What's up, everybody? Welcome to the community.
Six men podcast.
I'm your host to buy his best today.
Will be joined with Brian Ralph, a college basketball ****yst.
Uh, well, you know, it was hard saying this last night.
Don't know why I was so difficult, but yeah, we're gonna talk about E was basketball.
How you doing, my friend? Yeah, Not too bad.
What about you? I'm doing all right, man.
Just got back in town this weekend, and I was that I was covering, uh, McDonald's all American evaluation event.
So, um, so I think we're in good hands and going forward.
Yeah, let's get on the court first, and then we'll worry about future.
It's been it's been a crazy just couple of days with everything kind of going on.
I mean, even just being around the kids, you could just tell like how happy they were Just toe play basketball, You know, I don't It was so simple.
They could go to the class in person, play games, you know, with their friends and, you know, be a normal high school kid.
But now you know some of them that was probably probably the second or third time they played basketball with a group like that, you know, all summer.
I mean, we're in the fall now.
I know it's crazy.
Luckily, we all got what, two months left to 2020.
So Well, let's wrap this up.
And I mean allegedly allegedly were playing games in 29 days.
And most teams don't even have a schedules.
I don't know how that's gonna happen, but we're playing basketball. Allegedly.
It's it's gonna be a cluster and probably will piece it along as we go.
But the goal is to get to an N C a.
A tournament and the A and all the conferences air committed to getting there, if for no other reason.
Then they lost out on all that money last year, and they're not gonna do it again.
Probably peace in our way through to the mid march.
But we'll get there.
Yeah, let me everything sponsorship real quick.
Um, the opinionated.
It's six months about thrive, fantasy, thrive, fantasies, a daily fantasy sports that for player props they have eliminated.

So, Mr Ralph, we just talked on it briefly.
We're supposed to play basketball college basketball 29 days from now.
But unfortunately, many teams don't have a schedule.
I know Coach Beard was saying that he thought the schedule would have been released a week or two ago.
I mean, the Big 12 schedule got released, but, you know, with Orlando canceling was six tournaments.
They said teams lost at least what five games or so? Yeah, roughly around their depending on how big determined was they were in.
We've seen this happen in college football, and I think it'll be something similar in college basketball, where we'll have a set schedule of what we hope happens.
But do the positive covert tests at one program or disagreements as we're seeing, is a problem in Orlando disagreements over coated Covic protocols and then CDC guidelines and conference guidelines about when they get back.
If programs coming from, ah, hot spot or going to a hot spot, it may be a situation where if there's a five game slate on a certain night wind up actually getting three games and the other one's air shuffling around, my guess is that's what we see.
But maybe we'll get a little bit of taste on November 25th.
That's what I'm hoping.
Just just a little bit of a taste.
I mean, it was interesting to me today.
What you see, Bethune Cookman? They already said we're not playing games, so we're down 356 teams now because one the cook is not gonna play.
Yeah, and I don't know how many schools will follow suit.
The Ivy League has talked about canceling it, canceling their sitting out altogether.
All all eight teams in there so possible we could get down toe 3. 49.
Yeah, I don't think with me.
It's just if you're Kentucky and I don't know who pizza prayer view, they want to play Kentucky.
Well, if you know Kentucky, there are powerful.
They have the money to afford test but prayer view they might be only able to afford, you know, testing their guys once a week as maybe twice a week.
But Kentucky contest there, guys every day.
If I'm a parent coach or a player for that for Kentucky, I don't feel comfortable having my son play against.
It's getting scores on the test of their kids twice a week.
I mean, yeah, and we're seeing a lot of the non conference schedules.
Go to more of these multi team events or MT.
Probably seen them online because it allows for a centralized testing and not just one team comes in.
One team comes out kind of a deal when they're different conferences.
Three conferences are they're still gonna be the traveling road in home, but all the guidelines to be the same.
The problem is, when you get into these these nonconference games where there's differing protocols in Kentucky sense, you're probably going to have to pay for some at least probably one round of testing for prayer, for sure if they get there to make sure that everything gets off okay.
But I'm sure in these negotiations that's being included.
That's being talked about.
And it's one of the big reasons why some teams don't have schedules because those negotiations take time.
I just kind of feel bad for the coach because, you know, you're a coach, you know? Normally, you know, get scheduled.
Thing has already been determined, you know, months ago.
But, you know, you're kinda talking thing, you know, around the fly that, you know, if you were supposed to go to Orlando, you know, things were just, you know, getting canceled.
Then you have to think about the kids to I think, what 76% of schools bye.
The start will be out of class like that.
We'll be out of class like any person so they can take all the classes online.
But you can't have kids you know, traveling all over the country, you know, because cov you know, luckily, some of these schools they have charter planes, but I can't go from Nebraska.
It is not safe right? Exactly now, not having other kids on campus, whether some school said completely online and have been so for a while, others are back after Thanksgiving break.
It's going to allow those campuses to serve as a mini bubble for athletes because they're not going to be as many people there.
So in one sense, that's a positive thing.
But as you mentioned, unless you have a chartered plane that's Onley, those people who have been in this bubble, it's impossible to account for Right? Yeah, I mean, I mean, I said, like, hopefully we can we can get game, but yeah, you make a good point that the schools will be like many bubbles.
I guess the thing is, though, you know the kids, they're gonna have to be responsible.
I mean, basketball is kinda and you get a kind of keep tabs on what they're doing because it's, you know, it's 12 to 15 guys, as opposed to 50 to 80 what it is for football.
But I think the kids is gonna have to be, you know, responsible and mature.
You can't party and have fun like you did the year before, but you know, you're on the team.
You want to keep not only yourself healthy, but your family.
When you go home, your players, your coaching style, you want to keep them healthy and eventually, like you said, you wanna have the N c a a tournament.
My biggest thing is just like, you know, the college kids.
I was a former college student.
They wanna have fun and, you know, like in loving in my school, some of the bars are and, you know, and things happen.
And some a lot of kids, they have apartments, you know? They're not going to go home, that they're paying for an apartment.
So how do you? Well, you know, once the once the gym, the lights cut down and they go home.
How can I monitor my 12 college athletes? Can I monitor them? How did I get? Because I can't tell the state.
I can tell the stay at home.
But sure, coach.
But what does that really mean? Right, you're asking college kids to go against everything.
College kids have been about and on and to go against nature, and that's that's tough.
And if it gets to the scenario where there aren't other kids on campus, maybe that gets a little easier because there aren't distractions and non team members pulling them to do other things.
But that's a that's a big problem that coaching staffs are facing is having to do all of that extra monitoring.
Um, you know, you don't want a baby sit the kids and daily testing is a way to sort of cir***vent.
That's where you can send them home and screen them when they when they come back.
But again, as you mentioned, not every school can afford that.
You write me a lot of schools can mean probably how many schools do you even think can even afford to test consistently? 40.
Yeah, You gotta have the power conferences.
Um, you could probably even go down to, like, the American and maybe the 8.
10 on you could pick select schools like I'm sure Gonzaga probably could, But, I mean, outside of, uh, yeah, outside of that, it's kind of a crap shoot.
Yeah, I think so.
I think it is pretty much a crapshoot.
I mean, I know that I was watching, you know, I have some friends at school, and, you know, I remember I saw from snaps a look, Indiana University.
The day one, the parties were just one of the biggest parties I've ever I've ever seen in my life.
I was just like, Good Lord, I was like that.
You're not getting, you know, the proposed to be social distancing. And then funny.
This isn't a funny story, but I have a buddy of mine.
He goes to tech.
He so he had to get together with a bunch of his friends.
It was, I don't know, 30 40.
Then they cooked chicken.
You know, him and his cousin did not know they were asymptomatic.
They did not know that they have the coronavirus.
They were the two preparing and making the chicken.
So theoretically, they made Corona chicken.
Well, they gave it to the 30 40 other people that was there.
Well, guess how many of them tested positive all of them.
She's and it's just like I get it.
You wanna have fun? I get it.
But it is things like that that scared me because, you know, like I said, two of them test that they are asymptomatic.
They give everyone that ate that chicken girl in the world, and this is just some preparing food, you know what I mean? So this is the fourth for you to just transfer things like that? Yeah, I mean it, Z, that's one of the things that the daily testing can help guard against is the a symptomatic spreading.
But if you're one of those programs who is only testing once a week or once every two or three days, you have to be able to cast that as much.
And if college kids are being college kids, there's there's a lot of risk involved.
It's obviously why conferences and programs, they're arguing about the type of protocols that are needed in order to play safely, because if you have a nascent touching a ball that everybody else touches, there's a pretty good chance that everybody involved in that game who at least touches the ball in the game ball At some point or another, he's gonna get it.
I mean, I think also the big thing for me to some of these schools, you know, where they're geographically located.
Um, one is hard of the social distance into.
I mean, like, if you're a kid playing at Miami, it's kind of hard to not enjoy Miami, like, you know, it's kind of hard, you know, hearing.
Yes, that's why you want.
That's a big part of our you went to It's kind of hard toe.
The beach is right there.
I mean, even in Miami alone, you have f i u is there.
You have, like, UCF isn't that far away.
You know? You have Florida State, um, isn't that far away from the beach? Beaches in general is kind of hard for them to just be like, Yeah, you know, I'll just relax.
So I relax this weekend and relaxed this whole year.
You wanna go to the beach? You may have girlfriends, things they want to do, too.
So, I mean, hopefully they can be, you know, be mature seasons seasons counting on it, right? Yeah.
Not for sure for sure.
Next thing I want to move into is, uh, you know, transfer.
You know, a lot of kids getting a waiver you saw last week.
Oliver star got the waiver.
Uh, Jacoby, Jacob Topping got the waiver as well.
I know tech fans there have been I mean, I feel that they asked me every day what is not going to get the way.
What is not gonna get the waiver? Well, if they've been paying attention, the one n c.
Has a lot of things to deal with right now, like scheduling.
But they have been kind of going in order of when these waiver claims were filed.
So he was kind of in the middle towards the end, I think that I mean, it's what, October 27th, I think probably 2.
5 weeks from now, we are a week and a half from now.
We don't hear anything.
I would probably be panic.
But if you're a tech fan, which you be worried about Matt getting away for, I think the I think it's like 98% of people getting the waiver, so I don't I wouldn't be worried.
I wouldn't be too worried and let's say worst case scenario.
He doesn't get the waiver for For whatever reason, I don't know what that would be, right? Well, let's say he doesn't get it.
He's coming to Texas Tech to be a primary ball handler in his mind and to work on his point guard skills.
One of the reasons he left Georgetown is because he wasn't in that role in NBA scouts told him within size to be a legitimate NBA prospect, they need to see him in more of a ball handling ball. Dominant role.
Texas Tech has a number of those guys already.
Tyler Tyler Edwards is, in my opinion, better when he's on the ball.
The Mark Burnett's gonna have the ball, a good amount as well that Burton plays this year.
He's gonna have the ball a good deal as well.
Obviously, you want me clung to be healthy because it's better to have good players and beards and good enough coach toe, where he'll be ableto make sure everybody gets enough of the ball and keep everybody happy.
Do all of the great coaching things that don't necessarily involve X is a nose right? But MK Long is certainly a better fit, probably for next year's group.
Maybe, Maybe then issues group.
Just from just from that standpoint you want you want him to play? You want him to be to be a part of the scene because he makes them better.
But long term, I don't know if it's necessarily the end of the world.
If he doesn't get a waiver, well, I know burden.
He's not gonna play.
He's, um he's sitting there. He's gonna red shirt.
So I think with him, I mean, even, I mean, even still.
I mean, you have guards.
I mean, we have a bunch of, you know, tweener wings.
You know, I think that with Bird, I think gets more of the reason why they wanted the plastic he just provides, like, pop, you know, take, you know, take that come from, You know, the very bottom to, you know, a Final Four national championship appearance in the last.
But big has been there for four years and three of his two.
Yeah, two years.
Yeah, it's been really quick.
So I think Tex answers just really excited.
I think I think I might agree with you for his next year's team.
I think that they just want another ball handler, and I think teams were just excited and you have a polarizing player like that on campus.
I don't think we've ever had one like that.
You know, they want to see him playing.
I don't know this for good reason.
Yeah, he's He's an extremely talented player.
It's not like he's gonna be a negative thing.
You see, is that gonna be a positive? I want to see how Beard uses, because I think that Tech I mean, I think they could.
They won't do this, but they can't play realistically, 9 to 10 guys.
I want to see how Mac fits because he's not.
He's not a bad shooter, but he's not a good shoot.
Our policy think he's a little under effort, so I want to see how he's used.
But you're gonna have college is gonna be on the ball, but that's gonna be on the ball.
Sharon Shannon, you know, Tech, you know, Tech personnel.
They've been telling me they think he could be a big full of Player of the year candidate.
He's a 44 or five star recruit.
They think he's gonna have MBA scouts all over him.
Where does Mac fit in this? And what does his, you know, roll gonna be? And also, I mean, he's a good kid, but he has dreams of the MBA to, and it's kind of hard to spread the ball around when you have potentially 3 to 5 guys on this team, 3 to 4 guys, not killing him, that could get drafted this year.
Yeah, and I think the problems for him, or at least areas that are going to determine how much playing time he gets is going to be two fold.
The first thing, the most important things, is his efficiency.
Because you mentioned he wasn't the most efficient player at Georgetown.
Some of that was because really take shots away from him or draw defense attention away from him, especially last year after they had four players leave in December.
So not having an entire defense focused on you can help in that standpoint, and it's not, you know, he did take bad shots at times to be contribute to that, But if he understands that he's going to get more open looks, those efficiency numbers could increase.
There's also the matter of him improving his playmaking ability because throughout high school and the first couple years of Georgetown, he was a score first player and his skill set.
That's what he should be and again, what Georgetown needed him to be.
But Texas Tech has, as you mentioned, ah lot of really good options.
Ah, lot of guys who get you 10 points tonight.
It can go for 2025 on on a certain night.
So and from an MBA standpoint, if you wanna play point guard, you gotta be able to create for your teammates as well.
So if you could become more efficient and not, you know, lead the nation in assist or anything like that, But just be, ah, smart playmaker who shows you can create for others.
Yeah, he's gonna be hard to take off the court for sure.
I want to see what B, how beer runs off because I know him past.
I've been kind of critical if he's a great coach, but I mean, who am I to criticize? The coach has been to the Elite eight in a national championship game, two out of three years there.
Who am I? But that's what we do. One thing.
Yeah, that's what we owe thing.
I The thing I don't like what he does.
He plays an equal opportunity office where everyone touches the ball, which is fine until your center, who can't dribble or shoot, has the ball in three point line with 45 seconds left.
Now you're like, ****, what are you supposed to do? Is that that is what I don't like, what I want to see.
You know, he's a great coach.
Like I said, maybe he does change the offense.
But talking about Mac, sometimes playing on bad teams, you develop bad habits.
You know, people always say, Well, he like Zach Lavine.
You know, he scores 25 points a game, but is he really a winning player? You know, they have the same questions about Anthony Davis earlier in the year.
I mean, he's a top four player in the NBA, but there were some habits that you saw that he was displaying that would clues them game, but he would be double teams.
He wanted to take fadeaway jump shots into the kicking it out to LeBron, so that was a bad habit that he learned.
Can beer break those habits, or will those have to still be in the play? It'll it'll be a give and take.
But one thing with Beard is that he hasn't lost anywhere that he's been throughout his somewhat brief coaching career.
Like he, he knows the barometer for winning and what it takes to win.
And he'll identify those those bad habits MK Lung has early on, and it may take some time to get him fully out of those.
We'll see him improving those areas of the year goes on.
But you know he's probably been working on that already, if not as soon as he's eligible and gets in game action.
Some of those habits are born out of necessity.
You mentioned anything to Davis taking fade aways from his pelican today's what else was he gonna go to on the pelicans? But you know, in those cases, shooting a fade away is better than passing it.
Thio reserve 10 for contested three.
But Chloe's got some of that from Georgetown, too, because again, once a Kinjo and those guys left in December.
Who is he gonna pass to, Right, So, yeah, I mean, that's it. Yeah.
Some of its ah mindset in becoming more comfortable and trusting your teammates and their abilities, but guaranteed beards, working with him on that and getting him out of it to the point of the end of the year.
He should be fully rid of those bad habits he may have developed.
Yeah, I mean, then this here and I'm talking, talking about why he came here.
He seems like a super smart kid, and I'm sure the hell adapt to the culture.
I mean, that's one thing about Beard.
He preaches culture, culture, culture.
And, you know, every player that's came in there, you know, they pretty much brought in immediately or they bought it at some point, you know? So I think that I think that he'll be Finally, he's when he's playing with talent, is simply the most talented, hardly ever played on.
So I think that he'll definitely blending well.
And it's not like he didn't have other options for where to go.
Like he, he knows what he's getting into and that that should be a good sign for tech fans of getting the best version of McLean possible.
So I think you might have seen the news today, but there's another in the fort.
There's three teams Kansas, Auburn and Gonzaga.
They're still waiting on the fourth team Thio, you know, to be decided.
But those three teams right there, I mean, that Z they don't need a really, really? Really? Yeah, honestly, honestly, they all come.
Yeah, honestly, they don't They don't need a 14.
But, I mean, I guess if you if you have you heard anything about the potential fourth team and 1/4 2 is a 14 you would even like to see right there.
Yeah, I haven't heard anybody.
Obviously you wanted to be Ah, good team.
Because Gonzaga cancer 0.
So they're gonna get whoever this team is a game against auburn and then a game against Kansas, which is pretty good.
My guess is you're not going to get a top level.
Um, you Kentucky u N C U c l a type of team.
You could get somebody on the Auburn plane of being French top 25 team N.
A tournament contender, Just a matter of who's protocols are most in line with theirs.
To make that a fit with him being in Fort with it being in Fort Myers, maybe Florida State comes out.
Maybe that was the first time I thought of Maybe they get Miami.
You know that someone close enough with a Power Conference protocols that are gonna more closely line with Gonzaga and Kansas and Auburn's The I think the floor state would be a lot of would be a lot of fun.
Yeah, that would be a lot of I mean, I mean, Coach, he's I think he's one of probably the most underrated coach in America.
He just has a good team.
He loses players that he brings it back and then that they're the same every year.
They're gonna go to the Sweet 16 pretty much every year that no matter who he loses or who he brings in, Yeah, you're not wrong.
And Scotty Barnes's their their top freshmen.
Five star guy Israel Good there.
There's a legitimate chance he wins a C C.
Player of the year, not just freshman of the year, but the player of the year.
They do lose a lot.
And he him and Jay Walker and some other guys have to step up and be superstars.
But, like, they're gonna go 10 11 deep, they're gonna be really tall.
They're, like, really good difference.
And that's gonna be really good.
I mean, yeah, very gonna Really.
They always seem to have some 7 ft kid.
They just find from wherever, and he just comes in, and he's just good.
I don't know how he does it.
He just finds him, But I'll be with floor me with Florida.
I mean, like, you gonna play the because I think what helps them every year is you know, you play 89 10 11 guys every year.
So when you do have people leave, they could just step in.
You know, they played 17 minutes a game last year as a sop****re.
Whatever they were, they could just come in as a junior and just be ready to go.
And, you know, they lost some key pieces again.
That were the leaders of that that played more minutes.
Trenton forced the point guard.
Um, kind of ran the ship after Terence Man left.
That's the key guy after place.
The guy who is the conductor and orchestrates everything makes everything go.
I want to talk about, you know, the NBA draft and we're talking about Scotty Barnes.
He will probably be a one and done property.
I think of this class.
I think as you know, this class has probably been the most, you know, study class, I think.
And do you worry that teams may start Thio second Guess it's second.
Guess them because I've been talking to a couple of guys, um, about this draft now.
And we were talking about Florida State.
I mean, first thing that comes to mind with me is, you know, great on ball defender.
He's, you know, he's a nightmare Defensively, people.
Now we're starting to question How good is he? Defensively, I was like, OK, let's not get crazy.
If anything, he's going to do in the NBA's play defense.
If anything that you worry about teams of, you know, staff second guessing themselves the bad ones.
Yeah, e mean through the good teams and the good franchises have a system in place, it won't deviate from it.
The thing As more time goes, the more your mind can wander and change things a lot of times we.
That's why we see draft boards change from the end of March 2 draft day.
Because as time goes on, things other than playing become or important.
And sometimes those are good things, good evaluations and sometimes more times than not, they're bad evaluations.
And so because more more time has passed, I think we could see some of these teams get mawr into the, um on paper strengths or on paper potential, as opposed to the on court production and flashes that as a result, I think distract is not strong at the top.
The draft is not strong in the middle.
This draft is not strong at the end.
But I do think we could see some really good players slide because of that.
You know, I think we're probably going to see a lot of movement.
I think we're gonna see a lot of trades that especially, you know what? Their salary, Captain, I think you're gonna start seeing a lot of people getting traded a lot because, you know, with your agency, I think you start seeing God sounding one year deals with teams because I think they said around 25% of the MBA is a free agent this summer, so it's not even summer anymore.
But this offseason, but yeah, So I think that things are gonna send a lot of one year deals.
And I think teams like the Warriors.
I mean, the war is there gonna be a MBA contender? They pretty much the cars Or, you know, in their favor they could move down.
They can stay with their at, you know, they could trade the pick entirely.
You know, I think that they're going to try to move the pick.
But, I mean, maybe the warriors had to do Ah, Boston Celtic thing.
And maybe they, you know, boost up a guy really high and make a trade form.
They get a, you know, a franchise wing that helped them win the championship next year.
Who knows? But I think there will be moving.
Yeah, and I think the warriors air probably the team toe watch for that, because in ideal world they would trade that pick four a veteran who could help them win.
Now the problem is like with so many of them so much in the n b a.
Free being free agents.
I don't know who that guy is that they go after I do.
Is Kevin Love worth the second pick? Probably not.
You know, you go down the list of who could help them and there's nobody really available.
So then do they take it and draft somebody like Obi Topic and try and find that guy in the middle? Or or do they think Lemelle a ball or Anthony Edwards is the best player available? I think that's well, the draft will be interesting at one because I don't think the Timberwolves know what they're doing and I don't know it be a shock for anybody that Timberwolves don't know what they're doing.
Um, there is a chance.
I know there are a number of teams, specifically the Knicks that really liked Camilla ball.
Yeah, no, he probably won't be there past three or four.
So for a team like Minnesota, who doesn't you know, ideally, there would be some incredible to weigh wing that they could take.
Yeah, first, that guy's not there. Those guys.
Aaron, Like the the mid lottery 567 range.
So do they want to trade back with the Knicks and have the Knicks trade up to the draft law mellow and have them go back and get a Devon to sell? Maybe Isaac kokoro funds from them.
Um, we'll see my thing.
My thing with the Knicks is everyone like first of the Knicks.
They haven't, you know, won the lottery since.
What the sense Patrick Ewing.
So you know, they just don't have.
They don't have any, you know, luck.
But the thing with them is, what do they even have to offer? Even move up? Because Because it's just like because a trade I like.
I mean, I don't know how much it helps the worry, but I like if the Warriors get their pick and they swap with the sons, the sons give them Kelly you bre and the pick because I know that the warriors really like Denny.
They worked him out last week.
I don't know if he will be there at 10.
So maybe 10 other good spot, but I think that they could trade down maybe 78 ish and get a guy like you bray they could then get of Egypt.
That could do both.
That would be good for them.
Because uber is somebody who come in.
I think, you know, certainly get enough from him defensively and lessens the burden on Wiggins to be, you know, something of inefficient forward that he has never been through his career on the Warriors.
Like enough of these prospects.
What I've what I've gotten from Golden State is that they like a lot of these guys they don't love.
Please have them.
Um, so there's gonna be somebody for them, whether whether it's a visa, whether it's a guy like Terry's Halliburton from Iowa State that they like you are dead vessel.
I know they like him a lot as well.
One of those guys will probably be there at 10.
Um, if you could pick up a guy like you break on your way to do that, Yeah, yeah, I think that even something that could even do let's say they keep the pick, Let's say the symbol of draft Anthony Edwards, the Warriors just drafting Mellow.
Now he's automatically the most polarizing player in the draft.
Let's say we gettinto February 1st.
Lamela's averaging 13 5 and six shooting 45%.
I think the whole league is calling about him.
You could theoretically package him and Wiggins and I think your options air wide open to what you could get.
That's a good point as well.
And, you know, worst case scenario.
If you can't find anybody you have, then Lo Melo, Steph and Clay all shooting from half court.
I mean, even even if they go Wiseman, they get wind and start him after five.
And you know Wiseman, he's averaging 13 8 rebounds.
Ah, Block and a half.
I still think the entirely because he's fascinating.
I think the entire league, especially teams that need centers toe You know, the good that you have on.
They need to send a very badly.
I think that they would even be you.
You would have seen everything, so don't Don't worry about that.
Yeah, they they need am Allah.
Are you on this thing? Yes, unfortunately.
How did that happen? I'm just curious from North Carolina, and okay, that's that's it.
Yeah. I mean colors.
Yeah, they have.
Ah, they have a basketball team more and more or less.
There, there, there.
I mean, they kind of I think the Venti Grande popped.
Um, bridges, bridges, kids them good minutes.
I think PJ Washington is solid.
The Terry Rozier thing was weird.
Um, very interesting.
I mean, they have a basketball team.
They're probably gonna be bad for a few more years.
Hopefully they can.
You know, I think everyone just waiting for next year's draft.
This year's draft is okay.
Let's draft someone these.
But next year's draft, I think.
Is the draft there waiting everyone's waiting on? Yeah.
This was for the hornets.
Jumped up from I think it was eighth.
We would have liked to that jump to have happened next year, But maybe we'll be bad.
Yeah, yeah, maybe.
I mean, now I mean, the MBA, how they have the how it's likes.
Lady tanking is not even incentivized anymore.
You can tank and it doesn't It doesn't matter, Right? So we'll see.
Yeah, you know it was available.
Um they're they're just gonna take best player available and and figure outfit later.
I've seen a mock draft today.
They had the Timberwolves drafting Lamell.
Oh, the warrior drafting Denny and Anthony Edwards falls to the Hornets.
They drafted him at three.
Wouldn't be a bad fit.
Yeah, I mean, they just have every combo shooting point guards or shooting guard in the league That's under 25.
That's I mean, I guess.
What? I'm a league ******s.
Well, Dwayne Bacon.
Just add another one there, there.
Trade candidate as well, I think because of how many needs they have, especially if low Melo falls.
I think there are a great candidate.
If Lamela's there three for the Knicks to trade up, get him.
Maybe they said Mitchell Robinson, because the Hornets don't have any center.
Uh, Malik Monk take take that contract because I don't think he's getting extension.
Their fallback gets, um, young pieces and get somebody like Halliburton or vascular coral.
One of these guys we've been talking about that would make sense of thing for both sides.
I think another guy even probably even targeted and for agency is a hero.
I think they like here a lot.
I don't think that I don't think that the Clippers I know they want to resign him, but he's probably gonna cost you between 15 and $17 million a year.
I don't know if they can afford that.
I want to afford that.
So I think he leaves.
I think a team like the horn don't just throw a bunch of money at him because they need a center.
We did that with Bismack Biyombo, and that didn't work out so well.
Yeah, it did not believe they're smarter about who they throw that money at.
Yeah, I mean, for me, for business, man.
I mean, he had a eight or nine game playoff running.
He earned him a lot of money.
Oh, man, I wish I could do that much.
He played well at the right time, and he and he got paid.
Um, but but last thing I want to do is get back to college basketball.
You know, the top 25 rankings around people are making the wrong records as well.
But, I mean, who are some sleeper team? They might may or may not be in the top 25.
That you think that can go to a Final Four? So I think Gonzaga.
I know Gonzaga is not a sleeper king, but I think there are a lot to get there.
I picked them No one else championship.
I think they lose one game this year at most.
Like I I think they're that good.
Illinois is a necessary sleeper, but they have.
They have a good chance to get there, there, on the fringe of being a Final Four contender, I would assume on Kofi Coburn both returned from testing.
MBA Rockfall there gives them one of the best duos in the country.
Yeah, there's, Ah, lot of teams.
So there's the three teams at the top, a career tear where it's Baylor, Virginia, Villanova when and then we're sorry.
Whom whom I'm forgetting.
Yeah, American brands.
I was gonna championship Baylor, Gonzaga, Villanova and then Virginia's.
Maybe a step lower.
And number four.
There was a bunch of teams in that 5 to 13 range.
Tennessee is probably gonna be in that range, and not a lot of people think about Tennessee as a Final Four contender, since they were gonna miss determined last year.
But there there it seemed tomorrow.
Look into I really, really like They return four starters from last year's seen.
If I'm not mistaken, bring in, uh, top 10 recruiting class to five star guards led by Jaden Springer that are going to be pond transfer.
Victor Bailey, Transfer Ponds is gonna be one of the best offensive players in the country.
Oh, yeah? And then after that group of 13 you look at maybe 20 teams that go out to the top 25 that you could all **** in there any given way and defend your and defend your reasoning for having them.
They're adequately so I like I like Illinois is a lot like you said, You have to probably already had the best hand.
Um, you know, in the country, the shooting concern you, they do have a 4 May.
I don't know if you don't think is a five star card, he's like, 30 in the country's.
He's probably a high four star Adam Miller.
He really can shoot it, but the shooting scare you at all with them.
Yes, that that would be the only thing because there are a big team, a talented team, athletic team with plenty of slashers, the defensively to the way they play.
A pressing style gives teams, gives teams problems.
It's making sure those guys offensively have enough room to operate.
You create that space, will shoot it, and they're gonna be a better shooting team than they were last year.
I think if Alan Griffin had stayed instead of transferring toe Syracuse, I wouldn't have the same concerns.
I would feel better about it.
E and I again I think, will be better than last year.
But it certainly won't be a strength right for sure.
Next team questions on I don't know who said this, but John Rothstein, he tweeted out.
He said that several Big 12 he wants.
I guess coaches or staff members think that Texas arguably has the most talented team in the big 12.
If one I have a, there's a bunch of questions here.
I want to know who is we? Who is we, who is several that that that is number one? Who is We are several e don't know who said that.
If you're Shaka Smart, you have tow hope that doesn't become the trend because let's be honest, he hasn't played well.
Um, he's severely on the Husky.
And I think that if that becomes the narrative, that this is potentially the most talented team, the 12 and they finished fifth in the conference, losing the first or second round, he has to be gone, right? Yes.
Well, this is a multipart answer.
First off, they're not the most talented of the big 12.
Okay, I'm glad you agree at best, their third behind Baylor in Kansas.
And you know, e.
I think you could make a legitimate case of West Virginia and Texas Tech above them, But they are a team that brings back everybody from last year's rotation.
Bring in Greg Brown.
Top 10 Top 15 were all recruit.
Yeah, they have like they have talent on paper.
On paper, they look good.
Maybe not as good as the as Baylor and Kansas.
And maybe it's good Virginia Texas Tech.
But they look good individual pieces.
What? But it's This is not the first time Shaka Smart has had a team that looks good on paper.
Yet that has underperformed.
And that's the That's the concern because he hasn't won a tournament game in Texas.
I think he's four games over 500 for his tenure at Texas.
It hasn't been good despite having guys like Jared Allen Obama no players you should win with.
I think the pandemic helps coaches in his position because they may not have the money or able to rationalize spending the money to pay for a buyout.
Yeah, yeah, that's true.
If it's bad enough, they will on the school like Texas confined, a donor can find some donors to do that, depending on how the rest of Texas football season goes, that money might go towards something else, maybe about Pirmin.
But if he makes the anti tournament, if he does something that's not a total train wreck and is at least possible for what his 10 year has been, I could see him getting another year and Texas thinking it will bite the bullet again for another year.
Then, if he doesn't perform, what will wipe the slate clean then? Because, ah, lot of these coaches were on hot seat him on Boston, which in Christian Boston College specifically said they would have fired Christian but kept him because they wanted stability through the covert Pam and you know that's not ending anytime soon, Unfortunately, so it wouldn't be surprised.
Wouldn't be surprised if unless things are a total train wreck or they missed the tournament and they can't bring themselves to say we can give him another year, All right? Everything's gonna go in his favor for for getting him back for for another season.
Whether or not he should or not from a performance standpoint, might be irrelevant.
I mean, like, yeah, they bring back 100% of the scoring.
They look good on paper, but, I mean, Mac home and he's a this Courtney Ramey kind of came off for them.
Lay Andrew Jones.
He's a great story.
I'm glad he came back from no, from the illness that he had.
Jericho Sims played well.
He was inconsistent when he played well.
I mean, you said they have the number eight recruit and Greg Brown They have.
You know, Roy's ham, who hasn't played well, but he saw that come off the bench.
You have Chi Jones.
You have Ferb guys like that coming off the bench.
They have talent, but I think shockers issue is you know, he thrived at visa you because he was able to recruit those dogs.
You know tough minded defensive players and you know you know how it is when you get a five star recruit that usually pampered and you know, you're you're the best kid in the world, You know, since they've been 12.
A lot of them don't like to play that way.
Some of them do. But a lot of them don't.
Even you bring in a coach like suppressed.
It likes to get physical and tough.
You know, you're probably gonna find those 23 star recruit those kids that were, you know, under recruited.
They had played with a chip on your shoulder.
When you're getting four or five star guards every year at Texas, the expectation is different.
But they're gonna They don't play that we don't think how you want them to think.
They don't play how you've been accustomed to.
So I think that might be like a issue that he's had over the last couple of years.
Their offense is really disjointed as well. Yeah, on.
That's, uh I I think there bigger issue when they get in some of these close games they have.
They have a lot of athletes on the roster, so to me, it makes sense to run more than they did.
Especially the success shock ahead of VCU playing that have existed.
And I know he didn't want to bring that have existed over, and you don't have to.
But pushing Bond transition a little bit more for that, especially with the athletic bigs they have.
You get Chi Jones and especially Brown running in transition.
That's a problem.
That's a problem for other teams.
There hasn't been that they do a lot of simple set one or two action.
Everybody everybody stand and that that's not conducive to an efficient offense are scoring at a consistent clip.
Thio, if you haven't experienced but also like to do now, should be ableto handle Cem or advanced things.
But again, that that falls back on Shaka.
Yeah, and they always seem to have, like, a stinker earlier in the year that they'll be Michigan State lose to Radford.
They'll be, you know, a school like that and lose the you know who I'm like.
As soon as you start, Texas might be good.
That your names I'm like, Okay, well there.
About what? You know. They're about what you think.
What do you think they are? There's the mid December.
Oh, maybe this is the year shock that finally puts it all together.
They have some good wins. They look really good.
And within a week there's that.
There's that rat for lost mentioned, and it's well, no in Texas.
Yeah, not for sure are there in the Oh, the other thing I was talking about was Kansas.
You know, Kansas, Kansas, there.
I mean, the good.
Every year I think the big 12 might be It could be the best. Basketball comes.
I'm not sure, but I think it will definitely be within the top two.
I think like it usually is every year but Kansas.
I mean, I think the police finished second in the Big 12 but they have. They have a good team.
You bring back Marcus gear, you bring back a biology, you know, you have some of your young guys that something got hurt last year.
But with them losing as a bookie, they're stepping into McCor****.
He doesn't scare me like as a bookie done as a bookie when he had a presence like defensively and offensively you have.
You know, he just had a presence.
McCormack doesn't really scare me like that, but they do have good guard play.
What is your, you know, expectations for a team like Kansas.
So McCor**** is not the shot blocker re protector that out.
Okay, is it Waas? And he's not going to be? And that's not because he's not a sufficient one.
It's that also, Bouquet was a great one, so you do a little bit there.
But McCor**** Is Justus good as as a bookie was offensively, if not maybe a little bit more polished with this posting.
It doesn't have the same Cath Radius.
He's not the same kind of lob threat, but actually did an article for he checks cbb dot com that dug into McCormack and why? I think he can be a more than viable replacement for us Bouquet and be their next great big men, and we'll have a great big men they've had under Under Bill Self.
His per 40 minute offensive stats and rebounding stats were about the same as those bouquets were last year, and that's even with him spending a good portion of his time with us bookie on the court.
We had a little bit more crowded interior to deal with.
Bill Self has said this year that they're going to play for perimeter players with one guy in the middle.
He's that guy in the middle, so he's gonna have more room to operate.
Not I don't think Kansas loses as much down there as some people might think they will.
They will defensively.
But offensively, McCormack still gonna be that guy.
The interesting part to me is you wanna be seeing Marcus Garrett go now to point guard and play hard, full time.
We know what he could do defensively.
He's still gonna be one of the top five top three.
That's defensive players in the country, Okay? He had the fourth highest assist rate in the Big 12 last year, despite being canvas is secondary ball handler and Devin Devin Dotson had the ball in his hands all the time, so it's not like Garrett had a ton of opportunities to make plays for others, and he still did so at a high clip.
So I I think he's capable of being a star at that position.
The question is what can he give you from a scoring standpoint? Because his shot is still not there.
Um, and will his defense fall off if he's given a bigger offensive role to me? I mean, we owe to me to me.
That's that's gonna be the key, because I think that body gives you a body, gives you he'll give you flashes of earlier, and he'll fade away at times.
Bryce Thompson is gonna be a lot of fun to watch as well.
But Kansas is at their best when they have a elite point guard, and Garrett Garrett can be that.
But he hasn't had to be so again.
It's It's not a question whether he can.
It's just whether he will.
Yeah, I mean, like you said over the family have Vontae grand frame nation Tasha until they've had these.
Even Sharon Copy.
They've had these great, you know, history of guards who have been there 3 to 4 years every year.
I wonder if he does.
I mean, Gary, he does a lot of things.
Well, I think he makes a lot of winning plays, I think.
But, you know, thing is, is when they can.
He could be that guy where you know, it's crunch time.
Can he can give you 20.
Can you get 20? Plus? Can he do that? Um I mean, they're gonna probably rely on, you know, tying grandfather that yuko transfer.
I think they like him a lot.
He's really He's super Super counties.
Big to like, +67 I think he's gonna be fun. You know, Bryce Thompson.
He's gonna be that super fresh in that they usually always have.
But I think I don't know what it is about him.
But Tristan in the Rhona.
He I think he's really good.
I think he pops this year for them because I watched him play last.
He didn't play a lot, but he has flashes for you.
He could be a pro.
If he kind of gets it together, he could be a pro.
The potential is there from a system standpoint, in science standpoint, um, e thinking from from a skill standpoint, exactly.
It's just having enough of a role to show he can put it on.
And maybe he is at a point in his development where he can put it all together yet, but I think this year a role may hold him back Mawr than skills will.
I mean, I think off the bench, you know, you even have, like, Jalen Wilson the guy. He got her last.
He's another high, super high recruit.
I think he probably his talents.
He kind of looked kind of lost last year.
He got, you know, that's why I think he played too much before he got hurt.
But, you know, they had the both of you to pretty much city.
You know, I think how deep is this team? You know, you have Christian Braun.
He gave them good minutes last year.
You have missed life, but I feel like he's been there for a decade.
But they How deep are they? Yeah, I feel like he's just been there so long.
I just I'm like, goodness like it's like, when when is he gonna leave? You know it is, but I just I feel like Della wasn't interesting that they're gonna have to play.
They're gonna play minutes because I don't know, especially those wing those Twitter positions.
You know, McCormack gets in foul trouble.
Who? Who else is, you know, going to come in there and play.
They have big guards, and big wings are sure they could play for perimeter players.
But I still think they're probably gonna get minutes.
Yeah, DeSouza transferring hurt that standpoint particularly because now, now Lightfoot, your backup center, and you can get by with that instructions.
But if McCor****'s in foul trouble or gets hurt, then that becomes a problem.
If everybody is healthy, I think they could go with a pretty solid eight man rotation, and that should be enough.
But you're counting on some of those guys like Wilson and Andorra to butchered that.
But you're counting on your you're counting on those guys to show a little bit more.
Not be stars yet, but show a little bit mawr and and be consistent at least defensively.
Whether that happens or not remains to be seen.
I think by the end of the season is gonna be pretty neck and neck between them and Baylor in terms of better team is, but Baylor has less question marks can have on a talent.
But talking through this, it's it's just the question marks that will determine whether they're Kansas or whether they're, you know, sweet 16 team at best.
I mean, yeah, talking of Baylor.
You know, I was just going through the rocks, you know, pretty much everyone came back.
They have a good recruiting LJ cry.
He's a Houston kid.
I'm just looking around.
I was like, I was like, you know, I think they small like, No, they're not small.
Like I'm like, they can They can they shoot? Yeah, they could shoot.
They have ball garden or yeah, they could do that too.
They're well coached.
Yeah, they're well coached.
I'm like, I'm not really seeing too many issues.
And, you know, they got my God.
Mayor comes off the bench.
That guy hasn't seen a shot.
He doesn't like that.
That's where every time he comes in, you're gonna get 3 to 4.
Just crazy shots.
And I love the kid.
I mean, he just he just brings some type of weird energy when he just comes up before he just shoots everything.
So I like him, but they have a good team, but they dio mayors that that bench gunner, that has only I'm going to put up shots, that he will do it, but yeah, there's a reason there's a reason they're in the top three in the country with Gonzaga and Villanova.
All of those teams that only have high end talent have national championship ceilings but don't really have any holes.
All right, the question for Baylor is if they can sustain it, because we saw them sustain it for about a month and a half last year and then faltered on the steps once they got into the Kansas is.
And um um, I think they lost toe. Texas, Texas.
Welcome that mistake.
West, West, West Virginia.
What? Virginia? They got into a stretch where they think they were two and three in the last five games before the season ended.
Is that sort of stretch gonna hit them at some point this year? That's the only question I have.
Because on paper and what they approved on the court last year, there are high ceiling team with no glaring weaknesses.
Yeah, you know for sure.
E Think the last Wanna talk Thio.
He was about, you know, the three seems they're gonna probably start three e don't know.
North Carolina do, but they have a They have some guys that are coming back, but you know Kentucky, Kentucky and Kentucky.
You know, they always they're always gonna start a bunch of freshman.
But Duca's, well, you know, do they're probably gonna start with four freshmen.
So it's Kentucky because they everyone left.
How do you think this and Em**** will affect, You know, freshman? Because, like I know do.
They're probably gonna start Jeremy Roach, Jaylin Johnson and Mark Williams and, um, Kentucky.
They're gonna start four freshmen ask you e j.
Boston Terrence clock and probably Isaiah Jackson at the fire.
How do you think that affects freshman? I think two things, I think, for MBA evaluators, NBA scouts, they're gonna be able to tell pretty quickly, like who really cares? And who doesn't was able to keep themselves in shape and improve their game throughout this period where there hasn't been a ton of organized team things that they essentially have to dio who did that extra stuff on their own to improve their game, to stay in shape, we're going to see the early and, you know, inexact science, eh? NBA scouts to find that sort of X factor extra drive to be a great basketball player.
This is going to give them as much of a indication, is who that is, as you're going to get in any season.
So I think that's number one and the key to look for, even for fans, Lucky and Duke and you and see that are going to play a lot of freshman.
They're going to be so much better at the end of the year than they are early on because they have had the off season time to really work and play together.
Yeah, and the structure is cool, right? Exactly.
It's gonna take them some time to establish their role.
It already takes way.
See this for Kentucky.
They peak and start hitting their stride in January February because it takes them time to establish their roles.
Work well together.
Um, learn the system you add on your maybe another month or so to that, because of the off season and their ability to do that before the season actually started.
We're going to see these things get off to a slow start, I think, and you may see really experienced teams like like Texas, who brings everybody back like like in Iowa, like Gonzaga, Villanova, Baylor, like Virginia, be those teams that are really great early because they have that continuity.
Yeah, And then I think the last I wanna talk to you about this North Carolina, You know, North Carolina Last year they did not have a good season by any stretch of imagination, but it's so fascinating to me about them.
Last year was we've never seen North Carolina have toe rely on grad transfers to be, especially at their wing position.
That kid is usually a five star recruit usually.
Well, this year they got a few of them, You know, they're gonna go the point guard.
They're definitely gonna start a Caleb love.
He's gonna start there for a year and a half.
A couple of guys coming off the bench.
But what are your expectations for this? Because even now I'm looking after, like, you know, the projected starting five got Garrison Brooks, who played very well from last year.
Amanda, Like Kati, he showed moments leaky black, who I think is pretty good.
I think he just needs to Baltimore Anthony Harris and the freshman Caleb Love.
What do you think about North Carolina? I mean, they're gonna have a better team, but I don't think they could get any worse than they were last year, but I don't know if I love this team.
I don't love them either.
I think they're They're top 25.
Good, but they're not top 15.
Like I'm seeing them in the preseason.
I think Caleb Love is going to be a superstar.
I think we talked about Scotty Barnes having the potential when a C C player of the year, as long as they see freshman year.
Caleb Love has that potential as well.
Yeah, U N c big you mentioned Brooks and Bacon coming back from them down low.
They also add to five star centers there on Sharp Walker Kessler.
They're gonna be really great download as well.
Having excellent point guard.
The problem for them is going to be on the wings and then backcourt depth.
They still they still don't have that.
That was a big thing that killed that last year, and they still don't have that.
I think love may be a better fit for what they have than Anthony.
And now love's gonna have better pieces around him as well.
And they're gonna have ah, really dominant front line that could see them play two, maybe three bigs on the court at a time.
But you're not going to be a A C C title threat with the wings and the backcourt that that they have.
All right? Yeah, because I think I mean, like you said, you know, historically, you think about other teams are going to national championship.
In one of them, you have Justin Jackson, you have Isaiah.
I remember his last name.
But you have him you had.
Even if you didn't have a good wing, you had two really good scoring guards that could, you know, carry the load in.
My point is, you know, I don't leaky black.
I watched him coming out of high school.
I think he's towns.
He's versatile, but I don't know if he's a guy.
I could give you 14 15 points a game. He's more versatile.
He's more of a kind of a point forward, I guess, per se.
So my fingers, you know, is 2020.
You know, you're gonna have to be able to shooting score points.
You know, if you're you know, you can't shooting score a point where you need to be is gonna be tough.
Especially the good conference.
You have good defensive team about you ve a We know how you get down there So tough defensively is gonna be hard for you toe to score.
And especially when you have key Clark, who's a nightmare defensively is gonna harass capable of a lot.
And the last time a couple years ago when you and see one the A C C title.
Their wings were Cam John who's in the NBA this year? Little who's in the in the NBA.
He played exactly, but he was a long athlete.
Um, before that, it was Harrison Barnes.
It's in the NBA, You know that It was it was these n b a guys.
And now you're going to players who wouldn't start for the top tier.
The other top three SEC teams? Nope.
What is? I mean, the according to for seven they have the second best recruiting cloud.
Give me you got was 35 stars, you know, But what is E? I mean, I guess I can't even say is their recruiting gone down? But I guess from a wing standpoint, the last couple of years.
What is? Why aren't they getting? These are our wings.
It hasn't gone down.
I obviously Roy Williams loves playing multiple bigs and gets the most makes and develops, then sends them to the MBA.
So for the five star big men, like sharpened Kessler, there's an easy pitch there.
Wiese's well with how we developed Kendall Marshall lost in, uh, Kobe White Anthony makes sense for a guy like he'll love as well.
You know, they've had some good ones, but many consistent.
If you're a top guy, they're going.
Those guys, they're going up against Kentucky.
Who all Cal does is put elite wings in the MBA going up against Duke, who all coach K has done recently has put elite wings in the MBA.
There just hasn't been that track record he had a chance to win this year.
Little and some of it was on him.
Some of it was on this here.
Little as a player didn't work out as well.
Um, they were able to patch it together previously by landing Cam Johnson from pit and then landing little.
They didn't have a good plan to follow those guys up so quickly.
You know, they have decent guys, but not again, not guys.
You can win an A C C title with, and those guys will come eventually through through the recruiting trail.
But it's just not there right now.
Yeah, I think that when there's very little decided to leave because I thought, I mean, it made sense for him leave.
But I thought that he should have stayed.
I thought that would have helped the development.
You know, a lot of money is in the NBA, so I mean, I guess What do I know? But e thought that, you know, if him staying, that would have been a significant.
You know, that things would have been different last year.
They have been significantly different.
If you have this, really, I would assume he would have gotten better, but, you know.
This is probably the last thing I was like I said, I got this came this weekend, but this pandemic, you know, a lot of schools and not being able to travel.
A lot of, you know, recruit the way they have been.
There were some kids.
They're they're severely, severely under recruited.
There's a guard.
His name is Taylor Powell.
He from the L. A area.
He's going to Seton Hall.
I don't know if he's N b a good.
I'll tell you, he's gonna be college about.
He's gonna be very, very good in college.
He's on what I find shocking this no schools in California offered him, counting off from you see Lady and offered us eating off from I was like I'm watching him.
He's killing five star guard like he's scoring at will.
They can't they can't guard them into another guard.
He's from tennis season Was Brandon Miller.
According to ESPN, he's ranked fifth in the junior class to 1st, 7th ranked 11th.
I'm watching this kid.
I'm like he just popped.
I'm just looking at what he has to be. A 57 girl.
Look him up. Typical.
He has no Big 12 offers.
He only has one a C.
C offer, which is Louisville.
Four SEC offers Auburn old Miss Vanderbilt, which is close to where he lives.
And I think it was Arkansas.
I'm like this kid.
I said three years now he's gonna be a pro, and I see has no Big 12 offers.
No big, really big schools offering.
How do you think this affects recruiting? You are going to focus more on keeping the guys that you had a strong relationship with beforehand.
Because you're not able to have the in person visits to really go CIA's many games and make your presence known, You're not able to established a solid new relationship, right? Yeah.
No, it's gonna have to happen.
But you have a better chance of keeping the guy you started recruiting when he was a freshman or sop****re? Yeah.
Who? You know, his mom.
He had dinner with them a couple times.
You love them, get a better chance to keep in that guy.
Then you do somebody who you've only talked to overdo.
It was never seen who has never seen you practice You've never really seen in the game.
Outside of watching a computer screen, you got a better chance of keeping those guys.
And so I think we're seeing these recruiting boards stay smaller.
I think what happens is this is gonna be a tremendous upgrade from mid majors or schools that were in power files.
Like like a pit.
For example, this kid was super under recruited.
We gave you a scholarship, come this way.
And now it's like, Oh, wise pit so good all of a sudden, I think you know that is gonna significantly helped.
I know Missouri Missouri had a point guard there and I got to see it come.
The other recruits, I think Missouri And 33 years, two years.
They're gonna be really, really good.
It's gonna be because of this this pandemic.
They have this kid, Antoine Brooks shot.
He can shoot the hell out the ball.
He's really good.
Have another kid in jail in Brazil.
Super Athletic Wing.
He probably could be a pro.
He gains gains a few more pounds, but I think this is gonna significantly help those middle of the pack teams.
You're gonna start seeing them jump to the top in two years just because of the recruiting trail.
It would be fun to see.
And, you know, with everybody getting essentially next year of eligibility that will.
That will play a role here.
