and we should be going live any second now.
One are we live yet? And, uh, there we go.
What is going on? Sportscaster? We are live.
I got comments up on my phone right now.
If anybody wants to participate, it is if we get the exact time it is.
East Coast Time.
Thursday, August 22nd and we do have a Packers games.
Next starts at 8 p.
Week through the preseason, the one where your starters supposed to play the most.
Not sure, I agree with that, but we'll get into it.
I have the entire preseason slate up in terms of notes for each position.
I'm going to be primarily and only really focusing on the Packers, but we'll talk on the Raiders to since there's going to be some things that will just be seeing in that game.
So what my schedule is going to be looking like on sportscaster will be some streams before some of the night's late start.
Some live streams over here that'll be kind of cooperating hand in hand with YouTube and then some specific Packers looks Look ahead like this.
We'll be going live tonight during the Packers game offer, probably the first in parts of the second quarter.
Really, when the starters are out there and then we're going to also be going live on like a Monday during the regular season to kind of recap What happened Monday morning? Quickly.
So couple streams a week in terms of live content on that front.
Yeah, I'm excited.
So let's just get right into it.
Um, we'll go position by position for the Packers and kind of highlight over something's tow watch.
Really? That's the main thing for each team, primarily focusing on the Packers.
So, I mean, is there I'm not Just gonna play is the clear thing to watch for the Packers, so I think you should play. No.
Do I think the Let him play? Yeah, one or two possessions.
Not smart. No need to do it.
Look, there's a couple of things here for the Packers quarterback said Any interesting to discuss one.
Is I should our aeronautics play? No, This man does not need to reps when he's been practicing during the weeks with other teams enjoying practices, and even without that, this man does not need those two drives in a preseason game that are gonna be very lax.
Two days ago, No actual pressure on you to get anything done.
So no, I did not believe the people that think that he has to playing here, not by any means at all, eh? So that's where that is.
And let me just kind of get up the just get out of the common section here.
So, yeah, I don't care about that.
But the backup quarterback situation is being blown out of proportion.
It really is like, I don't care that the package back up suck.
I don't if Aaron Rodgers decides to get injured for, like, the third or fourth time in his career for extended amount of time and he's not gonna be there this year for six or seven or eight weeks in the entire season, there's a good chance Packers aren't going anywhere.
The only way that I think the backup quarterback situation for the Packers and most teams matters is Look, don't come at me with Oh, the Eagles did it.
The Eagles were like one of two teams doing with a backup, and that backup is very rare.
to find a nick Foles, That sort of, ah, caliber backup.
So don't be thinking that the Packers the only team with a bad back up I'll go look anywhere else.
Really? Honestly looking the other side of the boat.
Mike Glennon and Nate Peterman. Not great options.
And open looking Dallas right now with Jack potentially gonna be holding out.
Maybe you have Cooper rush back there. I mean, come on.
No teams have that great of, ah, of a quarterback depth outside of like, the saints who have two good backups S o. I don't care.
I don't care what backup quarterback situation is.
I'm not going to kind of judge over.
You have. Aaron Rodgers is your starter.
If he goes down Week three and he's out for 10 weeks, it doesn't matter who the hell your backup is.
You're probably not gonna be going into the playoffs even if he does return in time.
Some people can say Oh, but the Packers or three and one, and then he goes down for eight weeks back up.
They win you a couple of games to be in a spot to get to the playoffs.
Yes, that makes sense.
But those situations and being in a perfect situation like that will rarely arise.
And you can still probably squeak out a couple of wins, as they did with a Matt Flynn a few years back when they signed him, as they did with Ah, Brett Hundley, as ugly as it was in overtimes.
First the Browns.
So, yeah, I'm not too concerned really at all about trying to work through the weeds of the dish on Kaiser's The 10 Boils, the Manning Wilkins.
Obviously, Kaiser's the backup.
He's a young kid who is like, what, 23 people want to kind of jump to conclusions about him as a backup after one year in Cleveland, when they weren't the Browns that they are now and had a terrible coach.
I haven't had a terrible general manager just had everything bad in that system and how it's turned around once he's gone, so you're not gonna hold so much against him.
I think he's fine as a backup, and again, you have Aaron Rodgers, your starter.
If Aaron I just goes down with three or four for the whole season, why the hell do you care? Who the hell is starting at quarterback? Not not many things.
You're gonna lift that roster even though it has improved, especially on the defensive side.
Not many teams are gonna lift any or quarterbacks.
Backups are gonna look really any roster to the Promised Land.
And, yes, I know Nick Foles won a Super Bowl a couple years ago.
They fall is also didn't start week 345678 and start that late into the season and kind of lead his team's two victories when Carson Ones went out late in the year.
So I don't really care to be completely honest with you.
And just bluntly, I don't care about the back of situations.
If Rogers is not playing, obviously, we're gonna be forced to watch on the stream later.
Something Sean Kaiser.
I like to see what the kid has out of Notre Dame, but for the most part, people are overblowing the backup quarterback job here, saying, after last week Oh, we wish we could have Joe Callaghan back.
Do you? Do you? If you had Joe Callaghan back there and he was being the average to bed football player that he is, is a quarterback position.
Does it really matter if he's there? If Rogers gets hurt? No.
The reason you're tuning into Packers games each week, at least the reason I am is because they're a high quality football team with one of the best quarterbacks of all time.
If he quickly gets injured, and now you're watching Brett Hundley every week, Yeah, I'll be tuning in.
But my expectations or not, yeah, they're gonna be the same signal Durant this week.
My expectations are bread harmonies. Fucking starting.
There's a good chance they lose, but I'll see what they can.
Do it, right? So seizure expectations.
There are 85 to 90% of the court teams in the league that if their quarterback went out court extended amount of time, they probably would be hurt and not make the postseason.
So that's my take on the quarterback position.
I love to see it. Rogers.
If they do, Indeed, playing tonight is gonna be a pleasure to watch.
I would rather not go out there, but we'll see you later on today.
They still have not made a note on that for the running backs and then we'll talk about really Oakland quickly.
In the end of the day, the running backs Aaron Jones seems to kind of be over this hamstring injury that he's been dealing with.
I have been here.
One drive for him potentially sees a little bit more.
I imagine Aaron Jones on the field as much as Rogers is.
If Rodgers plays.
If he's not, then you wanted to drive for and Aaron Jones.
Seems like all these guys are fully gotten healthy now on the Factor backfield for Week one of the preseason, you didn't really have anybody.
And that's when Dexter Williams kind of had to go out there and carry the load for whatever 15 plus touches that he saw in the receiving and rushing game.
He saw no work last week.
Extra Williams has really fallen down.
Dark matter before, has kind of singled him out after a couple of practice is 11 Practice stands out significantly this past week for him going on the field and just not knowing what was happening in a joint practice live kind of scrimmage on.
He didn't like that.
He just didn't like the guy I don't know.
It's kind of his responsibilities out there at all, especially at this point in the preseason, which is actually understandable.
I never thought Dexter Williams would be any type of a big piece of this offense.
When you have Aaron Jones supposedly going to be taking a big step forward, especially in the passing game, then you still have Jamal Williams, who I believe is a very bad and inefficient back in terms of success rate.
But a guy who, yeah, he's going to get touches in the backfield for whatever reason over and Jones, because they don't believe Aaron Jones, 20 carry a game guy.
I don't think he's that he is, either.
The fact is, on the run for Steve, you could get some balance in there, let him run the ball 15 to 18 times a game.
If you are leading them yet, the second half milk Seymour clock with the better back and Eric Jones gonna be excited to watch him play today.
Every single time I touched the ball led the league last year in terms of amount of carries that went for a first down or 10 or more yards.
So Yeah, I'm very excited to see him play today, and then the second they're, you know, they're just a bunch of running backs I don't really care about.
This team has two fullbacks, for some reason on their roster tomorrow.
Williams doesn't excite me.
They kind of know what they have in Dexter Williams.
He doesn't excite me.
Trade Carson may be the only guy.
Seems somewhat interesting.
I mean, they signed the guy.
Maybe you get some extended run in the second half, but outside of that, at the running back position, nothing stands out.
It's a matter of just seeing if Aaron Williams continues to look good, continues to see him healthy out there.
And then outside of that, not much more is going to stand out for me.
Um, and just trying to see this quickly.
Yeah, so we'll go to a wide receiver.
But this this is the position that matters, at least on offense.
Right? Offensive line.
They're working through Lane Taylor to see if he'll actually make the team.
I want to see the shot Gary on the defensive side of this, but it's gonna be the wide receivers for the Packers that are gonna mean anything today. It also.
I mean, you have Jake.
Right now, you have Geronimo N V s and you have Adam's.
Those three guys were definitely on the roster.
Jake, who move for the second year in a row, has just been fantastic in the preseason.
Last time out, he had three catches on five targets for 52 yards.
I have absolutely no concerns with Jake.
Tomorrow he's going to be the fourth guy on this team is gonna be the fourth wide receiver on this team.
I don't see how he won't be so then you get on.
But I do have interesting playing him in like the F s today on.
Then you get the rest of these Packers wide receivers who were all over the place.
So yeah, Geronimo, He's gonna be playing today somewhat.
He had three targets last week.
Two catches for 29 yards.
That's always good to see him being active.
Him being back after the injury.
Last year S O, you get Alison Adams should take the field for a little while.
Same thing for NBS, but the rial.
Biggest question mark outside of people over exaggerating the whole situation with the quarterbacks.
The real biggest question mark today he's going to be, um let me just look at this right now.
There I am Live Perfect s o.
The biggest question Mark is going to really just be what's happening with wide receivers.
Are they gonna take seven on the depth chart? It seems like the Packers gonna be taking seven wide receivers they have in the past.
So again, let's count off the receivers.
It's going to be definitely divided.
They envy s Geronimo.
And I imagined Jay Kumar was the number four, right.
You're not gonna have any cop this year.
So when you go down that depth truck, there's a couple guys that stand out St Brown agreement a state brown in quantum.
It's what everyone to say his name might be.
I'm saying Brown is gonna be a guy who Rogers has already shown some, uh, kind of pushed for him.
Whenever Roger will talk about even interview, it's usually a good thing I said that he's a guy who has not been getting a lot of praise or anything in the media, but he's just a guy that Oh, yeah, that's that's like Quantum is.
We know what he can do.
That's kind of the quote was, We know what he can do.
He's pretty good, but they have a couple other guys, so if they're gonna take at least six, probably seven.
There's a lot of guys we're gonna be on the bubble.
So Millie Taylor to reading. They're not gonna be there.
Art has had a good preseason, led the team in receiving and reception last week, and I believe targets as well.
Alan is our is our looks like a pretty seat or NFL wide receiver who, if they cut him, there's a great chance very quickly.
The entire league will be interested in him because the packages have much more depth and most teams do it the wide receiver position.
Right now, most of these guys that they get cut will be somewhere else very quickly.
So what I'm seeing is the final.
We can call it three spots.
Let's just say the final three spots between State Brown, Trevor Davis, Shepherd lassard and want more.
We know Trevor Davis interest in the special things we know since he's come back from the injury.
He probably has the biggest leg up for that five spot.
And then you're very shampoos played.
The Sarge was played well, you have St Brown, who's played well and has kind of impressed Rogers.
If I had to guess right now, what we're looking at in terms off last, like three wide receivers on this team, it's going to be the last three.
Assuming that Jake, who's number four, it's going to be Lazard, it's going to be Davis, and it's going to be saying Brown, So you're going to get a Shepherd cut.
Although he's been playing well, he had six targets.
He actually led the team last week and targets not.
I was already at six targets.
Three catchers, 11 years a touchdown.
He'll probably be.
The guy was not going to making this team and again Week three and definitely weak for going to be a big in the indicator of this.
But mom or he's been doing good this week in practice, but for the most part hasn't been doing much all preseason.
This has probably been his best week, but may be too little, too late He's the guy who in the second half tonight and then also for before, if he's still here by then, is going to need to kind of take a step forward.
It seems like the top four wide receivers were going better setting.
It seems like you can kind of judge the fifth and sixth and being a Saint Brown, based on the way that Rogers is sort of praised him and then also Trevor Davis, based on his special teams abilities that he brings to the table.
And then you have three guys and shepherd.
Those aren't and more.
They're not gonna take eight guys, three guys.
We're going to be on this roster.
One of them out of those three more, has not done anything to separate himself.
Lazard and Shepherd had been active in these games.
Those are and so far, has been a little bit better and probably fits the mold better for this offense.
So that's my guess of what the wide receiver depth is going to be for the Packers.
It's going to be the Vontae number one.
It's going to be Geronimo number two, and you're gonna be just a great fantasy sleeper.
Everybody else's hyped up over MPs MPs Number three.
I think the quality receiver number four is gonna be Kumerow number five.
I believe we'll be saying Brown six Shepherd and then seven loser and I think those are has a real ability to kind of move up this depth chart and be a guy who can overtake all of the other guys outside of a Adam's outside of a now listen and MPs.
But could be that Number four on four wider super sets and really just a size mismatch there.
So that's it in terms of wide receivers, really just gonna cover the offense inside right now.
Defensive side and really the offensive line.
Lean sailors holding major piece the watch, battling for a roster spot.
I don't think he gets it, but we'll see.
Should have some extended work today with the second unit.
Most likely not gonna put a guy who's battling for a roster spot probably out there.
It Rogers all that much.
If he does play and then on the defensive side, Not much that I really care about.
Tony Brown would be the main one guy who's been taking a step forward gonna be kind of really battling and pushing the Josh tones of the world on the Josh's actions of the world a little bit.
Tony Brown and then Rashaad.
Gary Gary. I just want to see him play as much.
She possibly gun tight end in the kind of circle back to some of Oakland side of this.
What's going on? If you're watching this right now, if you're watching over from Twitter, hit me with us.
Something on Twitter let me know. Let me know. Drop a common.
I just don't know that somebody.
It says 14 people are watching.
I don't know what somebody's actively watching, I guess.
There's an issue with the sportscaster common section, but nobody's been common thing over the last week or two.
And there's been people watching each of these, so let me know.
So Packers tight ends? Yeah, I think Jimmy Graham is in a make or break year.
A show me type of year kind of been, um, the talk of camp early on Now, Robert Tony has been the top since then.
He had three targets last week, Tony and he had five targets last three catches for 17 yards in height, keeps growing on this kid last year, you remember the Seattle touchdown where he called and he just went flipped it.
Great. Absolutely credible.
But he's gonna be a guy who I am very interested in for fantasy in terms of the preseason.
For this game, he should see he's gonna be a guy who have Jimmy Grant plays an instrument Graham will play.
A couple strives.
Probably first quarter.
Antonio is probably gonna be on the field for at least 2/4.
If not, then the remaining 3/4.
So you like Robert? Tony? Um, Andi.
The targets were there and just in general.
And this Packers offense, a young kid who they have yet to really build the tight end around right.
This office has been so good it's installed Michael Finley for a very short spurt before he got it injured and ended his career.
They haven't been able to find insight, and they've been ableto buy tight ends that just don't work out.
I believe Jared Cook actually worked out.
It would have been really good if they continue with it.
Marty has been an absolute disaster, right? Jared Cook.
They only rented him and then didn't kind of re signed him.
I thought Rogers like them Rogers valve didn't go there.
And then you're going to get Jimmy Graham who's an absolute bust last year.
So hopefully we get something more there.
Hopefully, they conform their own side.
And this Tony in kid looks good early on.
Outside of that, nothing stands out of town of tight end.
I mean, there's gonna be just something tight.
End slash full backs out here. Jimmy Graham.
I love Mercedes.
The list. You should check out Mercedes Lewis and Zac Efron's workout.
It's on YouTube on Zac Efron's channel.
It's just so cool.
The dude is such a hard worker.
One puts his head down, make sure like an appreciate just him and players in general so much more that are like him not doing it for any flashy legs do because you like it. Do your job.
Make some money because you're good at it. Mercedes.
This is a guy who not gonna catch a ton of balls or even be on the field in terms of passing situations of time.
This year, for to be a pass runner Route Runner and be like the focal point off of a play.
It'll be on the field in terms of blocking goal line work, and he's just a great overall player and a really cool guy.
So no other guys in tight and they're gonna staring out.
No, no Evan Bayliss.
It's going to be Robert Tony on show on the second unit, and then it's going to be sort of the Jimmy Graham number one unit and just Mercedes.
It was kind of factored into both of those sides of it.
So that's it for the offensive side, really, just Tony Brown and Marsha Gary on the defensive side that will be looking into with any sort of depth watching it.
And then obviously other things will stand out as we go through again.
We'll be live today or tonight at 8 p.
For that, I'll be live going live on this platform as well as YouTube at the same time at 5 p.m.
For about an hour, 40 minutes to kind of cover the fantasy sleep tonight.
If you're playing draftkings and fanduel, I'm circling back really from Oakland.
It's just a battle of the backups right now to see if Josh Jacobs gets any run.
So you have Mike Lennon and Nate Peterman.
Mike Glennon was the number two guy to come in, and Week one PM in last week came in second and pretty much on both weeks.
Whoever came in third and played the worst defenders played the best.
So I like Glennon in terms of fantasy and just to see what he could do.
If he comes in against third stringers, he's definitely levels above their talent level.
He's probably had a second stringer level, to be honest with you and then for running backs, does Josh Jacobs finally get any sort of run? Are they gonna play Josh Jacobs, the guy that they said We'll have the opportunity to be the workforce back going into the season right now? I'm not sure how much run he gets tonight, if all if that much at all.
Jacobs is gonna be interesting, Ben.
After that, you have Jalen Restart.
It will be a piece of this offense, probably for the first half tonight, and definitely during the regular season, the way good and kind of describe the running back situation is Jacob's alive weeks 1 to 2 and maybe three to prove himself as a three down back meeting.
You could go out there, pick up the short yardage you can get into the end zone in the red zone.
You can obviously makes a bigger place, and the biggest pieces are past protection and just being able to be a pass catching running back.
If you can do that in weeks 12 and three good and pretty much said, yes, he will have this job he's gonna be his audition for.
If not, then he'll be sort of the first and second down back.
Jamie Machar will be that third down, past, catching back.
I have no worries about Josh.
Jacob's not being able to pass protect.
I think that this is going to be his job.
It's just a matter of the games that they're in.
Will they have the ability during the regular season to kind of run the ball? That's what they're gonna want to do.
But you have more weapons out there.
Antonio Brown is going to want the ball.
Tyrone Williams, Hunter run from this office, is a very under the radar sneaky good offense.
So I think he'll be fine.
I think seeing him tonight would be actually pretty cool as well.
Outside of that, that much tight ends.
Darren Waller? Actually, I should point out.
So that's actually something probably the best rookie tight end gonna be out there right now.
You could line up everywhere out.
Why in the slot in the backfield, obviously aligned as a tight end right there, Isa blocker.
He looks great so far.
He's the guy that in hard knocks.
And before the hard knocks episode even came out, there was reports that he is the one guy in practice that is having the best overall practice and that they're the most excited about more excited than Antonio Brown.
More excited in Tyrol Williams, the guy that they got more excited than the rookie Hunter Renfroe, more excited than Josh Jacobs.
You got all these young guys on this team, including one of the best receivers in the league, was just being absolutely ridiculous right now, Antonio Brown and everybody is hyped up over the school tight, and Darren Waller, I think he's going to be a very interesting season long fantasy snag, and I think he's going to be a very interesting play, not only tonight but also moving forward and D.
F s. So that's it. Wide receivers.
Nothing stands out.
You have to get to some depth.
Brown, the main writer.
Seaver would be a hunter.
Renfroe if you get some more snaps tonight, a whole first half.
I'm very high on this Raiders offense because I do think Josh Makeups takes over.
The job does find I love Henry Hunter and from the slot, a rookie who already took over the wide receiver.
Three in the primary slot role is very impressive.
It kind of makes a statement.
Obviously a he's a great player.
He's going to be on the field matter once All this is said and done, you have a great tight end.
It seems in Darren Waller great, Young said.
And Tyrone Williams is just an absolute burner on the other side was very consistent, so the offense looks good face value.
I think their cars in the situation to do well this year.
That's what I'm looking at in terms of the Packers on both sides of the ball tonight, in terms of the opponent.
Not really much of a defense, but wide receivers.
A big calling. Tonight.
I let everybody else kind of over hyped the quarterback position.
I don't care if Rogers goes down, the season is over right, unless he's going down for 3 to 4 to five weeks and you need just 2 to 3 wins in there, just float your boat.
Okay, I get that.
But if Rogers goes down and he's injured for a long time, I don't care about watching the Packers.
I'm gonna watch them, but I don't care, because there's going to be very much expectations that Sean Kaiser is not leading a team to the playoffs.
Many Wilkins wherever hell's name is not leading a team to the glass up.
That's what I'm looking at is just a wide receiver depth, mainly tonight, some robber Tony on your side, Gary and Tony Brown on defense.
Hopefully, enjoy this.
