Oh, yo, let's do it.
Let's do this Monday, not Monday morning.
Monday, 30 minutes after noon.
Keep McPherson coming to you from North Jersey Rep in the Dallas Cowboys.
How about them? Cowboys? This is the Monday episode of How about Him? This is the recap where I look at Sunday recap What I saw, what went down, go over my picks where I was wrong where I didn't see this coming upsets, uh, players fantasy, whatever in the league.
But today is the Monday eulogy pod that should have came last Monday.
But last Monday the Dallas Cowboys played the Cardinals on Monday night.
So I went into that game knowing we were gonna lose, but still had some optimism, thinking, Hey, this is Andy Dalton's first week under center with reps.
We might actually be able to compete against the Cardinals if Andy Dalton is the Red Rifle.
And now I didn't have any faith in it, really.
Back to back weeks, the Cowboys go into these games against the Cardinals and the Redskins as one point underdogs.
The spread flip flop from one point favorites toe one point underdogs.
It's a pickem, and honestly, I don't know why anyone thinks that the Cowboys are good.
This is not a good team.
It hasn't been a good team all year.
Hasn't been a good team in a little while.
But for some reason, Vegas always sets thes spreads in favor of Dallas, and Dallas is defeated this year against the spread.
So if I'm anyone out there betting and people ask me, Yo, yo, should I bet on your boys this week? Should I bet on your boys this week? And my answer to them is always no.
My answer to them is always, Uh, don't do that.
That's a waste of money you're gonna wish you didn't, like, always bet against Dallas.
They're gonna disappoint the Big D and Big D stands for big disappointment because the fans are big, delusional and the team is a big disaster.
America's team toe laugh at big disaster season over.
I might just leave that there.
I might just leave that there for the rest of this season because it's over the 2020 season, the first year of the Mike Mike McCarthy era is over.
But before we talk about the game yesterday before we go into why this season is over.
Let's look at the rest of the NFL.
I am actually pumped because now I can wear my goofy cowboy stuff on on Sundays and really just not care about the game.
I barely watched that game yesterday.
There's no point in watching it, but I'm able to enjoy the NFL.
Different players, different teams, my fantasy team, my parlays, betting on different odds.
And it was a wild week in the NFL.
Honestly, it was the best week in the NFL s so far.
We saw a lot of crazy things go on a lot of touchdowns scored and, uh, yeah, let's just run through the games real quick.
I'll go through my picks where I was wrong and you know, some storylines and some things that surprised me.
So first game in the one o'clock sleep, the Lions and the Falcons play in Atlanta, and the spread is plus one in favor of the Lions.
What the Lions go out and do they win by one.
But what a ridiculous game.
The Falcons blew it.
That should surprise no one.
The Falcons blew it once again.
Todd Gurley man, Todd Gurley is an interesting dude because Todd Todd famously scored a touchdown or famously didn't score a touchdown when his fantasy owners needed him to score a touchdown when he was with the Rams.
That made headlines.
I don't know why people talked about that so much, but Todd basically then said, I'm doing what's best for the team.
I'm not worried about fantasy football.
Fast forward to now, and he's a starting running back of the Atlanta Falcons and the Falcons have the game in hand.
They need to not give the ball back to Matt Stafford.
This guy accidentally scores, puts the ball in the end zone about two inches in the end zone.
Todd Todd, Todd That gives the lines the ball back with a little bit over a minute.
They come back score when the game.
Todd Gurley will be remembered for a guy that scored a touchdown by accident and a guy that didn't score a touchdown when his fantasy owners needed it.
I was right with that pick.
I took the lion's plus one.
They handle biz.
They got it done.
The next game, the Battle of Ohio Ohio, is for lovers, the Cincinnati Brown's verse or the Cincinnati Brown's I'm getting back with the Cincinnati Browns in the Cleveland Bangles.
The Cleveland Browns beat the Bengals, and it shouldn't have been this close, but I did say on the SportsCastr NFL news stream and on this stream that it was gonna be a close game.
Joe Burrow would compete.
I said I didn't know about that 3.5.
That four point spread.
I don't know if they're gonna beat them by more than a field goal. They did not.
I had question marks on that.
I did not take the Browns.
UH, they win 37 34.
They only win by three points.
Joe Burrow has 400 yards and three touchdowns.
He's legit as a legit rookie.
Q B comes and we'll talk about another rookie Q B soon, But that game was whack and they lose O B J on an interception.
I have Odell Beckham Jr and fantasy.
I knew not toe to pick him.
This year was a waste of a pick, but at least I got one game where he put up 40.
But Odell Beckham Jr gets hurt trying to make a tackle on the interception and tears his A C L.
We'll return to that later.
Steelers versus Titans.
Steelers versus Titans I was all over this one. I have Pittsburgh.
Pittsburgh was only a 1.
5 point favorite.
The score is closer than this game.
Actually was, um, the Steelers didn't score any points in the fourth quarter, but the game was in hand.
Brown is a beast.
He went all the way off for the Titans.
I told y'all Derrick Henry was not going to go off for 200 yards or breaking 90 yard run against the Steelers defense.
The Steelers? They're getting it done.
Big Ben, I think, is in control of this offense.
They're distributing the ball.
They're doing what they gotta do.
They got multiple receivers, multiple backs.
Uh, Steelers win this game by three and cover the spread to go on to six.
And oh, the only six and no team in the A. F. C.
And I saw a stat that, you know, there was like something.
There's a high probability that we see the Steelers in the championship.
Something about, you know, teams that goes six.
And oh, uh, this far in the season, and some other stat that says like those teams are likely to end up in the Super Bowl.
They're looking good there, looking like they might end up with a first round bye.
Berg goes back to the Super Bowl looking for seven.
That would be crazy, huh? Panthers and Saints? Okay, now this game was close to There's a lot of these three point games.
Right are less than three point games.
Thursday night, the Eagles won by a point.
The Lions won by a point.
The Browns won by a field goal.
The Steelers won by a field goal.
The Saints beat the Panthers by, ah, field goal.
The witching hour was wild yesterday.
It's coming down to the wire.
You don't know who's gonna win.
The Panthers just I don't know.
They're not all the way there yet.
They have some good players and they do some good things.
But they're not all the way there yet to compete with a A team like the things that you know lost two games this year.
But there are a complete team.
They're well coached team.
They get it done at home.
Not too much from that game.
Stood out to me.
That kid Calloway, I guess, did his thing.
But these guys need Mike Thomas.
Michael Thomas needs to play for the Saints next week.
I don't know what they're doing.
Um, next game Bills, Jets, Oh, Sam, Donald and the Jets that spread was 10 points.
And let's see where I'm at with my spreads.
I did take I think I did take the Saints.
I took the Panthers plus seven and I wrote in my notes.
Carolina will cover the seven, but the Saints will win.
There's a three point win they covered, so I was right there now Bills and Jets.
I did not bet anything on this one at all.
And I just didn't like this game because I knew some of the chatter around my area.
I'm in North Jersey.
I'm in Jets country.
Some of the chatter was that Sam Donald would be back and Denzel Mills was Memes is gonna play, and this is gonna be a stand up game for these guys, and who knows? It was a trap game for the Bills.
The Bills scored 18 points, all all fuel goals in MetLife Stadium.
And, UH, I don't know.
They didn't cover the 10 point spread.
It was a sloppy game for them.
They get it done, but they needed a better tune up before they go place.
Play the Patriots next week, which that's a huge game.
The Bills were five and two.
I think the Patriots air two and four, and the changing of the guard in that division could happen next week when the Bills play the Patriots.
So I didn't have that.
I didn't bet that I don't even have it in my notes.
What I took on that I knew I didn't want to take the Bills with that 10 points, and they didn't cover it. They didn't score one touchdown.
They scored all off the field goals.
I believe I'm pretty sure six in the second quarter, six in the third, six in the fourth, all field goals, field goals, field goals, field goals.
Um, the Packers.
I knew the Packers were gonna come back.
Aaron Rodgers was not gonna get embarrassed twice.
Aaron Rodgers was not gonna lose back to back games like that.
Uh, now we're getting to some larger margin of victory games.
The Texans don't have it.
You know, they had some late heroics to try and get back in that game.
But that game was over pretty quickly.
Oh, my glob Davante! Adams went off.
It ****es me off because last year on one of my fantasy teams, like a $250 league I was in, I took Aaron Rodgers and I took Davante Adams and I was like, these guys were gonna win me this league.
These guys were gonna go off this year.
Davante Adams was hurt.
He did not go off like that last year, all but seeing them do it this year.
I was like, Cool.
At least I got Aaron Rodgers on one of my fantasy teams.
I don't have Davante Adams, but he ate yesterday.
He bawled out 35 to 20.
That's a 15 point win for the Packers.
All right, Packers.
All right, we're gonna talk about the packers because I'm wearing this 2014 n f C East Champions Hoody.
Right for you, Cowboys fans that.
Remember what happened in 2014? You know when Dez caught it and we lost to the Packers in Green Bay one.
Mike McCarthy was coaching over there before he came.
Started coaching over here.
We'll talk about that.
We'll touch on that in a minute.
Buccaneers Raiders talking about margin of victory Talking about a game that was done pretty quickly talking about Tampa Bay.
Tom Brady, the Rich only get richer on my Sunday show.
I spoke about Antonio Brown joining the Tampa Bay Bucks.
Brady and Gronk tie the record for TDs by a duo.
I think Joe Montana and Jerry Rice held that Brady becomes the all time passing leader for touchdowns.
This guy's still doing it.
You gotta handle his respect.
And you gotta look at his former team in the Patriots and say, ****, they're not looking so good.
But Tom Brady's looking all right at five and two with the Bucks in the NFC, which is wide open, if you ask me, I think the NFC is wide open.
I know people are gonna lean towards the team that I haven't spoken about yet, But after what I saw last night, I think I think the NFC is wide open.
So the Raiders Ah, 500 ball club and I think that's what they are.
I've spoken on SportsCastr news, NFL streams and my own streams about how I believe in the Raiders.
How I think Jon Gruden finally does, you know, have a little bit of a team.
It's been four years now that he's been in Oakland on his 10 year deal.
He's got the guys that he picked, but they haven't put it all the way together yet.
They weren't ableto hold Tom Brady and Mike Evans and Godwin and Cheese Man when they get Antonio Brown in that offense, Ronald Jones, Leonard for net like they're gonna have, ah, potent offense and their defense is very good.
They don't get enough credit for how good that defense is.
Scotty Miller like if Scotty Miller is catching six passes for 109 yards and a touchdown, what do you think a B is going to do? What Tom Brady? Tom Brady had four touchdowns, 369 yards.
Tom Brady is about to be 44 years old.
Crazy margin of victory large.
The Chiefs blow out the Broncos all the way.
They were talking about a snow game and all this other stuff.
Levian Bells First game.
The Broncos coming off beating the Patriots.
I said it didn't matter.
I'm like, Take the Chiefs All they take the Chiefs alternate spread.
If you took the Chiefs alternate, spread the win by 25 points like you would have cashed out.
Uh, they do what they do so well.
You're not stopping the homes.
They had 24 points in the first half.
Levian Bell got going a little bit.
I hope they go back to him, but ch Clyde Edwards Hilaire.
He is the starter.
He's the number one pick for them.
He's a guy that's been doing it.
Ian Bell will supplement what he does.
But Younger guy, Faster guy shift.
Edward Teller is the guy in Kansas City in that backfield.
Larger margins of victory.
Talking about the Patriots, man, I don't know what they're going to do over there.
They didn't score one touchdown.
They had two field goals.
That's all they could manage.
The Patriots lose 33 to 6 in Foxboro to the 40 Niners, who I honestly didn't think they would lose.
So I think the Patriots have dropped three straight games.
I didn't see Bill Belichick and Cam Newton losing two games like this at home.
It's a sign of the times.
Uh, Jimmy Garoppolo was fired up.
You could tell he had something to prove going back to his old stomping grounds and something to prove after last week, getting benched.
And, you know, his ankle wasn't good, I guess.
Another week off rehab on that ankle.
Another week of you know, reps.
Um got Jimmy ready to go.
He threw two picks, but I think Cam Newton threw four picks.
Let me look at this box score. It was messy.
Uh, my fiance is a Patriots fan, so we watched a little bit of that game and it just looks bad.
It looked really bad.
Cam Newton threw three picks, got benched for Jarrett Stidham, who comes in and throws a pick.
So that's four picks for the Patriots.
Two picks for Jimmy Garoppolo.
A total of six interceptions in that game.
That's like you don't even see that in high school.
I don't know where you see that.
You don't see that.
You see that might maybe, maybe in a big 12 game, you'll see that, um, for New England, they had 123456789 10 11.
Different receivers touched the ball.
They also fumbled the ball twice.
So we're talking about turnovers in this game.
There were eight turnovers in this game.
Six of them went, uh, to the Patriots.
This is not the Patriot way.
This is not do your job.
Uh, in my opinion, these guys might as well join the tank a thon.
There's a handful of teams tanking.
There's a handful of teams are definitely about to just bottom out. 2020.
Season over like your Dallas Cowboys.
But back to the scores.
Back to the games, the Jaguars and the Chargers.
I was completely wrong about this game.
I did not think Justin Herbert would get his first win.
I didn't think he would be able to pull it off, but he did, and they cover that spread.
What with threw me off was like man.
This is Ah, team with a rookie quarterback that hasn't won a game in there predicting them to win by eight points.
I couldn't go with it. I had to go against it. I took the Jags.
The Jags had it most of that **** game.
They had it, man.
I had a couple of parlays That would have been nice, because with the points you could take the Jaguars plus three plus four plus five.
I would have to take the Jaguars plus 11 for them. Toe clear.
There would have been any money there.
The Jaguars aren't good.
Um, there one and six.
They lose by 10 points.
Congrats to Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles superchargers.
You've got your guy.
You've got your quarterback of the future.
Um, another rookie doing it.
You got Joe Burrow.
You got Justin Herbert.
And I think pretty soon we're gonna see to a tug of biola.
It's definitely to a time we know we're gonna see it, but I mean, pretty soon, I think we're going to see him making plays in the NFL, and we're gonna see that he could do it to those three guys taken in the top six picks.
The changing of the guard is a shifting.
You guys like Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Ben Rob this burger.
You gotta get out. You 40 and over.
There's some young talent at quarterback in this league.
And speaking of young talent at quarterback in this league, Kyler Murray, Kyler Murray.
He's short, He is small.
That little guy is a beast and he plays bigger than he is.
And he's got the respect of his teammates.
I'm really becoming a fan of Kyler.
I don't know like, you know, if you guys follow me or if you guys watch my SportsCastr stuff and my stuff on Twitter, I'm a baseball fan.
I'm a Yankee fan.
I was in the MLB fan cave.
I've watched baseball my whole life as well as football, basketball and this matchup.
Last night, ESPN did a little preview on it, and they talked about how Kyler Murray could have been a center fielder in Major League Baseball.
How Russell Wilson could have been a second baseball second baseman playing baseball right now.
His contract that he has eyes, actually, with the Yankees.
You might well see my my Jeter stuff right there.
So Russell Wilson comes to spring training, takes, um, ground balls. Takes, um, BP.
I actually saw Russell Wilson last spring taking a bat in a real game, which was awesome.
So he still got it.
He still does it.
And, uh, I thought he had it last night.
That game went after midnight.
It went late, went the O.
Ah, lot of points scored.
Ah, closer margin of victory here.
Another game won by a field goal. Three points.
But Kyler Murray pulls it off.
I'm a believer in the Cardinals, not because of what they did against Dallas.
I knew they were gonna do that against Dallas.
The Dallas defense versus that offense had no shot.
But they're five and two now, and they're starting to hit a stride.
Uh, it's unfortunate.
Kenyan Drake just dropped because he was starting to hit a stride.
You're gonna need to running backs.
But, you know, the, uh, that other guy chase Edmunds, He's a beast.
I love his running style.
I saw 11 run he had.
It was his long run of 32 yards where he kind of, you know, it was going north and south.
And then he just boom stuck his foot in the ground, headed to the sideline and turned it up.
Got himself some extra yards.
I'm like, That's how you were on the ball, man. Hash number.
Hopkins goes off 10 catches for 103 yards and a touchdown.
What an acquisition that was to get Kyler, Murray and number one receiver. Amazing.
And, um, yeah, Kyler.
Murray carries the ball 14 times for 67 yards. One touchdown.
You cannot stop this kid.
He's a cheat code.
You think you've got them dead to rights.
You think that you've got the receivers covered? You think you've got him sacked and he will squeak out and run for a first down.
He throws the ball 48 times.
300 60 yards, three touchdowns, one pick.
But at home, the Cardinals win it late, and that was a riveting game right after the World Series ended.
You had that game finishing.
Like I said this week.
Waas The most entertaining week in the NFL Now, unfortunately, unfortunately, with all the story lines, you know, the Pats are struggling And, uh, you know Todd Gurley and his accidental touchdown after he scored a touchdown.
And, you know, I just spoke on the back to back prime time performances by the Cardinals.
The Cardinals were putting America on notice that they are a legit power on offense.
And that defense is coming along to Isaiah Simmons, who I saw Isaiah Simmons make that play last night.
That pick last night and my first thought was Thank God the Giants didn't draft him.
The Giants drafted Andrew Thomas instead, but they could have used a guy like Isaiah Simmons.
And I did not want to see him in our division because that kid is gonna be a beast and we're losing beast left and right.
This year, it's tough.
I spoke on Kenyan Drake Kenyan Drake had an M R I for his sprained ankle.
He's gonna be out for a little bit.
Chris Carson had an injury a couple weeks ago against the Cowboys.
He's been fighting.
He had a memory for his sprained foot yesterday.
Dede Westbrook tears his a c L Odell Beckham Jr tears his a c l like I said, trying to tackle someone on a pick.
Landon Collins, a c A.
Not a c l Landon Collins has an Achilles injury he's done for the season.
You already got guys like Sequana out for the season, Dak out for the season.
This is the worst season for injuries ever, but it fits this 2020 disaster Movie sports imitate life.
What we're seeing across the NFL.
There's a lot of guys trying to just figure it out and pick it up.
Push through this co vid season with the with the restrictions and requirements on that, we're seeing teams like the Titans getting fined 350,000.
The Raiders got to go into a game after learning about their offensive lineman.
Was it Trent Brown getting co vid and, uh, not wearing his tracking device? And then they got a quarantine, the whole offensive line teams air pushing through and the Dallas Cowboys air pushing through in the worst set of cir***stances that we could have expected in year one.
Uh, in this game we saw Andy Dalton take a late hit.
A blatant dirty hit.
Ah, helmet to helmet hit by Jon Bostic in the act of sliding, he was clearly going down, clearly sliding down.
Doom takes a helmet, the helmet to hit, helmet to helmet hit hit directly to the head of a quarterback.
He ends up getting ejected.
But you know what? I was dejected because of a couple things.
I knew that we were down to third string quarterback Ben DeNucci.
Ben DeNucci played football at the school that I signed my letter of intent to James Madison University in Virginia.
I, too, played quarterback, wasn't anywhere Near is good has been DeNucci.
But I was on the roster at James Madison University for two seasons before transferring the mom of University.
So what I'm saying is, I understand the level of football that is being played at James Madison University.
I also follow James Madison University football not so closely, but closely enough from afar to know that Ben DeNucci, in the last two seasons, got to the national championship with James Madison and lost part of the game for them in the last two national championships.
If you go back and look.
Ben DeNucci has the ball in his hands with the chance to win the game back to back years.
He throws picks back to back years.
He throws interceptions to end those games.
And guess what team James Madison was playing for.
Anybody in the chat? Or anybody that doesn't know this information that I'm sharing with you.
James Madison lost back to back national championships to North to go to ST What quarterback are the Dallas Cowboys facing this upcoming Sunday that went to North Dakota State? Carson Wentz? So we will get a matchup on Sunday Night Football, which I'm hoping they flex that game because there's no way America should be subject toe watching.
Our third string rookie quarterback, Ben DeNucci, play against Carson once in the Eagles, but we're going to get a rematch and North Dakota State's gonna win again, but we're gonna get another rematch.
JMU versus North Dakota State quarterback Ben DeNucci from James Madison University is gonna go play against Carson Wentz from North Dakota State University. 2020.
Bizarro world continues.
I don't know how we end up in this situation, but here we are, and it seems like no one cared.
I'm reading Cowboys Twitter.
I'm reading the journalist.
I'm reading the bloggers.
I'm reading the podcasters.
I'm reading ****ysts, and the theme that I'm seeing is that the Cowboys don't care.
This team does not care.
How much can you care where your cowboy stuff and laugh it off? This is bad.
When Andy Dalton went down yesterday when Andy Dalton took that late hit when Andy Dalton took that dirty, cheap shot from John Bostick, somebody should have been in John Bostick's face.
Somebody should have started something.
But in a red, ah, wet, rainy Landover, Maryland, you could tell those guys didn't wanna be there.
They wanted to get out of there.
Nobody was fired up and one Mike McCarthy.
Call them out on that Now.
It's not good in Jerry World, folks, I told you, you know the connection between the Cowboys When we got Mike McCarthy, I said, Great, Great.
This is a guy with a Super Bowl.
This is a guy that knows how to beat us.
He beat us in 2016 as well, but that was in Jerry World when Aaron Rodgers hit Jared Cook in the last seconds to set up the game winning field goal, but in 2014 they beat us because Dez didn't catch it.
But he did catch because the NFL came out two years later to say it was a catch. We were robbed.
Mike McCarthy has had.
Hello, Look, Mike McCarthy has had Aaron Rodgers.
Mike McCarthy has had a way different experience coaching for the Green Bay Packers, which start which are owned by Green Bay.
They're owned by the city, the fans of people he's never been in a situation like he's in now with Jerry Jones, the Dallas Cowboys, the richest franchise in the NFL.
All the hype and expectations so way different ball game.
And he's got to figure it out fast Mike Knowledge to be fired, and they got to make some changes quickly, or this season is literally over.
Like start thinking about the draft like I don't think we can get another win against anyone on the schedule with Ben DeNucci, our third string quarterback, a rookie and this defense the way it is, and that's gonna fall on Mike McCarthy.
I'm done making excuses for Mike McCarthy saying, Oh, well, he didn't get enough time in this pandemic to talk to the guys.
He was stuck on Zoom because of coronavirus.
He didn't get a fair preseason.
No one got a fair preseason.
None of these teams got to do what they really wanted to do to prepare for 2020.
And here we are with a bunch of guys that looked like they don't care, look like they just don't want to be there.
And this is the Dallas Cowboys.
This is the number one franchise in the NFL.
This is supposed to be a team that people were saying, We're going 12 and four and all this other stuff.
I told you guys as soon as we lost jacket was over, man.
It was over, man.
And everyone is to blame.
Not just Mike McCarthy in this wack coaching staff that the rumors last week where all of these, you know, half of the players that were coming out saying, Uh oh, these players were cowards that spoke out about the team.
But yo, the fact that there are guys going to the media that say that the coaches a run prepared to say they don't know how to adjust, that they're not coaching well, like there's some roles in the group.
You guys gotta figure that out in there like it's gonna be very interesting for the Dallas Cowboys.
I wrote in my notes that, like what we're gonna see is a team with a bunch of guys that are individuals.
They're out there for their own individual reasons.
Are they trying to hit, uh, Marks in their individual contracts so that they get paid? Are they trying to get their stats up or they trying to just stay healthy, right? Pay attention to that as a Cowboys fan.
When you watch these games, we're not going anywhere with Dak.
We're not going anywhere with like, and I'm gonna talk about Zeke in a second, but we're not going anywhere with Andy Dalton.
Ben DeNucci That is a wrap.
It's over, but pay attention to who's trying to make tackles play.
Pay attention to who's still trying to make finish runs, make plays, do the extra to keep the team in it, pay attention to who's yelling, who's fired up.
Pay attention to who's quiet, who's just kind of going through the motions because there's a lot of guys on this team that are paid and are going through the motions.
And I don't want to say that these guys aren't doing enough because the DeMarcus Lawrence has has played better.
Jaylin Smith has not played better.
Late van duress has come right in and outplayed him.
Ezekiel Elliott sucks, but we paid the wrong guys.
So you got to take some blame for this.
You couldn't pay Dak Prescott.
But you paid the Marcus Lawrence.
You pay Jaylin Smith and you played Ezekiel Elliott.
And all of those guys have underplayed underperformed.
They're supposed to be leaders on this team.
This defense is all time bad and Ezekiel Elliott in a leadership role.
A $90 million running back is supposed to step up and say, Feed me, go through me and we can't rely on him.
He coughed the ball up where he he looks like he's running in quicksand.
He does not have that same hop or giddy up or step to shake a guy, break a tackle and make a run anymore.
We can't get him in the open space with this old line is old line is all whole.
Another thing it's in shambles.
Our worst offensive lineman last year was Connor Williams, and he's our best offensive lineman now outside of him.
Almost none of these guys on this offensive line were expected to be playing this much.
So if you're starting off in a game against the Redskins with an offensive line, that's that bad against their defensive line, which is amazing with a bunch of first rounders and just talented guys, you are not going to stand a chance.
You're not going to stand a chance.
So let's run through the box score quickly.
They crushed this in first downs.
This game was never a game.
I don't know why it was a one point spread or pick him 21 1st downs to 12.
Washington This is the Washington football team, formerly the Washington Dead Skins Cowboys lost to a football team, and it wasn't even close.
3 97 close to 400 yards for the Washington dead skins.
The Cowboys couldn't even break 100 and 50 yards.
This is, Ah, high powered offense.
Ah, Zeki Oh, Elliot Amari Cooper, another guy that got paid $100 million.
No, we know Amari Cooper runs great routes and he could make miraculously catches and all that.
But we paid the wrong guys.
That's why this thing is unraveling like this.
What other stats? Air glaring.
Passing 189 yards to 59 old. My.
I honestly think I could go out there and get 59 yards passing Ben DeNucci through two completions, and I think part of that was his.
But this is what I'm saying.
This team is out there going through the motions like these guys aren't even playing that game suck.
This division is trash.
The NFC leases trash the Eagles air to four and one in first place.
It won at one and six.
The Giants or last.
The Giants beat the Redskins last week, and if it wasn't for a ah botched two point conversion, they should be.
Oh, and seven Team sucks.
The division sucks.
I would enjoy the NFL as is, and pay zero attention toe what the Cowboys are doing because they should be thinking about losing out.
They should be thinking about tanking.
Yes, There's nothing Thio root for here.
You should be written for the draft.
I'm like I said, I'm watching these guys to find out who is who and what is what? Because we're not going anywhere with that. But that will be back.
That will be back.
And we have an off season to get right for 2021 we need to have soldiers and warriors around.
We can't have some of these guys on defense.
They can wash probably 70% of these defensive players if you ask me before next year.
This defense is trash.
Got to get rid of the weak links.
And this is where you find the weak links.
Like guys like Jordan Lewis.
I hate to call him out, but I watch his body language.
I watch his demeanor, this guy gets flagged and he's always What? What? Me? I didn't do it and he gets cooked and he xcx stupid out there like he wasn't the one getting burned.
You knew what you were doing, bro.
You know what you were doing? This team is not good.
We are the Jags.
I saw a tweet today that compared us to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
So let me read this tweet to you.
Coming from Mike Clay, Mike Clay writes.
Seven games into the season, the Cowboys have led on 4.1%.
That's 22 off 509 of their offensive snaps.
Only the Jaguars air worse at 3.
9 are pretty much the same.
We are as bad as the Jacksonville Jaguars, who came into this season talking about tanking for Trevor Lawrence.
****, we're not far behind them.
We're not far behind them people telling me this year.
Cowboys going 12 and four.
I told you all from the jump with data are Ceiling was 10 and 69 and seven winning this trash division.
But without Dak, we might not win another game.
We might not win another game, and I'll be fine with it because we should be picking in the top 10 maybe picking in the top five, And, uh, last time we picked in the top 10 top five.
Last time we were this bad.
I think we went four and 12 and we got the fourth overall pick and with the fourth overall pick, the Dallas Cowboys select Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott Z came in running hard.
Zeke Ezekiel Elliott was the best thing at that time because we had the offensive line.
We were just like, Wow! After DeMarco Murray was, you know, looking like an M v.
Then he goes and gets his money elsewhere.
We won't pay him, so we'll draft the running back.
We draft Ezekiel Elliott.
He's running behind Tyron Smith.
He's running behind Zack Martin.
We think Jackpot.
This guy is great, But then we end up paying him because he wanted to lock hold out, go to Cabo.
Last year, we end up giving him 90 mil because of Jerry Jones.
Jerry Jones wanted to handle that his way.
It's unfortunate people were chattering on Twitter.
People were saying on Twitter that the Cowboys, in that same draft, could've had Jalen Ramsey at four and then Derrick Henry in the second round where we took Layton.
Vander is where we took Jaylin Smith.
I think that came from data, not data that came from Dez.
I think Dez reportedly put out a tweet and then quickly deleted it, saying how the Cowboys could have got Jalen Ramsey that year and Derrick Henry.
We would have a shutdown corner, arguably the best corner in the league, and King Henry.
Derrick Henry, who is the best running back in the NFL.
I don't care what anyone says.
He's the best running back in the NFL.
Um, I wanted Jalen Ramsey that year.
I'm also a Florida State guy, him coming out of Florida State.
I knew what kind of dog he was.
And I knew what this defense and what kind of attitude Dallas needed on defense.
Because we have yet to find that attitude, that that defense of mentality where anyone is afraid no one is afraid of this Dallas defense.
They're going right at us.
So, uh huh, that's pretty much all I've got to say, and I will part with these words for you as I pull up the Dallas Cowboys remaining games.
The remaining schedule 2020 season is over.
Let people enjoy it.
This is America's team toe laugh at.
Let all the Cowboys haters live in this.
They gotta be loving this.
It's been a rough year for America.
Americans laugh at us.
America's team toe laugh at the Big D and Big D stands for big disaster.
And that's okay because we're going to get one of the best defensive players coming out of the draft next year.
And this is going to be a lesson to Jerry Jones and company about who they need to pay, what they need to do, where the priorities on this team and, most importantly, how valuable Dak Prescott is to this entire franchise.
So looking at the schedule coming up Oh, this game already got flexed.
UH, didn't get flex.
No, it didn't get Flex, but they should.
They should have flex this game.
8 20 November 1st this Sunday night Cowboys Eagles in Philly.
It's in a 20 game.
They should flex that game the one o'clock 4 25.
Get it over with.
Then we're playing the Steelers, who the Steelers are going to wash us in Jerry World.
Then we travel in Minnesota to play the Vikings.
Then Washington comes to Dallas on Thanksgiving.
All my stomach already hurts another miserable Thanksgiving being embarrassed by the Dallas Cowboys.
Then Thursday Night Football.
We go to Baltimore to play.
The Ravens were gonna get smoked.
Then Joe Burrow and the Bangles in Cincinnati late in the year.
They're going to go and get another win against us.
Then we got the 40 Niners.
That's an L on Eagle, the Eagles.
And then the last game of the season against the Giants, who haven't beat us in seven tries.
Yeah, they're gonna They're gonna beat us.
So there's nothing.
There's nothing to look forward to on the schedule.
I'm telling you guys now there's no way This team, as currently coached as currently constructed, can go out there and win these games.
There's some tough teams on the schedule.
We are going to face an M V P.
We're gonna face a Super Bowl team.
We're gonna face the number one draft pick, Heisman Trophy winning quarterback.
We're gonna We're gonna face this dealers who are probably going to still be undefeated in two weeks.
When we see them, it's not looking good.
It's not looking good.
So get the sad violin out, get some wine and, uh, what do they say? You need some crackers and cheese with that wine.
Yeah, I'm done whining about it because I'm just gonna be real about it.
This season is over.
I'm on the 2021 in football.
I'm on the 2021 in baseball.
I'm **** sure on the 2021 in basketball because they're saying that the MBA might start in 2020 for the 2021 season on Christmas.
I'm a Brooklyn Nets fan.
You see that? Be up there.
That's for the Nets.
At least we have sports which we don't really deserve in America.
But at least we have them to distract us.
As we're approaching the election, make sure you're registered to go vote.
I know everyone saying that, but there's still some people that have been.
So make sure you go do that.
It's important, and I won't tell you who to vote for.
But obviously I'm not voting for Donald Trump, okay? And that's a good way to end this one, you know, bringing it back home to the reality of things.
Uh, football and sports and games don't really matter.
We've got some more important issues at hand in 2020 as we proceed.
My name is Keith McPherson.
This has been How about him? This was a eulogy to the Dallas Cowboys. 2020.
Season is officially over.
They might not win another game, but I will be here every Monday.
