Hey, what's going on, everybody? It's Sunday morning.
And here in North America, that means two things church in football.
Because we're all here and you're watching.
I assume none of us are in church.
Ladies and gentlemen, the NFL is giving us 11 early games.
A Sunday night football game, too.
Monday Night football games and for the first time in a wild granted some sort of disaster.
Next three hours.
No Tuesday night game.
This week, fellas.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is the SportsCastr news NFL Sunday pregame show.
My name is Ray on Dimas. Always.
I'm with my boys, Lawrence, Joe and Keith.
Fellas, how you doing today? Chilling man? Ready to talk some football? Let's go on.
We got a lot of games to get through.
We always fall behind.
So I say we get right into it.
First game of the our first Fathers.
Four teams we won't see today who are gonna get actual by weeks, not co vid weeks and not, you know, different by weeks, their planned by weeks, we won't see the Las Vegas Raiders, the L A Chargers, the New Orleans Saints or the Seattle Seahawks, who are all actually going to spend their bye week not practicing and doing what they do on bye weeks.
Well, let's get into the first game of the day and that's gonna be the Denver Broncos.
Withdrew Lock returning to take on the New England Patriots with Cam Newton returning a much better matchup than I think we're gonna get last week.
Anyhow, Keith will start with you.
What do you thinking for this game? Scam? New and scam.
Newton his back.
I think they're gonna give him the ball.
Let let him run it.
Let him throw it.
It's his world. Drew Lock is back.
Um, I'm not expecting much out of him returning.
And that that Denver team, I don't think they'll have it together.
I think the Patriots defense will dominate Patriots Big Cam Newton return party.
All right, Lawrence.
Well, I'm sitting here going over some of the things, and I like the idea of Cam Newton returning, but we also got to remember.
I mean, New England's got the number two rushing offense in the NFL.
Holy crap, that's That's impressive.
That's just straight up. Impressive.
But the Broncos they got a pretty good They got a pretty good passing defense, too.
So I think that, uh, we'll see.
We'll see because New England doesn't pass the ball very well, but they run the ball very well.
And Denver does not seem to get to the quarterback very well with Von Miller out.
So I'm still thinking that New England should still pull this off as long as they run the football.
Drew lock or not, it's all the same to me.
I have the Patriots winning big.
You guys know I was never big on Drew lock even before the season.
Man, I didn't I really don't think he makes a difference.
Much of a difference, at least.
You know, he's still a young quarterback going to face New England in New England at Freaking Foxboro.
Yeah, this is gonna be a blowout, in my opinion. Cam Newton.
No, Melvin Gordon today.
He has an illness.
Um, is it a part of cove? It Is it a hangover? Who knows, Or is this just Denver Not wanting to say this is disciplinary action for getting nailed with a D.
I um, Look, I know Lawrence.
You say Cam Newton or not, but I watched Brian Hoyer and Jared Stidham play against the Kansas City Chiefs.
No, this is a big deal, and they can't move the football.
They put up 397 yards against the Seattle Seahawks, so if they need to throw, they can throw the football.
I do have the Patriots winning this game.
I think they're the better team.
It's not my home or is, um, I really do think they're the better team.
I actually had them winning of Jarrett.
Stidham started the game, and we all saw the disaster in Kansas City.
So with Cam Newton back, Absolutely, I agree with Keith. It's gonna be his show.
And, yeah, Drew locker.
No Drew lock. I got the Patriots as well.
Don't forget, Phillip.
Lindsay is coming back this game, too, though I feel like Lindsay's a flash in the pan, bro.
To be honest, he had a good rookie season and then kind of fell off, to be honest.
Well, and it's funny you say that because I don't I keep thinking he can bounce back, but a part of me has always wanted to like, Why do you bring Melvin Gordon if you have Phillip Lindsay, like you didn't need a premier back.
When you're supposed to have a premier back, you're supposed to bring in supporting backs for him, right? So maybe you're right, all right, so when we look at the next game here, this is a bit of an interesting game.
You got the Chicago Bears versus the Carolina Panthers, and, you know, I think Carolina Injuries has been a big issue for them this year.
But I also think that Chicago is playing way over their head of what their record indicates.
Carolina is actually the favorite for this game.
I think they're a point and a half favorite, and I agree with that.
I think that Caroline is actually a better team than the record indicates.
I believe in Teddy Bridgewater.
I'm actually taking Carolina to win this game over the Chicago Bears.
Keith, I'll move to you next.
Out of all the games this week, this is the one I keep flip flopping on.
It's it's too tough to call, and I guess that's why it's only a one point, you know, kind of a pickup game.
I think the Panthers keep it going, though the Panthers have shown me they're better than they're getting credit for.
And they don't need Christian McCaffrey necessarily to be the superstar.
Their team is getting it done.
I like what Teddy Bridgewater and Robby Anderson are developing on that defense.
You know, this defense has a bunch of new guys on it.
They drafted all defense.
I've just started giving more credit to Matt Rule.
I don't think that bears offenses there.
Obviously, Khalil Mack and that defense can create some issues for Teddy.
But I'm going panthers in this one at home.
They keep rolling.
All right. Lawrence will go to you.
Well, one thing that I am worried about when you're picking the Carolina Panthers, we've talked about how the Bears have had their struggles offensively rushing the football this season.
Carolina is allowing 5.
4 yards per carry.
Um, uh, this could be a game where Chicago could actually come out here and run the football and play their traditional defense.
I like this to be a low scoring game, and I actually have the Chicago winning this one.
All right, Joel, give you last word on this.
I'm gonna actually Oh, sorry.
Did you go already at Ray? Yeah, I started. Okay. Okay.
I think I'm gonna have to agree with Lawrence here.
Um, I have, you know, the Panthers have burned me because I picked them to lose three times in a row, and they've won all three times in a row, so I don't feel good about picking against them again.
But I'm going to just because, like, Lawrence said, they can run the ball.
You know, Khalil, Mack is starting to get into the quarterbacks faces again.
You love to see that? Um, yeah.
I'm gonna pick the Bears.
They just find ways to win.
Man, what do you want me to tell you? You know, so yeah, and I think this was really a pick up game.
I'm like, Keith.
I was flip flopping as well.
I really studied.
I went to I turned ****ytics for this game and really turned ****ytics.
And that's what lead me towards Carolina.
Another game that's not so interesting is the Cincinnati Bengals versus Indianapolis Colts.
Even though some people may think it's interesting, Joe, I'll give you first word on this.
Who you taking this game? Indy bounce back after a little bit of an embarrassment.
You are, you know, essentially get their first game or their second one of the year.
I think the Colts do have a bounce back game here.
Um, there obviously the better roster than the Bengals.
I think that Joe Burrow is gonna struggle mightily against this Colts defense.
Um, I just the thing about the Colts defense, man, they're solid there, really good.
But you guys got a beam or physical, dude, like I want to see more aggression.
You know what I mean? Maybe that's just me, because I'm a Ravens fan and that's what I expect.
But, like, let's see more blitzes like Stop playing zone so much, let's man up and let's just, you know, beat the man next to you.
I don't know, but we'll see.
I think the Colts should be able to fix this one.
You know, we saw what the Ravens did.
We don't have a good pass rush, and we got seven *** on the Bengals last week on Burrows, So you guys should be ableto succeed there.
I have the Colts winning.
Yeah, I think the Indianapolis Colts are a much better team in the Cincinnati Bengals, and I think that they should take care of business pretty good.
I mean, Cincinnati's in a little bit of a mess right now.
Green telling them, Just trade me right on the sidelines.
Which is, you know, of course, ignited New England trade talks again because we're going to trade for everybody and having all Star team by the end of the year.
Um, no, I think Andy's the better team I have to take into this game.
Yeah, I got to take the Colts, but that that's spread that 7.
5 spread its It's kind of scaring me.
I might take the Bangles plus seven because I think the Colts are a better team.
I think the Colts will win, but I don't know if they're gonna blow them out.
And the over under is low at 45 point, so they're not expecting too many points.
And Philip Rivers man, I said last week, Philip, just make the throws you gotta make.
I think I'll get it done this week and they'll bounce back there.
Still, uh, you know, they still got that that last week loss in their heads.
So give me the Colts. Give me the Colts.
Lawrence will give you final words, some injuries on the on the indie side of things.
And if you got a tight end has been ruled out.
Does that make a difference or to the Colts to take this game? Handedly, I mean, it does a little bit more.
Ali Cox is that break outside in the cold, have had this season, and he's out this game.
He's a great run blocker and the Bengals, Much to like I said about the Panthers suck defensively against the run.
2 yards to Carrie Johnson.
Taylor should have a great game on.
Yes, Joe, the Colts player zone defense.
It's kind of a soft defense, but they play that whole, allow the catch in front, then hit hard and make them wish they hadn't caught it right.
And that's where a lot of this has been coming from.
That's why they leave the NFL in interceptions with nine on the season.
So far, Joe Burrow loves when he throws deep, he overthrows his receivers and in his own defense, you can't do that I expect the course to come out of this handle winning this game now, Lawrence, if I could ask you.
You've been somewhat critical of Joe Burrow this year about his lack of taking deep shots, and you said that he loves taking those little 345 yard shots.
And if he throws 10 yards, I mean, it's a miracle.
Does the cold, soft zone defense not play right into Burrows wheelhouse this week? It does.
It does. So. It kind of makes me wonder.
Is Matt Deborah Phillips, the Colts defensive coordinator, going to make adjustments, walking into this game, thinking, You know what? Maybe we'll play a tighter zone.
Maybe we'll Plame or of a, uh, uh, cover three rather than a cover to and have more people up front.
Or, you know, maybe maybe go into a man more often. I don't know.
We'll see E u E.
Yeah, I would love to see him throw more blitzes in, but it broke loose.
Doesn't like to do it, doesn't that they're one of the least blitzing teams in the NFL, and I mean, well, see, I hope I hope I hope to see it, But with Darius Leonard out of this game.
I don't know. We will.
So we have a little bit of time cause we're going fast.
So can I ask you a follow up question on that? When you look at the Colts coaching staff? Because, Joe, you know Mike McCarthy does this a little bit.
Harbaugh and Belichick do this all the time.
It's it's a preparation for the team they're playing.
The game plan is based on who you're playing that day.
Um, that's why we've seen three different offenses with Cam Newton.
We've seen Newton run the ball.
We've seen a heavy run by the running backs and we've seen Cam Newton air the ball out for 400 yards.
We've seen the defense blitz.
We've seen the defense play zone on.
We see the same thing in Baltimore now.
The decisions aren't always right when they try to make those game plans.
We saw against Kansas City in Baltimore, which I still think was more coaching than execution from the players.
But they right mhm is the Indianapolis coaching staff, a little bit reluctant to game plan for the team they're playing and just want to stick with what they could Dio.
I think you're right on that.
I think the courts, uh, walk into every week.
Now they obviously, you know, they go through film and they look to see what the other team does well, and and how to counter that.
But I think that's more on ah, man, the man aspect rather than as a team aspect.
I think the Colts go into every game looking at the game going.
We're gonna force that team to play our game.
We're not going to adjust our game what that other team does.
So is that why you ran into trouble with Cleveland last week? Because they wouldn't allow you to play your game, and that completely just blew things up? I think, um, it had a couple couple aspect, um, one.
Obviously, you don't put the ah backup left tackle against Myles Garrett, who is obviously going, uh, making a run for defensive player of the year this year and not give him any help whatsoever, and that's what they did.
I mean, they put him on an island against one of the league's best pass rushers this year, so that that was dumb.
I think that was very, very stupid.
Brings into question.
Frank writes play calling and Philip Rivers making pass protection adjustments at the line of scrimmage.
So, um, just curious to see how how they react this week with Gino Akins and Carlos Dunlap.
So, um, well, moving on to our next game, it's, Ah, it's not.
Two teams were overly probably interested in watching, but it is an interesting matchup, and that's the Detroit Lions hosting or going to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Lawrence, I'll give you the first word on this.
It's a tight game.
I think it's a tight spread.
I think Detroit is a slight favorite.
If I'm not mistaking Keith, and who do you got? Winning this game? Oh, man, this is gonna be interesting.
It really depends upon which defense can make the other quarterback a little bit scared because Matt Stafford he has his moments.
Gardner Minshew has his moments.
It just depends.
A set of late Gardner Minshew hasn't hasn't looked as good as he has the first three weeks.
So the last couple weeks, anyhow, same thing could be said about the Detroit Lions and Matt Stafford.
I think that really, whichever defense decides, they wanna send the pressure against the other Quarterback has the edge in this.
I'm gonna go with Jacksonville.
Actually, in this game, I don't usually pick the lions, but I am going to in this case, I have them over the Jags.
Um, you know, the Jags have literally no pass rush.
And this is coming from a fan of a team that doesn't have any pass rush.
The Jags have a worst pass rush than the Ravens, which is saying something.
Uh, Matthew Stafford should be absolutely dotting up this Jags defense.
I have the Lions winning and they might win pretty big.
Well, very much like the Chicago Caroline again.
My flip flopped on this a lot.
I think I originally picked Detroit.
Then I picked Jacksonville, went back to Detroit.
On just like that, I had to turn to the ****ytics because it's the only thing I could help me make a decision because the eye test told me that both teams could do some things really well, but they do a lot of things really bad.
Um, and it was all gonna be who, you know, didn't play as bad as the other team.
I'm actually gonna call pull the upset with Lawrence on this, too, and take Jacksonville.
I think that even though I think Detroit's a slightly better team, I think that Jacksonville what they do well, they do a little bit better.
And what they do bad they don't do is bad.
Is the Detroit Lions.
Um So I am gonna lean towards Jacksonville.
Eso even I think it's a three point spread or something like that.
I'm taking Jacksonville the wind straight up.
Keith, I'll give you final word on this game.
Yeah, it's Ah, three point spread.
So, I mean, I guess they're expecting it to be close, but I'm gonna lean Detroit just off a talent alone.
I'm really hoping to see them get DeAndre Swift going like they have three running back Adrian Peterson carrying Johnson like, use all three of those guys get validated ball.
I just I can't bet on the Jaguars.
I can't pick the Jaguars.
I'm taking a lion's.
So we got a 50 50 split across the board here.
Lawrence, you got something bad to that? Yeah.
Um, Jacksonville is looking and hoping that Josh Allen, their pass rusher, the one bass Russia that they had that's been missing games.
Hopefully, we'll be back this game.
I'm counting on that for that's I counted on him to be back for my win.
I'm just saying the better you keep that back.
Do you think that makes a difference in this game? Does that sway you at all the other way? I don't I don't think it's enough that that I would pick.
The Jaguars is gonna have an impact on the game, but just like I said, talent alone.
Just look at some of the names on the Lions on offense and defense.
I just think there are more talented team.
They'll figure out how to win.
The only way is if Matt Patricia absolutely ****.
Well, I'm just I'm just going to say to you, Does Matt Patricia play the factor in this game? Right? We've seen him.
We've seen him in my opinion.
Single Handley blow games for Detroit this year, not being able to close out games, Um, not keeping his team in games when they probably could be again.
As I always say, Please trade Matthew Stafford and give that kid a chance or that man now a chance to play in a competitive team.
And actually, you know, show that he's probably, at least at one time, a top 10 quarterback in the NFL.
All right, so going on to our next game, we got two teams that I think their fan base might actually say underachieved this season.
And that's the Atlanta Falcons who are traveling to take on the Minnesota Vikings now, no doubt and cook today.
But fortunately for Minnesota, they got two other Dalvin Cook's on the team.
If anything, that he knows what do they know how to load up on running backs? Um, Keith, I'll give you first word on this.
What do you like in this game? Who are you leaning towards? And, you know, do you agree that these air to underachieving teams or do you think they're right where they should be? These are two underachieving teams, these air teams we've seen in the playoffs the last you know, a few years, obviously not the Falcons recently.
But, you know, not in the last five years these air teams that you expect to see playing late in the year and the Falcons fire Dan Quinn own five.
I don't think they really have any true identity.
Uh, the Vikings are a team that is going to still try and fight in that home.
I think they're gonna figure out how to get the ball into the playmaker's hands.
They can throw it, they can run it.
I'm taking the Vikings.
I think the Falcons they might be looking to get rid of Matt Ryan.
So maybe, you know, I'm in New York where the Giants and Jets fans were talking about getting Trevor Lawrence.
Well, maybe the Falcons have some interest in that, too, so they might be just falling all the way out of it.
Give me the Vikings today.
All right, Lawrence, what are you thinking for this game? I got to take the Vikes are the blah, the dirty birds.
I gotta take them.
The Vikings have a terrible pass defense right now on.
That's the strength of this, uh, Falcons team.
The Vikings were given up 10 touchdowns, only required three interceptions.
Uh, they're giving up almost 67%.
Completion percentage is over 1300 yards through the air.
They've given up.
They are the worst pass defense in the NFL.
I expect Matty ice to actually have a decent bounce back game this game, get their first win.
I think I'm actually gonna have to agree with Lawrence as well.
I'm gonna go with the Atlanta Falcons.
Um, we saw last week that this Vikings offense completely just got the air taking out of it when Dalvin cook went down.
And if they continue to look like that Oh, it's gonna be bad.
Julio Jones is returning today.
Look for him to have a big game.
And I also believe in when you fire your head coach and you believe in yourself is players.
And you didn't believe in the head coach.
They come out and they just come out like gangbusters.
And I think that that's what the Falcons they're gonna do, and they're going to get their first win of the season.
The Texans effect? Yep. Exactly.
Minnesota blew a prime opportunity last week, which is again, why I'm not completely sold on the Seattle Seahawks, who I believe have survived games rather than one.
If you look at games like the Patriots, Dallas, Minnesota, those were three games.
They could have lost right, and they somehow pulled it off.
Um, I am gonna go with a little bit of recency bias here.
I know you're talking about their past defense.
I mean, the same past defense that let Russell Wilson throw for 190 yards last week, right the right now reigning M v p of the league.
That's what everybody is saying, right? They held them to 190 yards.
They put up like 450 yards of offense, uh, in the air and on the ground.
I actually think Minnesota is a much better team than Atlanta.
When we talk about Underachievers, I think Atlantis somewhat underachieving.
I think Minnesota is drastically underachieving for what they can.
I think quarterbacking is an issue there on I agree with Keith and the fact of even though Quinn is gone, I still don't think there's an identity on that team.
And there's no way that Matt Ryan's not hearing these rumors.
Now that you know they're starting to look at Trevor Lawrence and we're already starting to see a lot of articles about where will Matt Ryan fit next year, in which teams would be looking for him.
Um, I think Minnesota is gonna be ****ed after last week, and I think they're hearing as well as what Lawrence said, No doubt or what drove said No, no, Dalvin Cook took all the air out.
I think they want to prove they can win without him.
I'm gonna take Minnesota to win this game.
I do like Alexander Madison, though.
Yeah, he's good, all right, the next game, which shouldn't be interesting at all.
But the Baltimore Ravens seem to make everything interesting Sometimes is the Baltimore Ravens facing the Philadelphia Eagles? Um, I'll start with this game.
I still, in my opinion, think that the Baltimore Ravens, if they can keep everything together for four quarters, is the best team in the NFL.
What I've seen out of Baltimore this year and, Joe, if I'm wrong, please stop is they have moments of brilliance, and then you have moments.
You sit there and go like Lamar.
What are you doing? Or even John Harbaugh? Why? Why are these calls being made? Why are you not sticking? You know, as some things work like the run run game is working, so they start throwing the football, right? Like they're just They're doing weird things.
That being said, Philadelphia, my opinion is not underachieving.
They're playing right to where their records, you know, they're the way they're playing is right with the record. Reflects.
I know that they've looked better in the last little while, but they have in the great.
I don't use this word often, but I believe that Baltimore is going to destroy Philadelphia today.
And, um, if they were calling, you know, if they were calling to bench Carson Wentz before this game, it may happen now.
Now, big on the injury front.
Um, nose tackle Brandon Williams, Brandon Williams out for this game.
I don't know how much difference how much of a difference that makes, Joe.
I'm gonna give you last word and you can pile on.
I'm still taking Baltimore to destroy Philadelphia.
Even with that injury.
Uh, Keith, I'll go to you next.
What are you thinking for this game? Yeah, the Eagles air no good.
Like they're just not a good football team.
They beat the Niners in that prime time game, and I guess people got excited about last week then putting up 29 points against the Steelers, but they're at home today.
I think they're gonna let their fans in.
I think they're probably gonna regret letting fans in today because I don't see them stopping Lamar Jackson.
I don't I really need Ah, Big Lamar game.
I need Lamar to throw the ball well and run the ball well and put up the numbers, the M V P type numbers that we want to see for him, and I think he could get that done today in Philadelphia.
I think the Ravens cover that 10 point spread.
I'm gonna disagree with last segment.
Baltimore is the most underachieving team in the NFL right now because of everything that you said Ray earlier.
I mean, you've got guys dropping the football all the time.
You got questionable play calling.
You've got defense.
Is that look like they're at times trying to tackle ghosts? I It's amazing.
And then you got the Cincinnati Bengals, where, you know, last week Baltimore just thoroughly trashed them.
If you look at the score, but still, you look at that game at some of the plays and you go, this could have been a 50 point game.
So I'm kind of worried for the Ravens going in against Philadelphia, because this could be a letdown game.
I still got Baltimore winning, but this is one of those games that you're like.
If Baltimore don't for some reason, is not just keeps rolling the way they've been rolling, some of these things will just it'll slip right through their hands.
And I don't want to see that.
I want to see Baltimore come out and just dominate like we thought that they should have these past five weeks that, you know, ever since week one they haven't been doing Mhm Joe give you final word on this game.
All right, well, so before the season started, this was actually the first loss I predicted on our schedule.
Obviously, I was wrong because I thought we had it what it took to beat the Chiefs, and I still believe we do.
It's just that we don't because, you know, Harbaugh gets in his own head.
He gets intimidated by Andy Reid.
Um, Brandon Williams being out is huge Every time Brandon Williams is out.
Our run defense suffers just so much like when Brandon Williams is on the field.
You just can't run up the middle.
It just does not happen. It's impossible.
You have to run to the edges.
And even that's getting harder now.
Because Kallias Campbell has been a huge help with that.
Having Purnell McPhee healthy has also been a huge help in setting the edge.
Um, I'm a little concerned about that.
Also were missing Derek Wolfe.
So the D line is a little bit banged up today.
The good thing is that the Eagles old line is extremely bad up.
They only have their starting center.
So I'm looking for you know, the address is to have a pretty good game and our blitzes to really get to Carson Wentz.
Hopefully, um, but, yeah.
Brandon Williams being out this huge.
I'm expecting Miles Sanders to have, you know, a couple of big runs, and I'm gonna get ****ed off about that.
And but, you know, the thing about Brandon Williams is he doesn't have cove it, but he did come into contact with somebody with covitz.
So that's the reason that they're putting him on there, But yeah, I agree with you guys, man.
I mean, the funny thing is, as you know last week against the Bengals, I said it.
If that was a better team, that would have been a game because we were up 17 to for the longest time, all the way to like the second half.
And if the Bengals were at least competent, you know, they could have made it a game there.
So if it wasn't for our defense, absolutely bawling out, that could have been, you know, trouble the offense.
It feels experimental, and I don't like it.
It feels like we're experimenting every single week, and, uh, I just don't know why we're not sticking to what works.
We know running the ball works and we're just not doing it.
So it's, I don't know.
It's It's weird.
But of course, I still have the Ravens winning this game.
Do you think, Joe that maybe is it possible that your head coaches like you say experimenting? But, um, trying to do so? Not to the point of losing games, but preparing for the playoffs so that they will end up in the same situation they were last year? Yeah, A lot of people have speculated that you know, we're trying to work out passing things, See what works.
See what doesn't eso.
That's why you're seeing Lamar throw for 40 times a game, even though it's not necessary.
Um, yeah, so I think that definitely could be a factor.
I also think Lamar himself probably told the coaching staff, You know, let's run a traditional passing often so I can prove to everybody I'm capable of doing that.
But come on, man, we're trying to win games.
You know, we're not.
This isn't the preseason, but anyway, we'll see what happens now.
One of the heated debates I got into during this off season was actually with Joe's Buddy Sonny from a different show, and I said that Baltimore was a one dimensional offense and that teams would start figuring that out.
And we got into a very heated debate over.
You can't stop the Baltimore offense, so I kind of agree with Lawrence there.
I think maybe Harbaugh sought it, too, because it doesn't.
You don't need the whole league to figure it out.
You need one playoff team to figure it out, kind of like the Titans did.
So it's like you know what we're gonna do other things.
So this way, if they stop our regular offense, well, we're gonna hit you with something else that you can't stop.
Um, so, you know, maybe it's not a bad thing.
Maybe it's a frustrating time as they try to find a new identity and and really see what Lamar can do.
Not just with the football in his hand.
And I think that Lamar has taken a little bit too much heat for some of the throws, you know, and he's had his moments, But you got the Ravens receivers and tight ends to catch the football.
I mean, he's put perfect passes into their hands, and I don't blame Lamar for the Kansas City game.
I blame a little bit of the coaching, but I blame Mark Andrews.
I blame Brown for not being able to get under a deep ball.
You know what I mean? Just guys who you expect to make the place haven't.
But I want to throw this question out to you guys so pre C.
Since we're talking about sort of how Baltimore, in a way, has underachieved, even though they're sitting on what foreign one right now.
Um and then you've got another team in the Kansas City Chiefs, who are, uh, four and one on foreign one.
No foreign one on the season.
The Chiefs, the Ravens, the Saints, the Buccaneers.
They were all kind of the even Seattle who's undefeated.
But they were all the favorites going into this year, and so was San Francisco.
But it's a whole different story right now, but those teams who have, you know, records and and and what one games.
And I haven't been impressed with a single team this year like none of those teams have stepped up to me and been like, ****, I fear that team right again.
Baltimore, I think, is the best team in the league.
But they shoot themselves in the foot all the time, and you're right, Joe.
If they play a competent team like against the Chiefs, they get hurt for it.
You know, Tampa Bay has look streaky.
New Orleans is look streaky.
Kansas City has not impressed me this season.
I haven't watched the Kansas City game yet where I go, that's the Patrick Mahomes in the offense and the defense from last year that just blew everybody out of the water.
What do you think is this Just early season and these teams are gonna get stronger and stronger or has perhaps Kansas City because we've now seen New England.
And who did Kansas City just lose to the Raiders? The Raiders basically played the same defense against Patrick Mahomes, rushed for up the middle and caused him problems and made him look uncomfortable.
Now, I'm not saying Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes aren't good enough.
Toe overcome, You know what I mean and figure something else out.
But is this just early season? Or was this maybe us having a different You know, too much recency bias last season, trying to figure out who was gonna be good this year because none of those four teams have overly impressed me, if you understand what I mean.
Like, I expect more out of all four teams.
Yeah, um, I think the thing about the Chiefs is that, you know, everybody has this idea of the Chiefs being this unbeatable, you know, slaughterhouse Patrick Mahomes.
And yes, they are when they're on.
Obviously, you know, it's amazing to watch when everything is clicking on all cylinders, firing on all cylinders, but Let's not forget they were down in every single playoff game last year, right? If it wasn't for some late game heroics from Patrick Mahomes, they probably wouldn't have won those games.
So, no, they're not an unbeatable team.
They never have been.
It's just that they have one of the best quarterbacks in the league, and he's able to pull off late game heroics.
But, yeah, it definitely seems like what the system for beating Tom Brady was.
Get pressure with four cover, you know, with seven.
It seems like that's getting to Patrick Mahomes as well and keep him contained in the pocket.
So But you know what? You said.
Um, I think it is just a little bit of teams finding their way.
You know, it's still early on in the season.
So that's what I would say to expect to bounce back from all these teams.
Or do you think eventually, when they hit the or the team like the Saints in the box, like that's who they are? I'm disappointed.
I'm disappointed in the Saints.
I if you don't mind, I don't see how this Saints team that has this much talent can lose one player.
That's not the quarterback and play as badly as they have offensively.
If that happens, that is a very bad sign.
And I'm looking at Drew Brees going.
Dude, you may have literally just fell off this cliff.
Yep, Keith, let me pose a different question to you, but kind of around the same lines.
Now, I just mentioned five teams, and one of those teams weren't the Dallas Cowboys, which in retrospect, could be a little disrespectful, considering the lineup that this team, both offensively and defensively, we're putting on the field this year.
You know, pre doc injury.
We're talking preseason favorites, and yet not a lot of people gave Dallas that big chance because of past things.
But as we talked about Week one, this isn't Jason Garrett's Cowboys anymore.
This is Mike McCarthy.
This is a Super Bowl champion coach.
This is, you know, Jerry Land should have been looking better yet, they've kind of performed the way we kind of expected them to perform.
What's going on in Dallas that it just doesn't seem to click with all that talent on that roster.
I will answer the question, but I'm gonna bring it all the way around.
So when you guys were talking about the Chiefs, I think there's enough film out on all these teams where your weaknesses have shown early in the season.
It's not even early in the season anymore.
There's enough game film against different opponents for us to look at a team like the Chiefs and see what the charges did against him, what the Raiders did against them.
And the Chiefs know that they're not all complete.
They went out and signed Levian Bill.
They're like, Hey, we could use a lot of Ian Bell Andan also, who'd you just talk about The Saints, right? With Michael Thomas? One guy.
But that shows you right.
Drew Brees needs that one guy.
They're ready to put him in a B C.
I was watching the game.
They're talking about how he's gonna be in the booth next year and you know he's pretty much done.
And then Michael Thomas punching a teammate.
And then you hear the news that, like he got that Sean Payton a little bit, it was disrespectful to coaches like there's something going on in New Orleans that's bigger than we realized.
with Michael Thomas.
He's one guy, but like he's the guy.
So all of these weeks have passed now.
And when you look at the Dallas Cowboys, me being a Cowboys fan I heard all the hype from when we signed CD land or when we drafted CD Lamb.
And you know, we're signing guys like Amar E.
Cooper giving them big deals.
Jaylin Smith, Lyle Collins in Dallas I I always say the D and Big D is big, delusional, big disappointment.
Who said the Cowboys were gonna go 12 and four? I said the ceiling was 10 and six.
I would be happy with nine and seven, but if we go eight and eight, we could still win this division.
And when you look at the team and all the talent on a fence, that's great.
But this offensive line is in shambles.
I mentioned Lyle Collins.
He's out for the year.
Tyron Smith, who's been a Pro Bowl or almost every year he's been in the league.
He's out for the season before this year started.
Travis Frederick retired, you know, for health reasons, so this offensive line is in shambles.
I don't think the Cowboys were prepared.
And I also say that to say this.
Your first year head coach, Mike McCarthy coming in in this pandemic quarantine year, having to do all this meeting and talking and getting no guys over.
Zoom fast forward Now The week six.
I think a lot of teams we're getting a look at now we're getting to see that.
Hey, this year was the most I don't know, difficult years to prepare.
Uh, teams were doing a lot of figuring it out as it as it's happening.
Injuries have hit everyone's team.
Um, there's a lot of disappointing teams, but I think we can chalk ITM or up to, like I said, uh, having the most untraditional offseason into a season, No preseason on DNA.
Now you're really starting to see what we like, which teams are what they thought that they were what they didn't.
And now you've got to schedule changing and different teams getting by weeks like I don't know.
Whoever ends up on top of the NFL this year is gonna have to survive coronavirus and everything else, but, uh, here we are weak six and I don't know it's starting to take shape.
I'm surprised to see the A F C North is the A F C North like this, like or Wendy, and it's funny, I'm not because I predicted to you guys or to those two at the beginning, the season I said I could see all three teams out of the North making the playoffs, and that was like in July that I said that.
But since we're on the Dallas Cowboys and we won't be discussed in the game because that happens tomorrow on Monday Night Football.
But you're more than welcome to join Keith if you like.
Um, But I want to ask you what happens with Dak Prescott now? Obviously, he bet on himself this year and, um, injured.
And I don't think Dak Prescott was playing bad this year.
You know what I mean? I didn't look at Dak Prescott and say he was the reason that last year I did put a little bit of blame on Dak Prescott, you know.
But this year I don't look at Dak and say You're the reason for the Dallas Cowboys struggles, but he bet on himself a horrific injury.
I mean, I couldn't even I saw it once, and I determine it was Thanksgiving up here in Canada and I had just finished turkey dinner and I had to walk out of the room because it almost came back up just horrific.
He seems to be in good spirits.
What happens with Doc now going forward? I think Jack is fine.
Ah, 100% think he's the starter Week one next season.
But you know, you sign Andy Dalton for this reason.
You sign Andy Dalton because, you know, Dak takes hits.
You know, Doc runs the ball, you know, Dak creates, and, uh, there's, ah, liability there that you might lose him.
And who do you have with all of this offensive talent? Who do you have behind Dak? And honestly, we didn't have anyone.
We had Cooper Rush and we bring in Andy Dalton and he's, ah, guy that we know can get the job done.
And also, when they signed Andy Dalton, Cam Newton was out there.
They passed on him and went with Andy Dalton and, ah, lot of people started saying, Oh, well, if that doesn't want to sign the contract, maybe they're bringing in Andy Dalton the challenge.
No, Andy Dalton has been the backup all along.
I'm excited to see what the offense looks like with him because there are people in the Cowboys land saying, Oh, well, if Andy Dalton can get it done, then Dax numbers seem more like a product off this offense and weapons.
And then, you know, if Andy Dalton can go do it.
No, I think that throwing for over 400 yards and having all these touchdowns is a product of ah, really bad defense.
When you have toe, get into shootouts every game when you're down in every game and you have to throw it, Yeah, like your numbers, they're gonna be that.
And I think I think Jack is fine.
I think you know his 4 to 6 month rehab.
He'll be ready to go in the off season, and I can't speak on whether I think they're gonna sign.
I think he's gonna play on the tag again.
Uh, it just it just set up for it, you know, like you said he bet on himself.
He played on the tag this year. No deal.
When you see a horrific injury like that going down and you know what the situation is.
It's like, Oh, man, that's the one thing you didn't want to happen Like to a guy like that.
But I think he plays on the tag next year.
He's gonna be the starter next year, and he'll be just fine.
We'll see what the Cowboys do with Andy Dalton.
Things division is terrible.
There's still a chance to go eight and 89 and seven and win it with Andy Dalton.
And that would kind of sal***e this season because right now, Mike McCarthy's first year the Dallas Dallas Cowboys head coach hasn't been great at all.
No, and, you know, And if Dallas wins Monday night, um, and when you go up to three wins, they take a commanding lead of the division as well.
Um, but, uh, okay, last question, then we'll move along here.
But are you disappointed in? I don't mean I mean, of course, we were disappointed by the way it's played, But are you disappointed in this Dallas defense that I think in my mind I had playing so much better this season? Or are they doing what you You follow the team tighter or are you doing? What? You Are they doing what you expected? Uh, now, I'm one of the guys that, like I've talked about the money that was spent and the decisions that were made like we let go of Jeff Heath.
Jeff, Jeff Heath is a guy that played safety for us for the last few years.
He was a captain on this team, even kicked for us when we needed him.
Not the flashiest safety in the NFL, but he's with the Raiders now making picks, making plays just fine.
Another guy that we decided out.
We can't pay him, but we're gonna pay Jaylin Smith.
We're gonna pay Tank Lawrence.
We're not gonna pay Byron Jones, who we drafted in the first round is a freak.
D B can literally cover up some of your warts on defense.
We're not gonna pay him.
So what I'm saying is we made some decisions.
Toe. Let's, um, guys walk.
Uh, even Kevin Frazier, who was with the Dolphins now doing work.
We let some guys walk and didn't pay some guys on defense, and it's come back to bite us.
And I knew that, like the Cowboys strategy was to kind of put these like, old band aids over it.
We're gonna sign Gerald McCoy.
We're gonna sign.
Dix, We're going to sign Donta Repo Dix got cut.
Uh, McCoy hurt himself before the season even started.
Been one of our worst guys on defense.
He shouldn't even see the field.
So what I'm saying is, yeah, this defense I was not expecting them to do great.
I heard talking camp about Trevon Diggs being the best d b.
And I'm like, This is a rookie we drafted in the second round is our best d B.
That's not a good sign.
And then the hot boys R D line named themselves The Hot Boys.
Yeah, their their seats air hot.
There's nothing hot about those guys.
They get man handled every week.
And now we lose Tristan Hill.
We lose Like this defense is watch Kyler, Murray and Hopkins Air going to destroy this defense, and we'll see if Andy Dalton can keep the Cowboys in it.
I'm I'm not surprised his defense sucks.
Not is DaMarcus playing up to his new contract? No, he played better last week, but no for him to be a guy that, like he already set the bar high for himself two years ago in his contract.
When when he was, like, trying to get this contract, we saw what you could do.
We know how dominant you could be.
So be that he hasn't played upto his contract at all.
The Ravens and the Patriots invest in the secondary.
Yeah, they're alright, guys.
So we're gonna move on here, and we're going to stay in the NFC East as we have the juggernauts.
The Washington football team versus the New York football Giants.
I think the Giants are the favorites for this game.
Joe, I'll start with you.
Who? You've got winning this game.
Oh, my God. Honestly.
Coin flip, dude, They're both horrible teams.
Um, Is Alex Smith starting? I guess.
And I think it might be Kyle Allen I would imagine is back.
Yeah, I would imagine.
I'll give the Giants their first win.
I don't feel good about it. I'm not sure.
Is chase Young playing? Let me actually check that. Really? Yeah.
He's playing you.
Him And that could make a difference.
That could make a difference.
I'll still roll with the Giants, man.
I don't feel good about it, but I just don't think they're in Owen 16 team like the Jets are.
So I, uh, I think they'll get a win.
I think I'm not actually gonna go with Washington.
Um, again, Joe Zee, I'm going with my OS.
You boys know it was a coin flip game for me.
It's another game about the ****ytics watching as a slight advantage.
Wouldn't surprise me if they lose.
Wouldn't surprise me if they win.
Wouldn't be surprised if they tie.
Um, this is a bad game that I have no interest in.
I won't be watching.
I'll just be looking at the score at the end, hoping I got it right.
But I am gonna go with my always you guys and go with the Washington football team to beat those giants.
Let's move on to Keith, Man, what do you think? I would love to see the Washington football team and Kyle Allen figure out how to come into New Jersey.
And when Giants country, these guys are thinking this is a win there thinking this is their chance to get it done.
This is the first win of the season at home.
Um, you know, their their offense had their best showing last week against the terrible Cowboys defense.
I think that this Washington Redskins defense will look at that film and figure out how to stop them.
They don't have anybody on offense that you're really afraid of.
If they get the ball to ever, ever in Ingram.
But like Slaten Freeman, I don't know.
I think it's gonna be one of those games that you shouldn't watch.
I think this is gonna be a close game.
It's gonna be turnovers.
There's gonna be some defense of scores, and one of these teams is gonna win it late.
And I hate the Giants.
I'm hoping it's Washington I hate Washington to, but I'd rather see the heartbreak of the New York football Giants fans going, Oh, and six.
So give me the Washington football team before I turn us on the Lawrence for last word.
I'd like to apologize to our boy Adam, who's one of our partners here in sports news that we're encouraging people not to watch his team today, but we really encourage people not to watch his team.
Lawrence, Final word.
You're gonna watch this game And, uh Who you taking the wind? Oh, no, it's one o'clock game.
My teams playing e Come on.
I might watch the highlights.
Or the low lights, Whichever one you want to call them.
Um, but I'm I'm rooting for the Giants for two reasons.
I want the NFC East really tight with, you know, everyone being either one or two wins in the past week. Six.
I wanna really tight division.
Make it a tough one.
I don't want any team other than the New York Jets just Thio get the first pick of the draft.
Um, that way, Sam Donald can be free to go find someone else to play for.
But I'm not necessarily just tickle.
I mean, just in general, like, **** Donald go somewhere else in general, I would take him, though.
I'm not gonna not gonna deny that.
Um, but yeah, I'm rooting for the Giants.
I can't tell you who's gonna win.
I don't I'm not putting the effort in the ****ysis on this game.
I did the giants or you picked sorry.
I know you're you're rooting for the Giants, but do you think they're gonna win? E think the Giants got a pretty good defense.
Okay, Now, here is an actual, interesting game that if I can't watch live, probably watch the game in its entirety.
Not even the condensed version of it.
And that's the Cleveland Browns versus Pittsburgh Steelers.
Um, Lawrence, I'll give you first go at this.
I think it's gonna be a good game.
Um, what do you What do you who you take in this game and boy, that's when I remind you we have four games in 10 minutes.
Pittsburgh's gonna win by at least 10 points.
Wow, Baker Mayfield is not gonna have any time because Pittsburgh's good to send blitzes like crazy like they normally do.
Uh, the secondary of this Brown's team is going to get ran over because they haven't played a wide receiver quite like Claypool.
So he's a big physical receiver.
What do you have, like four touchdowns last last week? This kid is going.
They're gonna light the browns up.
I got Pittsburgh winning this big time.
Don't mess with those good old Canadian boys, man.
We grew up playing hockey.
So when we get on football, we played man sport up here.
So when we start playing football, they call maple trun over there.
Uh, Joe, I know you got very strong feelings against, uh, Pittsburgh Steelers.
I'm happy that I have you slotted going after Lawrence to respond to that 10 points, the pits.
But you agree with that With that ****ysis, I I don't know about that.
I mean, we're I am so excited to watch this game.
I'm almost more excited to watch this game than my own game.
To be honest, I'm so curious to see, like I've been saying it.
I don't believe in the Steelers.
Maybe it's my Ravens bias.
I don't believe in the Cleveland Browns necessarily either, but also my Ravens bias.
But I think pound for pound.
On paper, the Browns are the better team, and if you flip the jerseys, you would say the Steelers would win because they have the better roster.
The reason everybody's picking the Steelers is because they're the Steelers there at home, and I get it, and I'm also inclined to do that.
But I don't think that it's gonna be a blowout.
Look for the Browns to to really put up a fight.
Man, I think this is gonna be a good old A f c North battle.
You know, Drag, knock it out, drag it up.
I think that the Steelers pull this one out, but not by 10 North.
So I don't think it's gonna be a blow up.
We'll come back to the second half of the game, so I'm leaning towards Pittsburgh is well, but not because they're at home because it's science.
Feel that I actually believe Pittsburgh's a much better team than Cleveland.
Even the Cleveland has the roster.
I think their record has over achieved how they've played this year.
I think that paper has played more efficiently, and that's what I always look for in teams.
Um, if we go back to the Ravens is off kilter.
They've looked at times.
They've been a very efficient team, and that's why I think they're the best team in the league is when they're being efficient there.
And I think Pittsburgh plays much more efficiently than Cleveland does.
Maybe I'm not picking a Ted. It's a division game.
Um first time that Miles Garrett's gonna be back on the field ever since he hit, You know, punishable Mason Rudolph who, by the way, guys to this day, I will argue, has the most punishable face from football.
But, uh, I think it's gonna be a tight game by eminent lean towards Pittsburgh because I just straight up think they are the better team, even though, on paper, Cleveland may have the better roster.
I think the coaching is better in Pittsburgh, and that's can overcome better.
I just don't trust him in Baker, and I think that Pittsburgh's actually been playing really well.
I'm higher on them than Joe is, and I'm taking Pittsburgh win this game.
Keith, I'll give you last word on this game.
Yeah, I think there are better coach team.
This is a rivalry.
There's already been a lot of talk this week.
I don't think that this is the week or the year that Cleveland goes into Heinz Field and beats the Steelers.
Um, I think they're gonna need somebody to be a game breaker.
And we're all thinking it's gonna be, uh, Maple Tron, Claypool, this this kid out of Notre dame, but, you know, they've got other guys to juju.
Smith, Schuster, Johnson.
Um, they got other weapons at wide receiver.
Look out for those guys. It's gonna be high scoring.
And I think that the Steelers win at home and they cover that three.
Okay, so I'm gonna make one argument with you.
You talk about the kid coming out of, he comes out of British Columbia, Canada.
We don't have Canadians in the NFL who succeeded.
Don't take it away from us.
All right? Yeah.
Like we have hockey players here.
So when we actually get football players like, it's an exciting time.
We had to go in the first two rounds this year.
Canadian boys you could be happy with.
I already told you that I went to school with me and him and Janet.
We were not together.
We went to the same school, though, right? Yeah. Kicker.
That's been the pride and joy in Canada.
The kicker anyways, uh, very interesting game Here is the Houston Texans versus the Tennessee Titans.
The Titans coming off a big blowout win against the Buffalo Bills.
I re watched that game.
Uh, the special teams on Tennessee was insane that game.
And actually, that's what I think was the biggest difference maker.
Was how well, both when they were kicking the ball and when they were receiving the ball, how well it was.
Houston already looking better without Bob is we like to call it G o B.
Since he's been released.
Um, I think this is gonna be a very tight game.
It's in Tennessee.
I am willing now to put it out on the line that I underestimated this Tennessee team.
And that's not just because of Buffalo.
They've impressed me this year.
I thought they were the Cinderella story from last year that was gonna come back to Earth this year.
Ryan Tannehill just woke up last Tuesday and thought, Hey, I'm gonna be looked like a star quarterback and make throws in the end zone that I had never made before.
I'm taking Timeline in Tennessee to beat this Houston team.
Um, I think Tennessee's for Riel, man and Lawrence.
I would hate to have to play them in the division and have to fight for them for the first place.
Eso That's where I'm going with with this game.
Keith, what are you thinking? Short week for Tennessee, Short week for the Titans? I don't think it will matter.
I think they're rolling.
I think the challenges that they faced with the Cove in 19 stuff and taking time off, I think that actually gave them a little jolt on.
They definitely punched the Bills in the face, and that gave them even more confidence.
And I think Rebel came out saying, I'm not gonna doubt this team And you know, there was a lot of QUOTABLES from the experience that they had with co vid would not playing and, you know, having to do things and figure it out.
And once they overcame that, they feel like they can overcome anything.
The Texans are not there yet.
I think we got that one game from them last week.
That is post B O B era.
You know, they play hard and Brandon Cooks had a huge game, but I don't expect him to repeat that.
I don't expect them to repeat that the Titans will win.
Maybe they'll win ugly, but they'll still will still win this game today, Lawrence.
Oh, this is easy uh, I think both teams are expected to come out and actually, uh, air it out because neither teams, uh, secondary is great, so to speak.
All right, um, but I I just I have more faith in the defense of the Tennessee Titans than I do the defense of the Houston, Texas, and I think that Ryan Tannehill has shown that he is not only safe with the football, but even when he's under pressure, no one's open.
He will tuck that sucker, and he will go for that first down yardage.
What he needs to write and guess.
DeShaun Watson could do that and do that better.
But I like Ryan Tannehill's, um being safe with the football, not turning it over over to Shawn Watson, just throwing it out there At this point in time.
I got I got the Titans just because obviously I actually like Vrabel as a head coach as well.
And like you said, Keith, they are hot right now.
They are rolling, and I think they're gonna feed off that energy.
It might be close in the first quarter, but I think by the beginning of the third quarter I think Tennessee takes over this game and they just run away with it.
Joe, I'm gonna agree with Keith here.
I think that the Titans will win this game, but I think it will be ugly.
I mean, it's those division matchups.
I know the Texans air clearly not better than the Titans, but I'm just saying, Look out for that, um, credit to micro able man.
You gotta give props to Mike Rebel because he has absolutely transformed the identity of the Titans team.
He feeds into being the Titans, if that makes sense.
Like, you know, everybody sees the Titans is like an average to above average team, and that's just kind of where they lie.
Um, but I feel like he feeds into that, and then he goes out there, and he's like, Yeah, we're the Titans.
And we just whipped your s, you know? So Mike Vrabel has absolutely just I mean, big props to him, man, he's totally changed the identity of the Titans.
And they look good.
I mean, I hate to say it because you guys know how much I hate the **** titans, but they look solid.
They look really good, And, uh, I do have them winning this game.
All right, I'm going to cut you off their job because we got two minutes of your time left.
I want your opinion.
Okay? They skip me last week anyway, so just take your your here.
Perfect. I'll skip this game. Anyways.
In case you want to jump over, we'll talk about the Jets in Miami.
Last right to really finish off this show.
Uh, but I think that this is the game of the day, Boys.
Every year when the calendars come out, I circle the game and today we got the battle of the old guard.
The new guard is Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes and Baker, Mayfield and Joe Burrow.
The old guard is Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers, Russell Wilson.
And we've already saw the breeze versus Brady.
We will see it again.
Today we got is a matchup is a Patriots fan.
We always looked excited because we didn't see it.
Often we get to see Tom Brady versus Aaron Rodgers.
It's gonna be a very interesting game, because from an impressive standpoint, I've been mawr impressed with Green Bay than I have been with Tampa Bay.
But Tampa Bay, I think has one of the more underrated defense is in the NFL on day, one of the more overrated offenses from the way they've been performing.
So I think it will be a very interesting game.
And how this plays out, Joe, I'll start with you, man.
How do you see this game going and who is it gonna be? A shootout and who you taken? This is an interesting matchup, man.
I mean, obviously, the the whole storyline is Brady versus Rodgers.
That's what everybody wants to default to, and I get it.
I understand it.
Um, I do have the Packers winning, and the reason I have the Packers winning is because I think there's a certain way to beat the Packers team, which is you have to have a good running game.
You have to be able to run the ball because I believe that the Packers arm or of a finesse type defense, um, I would say, and I don't think the bucks are built like that.
They want to pass the ball.
They you know, Ronald Jones has been solid, but he's not that, like hard nose power running back that could just bully the Packers defensive line and linebackers.
I'm gonna take the Packers here.
Andi, we're probably going to see some more Tom Brady outbursts that ray I'm sure loves to see.
Uh, would I tell you that? Would it make a difference if I told you that Leonard Fournette will be active today? Mm.
Not much, Not much.
I still have the Packers.
I mean, Aaron Rodgers has been playing at another level.
So, uh, this was a game that on my ESPN pick, I picked the Green Bay Packers, and this morning I changed it to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on This isn't me believing in Brady over Rogers.
I think that Rogers is the best quarterback to ever play the game.
You know what I mean? Um, Brady's most accomplished and the most clutch.
You know, it's like the Kobe versus Michael Jordan.
Kobe is probably the most clutch player of all time, but he's not the greatest of all time.
Right? Um, but I look at this team and again, it's very much like I did with Detroit and Jacksonville.
Like, who does what really bad and who doesn't do it as bad.
I looked at these teams said, What do they do really well and who just does it a little bit better and how can you counter act? And I think that this Buck's defense has enough in it to not stop Aaron Rodgers because you're not going to stop Aaron Rodgers.
But they have enough in it to slow down Aaron Rodgers, and that offense in Tampa Bay has enough to score enough points.
I'm actually changed my pick.
I talked myself out of it.
I'm actually going to go with Tampa Bay this game, Uh, just and it's it's I think it's gonna be close, and I don't actually believe it's gonna be a shootout.
I think it's gonna be a little bit of a dirtier game than a lot of people are expecting.
I love dirty games that's gonna excite me.
But for people I think who are waiting to see you know, 3000 yards and passing today, they may be a little bit disappointed.
Keith, I'll go to you on this.
What do you thinking for this game? Quickly.
The Packers air coming off of by the Buccaneers air coming off of for Don't know what down it is Thursday night football game that they let slip away.
I'm taking the Packers, and I think they'll win by more than that.
One point spread.
I think the Packers will control that game.
All right, Lawrence, man, you think about this.
The Buccaneers have the number one rush defense in football, right? I mean, the number 12.
7 yards per carry.
But who have they played? Week one? It was the Saints.
Which album? Camara.
I'll give them that.
And then week to was the Panthers.
CNC goes down Broncos, then the Chargers.
The Bears, they don't They haven't had a run game in forever.
Um, yet Green Bay is averaging 5.
1 yard to carry as a team.
As a team, this could be an interesting game.
It's is the Bucks run defense still as good as they were last year because they had a good run defense last year as well, versus a really good, underrated run offense for the Green Bay Packers.
I think that's the matchup you need to watch because the green bacon run the ball halfway decent and control the clock and allow Aaron Rodgers to just make plays when he needs to.
I think Green Bay wins this, All right? All right, boys, no ****ysis.
We're out of time.
New York Jets First Miami Dolphins.
I think Miami's underrated Miami Miami party in Miami never has Miami.
Miami Uh, I love my boy, Joe Flacco, But going with the Dolphins here.
Miami, across the board.
