And welcome into the broadcast.
I'm Samuel Ray is coming to you live here on SportsCastr.
Siri's Game three in the best of seven now becomes the best of five as the Los Angeles Dodgers in the Tampa Bay Rays split the first two games of the Siri's from Global I Field in Arlington, Texas.
It's now a critical Game three, and it should be a fun wine.
A pitching duel is what it has the potential to be.
It's Charlie Morton against Walker Buehler.
You couldn't ask for much of a better pitching matchup than that tonight.
We should be in for a treat, folks as a neutral, anyway, and we're just about ready for the first pitch from Arlington.
Now I will be on the call for a little bit of the start.
I will be doing the all sports talk show in around 10 15 minutes or so, Um, and then after the all sports talk show ends, I'll start another broadcast with the conclusion of this game.
So that's how my schedule will be tonight.
And thank you, everyone for tuning in happy Friday.
Nothing better than Game three of the world Siris on this Friday night, and Charlie Morton is ready to go for the Tampa Bay Rays.
The roof is closed tonight, the first time it's been closed in this world.
Siri's and leading off for L.
A will be Mookie Betts as usual, and we're set to get things rocking and rolling.
The Dodgers took Game one by a score of 8 to 3, and then it was Tampa Bay bouncing back with a good game to win and with the roof closed.
This really changes the whole dynamic.
The temperature in the fifties low fifties.
The wind is definitely picking up outdoors, and there is rain in the forecast, so that that is why the roof is closed.
A pretty sensible decision, considering those reasons.
I just listed off and the ball has been flying really in this world.
Siri's with the roof open.
Now that it's closed and especially with two good pitchers on the mound tonight, I feel like this has potential to be a pitching duel in a very low scoring game.
Look at the Dodgers batting order.
Mookie Betts leads off.
Then it's Corey Seager, Justin Turner, Max Muncy, Will Smith Cody Bellinger, Chris Taylor, Jaak Peterson and Austin Barnes.
Charlie Morton has been phenomenal for Tampa Bay.
He's won his last seven postseason decisions with a 1.
Over that span, he's been nothing of spectacular as of late in the playoffs, and here is the first pitch of Game three, and it's down the line by bets.
But just foul, as Wendell was running onto it.
And so bets not afraid to attack right away.
No balls and a strike.
Well before the series started, we knew it had the potential to go the distance, and so far it's definitely been plenty entertaining.
Morton, 36 years old from Flemington, New Jersey, 6 ft 5 £215 of veteran in the league.
Here's the 01 from the Rays starter and that Mrs Outside even count to Mookie, who is two for seven in the world.
Siri's Ah, home run, an R B I two runs and a pair of stolen bases.
Thanks for joining the broadcast Pauline, and thats down for ball, too.
We saw two fastballs and then the slider from Morton down in the count after two consecutive balls thrown, and that's called Strike two.
Not too happy about the decision based on his facial expression on deck.
Corey Seager outside part of the plate by Morton Borderline call.
He got the benefit of the doubt.
Even count now to bets.
That's toe left center grounder Dom EZ across the diamond and G Man Choi with an unbelievably athletic play at first, pretty much doing a split to keep his back foot on the bag while also making the catch.
Adam EZ was leaning away from first base.
That's what made it hard because the momentum was bring him towards third.
He had to throw it across the diamond and G Man Choi just spreading out unnaturally almost to make the play.
That was unbelievable from G Man Choi, and that's a big reason why he is. They're starting.
First baseman Seeger comes up empty on a swing and a miss for the first pitch fastball upstairs.
You wouldn't by the look of Choi, you wouldn't think he was, you know, super athletic, But he sure is, and there's another fastball for strike 2 97 mile an hour pitch from Morton Seeger, two for six in this world Syriza home run, an R B I three walks and two runs and Seager takes that one outside for ball on.
Singer has had a good post season thus far.
There's no denying that.
Here's the 12 pitch coming, and that's inside.
Even count doing the catching tonight for Tampa Bay.
Mike Zunino on deck.
Justin Turner for our a extra day of rest For both of these teams, a rare off day in these 2020 playoffs.
There's been no off days except in between Siri's up to this point, and that's a pop up in a shallow left closing in.
On it is a Rose Arena, and there's the second out of the first inning look at the umpires.
The crew chief at home plate tonight.
Bill Miller at first, Marvin Hudson at second, Jerry meals at third, Mark Carlson in left field.
Its laws Diaz and in right field.
Todd Teesh, Noor.
The replay official.
That's your world.
Syriza umpiring crew.
Two up, two down for Charlie Morton.
And now here comes Justin Turner, who's two for eight in this Siri's two walks.
He's scored in the run and he takes ball on upstairs.
Well, the fastballs early from Morton, which is no surprise whatsoever.
And that's strike one inside corner, the Justin Turner.
Come here comes the 11 and that's a curveball in there for strike two top right corner, this time from Charlie Morton and a chance to end the inning here.
Last second, that ball just curved into the strike zone.
It looked like it was gonna hit Turner at first, and this is drove in a deep left field and it is gone.
Justin Turner, with a solo home run, and the Dodgers have taken the lead in the first inning, the second home run of the postseason for Justin Turner.
He got all of that one on the 12 pitch.
Sends it 397 ft.
Ah, 103 mile an hour exit velocity and the Dodgers take a one.
Nothing late right up the middle.
The fastball and Turner said, thank you very much.
That was driven into deep left field and out of here in the blink of an eye.
A bench, of course, absolutely loving it.
And so Los Angeles, on top of Tampa Bay that's fallen upstairs.
What looks well, In fact, Morton was one strike away from a 1 to 3 inning, and it looked like it was gonna be an easy first inning for the Rays starter.
But then came a swing out of nowhere from Justin Turner as that curveball is in there for strike one outside part of the plate.
Thank you, Sarah, for joining the broadcast.
Max Muncy at the plate. Two for seven.
He does have two R b.
I won one pitch coming and their strike two.
Once again, we see that four man outfield from Tampa Bay and they're leaving the whole left side.
Open all three of their infielders now to the right of second base.
That's inside ball to that.
Evens the count to Max Muncy.
Thanks, David, for also joining the broadcast.
By the way, to to up the middle, it hops off the foot of Charlie Morton and months he is going to reach first safely.
A bit of luck there for Max months.
You no doubt about it, but he's on base and the inning not done yet.
Yeah, that just took a strange hop off the right leg of Charlie Morton and it redirected towards third base, which didn't help out Morton's cause.
Some months he is on and Will Smith is up.
Smith, the D H Tonight Swing and a Miss Strike one.
Los Angeles leading Tampa Bay Game three off the 2020 World.
Siri's On this Friday night from Arlington, Texas.
The roof closed the 01 and that's Ah, fastball for strike two.
No balls, two strikes and he got him.
Three pitch strike out, but damage done.
Already here in the top of the first, we've had a home run.
It doesn't matter that the roof is closed.
Justin Turner goes yard a solo shot to left field one. Nothing.
The Dodgers on top here on SportsCastr.
The action continues right after the break, bottom of the first.
Next Hello, everybody.
And welcome back in Thanks Karam for hopping, and I will have to end the broadcast folks right now because I do have the all sports talk show to get Thio, which will be right here on my channel as well.
So make sure you tune into that, and then when the all sports talk show ends, I'll be back for the rest of this game.
So that is your programming update.
Sorry for a bit of inconvenience, but I'll be on the all sports talk show any minute.
So tune into that.
I appreciate it.
And then my coverage for Game three, the world Siri's will continue after the show.
Thank you very much for stopping by for the top of the first inning.
