This is SportsCastr News Today Morning Edition Going over the Monday Night football game between the Bears and the Rams.
This was a fun game toe watch, and the final score is not anywhere near indicative off what actually happened during this game.
It was, actually, it could have been a lot closer than what it waas.
The only difference is the Bears.
They drove the field quite.
Nick Foles did an impressive job getting the Bears down the field into the red zone multiple times.
One time in the red zone, inside the 10 yard line, he throws a bad pass, uh, to the back corner of the end zone, which then a tip drill happens.
Great tip drill by the Rams secondary, ending up with an interception.
And then they went down and drove the length of the field, the 80 yards and scored.
That was a 14 point swing.
They also made it inside.
I think around the seven yard line, I believe it was first and goal from the seven.
Uh, Nick Foles had them there and they went for it on fourth down.
Turnover of downs on a goal to go situation.
That's not what the Bears need.
I mean, just flat out the running game was not very effective in this game.
Montgomery did not do a good job.
The Bears did not run block.
Well, like I've said there up and down all season.
Fools, however, did a very decent job.
Um, his second interception was late in the fourth quarter, three minutes left in the game.
He was trying to throw downfield because, as you could see, they were down 14.
They needed to scores and he just he pushed the ball.
There was an interception, ended the drive.
That's what happened.
So Fools had zero touchdowns in two interceptions, but he was 28 of 40 for 261 yards.
One of those interceptions was like I said, due to just tryingto press the field as much as he can to try toe come back.
And the other one was just a great tip drill, which really flipped the score.
There was a few penalties in this game against the Bears.
There was even a penalty against the Rams.
If I remember right lined up in the neutral zone offense, I haven't seen that in so long.
How does the offensive lineman line up in a neutral zone? That's unbelievable.
The Bears defense was swarming all over Jared golf.
They only got the one sacked by Khalil Mack, which ended up being a strip sack, and they were able to recover their own.
The Rams recovered their own fumble, but they were got so many pressures and the hits on Jared Goff made his day awful.
Golf for the night was 22 or 23 of 33 for 219 yards and two touchdowns.
But that's not the story.
The story is that the Bears were on this field and it was from beginning the end.
They could not stop the run.
They could not stop whatever the Rams decided to run the football.
Darryl Henderson had 15 carries for 60 yards.
That's 4.3 a clip.
Malcolm Brown, 10 carries, 50 set, 5.
7 yards a carry.
What, and now let's talk about your little sweeps and end around your wide receiver.
You know, reverses and sweeps and end around that they had between Robert Woods and Cooper Cup.
Together, they had five carries for 39 yards.
It's almost eight yards a carry on that.
The one from Cooper Cup went 16 yards.
They ran the ball down the bare throat, ac***ulating 150 yards on the ground.
Unbelievable how well they were running the ball against the Bears.
And it's not like they had 150 yards.
And they only carried the ball what, 20 times? No.
Okay, they carried it 30 times.
Sorry, they carried the football 30 times for 150 yards.
But as a team, that's impressive.
That that's impressive.
That's still Ah, good chunk.
30 times 150 yards.
That's five yards a carry as a team.
That's unheard of in the NFL, especially against the Bears defense.
That swarms as well as they swarm.
But like I said yesterday, I thought that this exactly how it was going to go.
I thought that the Bears weren't gonna move the football very well, but they did.
They just could not close in the red zone.
The Bears defense was on the field.
They were tired and they fought and they fought and they fought to keep them in the game.
They early even the ones that scored the touchdown on a forced fumble, which was picked up in return for a touchdown.
Nick fools and this Bears offense just was not able to move the ball as well on the ground, which meant the Rams could really focus against the past.
Now Bulls had a couple of nice passes deep, 12 Coal commit beautiful catch by coal, commit deep pass.
He jumped over, reached over the receiver and brought the football and turned around, ran down the field.
And then, of course, Allen Robinson had his weekly unbelievable catch downfield as well.
So that's that's what you're getting now this Bears team.
But fools folded in the red zone that that's the story of this game now.
I actually called this game 13 23 to 13.
This game ended up 24 to 10.
I'd say that's a pretty close, and I could pat myself on the back for calling a good, good final score of this game.
I said it was not going to hit the over.
I knew it wouldn't.
I knew it wouldn't now that being said with this game album out of the you know rear view mirror.
Let's look ahead the Week eight and the injuries that happened this week because there were multiple notable injuries from Thursdays to Sundays.
Toe Monday Night Football and their injuries that we need to look at in preparation for the games coming up this week, for instance, the Washington football team.
Safety Landon Collins.
Achilles tear done for the season, right? Montas sweat The defense event for Washington.
Had a concussion, so you don't know how long he could be out of week.
Two weeks, three weeks.
Who knows? The Titans quarterback Christian Fulton had a knee injury.
He's weak, too weak right now.
And the Cowboys quarterback Andy Dalton, with a vicious blow on a vicious blow, suffered a concussion.
He also could be out a week or two, maybe even three, depending upon how the concussion protocol goes for him.
Um, Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.
A C L tear done for the season.
Now, if you're a Brown fan, you look at that and go man, that's a lot of wasted, uh, talent.
It's not gonna be there.
It's a big loss of talent for the for the offense.
But really think about it.
The Browns have been better without Ogle this year when he was not on the field.
When he's not part of the team, it seems like Baker Mayfield place better.
Just something to think about.
Bingle center Trey Hopkins.
Also a lot of concussions.
By the way this past week, the thinner got a concussion.
He could be out a week or two.
The left tackle Jonah Williams had a neck injury.
Is probably going to miss this upcoming game.
And then the swing tackle Bobby Hart has a knee injury and he's weak, the weak.
So the Biggles, who are already bad at the offensive line, has three offensive linemen that they'll probably be without for this coming week's game.
Defensive end for the Jets.
He had an ankle injury.
He's out for the season.
Wide receiver Breshad Perriman again.
Another concussion probably won't make it this next coming game.
Panthers left tackle Russell A.
**** has a calf injury.
He's day to day, but it's starting.
Availability for the next game is in question as well.
Texans cornerback Bradley Roby has a knee injury.
There's not much known about it. The Emory.
We haven't gotten information on that in our memory.
But the good thing is, is weak.
A is the Texans.
So, you know, uh, that gives him an extra week of rest in hopes that he might be able to play as long as it's not an M c l p C l or a C l injury.
Uh, speaking of a C l's JAG wires wide receiver Dede Westbrook Tour Hiss.
He's out for the season as well.
Uh, couple concussions.
We might want to talk about wide receiver, wide receiver to kill Harry for the Patriots.
He did suffer a concussion.
Hopefully, he'll be able to get back because we all know that the Patriots wide receiver group is not the most impressive, and they could use every able body they can.
And then, of course, Broncos running back Phillip Lindsay also suffered a concussion and may not make it.
They're already down some big names at running back.
Speaking of running backs.
Speaking of running backs, 40 Niners. Jeff Wilson.
You know, the guy that come in because of the running back issues they've already had? Yeah, he has a high ankle sprain and they dropped him on IR.
So he's gone a minimum of three weeks while we're on the Niners.
Deebo Samuel has a hamstring injury and he won't play for the next two weeks and then the Cardinals.
Kenyan Drake also has an ankle injury, and he's out for 2 to 4 weeks.
Linebacker for the Cardinals Isaiah Irving, sadly, suffered a back injury.
He's out for the season.
That is just sad cornerbacks to kill Griffin.
He suffered a concussion.
Well, I'll tell you what, that's not good, because let's just face it.
The Seahawks defense has not looked good, and they really, really didn't look good against the passing game against the Cardinals right now.
If Shaquille Griffin is out for an extended period of time with the concussion, that could mean some big changes.
And who knows? Speaking of running backs and injuries, the Seahawks are loaded with them.
In one game, Chris Carson suffered a mid foot injury try.
This homer suffered a knee injury and Carlos Hyde suffered a hamstring injury, and all three of them might not be able to make it for this upcoming Week eight matchup.
Those right there, those are my things that I wanted to say about the injuries that happened this past week.
Notable injuries going either into the season or just flat out for this upcoming week.
