenyuk on the centers.
What team is this? But it's okay.
We'll do another Alex Galchenyuk question.
Then I was coaching Jack in his career.
What is this? Plus minus rating.
Right. Well, you said plus minus career.
Yes. Plus minus career.
Like what's this? Plus minus? I think it let me just say It's pretty horrible.
What was your guest? I said minus 20.
Okay, here's the interest.
Uh, I can give you one more question.
That's fine with you.
So the much Canadians in Washington for those So the Canadian set the fastest to Google record by one team who scored the today? Just very cooking.
Neami e stole me or see Nick Suzuki.
Oh, this is the game where they scored in, like, two goals in a second.
