Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah! Hello, everyone.
And welcome into the Smith Inside All Show the first live stream of the Smith and Sidle show.
I'm gonna be flying solo for you tonight, but it's great to have you here is we go over what happened with the Buckeyes and the Browns this past weekend, and we'll start off down in Columbus, Ohio, where the Ohio State Buckeyes Ah, big statement victory against the Nebraska Cornhuskers, 52 to 17 in a game where a lot of people thought it might be a bit of a tramp game for the Buckeyes.
And it certainly looked that way through the first quarter with Ohio State only able to score two touchdowns to get a 14 to 7 lead.
And then in the second half, it really came out 28 Thio three in the second half, two touchdowns in the third quarter, two touchdowns in the fourth corner, and Justin Fields looked just fantastic.
21 of 20 of 21 276 yards and two touchdowns on the evening.
They're a part of me on the afternoon and his only drop there is only in completion was on a drop in the end zone on a little bit of a harder play, but really credit where credit is due to Justin Field to just looked phenomenal in that week.
And then, of course, the great great touchdown grab my Jackson, Smith and Gigaba.
You somehow able to defy physics and get that foot or get his foot just inbounds for the Ohio State touchdown.
Now something I would like to see.
I wouldn't like to see Mawr really put your foot down Buckeyes and get out to that getting a big lead early, especially this weekend against Penn State, who lost Thio Indiana, Indiana Looking like a team that could be a dark horse in the Big 10.
But the Nittany Lions always come to play when the Buckeyes are in town.
We'll have to see exactly what happens there, but I'm expecting to see a well fought game on both sides.
Before I go any further, I'd like to invite you to follow us on Twitter at Smith and sidle along with Join our Discord server.
We do have a podcast, uh, Smith entitle show available right here on SportsCastrs well as many other platforms, including Spotify, Apple Podcast, Google Podcast, etcetera.
New episodes go live every Wednesday at 6 a.m.
Thinking about joining or making it twice a week, breaking up college football and pro football.
But we are really excited and what we're doing here, and we're really excited to start using sports cancer a little bit more for live streaming.
Now let's just break this down a little bit.
Nebraska actually was able to strike first and a drive where the Ohio State defense looked like Swiss cheese four plays in 75 yards before Adrian Martinez able to scramble in for the score.
But then the Buckeyes kind of started turning it on Master T go one yard touchdown run and Garrett Wilson getting the 42 yard completion, and that would end the first quarter scoring.
Then Derek Mills gets the Cornhuskers back on the board before Blake Ha Veal puts up a 34 yard field goal and Master Teague will get his second rushing touchdown on the afternoon with just a minute 10 remaining.
And that'll take us the halftime and a lot of Buckeye fans thinking, Oh, no, maybe Ryan Day system having a little bit of issues, but he really just calmed down everything from then on, as Nebraska was only ableto get one score in the second half, whereas Justin Fields would run for a 17 yard touchdown, 17 70.
Part of me, a 55 yard scooping score for the Buckeyes.
And then that's when the field goal from Connor Cope comes into play a 22 yard field goal on a 72 yard drive.
Then, of course, the amazing catch by Smith and Gigaba and then Jack Miller, a two yard run for the freshman quarterback able to put it in.
And then, of course, in his post game press conference, Ryan Day, saying he apologized to Scott for us and that he would text Scott Frost and offer him a personal apology for not kneeling out the clock, stating that he did not have the personnel.
But really, you can't draw up much of a better win to start off Big 10 players start off Ohio State play in general as the Buckeyes able to get the big win against the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
We'll go ahead now and take a look at next week's game where they will face the Penn State Nittany Lions, who have fallen to 18 after their loss at Indiana, and ESPN and the FBI, giving the Buckeyes a 79% chance of victory.
But as I've said before, these night games over at Penn State have been a big issue for the Buckeyes.
In the past, they've gotten down and they have been able to come back, and some they haven't been able to come back, although with a limited seating, you would think in State College, that could factor into it.
Usually, the White out game is against Ohio State when they come to town, but none of that this year.
It's not gonna be the same Penn State atmosphere that everyone is used to, although Penn State, coming off that 36 to 35 heartbreaker against Indiana, where their quarterback able get three touchdowns but had two interceptions.
Not what you want to see, especially when Clifford, the quarterback, ran for 119.
Sean Clifford, the Cincinnati Ohio native, and you have to imagine he is looking for some revenge for his home state Buckeyes.
In this game, the big story line is gonna be can Justin Fields keep it up? He had a great passing performance in week one.
Can he follow that up here in week? Number two on the other side is gonna be the Buckeyes defense.
They fell flat a little bit to start the game, unable to turn around and really just get things going again.
Also a thanks Thio Devils Adam for joining the broadcast and sending the foam finger Great to have your support.
This is gonna be a big game in the Big 10 East Ohio State sitting at number three in the rankings than the AP rankings, of course.
So throw that all out the window in a few weeks.
But Penn State could be the biggest game until the final.
Until the final game against that team up north who had themselves a really convincing victory against the Minnesota Golden Gophers, I can find it.
I had it pulled up, but I have seen to have lost 49 to 24 against the number 21 ranked golfers.
Michigan jumps up five spots to number 13.
They'll play Michigan State this week who lost to Rutgers in a lot of people, not really expecting that Rutgers usually the bottom rung of the Big 10 ladder.
But Michigan State did not look good.
That game will be a noon on Fox, but Michigan could be a contender.
They've got the schedule.
They've got Michigan State.
Indiana is gonna be a tough game for them.
You could imagine, but then Wisconsin, Rutgers, Penn State, Maryland before they meet the Buckeyes and the winner, I would imagine the winner of that game is gonna go on to the Big 10 title game in Indianapolis.
So a big game for the maize and blue as we hype up the matchup.
That is to be Ryan Day.
Jim Harbaugh all just who is going to go where? Let's break down their matchup against the Golden Gophers just a little bit more as a solid performance from Joe Milton, the Wolverine quarterback, 15 of 20 to 255 yards, only through for one touchdown but running back passing Haskins.
I probably just murdered that name.
I apologize, but he would get 82 yards on six carries and two touchdowns in the 49 to 24 rounds in Minnesota, and a lot of scoring early in this one eight scores in the first two quarters, five of them touchdowns by the Wolverines, two touchdowns from Minnesota and a field goal.
And they just really looked outmatched.
Minnesota turn the ball over twice.
They did have the edge in first downs about Michigan 478 total yards of offense in a game where Minnesota was part of.
Minnesota had most of the possession on 10 minute difference in possession to the Golden Gophers but able to get it done.
So a big matchup for them, I said, coming up next week as they'll face the Michigan State Spartans, I clicked on the wrong game, taking a peek of that football power index, only giving the Spartans a 6.
6% chance to win.
And I would say That's going on the high side.
I don't know about all of you, but I just don't see any way that Michigan State can go in and beat Michigan.
It's been crazy that big brother little brother rivalry has put out Ah lot of good games in recent years, but we'll just have to see where it goes this weekend.
Take a look around the rest of the double A, at least at the Top 25.
Wisconsin taking care of Illinois 45 to 7.
Clemson stays number one after reading Syracuse 45 or 47 21.
Crimson Tide beat the Volunteers, 48 17 and a thorough dismantling in Pittsburgh in an A C C matchup where Notre Dame could look for Riel.
I have been saying on our podcast with my friends Next, if you won't be joining me tonight, that Cincinnati, he's going to bump out the Big 12 and get that fourth playoff spot.
But if Notre Dame keeps playing the way they've been playing, playing a full A C C schedule, I don't know, it looks like we're going to get to a C C teams in the mix.
Well, it's most likely gonna be Clemson and Notre Dame, about 45 to 3, and after the first quarter of 7 to 3, still in favor of Notre Dame putting up 21 in the 2nd and 17 in the third, not taking their foot off the gas until that final quarter of play.
The other os you Oklahoma State, 24 to 21 narrowly escaping the Iowa State Cyclones Cincinnati, 42 17.
, they're Southern Southern Myth Methodist and the Bear Cats jumping up to 740 1st in the American, and they will have a big game against conference rival Memphis this week.
Memphis usually puts out a few really good teams.
I've seen them play against my bowling green Falcons.
We'll have to see what exactly they can do, and it doesn't get easier from there.
They'll have Houston, Eastern Carolina, UCF, uh, Temple and Tulsa toe end the season, but the Bear Cats looking like they could be in the position to sneak in as a dark horse in the college football playoff number 12.
BYU wins 50 to 14 over Texas State.
North Carolina beats N.
State, 48 to 21.
As I said, Michigan retains the little Brown jug once again, 49 to 24.
Wake Forest and upset Virginia Tech as the Hokies go down 23 16.
Kansas State taking care of in state rival Kansas, 55 14 Marshall beating Florida Atlantic 20 to 9 and Coastal Carolina beats Georgia Southern.
They'll state in the top 25.
They'll actually move up five spots to 20 after beating Georgia Southern.
We're gonna go ahead and take a I'm gonna take a quick break, grab a drink of water, and then I'll come back and we will move on to talking NFL action.
And we'll start out with the shootout at Paul Brown Stadium.
That was the Browns and the Bangles.
You're right here on the Smith inside a live show.

We'll go ahead and tucks with some NFL action now, and like I said, we're gonna go ahead and start with in my opinion one of the best games of this past week, and we'll stay in the A F C.
North as a shoot down between the Browns and the Bengals.
And first off, congratulations, Joe Burrow.
You had yourself a really good night.
Afternoon, Rather, just was not good enough.
An angry Baker? Mayfield, who started out the game over his first five but then went on to complete 21 of his next 22 is on Lee incompletion.
Coming on a spike to stop the clock as it kept going back and forth.
It looked like the Bengals.
We're gonna have the wind.
And then, oh, here comes the Browns.
Well, we'll start out with a little bit of the scoring summary.
First quarter Joe Burrow a one yard touchdown run to make it seven to nothing as that would be.
One of, I believe, three touchdowns he was responsible for on the evening.
And then Cody Parky for the Browns right at the end of the quarter would add a 43 yard field goal, and I don't know if that all of you Browns fans out there, but, um, every time Cody Park he goes out to kick a field goal.
My heart skips a few beats.
I remember to the 20 16 season, where he missed a big, crucial game tying field goal against the Dolphins in that whole one in 15 season.
And, of course, he was gone after that.
And then Randi Bulk would add his own field goal to make it 10 to 3 at the 11 09 mark of the second quarter.
Harrison Bryant then would get the Browns on the board with their first touchdown to tie the game at 10 a three yard touchdown pass from Baker Mayfield.
This is when he started going on his tear and Tyler Boyd, with 15 seconds until halftime, would be on the receiving end of 11 yard pass from Joe Burrow.
Make it 17 to 10.
Harrison Bryant, the rookie.
We get his second touchdown pass of the afternoon, a six yard pass from Baker once again ties thing up or things up at seven.
And then Randy Bullock would put the Bengals back in front with a 23 yard field goal, and that would be the last scoring in the third quarter.
And then holy cow just started going back and forth from there.
David and Joe Coup.
13 13 16 yard pass from Baker Mayfield Tee Higgins 16 yard pass from Joe Burrow, Kareem Hunt, an eight yard touchdown pass and broken coverage that gave the Browns a 31 27 lead.
And a lot of people said they scored two quick.
There were still 4 53 remaining in that one, and they were Rytas.
Giovanni Bernard would pick up the three yard pass from Joe Burrow, and with only 106 remain.
Cleveland fans weren't sure what was gonna happen there.
A three yard point, it seemed the Browns best hope was to get into field goal range and let Cody Parky try a long one.
And then, on the ensuing drive, the Browns just kept up, picking up first downs.
A five play, 75 yard, 55 2nd drive that was kept in a spectacular Donovan People's Jones 24 yard touchdown pass from Baker Mayfield and was still 11 seconds on the clock.
The Browns would kick it off.
The Bangles would return near mid field.
Joe Burrow would try toe.
Let one rip the Browns dropped all but three back in coverage.
It was tipped a felling, completing the Browns get out of the Queen City with a much needed win to move toe five and two on the season.
Get their second win in the division, and it was just not what you were expecting.
The biggest downside, though, for the Browns, is they have now lost Odell Beckham Jr for the remainder of the season with a tourney a c L, which is.
We wish him the best we really do.
He could be a bit of a knucklehead sometimes when he's talking to the media, but he's still a talented wide receiver.
Hm, what when I say, But because I really hate that I have to go into this.
It almost seemed like Baker plays better without him.
He wasn't trying to force the ball to anyone he got.
He spread the ball around to a bunch of different receivers, and the Browns got that wind.
That can maybe prove they are for real in this division.
Although it may be too late to catch the Steelers and the Ravens, you never know.
Ravens had a bye week.
Steelers beat the Tennessee Titans and a heartbreaker.
We'll talk a little bit about that one here in just a minute.
But the Browns played like they want to make the Super Bowl.
I'm not saying they will.
I'm just saying they played like they want to.
They played like they can make a big splash come postseason and the extra wild card spot, which my good friend and co host next, Smith, he will tell you on another time when we have him on that is a That's extra wild card was made for the Browns.
That being said, the tight ends played phenomenally for Baker.
Mayfield, the wide receivers that were left in their played really well.
My Onley issue with the Browns is the secondary, and I say it time and time again.
You've got Denzel Ward, who's a great cornerback.
You've got Mac Wilson and in the linebacker's spot.
And then, of course, Myles Garrett up front.
But the Browns need to trade to get another piece in the secondary, and they need to do it now.
Unfortunately, their biggest trade bait option in Odell Beckham Jr is out for the remainder of the season, so I don't know where they will get it.
But the Browns need help in the secondary, especially while greedy Williams is out.
Bangles on the other side looked really good.
Joe Burrow, 35 of 47 20 less passes roughly than he threw on that Thursday night game.
He did have an interception.
He should have had another one.
But just unable to come down with with it was the defensive back for the Cleveland Browns, whose name escapes me at the moment.
He's 1 300 yard game away from tying the NFL record set by Andrew Luck of 6 300 yard games in your rookie season, and I think he's gonna break this record.
I think he's gonna move it past six.
I think he's going to get to seven or eight the way he played yesterday.
We will just have to see how it goes.
The Browns still have a tough road ahead of them, though, as we look ahead in the schedule, they've got three games at home before going on the road for two.
They'll host the Las Vegas Raiders at one PM on Fox this Sunday, the first ESPN giving them a 55% chance toe win.
It's all gonna come down to what can happen.
Derek Carr is thrown for 13 touchdowns, just two interceptions, 1700 yards.
But seven interceptions, two of which happened against Pittsburgh, two of which happened against Indianapolis and one of which happened against the Bengals yesterday.
So we'll see what happens.
But the Browns on paper have this one.
Kareem Hunt has been running really well.
101 carries, 463 yards, three touchdowns.
The Browns are missing Nick Chubb.
They need to get Nick jump back when he is healthy, and that will help out a lot.
But Jarvis Landry 29 receptions, 367 yards, No touchdowns yet.
I expect that to change this Sunday in Cleveland.
See if they've got a weather forecasts here.
It doesn't look like they do right now yet on ESPN, but it's gonna be November in Cleveland.
It's gonna be cold.
That being said, I think the Browns come out with a convincing win against the three and three Raiders, who are two and one on the road.
Brown's three, you know at home, 12,000 fans are allowed to be in attendance at first Energy Stadium.
I think this is gonna be a statement win for the Browns to show everyone that they are for Riel.
And while we're on the topic, I think this is also gonna be a statement win for Baker.
He's gonna ball out once again, and he's gonna show that he is the quarterback of the future in Cleveland.
But after that, it's the Texans who have looked really good without Bill O'Brien being the coach and general manager, the Eagles, who lead the NFC East, although that is the poorest division in football so far this season.
But not a game that could be taken lightly at Jacksonville with Gardner Minshew, who's looked good.
But the Jaguars have really fallen off the wagon.
And then the biggest test coming up in the next few weeks will be on December 6th against the Tennessee Titans and then once again on December 14th against the Ravens, and then they'll close the regular season at home against Pittsburgh and game.
That could mean a lot.
It could mean very little, as I would expect both teams to be close or have locked up their playoff spot, But I think the Browns are going to go on a tear here when a few more in a row and make the playoffs.
I am calling it right here right now.
The Cleveland Browns will make the playoffs in the 2020 season.
Elsewhere around the NFL, we have the Rams and Bears tonight on ESPN at 8 15.
The Eagles and Eagles beat the Giants, 22 to 21 on Thursday Night Football.
Of course, Daniel Jones got sniped when he had a clear field ahead of him, Lions beating the Falcons, who are one in six.
And it's either gonna be the Jets or the Falcons going for that number one pick, and I'm going to expand on this a little bit.
The two best quarterbacks in this draft are gonna be Trevor Lawrence and Justin Fields.
Justin Fields has been on the record before, saying the NFL will come and that he wants to win the Heisman Trophy and he wants to win a national championship with the Ohio State Buckeyes.
That being said, I think as long as the Falcons and the Jets do not have the number one pick he will leave after this season championship or not, Heisman or not.
But if either of those two organizations have the number one overall pick, I expect him to not opt into the draft elsewhere again around the NFL.
Steelers beat the Titans, and we'll look at this one a little bit more.
The Steelers one of the only Pardon me Steelers, one of the only unbeatens left in the NFL as Ben Roethlisberger looked like the Big Ben of old.
Except he did throw three interceptions, 32 of 49 2 touchdowns, 268 yards while Ryan Tannehill 18 of 23 220 yards and two touchdowns.
And it all came down to a got Kowski missed field goal attempt that would have tied the game.
Steelers jumped out to the early seven nothing lead and then in the second quarter added on to that to make it 14 or nothing.
And then the Titans made it a one score game, 14 to 7 before a field goal from Chris Bonds.
Well, then Deon Johnson catching a nine yard touchdown pass.
At halftime, Steelers would add another field goal to make it 27 to 7.
Then here come the Titans touchdown to A J. Brown.
A 73 yard pass from Tannehill made it 27 14.
Then a field goal made it 27 17 and then Derrick Henry a one yard touchdown run to make it a three point game.
An event, of course, got Kowski just couldn't get it done with the field goal unit.
So the Titans fall to five and won.
The Steelers moved to six, and oh, and want to keep an eye on that in the A F C North hot take here.
I think the Steelers are gonna end up winning the A F C North.
I do not think the Ravens are going Thio.
I have said it for months now, all the way dating back to the end of last season.
I think Lamar Jackson is just gonna be a flash in the pan.
I think he's gonna have a good season this year, maybe next year.
But teams are starting to figure him out.
And unless he can change his game and rely on being a pocket passer and using his legs as a secondary action the Ravens are not going to be a Super Bowl contender every year.
Saints beat the Panthers 27 to 24 in the Superdome, Bills beating the Jets 18 to 10 and a close one there.
And are the Bills showing their true colors? Or were they just playing down to their opponents? Washington football team wins 25 to 3 over the Dallas Cowboys, and the big story line in that game is Andy Dalton went out with a concussion.
Ah, just really not what you want to see.
And if I can find the hit there, I can't remember who we hit him.
But it was helmet to helmet contact that resulted in an ejection for a defensive player for the Washington football team.
As let's take a look here, I can't seem to find it.
That's who it was that that is correct.
He was ejected for that helmet to helmet hit that sent Andy Dalton out and Andy Dalton.
We hope you're OK. Dallas.
I think Mike McCarthy is on the hot seat after one year, although in Dallas the head coach is always on the hot seat.
I have said it before If Jerry Jones could go down and called plays himself, he would.
Angry Aaron Rodgers wins 35 to 20 in Houston over the Texans.
Tampa Bay and the Buccaneers beat the Raiders, 45 20.
The Kansas City Chiefs win in a snowy mile high Stadium, 43 16 over the Broncos.
Niners absolutely destroying the Patriots.
It's 33 6 and Cam Newton is washed up.
He's not gonna be the answer in New England, of course.
Boston always wants their fans or their fans.
I should say, Want the team to be winning year after year after year, although they need to get a quarterback and they need to be in the position to draft a quarterback.
A Chargers beating the Jaguars, 39 29 at so Fi Stadium In the shocker of the week, the Cardinals, five inches to now go into Seattle.
I mean, part of the host, the Seahawks, and beat Russell Wilson and the Cardinals by a final score of 37 to 30 for another close game there.
Not what we were expecting.
Not at all what we were expecting out of that.
And as I go through here.
The only un beating team remaining in the NFL is the Pittsburgh Steelers, and I think it's going to remain that way, at least for a little bit.
Steelers looking like a Super Bowl contender with Big Ben healthy again.
How long they can keep it up.
I'm not sure Big Ben is a older quarterback and he's got the power.
He's got the movement.
I just don't know if he can keep going at a high level forest long as they need him. Thio.

We usually stream Tuesday afternoon at around 4 30 and I would be remiss test if I didn't go back toe NC double a football.
But we're just a moment as we talk about the game.
That is to be the biggest rivalry coming next week in the Mid American Conference.
It should finish the season.
But the Mid American Conference disagrees with me as we look at Bowling Green going to the Glass Bowl to take on the Toledo Rockets in the battle of I 75 and the football power index Onley giving Bowling Green a 14% chance in this one.
I think Bowling Green has a lot better chance to pull the upset over Toledo much like they did last year, getting their first win in the Siris in 10 years and tying the all time Siri's between the Rockets back up.
No fans will be in attendance.
I believe the Rocket Marching Band will be in attendance, so a little bit of game day atmosphere.
But the bowling green Falcons have a good team put together, and Scott left Lear's second year at the helm.
He's got his quarterback, Matt McDonald, the transfer from Newport Beach, California The transfer from left.
Where is the quarterbacks coach at Boston College? Not to mention Andrew Claire in Bryce, Bryce and Dentally, which might be the biggest quarter biggest running back duo in the Mid American Conference Bowling Green Toledo.
Not the oldest rivalry in the Mac, but in my opinion, it can be the fiercest.
The rest of the Falcon schedule looks like this after going to Toledo on Wednesday the fourth.
They'll be at joint Perry Stadium on Tuesday, November 10th, to face the Kent State Golden Flashes and then the following week, November the 17th toe host the Buffalo Bowls before going down to Athens to face the Ohio Bobcats and then Infestation Stadium in Akron to face the Zips before ending the regular season hosting the Miami RedHawks in a game that I call him last year for Bowling Green Student Radio.
And it was cold and snowy on top of the top of the top Rolla bleachers down at Jaeger Field.
But I'm expecting a few really good matchups.
And in a year where there is no quota to be bowl eligible, expect the Falcons to be playing in a bowl game this year.
