So once again, thanks for joining us.
Let's go ahead and read Preview.
L s U and Auburn.
So let's go ahead and go over the Auburn Tigers.
We're gonna break down the Auburn Tigers and let's go ahead and do that.
This could be a lot of stats.
Get stats on the screen and we'll put that up on.
Thus began looking at what happened.
Okay? Last game they played.
They won against Ole Miss 35.
28 in that game.
So they won their now three and two.
Um, they're also at home at two and zero.
But I'm gonna be honest with you.
I'm gonna be absolutely honest with you.
This is gonna be a tough game for l s u going up to the place this coming weekend.
So? So we're gonna be giving you a, um and then the preview.
So let's go ahead and get Let's go ahead and begin with our preview here.
So let me see if we got our I'm gonna preview l s u and just up on the screen.
What's that? Okay.
The editors wanna show press conference will begin at 12.
Will be, um, sending you today.
So let's go ahead and preview.
Um, let's go ahead and begin.
Ls Auburn's averaging 24 points, but giving up 25 points a game.
On first down, uh, Auburn's averaging 108 1st down total.
They have, um, first sounds.
They have by runs 53 by runs 50.
Bypassed and five penalty.
The passing yards.
They they average, let's see, 119.
The rating is 1 19.
3, but the averaging 1107 yards a game there also throw 102 out of 173 passes.
They have six touchdowns and four interceptions.
So I look at it this way.
This is gonna be a very good Auburn football team, if you ask me.
So we're going through these numbers right now.
Um, on offensive yards, they average 343 149 plays for 1929 yards.
Also, the third down conversions they're averaging 30 34 out of 72 Good for 47%.
They also average 20% on 34th down conversions.
Also on red zone success.
They're averaging, um, 84%.
So that's the biggest concern, right? There is the red zone efficiency coming into this game.
So they're averaging.
Um uh, more than that, let's go ahead and give you, uh, and that that game numbers.
Okay, there The last scored the average 122 points.
They have 14 touchdowns.
Um, at eight field goals.
Also, they have two extra points, but no safeties.
The last couple of games they played against South Carolina, they had 22 points.
Um, they scored 22.
They scored 30 against Arkansas.
And also, they scored six against Georgia and then 29 versus Kentucky.
So they had 29 verse Kentucky.
So they averaging 122 points a game that z 24 points of gay.
So that's what we're looking at right now.
Okay, let's give you the, um Let's give you the total offense.
I'm gonna give you a total offense.
Um, what are auburn is averaging? Gonna give you those numbers? Okay, they're averaging, um, 1929 year old.
It's a total offense.
They have 822 on the ground, 1107 through the air.
And also they averaged 349 plays, averaging 5.
53 yards for a play.
That's what they're averaging in their games.
So that's that's just concern situation right there when you look at it.
So So let's go through some or numbers.
Okay? This is in total yards that were going through the total yards.
Let's go through the passing yards will give you numbers on passing yards.
Okay, let's give you that.
Passing yards. Numbers.
Let's go through.
The split stats will give you Ah, pretty good.
And in all games averaging 221 yards a game in home games, which you will be a home game this coming weekend.
The averaging 210.
So the averaging 2 21 in all games but to 10 at home, which is something right there that the l s u defense is gonna have to be very concerning about.
So this is going to be not a cakewalk coming into this game.
This coming? Um, Saturday.
I don't know why we're not getting up.
So let's go through the Let's go and whence the averaging 219 yards a game.
They have 57 of 86 completion.
Their completion percentage is that 66% they have five touchdowns and winds, but no interceptions and winds.
Um, in their last win.
So that's pretty good ****ysis.
In conference play, this is in conference play.
Let's go through the conference numbers.
They're averaging 2.
4, so that's in the numbers right there to 21.4.
They have 100 uh, two completions out of 173.
This is 1170 yards.
They have six touchdowns and four interceptions.
So I'm gonna tell you, Auburn is a very good football team when it comes to the in the month of October, the averaging 218 yards passing.
Uh, they also have three touchdowns and four interceptions, so they're kind of struggling.
Uh, but they're intercepting the touchdown ratio going into this game versus the Tigers.
So that's kind of odd right there when you look at him in the month of October.
So let's go ahead and give you the situational numbers will give you the situational numbers on Auburn.
Okay, The first half the averaging, um, 421 yards passing, They have two interceptions, so they're struggling in that area.
The quarterback rating is 107.9.
So that's in the first half.
Now, in the second half.
Ls, uh, Auburn's averaging? Um, five touchdowns, two interceptions.
So that's in the second half in overtime, period.
So that's the numbers we're looking at right now.
Now their quarterback rating is 1 27.7.
So this is how we look at him in the first quarter.
Let's go through the first quarter numbers.
Auburn's hours in 221 yards a game, that Z one touchdown, um, in game.
So that's in the first quarter.
The averaging one touchdown now in the second quarter will break down the second quarter, Uh, the averaging 19 to 32 passing that's in the second quarter.
Their quarterback completion percentage is at 59.4%.
They have 200 yards.
They average two touchdowns and games.
So two interceptions and no touchdowns.
So that's in the second quarter.
So they'll get those interceptions, um, in, um, the second quarter.
Now let's go over to the third quarter.
Now we'll go over to the third quarter, the averaging one touchdown and two interceptions so that kinda in a drop drop spot right there, so they their quarterback completion percentage is that 57.
9, so it drops from 59 to 57.
That's about 2% points difference Now.
In the fourth quarter, they're averaging 60% on completion percentages.
They complete UM 27 45.
They have four scores and also no interception.
Their quarterback rating goes up to 1. 50.74.
So that's not too bad right there.
When you look at the situation with, uh, the Auburn Tigers look, you could see sure, they're good, very good.
Three and two football team.
But they've been struggling with their interceptions touchdown ratios.
So that's what they're we're going through right now.
So if you're in here, you want to talk about L s U football? You can l s U in Auburn.
We all preview and L s u Auburn at this hour.
Um, so let's go go through some or right down.
On first down, this is the passing offense.
They're averaging 479 yards on passes.
They have one touchdown.
Their quarterback rating is 1 19.
7 now, one second down conversions there at 62%.
So that's 341 yards and also one touchdown.
But they have no interception.
Their quarterback rating goes upto 1 22.
Now in third down conversions, their numbers go down the 58.
3% on completion percentage, and they get 287 yards.
But they have three interceptions, so their quarterback touchdown the interception ratio is that 4 to 3.
So that's the concerns right there going into this football game versus the Auburn tires.
So we're looking at their numbers right now.
So also, let's go through the £4.
They only, um, they over 11 of those, um, but their 1st, 2nd and 3rd, their numbers just absolutely just go up on 1st, 2nd and 3rd down.
Now, when they had the ball at their own 1 to 20 yard line, they are at 74 yards, 61% completion percentage now the 21 through 39 con there at 60%.
But there at 300 90 yards there have three interceptions.
So that's when they go from the 21 to the 39 yard line.
They have three interceptions now, 40 to opponents 40.
There are 62% but they get 390 yards, a swell the same area.
So that's the concern.
This is the this the passing game, um, situation ALS for that.
Now let's go over to the run game now.
We'll break down the run game for you.
We'll break down what they have on run game efficiencies.
What's going to give you those run game efficiency numbers? Okay, the run game this is in the first half will go over to the first half numbers because this is what we're going through. The first half numbers.
They have five touchdowns in the run game, the averaging 516 yards, UH, on 93 carries, so they're going to get those carries in the first half.
They're gonna get those five touchdowns in the first half as well.
Now in the second half.
Auburn averages two touchdowns in the second half that Z 306 yards on 83 carries.
So 83 carries for UM, 306 yards.
But they're averaging 3.
69 yards for a park on those running situations.
Now that's in the 1st and 2nd half alone, so they'll get two touchdowns.
But don't get five now.
In the first quarter, let's go through the first quarter numbers.
They have 40 carries for 255 yards.
They're averaging 6.
38 so they're going to get those first quarter numbers up to 6.
38 When it comes to those numbers, they have two touchdowns, but their longest run.
It's 41 yards, but they'll get 15 1st downs, and there 10 plus yards they get is 11.
That's amazing right there.
So the 10 plus yards to get 11 now in the last five games, um, in the third quarter, often sa***ing, um, Now, this is the second quarter.
Auburn is averaging 53 carries for 2 61 but the averaging 4.
9 yards for carry that straight scores in games.
But their longest 10 plus yards is 11 so they're gonna get their numbers up there now.
There, 20 plus would be one now in the third quarter.
Let's go to the third quarter.
Numbers were going through the third quarter numbers.
Auburn's averaging 49 carries for about 142 yours, so they go down to about 2.
9 yards for carrying the third course.
So that's how we look at these situations for the else you Auburn games now.
In the fourth quarter, the averaging 4.
82 yards per carry.
34 attempts for 1 64.
But they have one score on those one scores aspects, but their longest run is 30 yards.
There are first sounds.
Is 10 and there 10 plus yards that they get off those carriages.
So that's just how we look at these situations.
We see Isaac and Isaac's and I'll put them in.
You wanna come on down, they'll let you come in.
Okay, let's go through the downs and distance on the run plays.
Let's go through the downs and distance.
Okay, downs and distance on first sounds.
Auburn is averaging 5.
71 That's four touchdowns need of like.
Setting the length my grand send you the likes and just the second eyes.
It will send you a length in just a second.
I will be sending you just in just one second.
I'll let you come in.
So we'll let you come in.
I'll send your length now.
Alright, Lengths, lengths and Isaac.
I'm going through all the numbers right now.
Um, the longest run on those 10 plus is 18.
So they have 18 on those numbers right there.
Is that three? So that's not too bad on Twitter.
Yeah, cause on Twitter, cause the sportscast app doesn't work with you.
See what he's saying? I can't come in every show.
Yeah. You can't come in every show.
I just If you can't come in, you can't come in. That's fine.
I totally understand.
E don't know if he's probably telling me something.
Let me know something on mothers.
Send it to him again.
We'll just up the senator one more time because I'm very busy right now with these.
But these are things and very busy.
Alright, we're gonna have the editor Shawn press conference at about 12. 30.
So 12 10 will be joining them in just a second.
We'll go back over some or information.
Let's go over the second down run play second down run plays.
They average 63 run plays for 257 yards, averaging a 4.
0 um, yards per carry on second down.
Now they have three scores now the longest runs about 18.
Their first downs they have 20.
And there 10 plus is 12 12.
So they had 12 on there.
Now on third on third down.
So we'll go through all the numbers and I'll break that down for you.
If you want to come in later.
So come in later on this evening.
No, you got the I know you can't come in here, so just doing your lunch break.
So Okay, 25 carries, So 25 carries, 4.
2 doors for pop.
They have no scores on those on third with one 23 to go.
Now, the long run is 18.
19 and the first sounds are about 15 But there, 10 plus is about So that's on third with +123 to go.
So that's on the down to the distance categories, but they on fourth down, they go minus 20 minus 20 and their minus 5.
0 on those numbers.
So I'm looking at the running game, and I'm gonna say this Look, they're gonna get those downs and distant numbers and on the run place, so that's on run place.
I can't you need um uh uh, Yeah, We'll probably gonna have toe. Just let him.
Okay, let's go through.
We just went through the past place when through the run place, and we'll go through the receiving yards.
Just go through the receiving, give you some breakdowns on them.
Let's go through the receiving yards.
I'll give you those numbers.
Okay to receiving in the last couple of games average ah, 102 catches for 1107 yards and six scores.
So that Z on the young, that's the Auburn offense.
So the average six scores the averaging 10.
8, um, yards per catch.
So that's kind of the the No, I'm right there.
Now, let's give you the red zone red zone opportunities.
I'm gonna give you those red zone numbers.
I'll give you those in just a second.
Now I'm going to do that.
Okay? The red zone split.
So let's give you the red zone splits.
To split numbers at home, they have, um um on seven or nine attempts, the average seven scores.
That's five touchdowns and two field goals.
They're at 55.6%.
That said the touchdown percentage rate that's at home now in conference play this is in conference plate.
They have 16 of 19 scoring.
They're averaging 11 touchdowns and five field goals.
That's at 57 point 8%.
So that's just the numbers right there.
We're going going over now in the month of October.
Let's go to the month of October with the Organ Tigers, the averaging 13 or 15 scores.
So that's 13 out of 15 scores and that Z good for about 86.6%.
And also the touchdown, um, percentage rate is at 53.3%.
That's pretty darn good.
They have eight touchdowns and five field goals, so if you can, um, slow them down and red zone, you'll be good for it.
But if you don't, then they're going to score.
That's how it goes in those situations.
Can't get it to us.
Yeah, I can't get his phone. That's all right.
So we are once again looking at Red Zone efficiencies.
So now let's go through the all games.
Let's go through all games.
Let's give you those numbers from all game.
There are 16 of 19 in the red zone.
They're averaging 84.
21% 11 scores, 11 touchdowns and five field goals and their 57.8%.
So that's how we look at the Auburn Tigers.
When you look at the Auburn Tigers, you say to yourself how and hell that they just do it very well.
They do it pretty doing well on those, um, scores.
So that's in the red zone.
Now, this is on third down conversions.
Let's give you those third down.
Conversion numbers will go through the third down Conversions, um, in games.
Okay, this is at home now.
They're gonna be at home this coming weekend.
The averaging 10 of 25.
So 10 out of 25.
That's good for 40%.
So that's good for 40%.
So the L s u defense has to be on his toes on third down.
We have to get off the field on third down because if you don't get off the field on third down, those third downs could turn into first downs.
That's just how we see it now.
In the month of October.
This is where in the month of October, there, um 30 for 62 in there um, third down conversions.
That's good for about 48.3%.
So they're they're high numbers right there.
That is a high dentist.
See numbers going into these games for the Auburn Tigers.
So that's how we look at this third down conversion situation.
Now let's go through the £4.
Let's go through the fourth round numbers.
I'm gonna give you those 4000 numbers.
Right now they're one of five.
So right now, if they could go forth and forth found they will not be successful now.
In the month of October, they went one for four, so that's one for four.
So that's in the month of October.
That's the last four games.
So it's kind of a low, dense dentist E right, a little dancing.
So I kind of look at it this way.
If you could get control them on fourth down, that would be a great opportunity to get off the field on fourth down, just like get off the field on third down.
So we're all looking at the auburn.
Um, fourth down.
So let's go Thio back Thio First down, we'll give you their numbers as we break down to some L s U and Auburn game.
Um, let's go through the numbers.
First down conversion rate that they have at home.
They're gonna be at home this week.
There, they have 40 A.
Um, they have 18 on runs and 21 passes.
So they're gonna get them mostly on the passes.
Um, those 41st downs on those passes that's at home now.
And I'm up till October.
They're 40 for 49 44 49.
They have 40 runs and 40 49 runs and 40 passes.
So 92 eyes that number.
So their numbers, they're gonna continue to arm stay up there at 92 1st downs.
Now they're on Lee.
Um, they only got three penalties, so that's on first down.
Now, in the conference play, let's go to the conference side.
They have 108 1st downs.
They have 50 on past 53 on run.
So they're gonna get Mosul.
Yawn, runs, um, first sounds on runs.
So that is how we could look at these, um, passing numbers and stuff like that and run numbers.
And let's go ahead and give you a the quarterback play.
Um, let's give you his last five, uh, games.
I'm gonna give you his game numbers.
Okay? I can give you those numbers.
Give you the game.
Bog on him, Bo. Next.
So let's give you both nixes numbers, Okay? Bo Nix.
In the last couple of, um, games he went in the old Miss game.
He went 23 for 30.
He had 238 yards, had one score.
His quarterback rating was 1 54 point, um three.
So that's kind of concerning right there for Bo Nix in this game.
Now, the game against South Carolina, he had a rating of 93.9.
He had three interceptions in that game vs South Carolina and he had one score.
He went, um 24 47 for about 272 yards.
Is completion percentage was at 51%.
Now against the orchestra Razorbacks, he had 17 of 28 passing 1 87.
He also had no interceptions.
His quarterback rating was at 1 28.
That was versus Arkansas.
That was on the October 10 now, um, on October 3rd, when they played Georgia and lost 27 to 6.
He went 20 one for 40.
He had one interception.
His quarterback rating went to 84.6.
That was kind of the norm right there.
6 now against Kentucky.
They won the game.
He went 16 for 27 to 33 3 scores.
His rating went Thio.
Now his run play.
Let's give you his running numbers.
I'm gonna give you his run numbers.
I'm gonna give you those game log numbers right here.
Okay? Let's give you those run numbers.
Okay? The last game he played was against Old Mess.
He had 10 carries for 52 yards.
That was against the old Miss Rebels.
Now against South Carolina went, um, hey.
Had 15 carries for 69 yards.
He had, on average of 4.
0 now against the Arkansas Razorbacks.
He had 10 carries for 30 so its numbers went, um, you only have one score, but the had a 3.
0 average now against Georgia yet? Um, 11 carries for eight yards.
So that was against Georgia.
You only had a rating of 0.73.
Now the game against Georgia, he had five carries for 34 yards, and that was 6.
80 number going into the game.
So I look at it this way.
Both Nicks can either run or he could pass in the game.
He's very athletic.
That's what we look at.
Now let's give you the running game.
The run game, okay? The main carry right there is take Bisbee.
He has, um, um 74 carats for 432 yards.
He's averaging 5.
8 yards for Carrie.
He also averages 86 yards a game.
Now, Bo Nix, is it not a guy? Bone next has, um, 51 carries.
So he's going to be a very detrimental mental.
Um, running quarterback.
He had two touchdowns.
He's averaging 38.
J. Williams is another individual.
He has 21 carries.
He's averaging 5.
5 yards for carrying.
Next guy is going to be, um, Sean Shavers.
He has, um, 17 carries for 89 yards.
So you're gonna have your main guys.
You're gonna big speed next, and Williams and then also, uh, shavers.
So that's going to be your your main threat right there when it comes toe, Um, l s u getting these guys contained.
So we will have the editor Sharone press conference around 12. 10.
So we're gonna finish up and we'll go over to the L s U uh, sports radio network video feed for L s U editors, Iran's press conference.
And then we'll go through all the film study.
So let's go through the receivers.
Let's go through the receiving corps off the Oran Tigers.
Let's go through those numbers, Okay.
Seth Williams is one of their main contributors.
He has 24 catches for 404 440 yards.
He's averaging, UM, 18.
3 yards for Cats.
Now Anthony shows, um Swartz.
He's another guy.
He has 34 catches for 299 yards.
He's averaging 8.
7 yards per catch.
Eli Stove has another.
He's averaging 8.
56 yards per catch.
He has two scores, so it's another now take.
Bisbee has five catches for 84 yards.
He's averaging seven yards a game.
So that Z the wide receiver corps, is very a lose up in a sense of their averaging 10.
8 yards for catch and games.
So I look at it this way.
That's going to be what's gonna happen? This coming? Um um, Saturday, when they take on when they play, that's the receiving corps for the Auburn Tigers.
And so let's give you, um there.
So we're going to give you the all purpose on runners give you those all purpose individuals.
Okay, All purpose guises.
Bigsby He has 163 yards in all purpose Williams has 88.
So your main guy's going to be Bixby and Williams for the Auburn Tigers.
They're gonna get there yards and carries in games.
So eso once again I look at it this way.
We're gonna have a lot of work cut out for us going into this game versus the Auburn Tigers just coming Saturday.
We have to contain these individuals because I'm gonna tell you if you don't contain them, they're gonna is gonna be a long and treacherous, um, afternoon for L S U in general.
So that's very important to contain.
Those are individuals.
So So let's go and give you that The sacks and we'll wrap this up.
We'll go over to the others were on press conference in just a few minutes.
Once again, um offers averaging eight sacks again.
That's for 43 yards as a team.
Their main sack guys is, um, McLean and pop Pop.
Oh, hey has two sacks of the game.
And also Newkirk is another guy and also Walker and then, um, smoke smoke Monday.
It's one of them.
It's another guy.
And also so down the line, you got some pretty good, um, players that could cause a lot of problems for the l S u um, offense and whoever is the quarterback where I was TJ family or Max Johnson.
They're gonna have to be very vigilant and read those, um, those blitzes, because if you don't read those blitzes, they're gonna be coming in pressuring.
Um, so once again, we will go over to the editors on press conference.
In just a few minutes, we'll be going over there going over there now, so we'll be going over to their press conference.
We're waiting for their press conference to begin, uh, for L s U football way.
All preview in the Auburn Tigers.
If you have any questions or concerns about L s, U and Auburn, please post them through.
SportsCastr Facebook a twitch.
We are talking about this l s u vs Auburn game.
So if you're in here, if you want to talk about LSU football, you can So So, once again, I'll be looking.
I'll be doing the film study after the press conference, so we will be doing that in just a few moments.
So let's go over to a data.
Um, stat that we're gonna be going over is, um turnover margin was giving that turnover margin breakdown on the last.
Their turnover margin they're averaging.
Um uh, there plus two in the turnover ratio, um, at home games there plus race.
So they're pretty good now in the month of October there minus one in the turnover ratio.
So that's the biggest stat we look at is the turnover ratio, because that determines if you're gonna win the football game or not.
That's just some how it goes.
So we'll go ahead and go over to the editors around press conference and just a few minutes just about 12 10.
So it's just about we're just waiting for the press conference Thio began.
So we switch it over in just a second.
So waiting on arm.
So let's go over.
Let's go over a couple of headlines before we, um, turn it over to the L S u Sports network for editors on press conferences.
Go ahead and do that.
We'll go over to that in just a second.
So what's what's this out? Well, go over to the editors on press conference and just about, uh, two minutes from now, let's go over to this.
Okay? Once again, old Odell Beckham, former L s U Player has torn in a c L.
So once again, he is not going to be playing, uh, this coming week.
So once again, his, um, his season is now over.
So he taught in a c l s.
So he did take, um, m r I on Monday.
So that is, um it's unfortunate Odell Beckham to face that trial and tribulation, but it is what it is.
Uh, this season, he called 23 catches for 319 yards, three touchdowns.
He also ran three times for 72 yards and another score.
So that's unfortunate for Odell Beckham to be facing that.
So his numbers right now his games played was 43 back in 2000 14 through 16 also 17 through 20 he had 39 games. He had 61%.
Um, what sentence? When he played, he also had a one game suspension.
That's from stats and info.

Welcome in to the cocoa press conference presented by People's Health The official health plan of L s U Athletics sell through Monday.
I can't wait to see our team today.
A recap of last week and a look ahead to the battle coming up Always do it else you that you have to win.
I know the expectation of else used to win and my goal has always been the winter Those chutes now Thio get things started from the l s u sports radio network Capital one studios here is former Tiger Gordy.
Rush on the voice of your fighting Tigers Chris Blair.
Good Monday afternoon, Tiger fans.
It is once again great to have you join us for the Cocoa Press conference presented this week by People's Health.
Coming up at the bottom of the hour 12 30 or thereabouts at coach Eros, Geromel briefly discussed last Saturday night's dominant win over South Carolina 50 to 24.
Then he will, as always, turn, uh Saturday, as the Tigers will travel to take on Auburn at Jordan Hare L s u.
Now two and two on the season.
Auburn coming in. Thrilled.
I have to believe to be three and two.
They've got winds over Kentucky close ones against Arkansas, and last week late, they get the win over Ole Miss.
That got losses to Georgia and those game****s of South Carolina and Gordon.
When you, you know, come into this week looking back, we were here on this show, coach Ed Orgeron said.
Three things that he really emphasized last week during his press conference, getting a possible true freshman, ready to play a quarterback, running the football effectively and major defensive improvement.
All in all quickly.
Your assessment of those three aspects coming off the big win.
All right, Chris, I'm gonna start in the middle with the running the football.
I thought that was absolutely paramount, especially after the way that the Tigers struggled two weeks ago in Missouri.
And if you're you're going to get ah young quarterback ready, you got to be able to run the football and l s u ran, I believe, for 177 yards if if I go back and look at it.
But it had a excuse me.
They ran for 276 yards.
I stand corrected as a team, which is obviously a fantastic afternoon.
Davis Price and Emory were sensational and I think that, uh, forced will muss Champ's Thio get some man to man matchups and allocate some extra people to the box.
And it opened up the passing lanes to T.
Finley, who was lights out and obviously played a great game.
And on the defensive side of the football, there was still some bus.
But by and large, ls you played with better intensity, better effort and may fewer mistakes back.
There s so all in all, the definitely good team team effort.
You know, I like the fact that you started with running game because that not only was an emphasis I was gonna follow up with this past week, it's been an emphasis for really all season long for Coach O.
And you know why you and I aren't coaches.
I realized this on Saturday night, Um, after the Vanderbilt game.
Jon Emery had a great game, ran the football extremely well, had a career high, and we all thought, OK, that's the one that's kinda taking the bull by the horns.
He's gonna be the running back Coach O has said all along.
Hey, all three of these guys can get the job done and lo and behold, against South Carolina.
Jon Emery ran the ball well, but it's a career night for Ty Davis Price.
So it seems like the coaches kind of know a little bit more than than we don't know, no question.
And Chris Curry's been battling injuries out there.
But when you have 54 rushes in the foot ball game like that, and that's probably a little bit skewed because L S u had the lead in the second half and they were trying to run some clock.
But let's say 45 you've got to be able to spread the love around.
You don't want a college back.
They have 25 to 30 carries out there.
But But, you know, for for all of the above reasons, right, your your young quarterback in experience, the quarterback.
Even with Miles Brennan playing defensively, you've got a transition going on with the new defensive coordinator.
You want to be able Thio own that time of possession, and I think else you did a better job.
Heck, what was it? 18 to 2 at some point? Something crazy in the first half? Yeah, they certainly controlled the football and again had their longest drive of the season in the opening drive of the game, orchestrated by T.
J Finley, the true freshman quarterback who again completing 80% of his passes, 17 of 21 did throw the interception.
And again, when we watched it live from the booth, it almost looked like either.
Hey, he under through it.
But be I'm not sure he and the receiver on the same page because I don't think the receiver was expecting that ball will be that show.
It was an issue in the route combination.
There were two receivers that that we're running very too close to each other on.
Then you're I think you're exactly right.
The receiver that was intended for was not expecting.
It s not in those meeting rooms, but that's something to be corrected.
And you could live with that sort of mistake.
And one of the things that that that stood out to me.
Yes, the numbers were impeccable for T.
I mean, he he was as advertised and even more so considering that was his first snap and happened to be his first start.
But I just thought that what What really impressed me was the way he looked passing the eye test.
I mean, he looked like he was in control of that offense from the time they took their first possession throughout that entire game.
And it was almost as if some of the younger guys calling more comes to mind.
Who had a career night with three catches against South Carolina.
They were all kind of feeding off this young guys energy, whether they were freshman or whether they were veteran.
No, and the thing about it, the ball is coming out quick.
You know, I go back to we talked about in the broadcast.
I saw the first scrimmage, Chris, and one of things that impressed me about T.
Finley is how decisive he was with the football play action Boom.
The ball is coming out and is coming out with some zip on it.
I think the thing that really surprised me, Chris was how he was able to run the football.
That was something he didn't do a whole lot of.
And Panchito High School Tommy Moffitt has done a wonderful job with him in this strength and conditioning program.
He's lost some weight, and I thought that that was a key element, adding finale to the run game, especially on some of those quarterback leads.
Well, the receivers again played well.
It was a outstanding night again for terrorist Marshall Junior, who I just look around.
I mean, he's the best receiver in the country, and I imagine Jamaar Jason's probably already on the phone with the bullet Nick off.
People saying, Are you guys gonna put a new nameplate or do I need to do that? He was sensational.
Had six catches, 88 yards, had the 51 yard touchdown strike on a slant where somehow he kept his balance and able to get through three Game**** defenders.
Who could have made the play? No, absolutely.
It goes back to what we talked about the top of this broadcast.
If you run the foot, all the defense is gonna have to allocate more people down to the line of scrimmage, and that gets you Cem matchups that you can take advantage of.
Sometimes it's man the man, and I look in the SEC.
There's not too many DBS that can check Terrence Marshall man the man and prevent him from catching that football and taking it to the house.
All right, we at the bottom of the hour.
Of course, coach at O Geron will take over.
He'll have his opening statement, as he always does.
Didn't take questions from the media all virtual once again this week.
But we got to talk about defense and you kind of set the tone toe open the show, Gordy.
It was an improved effort.
There still were some missed aches.
And what's unfortunate when you take a look at the defense of front and, more specifically, Ali Gay and be JoJo, Laurie, Um, the way they're playing it's hard.
Um, you know, when you look at the overall numbers because upfront, they really are disrupting things in the offensive back there and you know, it's just execution of responsibilities and and you know what? I what I wanna harp on a little bit here is just contained.
And any time you're defensive football player, you've you know somebody to people on that foot ball field know who has contained.
What I mean by that is that I'm responsible if I'm on the right side of the football for forcing to play to come back inside.
It's not gonna get outside.
I mean, the same thing happens on the left.
And there were two huge bust in the football game, and that's something that they're gonna work on.
They're gonna have to clean up because this week they'll get Tank Bigby, who's the third leading rusher and the SEC and I talked about They're not throwing that out there running the football and l She's gonna have to do a better job defending the run to come out with a W in Jordan Hare Stadium.
No doubt about it, because tankan certainly run between the tackles.
But when he gets outside, I mean, he is just number one.
Hard to catch number too hard to get down.
So I expect Coach Oh, we'll talk about that a little bit coming up when he takes over at the virtual podium 50 to 24 l s u gets the win over South Carolina again to move to, too, and two on the season.
And don't forget when the Tigers win, you win.

Oh, continuing with the cocoa press conference presented by people's help coming up, we'll hear direct from the coach.
But once again, here are your hosts 40 and Chris coming up this Saturday just after 2.
30 it will be L s U and Auburn on the Plains.
L s u 31 22 1 all time against Auburn.
Of course, the Tigers have won four of its last five, which pretty interesting when you look at the overall history between these two schools on the gridiron.
As I mentioned coming into the matchup Gordy three and two on the season.
One thing is for sure, L S u needs to play a fairly clean game on and try to minimize mistakes.
Because Auburn's been very blessed in their last couple of ball games, including this past Saturday, they're able to come from behind late and beat Ole Miss in Oxford.
They've gotten some calls that have gone their way.
And, you know, they've been opportunistic and some of their winds And, you know, I think for L s U exactly.
Right, Continue doing what you're doing.
L s U is eighth in the N.
Double A and turnover margin.
I believe with a plus six is what I just saw a moment of.
And any time you go on the road in the league, you got to protect the football, no doubt about it.
And you look and you know what's interesting.
When I was preparing last week for the South Carolina game, you look at that loss Auburn suffered in Colombia 32 22.
They outgained on the ground and through the air.
South Carolina That game came down.
Two turnovers and field position, Um, and one other thing that stood out.
Obviously, Bo Nix, expected to take a major step forward this year, certainly has the skill set to do so.
South Carolina was able to get him out of the pocket, and once they got him out of the pockets starting in the second quarter, those mistake's started the happen in that first quarter.
When he was in the pocket, he was tearing him apart.
Yeah, and that's a surprise about this Auburn team.
Is that with Chad Morris coming in, an offensive coordinator and a lot of success that he had Clemson, it was throwing the football.
But yet it's been their run game that is ranked six in the SEC while their tent passing wives Bo Nix and has an outstanding receiver and Seth Williams.
But everybody knew that they were turning, actually lost their entire offensive line.
That was a little bit of a question marks, but but people and the ****ysts felt like they were going to rely on their passing game more so than their run game.
You know they're averaging 24 points a game just over 24 points a game.
And I guess, uh, you know, talking to Auburn fans and listening to some of the media, they're upset.
They're not scoring more points, but more importantly, they're giving up over 25 points a game.
And obviously, they lost some key players from last year's very talented defense.
And we talked about it all towards the back end of last year.
The best defense anybody played against L s u all season in 2019.
But they've had to replace, um, guys.
Um, but, you know, Kevin Steele of cocoa, I'm sure, is gonna talk about him. They're good friends.
Um, you know, they're always gonna be tough, and especially when they're playing at home. Yeah, no doubt.
He's a fantastic defensive coordinator, you know, Auburn and else you have a lot of parallels and that they lost a lot of people from very good football teams a year ago.
Derek Brown Davidson, those two big defensive lineman up there.
But what Auburn has that l s u doesn't have knock on wood.
They have had so many injuries.
Chris, they lost key. J. Britt.
They're fantastic middle linebacker arguably their best football player.
He's been out with a thumb surgery.
Jalen Simpson and Marco Domi, 02 of their defensive backs, have been out.
They lost to offensive lineman here in the last eight days in Brandon Council Bro.
Darius Ham is, ah, question mark, whether or not he comes back.
So you have this wrath of injuries to go with all the departures that they had a year ago.
And so that's one of the reasons I think Kevin Steele is struggling to get it going defensively, that there's just been a turnstile trying to get players in and out of the lineup immediately.
Once everybody turned their focus to the matchup L S U and Auburn, they started talking about Gus Malzahn and offensively, coming up and scheming a game plan where he can get his running backs again.
As we know, it's a spread to run offense.
If the running backs outside, get outside, contain, get on the corners, turn it up field and then eventually be able to find some soft spots through the passing game, I look at it from Meadows perspective.
It will be interesting to hear from the coach that they're also a team that South Carolina ran on very effectively.
Got him, got themselves in third and short most of that afternoon and was able to convert over 50% on third downs.
Something tells me coming off the success of running the ball this past week that's gonna be in order of the week is, well, Auburn's 12th in the SEC and Rush defense.
When's the last time you've heard that Auburn struggling to stop the run? So yeah, I think offensively again, Uh, priority number one is to get the L S U running game going on the flip side, I think when you talk about what Gus Malzahn is going to do when he sits down with Chad Morris, he's gonna call his former pupil.
He, like, drink What's up in Missouri? And you're going to see a whole lot of what they did.
Ah, whole lot of eye candy, whole lot of misdirection.
Cem Gadget plays and try toe to CFLs use cleaned up some of that communication if they simplified the defense and they're gonna try toe Boston and Force L s U into a bus coverage and make a big play, I imagine as we get set here just moments away from Coach Ed Orgeron joining us for the weekly press conference, I imagine.
Ah, lot of the water cooler talk this morning.
The main topic was Do we have a quarterback controversy at L s U.
Now I know Coach O early this morning on media outlets, said there is no quarterback controversy.
In fact, he said the same thing he did last.
There is a quarterback controversial template, comes in and plays Well, hey, that zits on, I guess what I think.
I mean, we don't have a quarter by controversy.
I mean, if you know what, I don't care how the social media platforms, um, the ESPN trio they were trying todo made a little bit Chris Little bit go from there.
But you like the question first and foremost is this is Miles Brennan ah, 100% to go for this game Tuesday.
If he's not 100% you have an open date and then Alabama coming in.
So I think that's the first.
So once again after this game, they will have an open date.
Will have no l s u Monday next week, if needed.
No, l s u Monday Next efforts and talking from Monday.
Brennan is a starter, and if he's not performing well, you know that you have T.
Finley is up to the coaching staff to determine when that's appropriate.
Well, I tell you this, and before Coach O joins us, I did not want to leave out the offensive line.
We talked about T. J. Finley.
We talked about Ty Davis Price and Jon Emery running the ball Terrorist Marshall on the receiving for doing their job.
None of that happens if you don't get great play from the offensive line.
And I thought it may have been their best performance of the season.
And if there's a competition for playing time, I got imagine.
It's at the offensive line.
You know, I agree with you and will must champion his postgame remarks comment, and he said that was his big concern.
Coming in, he said, Everybody knows that L.
S u has a big offensive line, a talented offensive line, and if they could clean up some of their errors and missed assignments, they would be able to run the ball. And that was his concern.
And obviously, uh, you know coaching staff was James Craig and them were able to get that cleaned up.
A zealous you ran for 200 what 67 yards in this game? Well, one thing's for sure.
The season started a little later on compared to the last couple of trips to Jordan hair.
The weather is gonna be a little more cooperative, at least we hope.
But it's still gonna be a tough place to play.
And the Tigers will be there this coming Saturday at 2 30.
Cordy will see on the Plains.
Sounds good, Chris.
All right, let's go to head coach Ed Orgeron.
He ready? Breath.
Overall, best performers this year.
Obviously, I want to give the players credit.
I asked him last Monday to stick together on the adverse times they did.
I'm coaching staff.
Did a tremendous job coaching.
We're not all the way there yet, but there are some tremendous improvements on offense towards 76 yards. Russia, Entire.
Davis had his best game, 1 35.
Jon Emery was awesome.
My brother thought offensive line was the MVP.
No sacks did a great job.
Cam wire went in there, did another fantastic job.
Give James Strike the critic a T J family with an outstanding job of preparation by Coach Ensminger and the staff.
Any time you walk in the office on the weekend TJ is during the off season, was studying his playbook.
Tremendous young man 17 21 to 65 2 TDs.
Thought he played exit Terrence Marshall against six catches, two touchdowns.
Having a great season.
Eight or 10 on third down.
We said We want to improve my third down with eight or 10.
Want improving our role on offense.
I like Bush Bushmen or one of my favorite place.
I wish we had that in a little sooner.
On defense, you know, we scored another touchdown.
The Lives Ricks with five sacks, three by B.
J O J Larry Overall.
Best performance on defense, but still not enough.
But we still have some work to do there, especially in the coverage aspect.
Trey Palm Gonna kick off return 93 yards, the first one in a long time.
No punts and Kate Yards.
78 field goals overall.
Our best performance.
Okay, now going on toe Auburn.
Auburn is a very good football team way no armor.
Tell Shoe is always a great matchup.
Sometimes come down to the last place.
Sometimes will come down to special teams play Whatever it ISS.
I have a lot of respect for Gus Malzahn in his offense theme.
Things that he does could give us problems is already give us problems this year.
I know that we're gonna have to have our best game on defense this year to be successful over on the offensive led by Bo Nix, he's a runner, dual threat, quarterback, tank, maybe the strong, powerful running number four love.
We recruited him. I love his mom and dad.
I'm glad to see he's having success is of tremendous young men.
Seth Williams is big and tall, Number 18 and Anthony Schwartz is the world class 100 m guy.
Always have speed or defense.
A lot of respect for coach Steel Steel and I worked together over here is an excellent coach.
He had an excellent game plan against us last year.
In fact, Auburn playing the best defense that we saw all last year. Four.
Man front 430 in Papua, who recruited here outstanding linebacker.
So Kobe McLean, outstanding linebacker.
Strong up front press coverage.
I was gonna be a challenge.
Any questions, Coach? With another impending hurricane, Possibly this week.
Any changes to your practice schedule and just what does it mean? Just to play for the state of, you know, so many people trying toe recover from hurricane.
Still, you're always gonna think about praying for the people in Louisiana first.
No question, then the safety of our young men Safety of our coaching staff.
But, you know, we have indoor practice facility.
If we can't practice, we're all gonna practice.
We can't. We can't.
I'm just gonna listen to what they tell me and hopefully that we can prepare.
I'm sure that when the hurricane hits, we'll all be safe and sound.
And hopefully that it doesn't affect our preparation.
But it's about our safety first.
So it's trying to C w btm, NBC 13 in Birmingham.
Uh, this this matchup go next one more year and his daughter is a sop****re now.
Set. Williams, You kind of talked about that connection.
They've had their ups and downs, But last week you saw that game.
They came back at the end of one.
How important is it to make sure that doesn't happen against you guys? Because, like, that's the number one guy.
Yeah, well, you know Yeah, I have to North, That's that all the time is a big tall receiving.
You know, we have some good corners.
That's why you come to l A shoot.
You play your league, so you know you can't always double them.
You have to win some one on one matchups.
They're gonna win something we're gonna win.
So yeah, Coach JaMarcus Fitzpatrick with Ko being alexandria alongside there is Marshall.
You have ah, receiver injury, GKN who's right now averaging like 18 yards per catch.
Just talk about how big it is to have a receiver like that's a compliment.
Tears with planning.
What? No question.
Hey, has done a tremendous job.
Hey, is one of our most improved football players? Hey, has come here and done a tremendous job.
I'm so happy about what he's doing and I think we need to get him the ball more.
I know he represents Alexandra and don't represent that area.
He's very proud of the great young man and I'm happy for Yeah.
This is Shea Dixon with 24 7.
Obviously, Finley praised Ensminger in the game plan after the game, but he also gave some credit to Russ Callaway, for kind of prepping him for with the defense would throw at him and things like that.
How big has he been for the development of Miles and guys? Now, here's what happened with Russ.
He's an ****yst and he can't coach any of the players, but he does.
He does prepare all the stuff for Coach Ensminger, he prepares, uh, Chen Ziming is the one that does it.
So Russia is in the background because the defenders job is great.
Your coach it what's the status of their Rosenthal right now? But there is, ah, suspended from the team, and definitely I don't know when he's gonna be back.
Hey, Coach, added New Orleans.
How's everything going? Good, man.
Way here that there's a chance that Miles might return.
You can update us on that, and one of the things you think that it was necessary to make a renewed a running game based on what we owe 90 day difference, we have to run the football, especially on first down.
And I thought I'll offensive line had the best game.
That's helping pave the way for TJ success.
We couldn't put it on their shoulders.
Miles is gonna practice a little bit today.
Jack is gonna get him accelerated throughout the week. We're gonna see.
I don't know yet.
If he's gonna play, he may play it all.
Depends how practice goes this week.
You know, we're going to do about 25% with him today.
See what he can do.
Feel it is probably gonna be sore.
See, I go throughout the week if you can't play.
J has done a great job for us.
I'm not putting them in unless you're 100% ready.
Brooks coming in from the advocate.
Kind of following up on that, His family kind of the role there for this week.
I guess if he's miles can't go.
And secondly, like, you know, third down Seems like you guys, you know, made those adjustments.
What? What kind of you? See that help you guys.
You know, they played a lot of man coverage for US coach Lend a hand.
Had a great plan.
I thought t J did a tremendous job of delivering the football on time.
He told you he has a cannon foot arm.
With TJ's poise, you look like a veteran out there.
I think that's what made the difference in the football game.
We're gonna go ahead and practice miles today, see what he could do.
Him and TJ gonna share reps.
And Max, uh, we're gonna make a decision on a daily basis.
Who runs with the first thing? Depends on Miles is his health.
His miles is healthy.
He's our first team quarterback.
But I'm not putting them in unless you're 100%.
And Coach three Andrews from L s U Tiger TV performances this past week from T.
Finley, BJ Hillary and Lives Ricks.
They're all true freshman, which is really impressive.
How impressed are you with their performances and where do you really see their future going? Team? Thank you for mentioning that.
That's something that we pride ourselves here.
We told our freshman guys they're recording.
I don't care if you're a freshman sop****re junior senior.
The best guy played and those guys have developed those a great young man, great job recruiting them.
And also Eric Gilbert.
You look at the job that he's doing so WeII selling that our recruits.
If you wanna play as a freshman and you wanna have success, come tell us you.
But I got to give credit.
Our coaching staff.
They've done a tremendous young job of preparing these young men get ready to play.
And obviously it's no secret with terrorist marshals doing so far this year.
But I guess just kind of I mean, how have you seen him from, you know, uninjured freshman, You know, the last three years, kind of.
You know what he is? He's turning a team leader.
Hey, came to my office last week because he's gonna be a starting quarterback man, you know, I want to know.
I don't know what it is.
That's all of my feelings and how his field bill, right down the middle, I said, Hey, let's see this week and let's pick it He came in office Thursday morning.
We talked about it, so he's become a team leader.
He's a good young man, but Now he's now He's the leader, you know.
He was in the background a little bit, you know, kept quiet and kept on.
I think the big thing with Terrorist was to get healthy, and now he's healthy.
He's confident he wants the ball, man.
He comes off that field cause I want that ball.
So you you want that all receiver? So he's very confident right now and healthy, Thank you.
It s obviously what they're now going.
You kind of expect that to be 10 wires, job moving forward.
And I guess it's kind of what have you seen from him in these last couple weeks? I'm very impressed with camp way.
We recruited Camby.
He was probably about 2 72 80.
We knew he gained weight, but he had quick feet.
He's got better and better and better.
He's playing pretty well right now, so yeah, cameras.
I'll start enough tackle.
He's banged up a little bit.
Also, he's got to stay healthy.
And then if Cam couldn't go, we'd have to put in.
Charles Turner would be our second team left tackle coach along those lines of offensive front 54 rushes things past week is that something that if TJ has to go again this week, that's something you want to use.
The kind of relax him there to kind of open up the run game.
Yeah, and most of them split the run or Peel was tagged with and you know the good thing about T.
He's 66 and he sees it really easy, man.
He could see that slapped behind him.
It's all built in.
But if they give us, if they give us a box where we could run the football, we want to run the football, we have to going into season.
I thought the backs were gonna be a strength of our offense.
Hey, coaches as well, William with Tiger Rag magazine.
You write off a lot of positive that you saw from TJ Saturday when you looked at film Sunday and you saw the effort he gave on the intercept.
Help Get that guy down.
Say may be safe to touch down into the three points three point field goal, but just e don't just something you could coach the kid who had that kind of effort after a bad play.
Thank you for mentioning that, you know, he has some firing him and he was fired up. He was on the sideline.
And vocal leader.
And a lot of things that Joe didn't be honest with you and he showed some tough things.
I gotta work on this tackling a little bit.
He gave kind of a shoulder tackle, but I love his effort.
And you know what? T J T. J came a lot.
It was his night.
He'd been confident all week has been confidence since he came here.
Not ****y, but confident.
And we love that about.
And, you know, the knock on L s U for so long was that they couldn't develop quarterbacks.
Was there really more of a matter of running what they run in high school you're talking about? Is that why we're seeing freshmen have success across the country? And now here? Yeah, no question.
Run the spread offense.
I mean, that's the way to go.
Is here to stay this basketball on grass, Put athletes in space, let him make plays that the quarterback make decision, make the right reads thing that helps TJ's his left.
I mean, being 66 he sees over all those linemen he's got.
He's got a cannon front arm.
Hey, lost some weight.
He's that quick feet.
He studies football all the time.
He's a football junkie.
A coach at two questions.
First one, Um, do you see where it would maybe make sense? Thio Get not let Brennan play this week, so we'll have that extra week off and get ready for late in the season. No question.
If he's not a heart percent health and does any chance of injury, I'm not playing about T.
TJ Maxx will do a good job, but if he's healthy, we're gonna play them.
Okay, so the open week next week really doesn't have anything.
Todo just It's just a matter of matter if he's ready to play your A two point of the season.
We gotta do what was best toe win the football game, and I can't think about nothing after but meet Norman.
So whatever we could do whatever personnel we have to beat or burn, that's what we're gonna worry about.
And last question, um, couple of your really big plays in the game, you know, what's it sound like out there with just 25,000.
Do you notice it or just What is it? What's it? It sounds like a spring scrimmage.
Maybe, like, you know, spring scrimmage.
Spring game attendance.
And that There is some noise I gotta say, I gotta give our fans credit.
There was a lot more noise in the first game, but it's still never gonna be with 100.
2000 are hey Coach going back to terrorist Marshall for a second every game.
He's had two touchdowns.
At this point, what has been the biggest area of growth thinks year e think that learning all positions, we can put terrorists anywhere.
He knows the offense.
He feels confident and being healthy.
I think that's the biggest thing about that.
But the yards after years, he catches that slam and go through that touchdown and breaks those two tackles.
I think that's where you see them making a bunch of improvement.
He's always told he's a big target, has great hands, but yards after the catch has been a tremendous form this year that coach Derek Tones of Baton Rouge community Radio.
I have a couple of questions first off offensively talk about this game, and I think that's the first game.
Whether running game has just really been dominant.
And then secondly, defensively.
Talk about what you've been defensive line coach.
Just be those Lorries. Three sacks.
And I also like a bounce back.
Yeah, well, you know, when I worked with Jimmy Johnson, he told me one of his secrets.
Get great players, get great players and let him play.
And I think those guys that you mentioned a great football players tie.
I'm so glad to see Ty have success with a big, strong, agile running back.
Jon Emery has been one of the best back from the country, coming out both him and time.
They worked well together.
I met with Thai last week.
I promised he was gonna have the same amount of carries as John.
We're gonna be equal.
I thought the week on my mind to first team starters, So that worked out well.
You know, it's a four point of grade point average students.
Very smart, hard work of three sacks, 3.5 sacks.
But if you watch your sax, man, it's just relentless efforts so very, very proud of them.
Dimon has, as you know, is his first time, the first time going out there.
Hey, has some some improvement to make, But the good thing about the mornings, I know he will, because your morning jog from Channel nine.
Uh, Coach, the last time you went to Auburn, um, maybe the first, Really huge one of your career, right? They're highly ranked your big underdog, losing my double digits and kick at the end.
What do you remember about that day and your team coming from relief? What happened? What we wanted.
But you know what? It was a hot day.
We went with a great mindset.
Whatever it took with the win the game.
I remember at one point the game barbering that started running the football on us, and we have to fight back.
And remember that last drive stuff found Sullivan making that play.
And then when we put when we put our kicker out, their idea was going in the game.
It was just a tremendous feeling of feeling of relief.
You know, there's a lot of stuff going on.
People are talking this people talking that.
I think they're kind of, uh, quite things down a little bit for us.
Hey, Coach, this is Shea with 24 7.
You said you wanted a more aggressive, attacking style defense.
And right now, even in four games, you leave the SEC and sacks tackles for loss remarks and fumble recoveries.
What have you seen from? Yeah, I'm very pleased.
That is 243 men.
You know, you're not playing four techniques.
You got in Russian wide.
We got more athletic people in the fields Elstree football.
It's what? I grew up questions now.
And, you know, we did that in Miami.
We did that at USC.
It was just time to go back to it.
You know, all those categories being plus six, leading SCC and all that stuff.
But we're still two and two so, and we got to play better defense.
And there's no excuse for you, no offense to me and playing well.
The third down. I was disappointed to go along.
We got that fixed.
We got to get some stuff fixed on defense to get what we want to go.
Uh, if Finley had not played so well.
Would you be a little more rushed to try to get, uh, Miles back in? No question.
No question at all.
And I have a follow up.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
You know, I think your family would have played well, Max, when I went in, I think Max would've done fine.
You saw him? He he could do some things he could run.
He's smart, He can throw the football, so Yeah, but it does factor in that.
We don't have to rush my office.
We feel that T. J.
Maxx can do a great job.
Okay? My other question.
What was your reaction when Rick shot the Deuces? Is he aware that could have cost him? Could have negated the touchdown.
He was made aware about the head coach as soon as he got to the sideline and I wasn't very happy about.
And it all I can take in his helmet and celebrate with the crowd.
He could have got he could have costed starts down.
I don't think you're gonna see that again.
Now he's a young young kid.
We gotta coach him up on.
I'm gonna give him, uh I will give him a Mulligan on that one, but he ain't getting a Mulligan again.
Wrap up with Wilson.
Nothing on the subject to be like bricks.
Obviously want to correct that kind of behavior.
They're trying to stick, but now got three interceptions this season, just the kind of player that you all saw in recruiting.
The reason you really wanted to get him and how he developed since he got well, you know, that's what he did in high school.
I mean, he had picks and scoring touchdowns, and he was tremendous ball skills.
In the last records and seven years old, great family.
Hey came to camp at USC and that's all made the connection with him and his family at camp.
And we're so happy that it came all the way across the country and the player.
And I do believe that core Raymond has done a tremendous job with him playing corner.
There's some difficult decisions that he has to make At the beginning.
He wasn't able to make those decisions just because of experience and now he's getting better.
I think that you're gonna see a young man get better and better and better and be on the top corners in the nation.
E You mentioned a little bit about Marshall earlier with this.
Um, but, you know, just seeing how many ways you got him the ball, different routes that Iran sometimes like those goal on third down situation.
How multifarious can it be? How off, Mike Skillful can you be that you could use it in so many ways? You'll find yourself drawing up things from, like, first of all, you smart.
He's smart, He gets it. He knows football.
So, you know, it's not like you couldn't leave.
You need to leave him at one position, let him master that.
He knows the whole offense.
You probably could play quarterback, you know? He has awareness level.
He's very smooth.
So it doesn't help.
Yeah, it's like having three or four different receivers if we got one more. Yes.
Hey, Coach, this is Josh simply with Louisiana gridiron football.
Um, you mentioned that the offensive line was the M V p of this game.
How much? Uh, was reading room, actually being back in the lineup, um, advantage for you guys this week.
Big advantage and, you know, way ransom gap plays power play.
When we pulled the guard, that's a double team.
Were knocking people off the ball.
Will physical when you had to be physical.
We saw South Carolina out physical their opponents the last couple of weeks and then that big, big block that it had he pulled through this right was really good. Good to see him yesterday.
Make a difference.
It made a difference on the goal line when our our officer like we didn't.
So there's tremendous improvement.
Yeah, they got go. Tigers.
Coco with this week.
All right, Coach.
Coach, you're on once again.
He said, Look on that on that on the call.
Um, I'm gonna be honest with you.
You can't do stuff like that.
You have tow beam or recognize of those.
Because if you celebrate with the fans, guess what they're gonna They're gonna flag it every single time, so he's gonna have to learn.
Um, allies Ricks, he's gonna have to learn.
Excuse me, Eli Bricks.
He's gonna have to learn the hard way.
Because if you do stuff like that, sure, he's gonna give him a Mulligan for that But unfortunately, if he does it again hey, ain't gonna be too leaning on them.
So that's just some my take on it.
So let's go ahead and give you the let's go ahead and do the breakdown.
We'll go ahead and give you the film breakdown on Auburn Songer and put that employers and we'll go through these highlights.
So I'm gonna go through the first couple of highlights.
We're gonna go through the film so we get that up on the screen fire so we'll go through the film highlights three minutes and on the film highlights let's go through those first couple of highlights.
The signal puts the right foot into it were underway and since this one into the end zone and eight yards deep into the end zone.
So Ole Miss will have it first intent but really gets 12.
Okay, this is on once again.
This is on a shotgun formation Auburn Russian threes.
And they're gonna rush three and put their 12345678 men in the area.
So they're gonna rust three and put eight.
First down out to the 41 yard line will carry a good defensive play right here.
So this was a good on that run.
Play often came in and just absolutely stop that run place.
So that is concerned right there.
But the l S u offense is not to let that happen.
You have tow knock these, um, de Lyman's off the ball, and that's something right there.
You can't allow toe happen, So that was on 1st and 10.
And and he loses yardage back to the 35 coming up to make the stop.
Okay, this is on third and gold situation.
They'll corral one step drop what's to the end zone.
So nice little pick right there.
So that's one thing T j family and Max yachts cannot do its rodeos interception.
So that's something they have to be aware of because I'm gonna tell you, they had a nice little, um, defensive play in the end zone for the interception that was against the old miss.
Some offense frozen.
It's intercepted, intercepted in the back of the end zone by Roger McCrary.
And he brings it out.
Roger requires one of their players right there.
That's the guy you're gonna have to be aware of it all times is Roger Macquarie Tigers.
He's taken down at the to eso auburn.
Um Bo Nix Nix s so nice or run Play right here.
This is on first and 13th this young man right here Bigsby this guy that z how this makes people miss.
That's the concerns.
We're gonna have to be very vigilant.
We're gonna have toe come up with a game plan toe slow, Can't Bisbee down.
That was a good run.
Play right there on our 1st and 10 makes Another man missed.
He's across the 30 out to the 32 yard line and another Auburn first down 15 yards for tank.
So that was a good That was a 15 yard run right there.
Now this is on second and two.
Hey is in the backfield.
So Bixby's back in the backfield.
They have the wide receivers Thio stand mention his in drivers with to carry a big hole.
So this is another guy, that's that's Schreiber's.
Another guy right here. This is another guy.
We have to contain his Schreiber's because he could make some plays on those runs right there.
He can absolutely make plays 30 inside the 25 yard line, and he carries tacklers down to the 16 auburn in the Chick fil A Red zone.
Okay, Big becomes in once again.
This is on second and goal, tailback.
Eso big people Get that ball in for the touchdown.
This is on second and goal.
So that was a nice offensive line.
Penetration versus the old Miss defense.
So Bixby gets in the end zone.
So you have to be, um you have you have you have the one thing you have to do is try toe, make a shoestring tackle or make a or make a pivotal tackle.
Because if you don't make a pivotal attack on him, he will break those tackles right up the middle.
And he's in touch down.
Okay, this is on 33 situation, um, to the far side of the field, on third down, next to throw slant route.
Nice or slapped.
Right? Right there.
So you have to contain those slant routes on third and three.
So they're gonna throw those slant routes going into the on the 33 short.
So, Seth Williams, 30 yard line hurdles.
A man down to the 25 to the 20 pigs be flanks next to his left.
So Bixby will eso Knicks.
This is another guy. Both.
Next he takes that ball on first and goal there, get it in the end zone, go into the end zone on touched.
So that's why you have to contain both nix and in the flat because you don't contain both nicks in the flat.
He is gonna do those plays.
He's gonna do those plays every single time.
So the defense is gonna have to come up with something.
Yeah, numbered near the middle of the field to give Ole Miss Lily Snape is down.
They fake it. Say this is what they did.
This is a pretty good faith right here in the corner.
That was a pretty good penetration versus the, um, often defense.
So Ole Miss made a fake play, but but But it does.
But it ends up in a in a law.
So that's one thing you can if you're going to do a fake field goal, you have to be very consistent on those fake field goals and not let that occur.
Because that four from five turned up to be a no gainer right there.
Got taken down by Roger McCreary Bigsby Now Okay, big back in the backfield.
Old Mrs Pressure and three So they'll have four for 94 yards.
Knicks play action roles to his right.
Looks it downfield.
He has a man open.
Seth Williams has got it is he is, Except Well, that's another guy that the l s u Defense is gonna have toe be aware of at all times because he could catch the ball and the flat wherever you have two men, three men or whatever.
So you have to be very concerned.
You have toe make some plays, um, and tackle Seth Williams.
And now he's shy.
The goal line. He's down.
The one shivers flanks next to his left hands.
The ball to shivers.
But we'll get that ball in the insulin.
So cyber gets the handoff.
Nice Will run for a touchdown.
Right there from Shivers.
He's in touchdown Auburn.
Sean Shivers from one yard out.
More goes in motion to the far side of the field.
From the left, hash from the gun corral will roll.
That way you lose one Auburn defender does not.
So, like I said that that's why I said, you gotta be You gotta see, like T j pinion.
He's gonna have to run.
He's gonna have toe run, toe, toe loop those tackles.
Because that Ole Miss quarterback did not do just that.
Hey, just kind of alluded one time, but they got to him big time on that play that was on third and five.
So once again, family is gonna have to make the necessary adjustments.
I get past the second from the left.
Okay, this is for the left past, Mark.
So the ball was on the left past Mark on 3rd and 13 often just barely gets the playoff mix.
Sets up Now flush, he looks and he throws his nice pass play.
This is on 3rd and 13.
So he dumps it off on 3rd and 13 and he gets that first down fleet complete.
John saying will shake your So that's the concern right there.
You cannot allow these things toe happen, because if they he will throw those little short passes and that can end up a big play right there.
So we have to be more concerned.
Mawr Mawr vigilant on those plays because they could run our little short screenplays or maybe a little flat plays or whatever he has the first down inside the 20 now still goes in.
Okay, this is on 2nd and 10 so Knicks turns hands off.
I think that goes to Tank basically on that run.
So nice or run right there.
So you have toe be aware of his surroundings.
He's to the five.
Is he in? Touchdown? Auburn.
Take Bigsby from 18 yards out, so that was an 18 yard run.
But take this. Be right there.
That was a very big 18 yard run by tanks. Bigsby.
So you can't let him get those 18 yard um specials right there and Auburn regains the lead.
There's the snap.
He looks, he throws it up. The playoff.
So when I saw it catch by number 18 against two defenders, I said 45 30.
He's down the sideline.
Touchdown, Auburn Touchdown.
So several subway and I'm gonna tell you that that is a very good wide receiver.
He's got some world class speed.
I'm gonna tell you right now.
That's why the L S U defenders.
They're gonna have to be aware of where he goes at all time.
You're gonna have to have somebody cover him.
Because if you don't have cover him, guess what? He's gonna burn you in a in an instant, seconds to go.
Corral now steps up into the pocket, rolls to his right, wants to throw to the end zone, gets pressured.
He looks and he throws to the back of the end zone and it's intercepted.
Intercepted by the Tigers down the sideline.
He goes, So you get a so nice all interception right there.
So once again, I say, that's what.
Um, Auburn in that game made some significant place.
They absolutely made some significant place.
So we're gonna have to beam, or we're gonna have toe used the scratching versus, um, the Auburn Tigers.
So I'm looking at it this way.
If we could do the same thing that we did against South Carolina, I think we could win this game by maybe 10 points or greater.
But if we continue to do what we, um, screw up and stuff like that.
We're not gonna win this game.
So once again, this concludes the L s u preview.
Three organ tigers.
