I got 20 side letters on my dresser.
I got to get paid.
Got 25 letters on my dress.
Yes, I gots to get paid, eh? Many wait.
And by all means, y'all Miss does Donna won't be ne.
We're not We're not What? I would up, uh, I'm gonna get started here in the next minute.
It's 9 41 Right now.
I might want to like 9 43 Let's unfold it.
And here it is. 9 41 and 40 seconds.
We got like, let's just call it 90 seconds before I get to this.
There's a lot of things going to get into.
Actually, what's crazy is what's really crazy is I uploaded to video today on my channel on my YouTube channel.
And one of those wasn't even the other video I was gonna always do.
I was gonna do to video today, regardless, but one of the videos I uploaded wasn't even the one I was going to do because hockey inside a second cause that's part of what I'm talking about today.
That might be the first thing.
Why do I have a hair tie? My room? When did I can it? Why's there a hair tie? My room that is clean off my desk, too.
Like Matt Recent? Oh, no.
Either way, we got light.
It is called one more minute, and I'll get into this because there is a lot to get into.
A lot of things were said and done, and at the same time, a few things weren't said.
That should have been.
You feel me? A few things happened today, one that was very off or one that was very obvious in the something that happened that wasn't talked about, which is crazy to me, which is crazy to me.
Okay, we at that time.
So it's going Talk about it.
Look, big news happened just earlier today.
What up, Gunners? Big news happened at three PM today.
And if you're waiting for the Panthers organization or the actual pampers dot com website, the official Twitter page, if you're waiting for the instagram page to say anything about this alleged incident, I didn't even check with this I g.
But I'm pretty sure they can talk about it either.
Then you weren't going to see it.
You weren't going to see it.
Earlier today, December 11th at 3 p.m.
Cam Newton got surgery on his foot.
He got surgery to fix the least Franck injury he had in the and the third preseason game against the Patriots.
We all know the story.
I have to go over all the details, all the history behind what happened in that game, how we tried playing off.
I are all that kind of stuff by this point for here.
You probably already know what happened with Cam Newton.
But the biggest thing I won't talk about here is is that it was successful.
Everything worked out fine.
He didn't go to the doctor in Green Bay, the one that he got the recommendation from when he went to before the Packers game.
Actually, that doctor that certain did not even he didn't even recommend surgery.
Cam Newton went to him and the guy said, No, you don't need surgery.
Just go ahead and try to go ahead and try to ah, rehab this.
You do not need to have any sort of operation.
Uh, he didn't go to the team doctors either, and the team definitely has surgeons on their payroll who can do a ah foot surgery.
They're the best in the world, but I mean, they're obviously good at what they do it.
When they do, they're working for a multi $1,000,000 company of corporation, which is the Panthers Football Club or the Panthers football team.
Um, big enough football clubs.
There's gonna begin MLS team coming to Charlotte because kind of crazy.
But he got the surgery done by the same doctor that day.
Katie's Katie's Achilles surgery this past.
What was that? This past summer? Somewhere.
Spring summer this past summer, which is a massive.
That's a That's a huge name s I mean, you do Katie surgery.
He's already big anyway.
But he was the Nets.
He was the Brooklyn Nets better surgeon there, Doctor on their team s Oh, you mean you Do you do Katie's surgery? Courtnall.
But so it didn't Do you think of the surgery? The guy from Green Bay who got the, uh, the second opinion from he didn't get the surgery done with the team doctors.
He went to a guy I was meeting.
You want? You want the best of the best so he went there.
But he also did not do any sort of. He's not resting.
He's not doing any of his rehab.
He's not like in shock right now.
He's resting up in Atlanta What Brody would have got, which isn't a big deal at all.
I mean, honestly, I don't even know how much time Cam spit in in Charlotte since he's been gone, I don't know.
We haven't seen him talk to the media since week, too.
You don't see him on the sidelines, doesn't travel the team at all, and I doubt he's actually at practice and whatnot.
I mean, why would he be at practice? So, um, I don't know just how much time cams actually been spending in Charlotte around the team since his injury.
That's kind of crazy to me, but But either way he got surgery.
All that stuff was doing good.
But there's been a little bit off of news lately with the team.
Kind of seemed like it's kind of, I don't know.
I don't want to say distancing itself from Cam, but the front office has been saying a few things that don't exactly inspire confidence don't exactly like tell a guy like Cam Newton who had what Michael, who has been, look not only the best player in this franchise history, but in some ways some years.
One of the only bright spots for the whole team in general.
And really one of the Onley selling points of tickets for this team in general.
I mean, you think about what it's been historically since, I guess before since even Chris McCaffrey's rookie season was Camp Greg Olsen and Looky Clea past that.
I mean, there's other guys on the team that recognizable like, you know, t 58.
But Thomas Davis? What was? He was a fan favorite, but he wasn't a guy who's moving the level lever.
He's not the guy who's gonna move the needle.
And, you know, people were like clamoring to see oh, man, Thomas Davis, senior Yo Thomas Davis senior.
It was Luke, It was Cam and and Greg Olsen was the guy who everyone loved.
But no one's really going super crazy.
But it was a whole different level is obviously Cam and Luke and then a lower level, uh, Greg Olsen and TV.
And then after that it was basically not very many people at normally there.
There are too many draws to the Panthers organization, but Cam was obviously way up there.
Obviously, we have Christian McCaffrey, deejay more, slept on.
Those had a really good year so far with a backup, these other guys as well.
But we've been talking pretty heavily about, at least at least about being open to trading Cam and not being very committal, being very noncommittal about what the plan is.
I mean, David Thompson talking about Look, the priority is to have a healthy cam, but if people were calling with trade offers, I'm not hanging up the phone immediately.
I'm gonna figure out what they're talking about and maybe we can make some have we could we could really get some shaken if it gets down to that.
And that's not what you seem for the most part.
For most teams with a franchise quarterback, um, you would probably see them say, Well, yes, this is our guy.
We're not gonna be moving this guy.
This is the deal we want.
This is the guy that we're gonna be moving for it with Were not to be entertaining any sort of trade talks.
Trade up propositions.
This is our do moving forward.
But there are a few things with Cam and with the team in general that make you kind of start to wonder.
You know, is this really the best situation four cam or even for the team? First off, I'll go with the team and then camp.
This is this kind of the same vein.
Actually, this team, in my opinion, is not a cam knew in away from being good.
This team is at the very least two offensive lineman at the very least, offensive lineman.
Ah, slot corner.
Ah, slot receiver, Probably two corners.
You look, look at least two corners away because James Bradberry will be coming off this contract this upcoming season.
So I'm gonna count him as being a guy who's potentially leaving because yes, I mean, if you don't sign it, if you don't extend him right now, and it's going to be gone.
So where At least two corners away? Because Dante Jackson and Ross ****le our replacement level players, Dante Jackson is getting beat on streaks by 4th 5th string guys on teams with four wins and and then blame the coaching staff.
I'd misrepresenting what's happening on the field, and he's been uncoachable since the second, he said into the organization.
And it was do***ented very clearly during all or nothing to do has been been lying and making excuses for himself.
Since what, like Week six of last year? I think it was.
It was very early in the season.
I remember this very specifically because I covered every single episode of all or nothing for the Panthers and and Ah, hold ups And I remember one thing, he said.
In all of nothing.
He was talking like this, really just being being ridiculous, and, uh, he actually tweeted after the episode came out, he said.
He said it wasn't fair because, uh, because he was everyone was mad about losing.
But the week that episode aired, the week that episode was talking about, the team had only lost two games and the first game was way early in the season, like five weeks before that And the other loss was, I think, just a week before, So the team that we lost twice and it is came off when I think back to back wins, I feel like it was back to back wins with losses being way early in the season.
I don't have actual schedule in front of right now.
But it was The team hadn't lost a lot, either.
He so we obviously thought off the quickest excuse he could.
It was definitely wrong.
Is you actually paid to do so when you said it? It is.
He's a guy, makes excuses for his bad play, and the excuses are very easily, very easily identifiable.
You can go back and look and say, Wait, you said this happened, but I'm looking back at it and something completely different.
It's happening here.
So either you got confused or you're lying.
It's one of the two.
Whatever excuse you have for your bad attitude over your poor play, that's not the case.
So So what is it exactly? There.
I see what? Steve, Mr.
I didn't say something about it being like a grown man league.
That what he said? I didn't look at the full quote put up.
Is that what he said? Hold on.
Look at every quick.
I glanced over it, but I did not really look at it.
That's a man's game. This is a young team.
What? I saw a young man that realized he don't in the ocean. Here's one for floaty.
Uh, I mean, I guess that is press coverage.
There was first coverage.
Um, look, that's kind of honestly, yeah, honestly, I added, I didn't read the whole the full quote till just now.
Honestly, he really say that much.
I mean, Steve from Steve Smith.
This is actually him being very soft on Dante.
This is actually him being extremely soft on Dante right here.
Look, you understand? You understand that he was okay? Wasn't press coverage.
It wasn't like he was right directly on the line.
But he wasn't Prescott, which was like it was like he was playing off.
Um, but if you look, if you're the second or third fastest guy in the league and Steve Smith said, this is 1/3 stringer.
Now, let's be real here.
The guy this is a case, dude is he was not 1/3 stringer.
He was not looking.
The Falcon steps start real quick because I can promise you that that that chaos, whatever his name is it goes.
Then, um, it's Julio first.
Then it's Calvin.
Really, who's out now? But he was still up there for them.
Even Russell Gage was is above him.
So the chaos at best was 1/4 stringer.
But he was really 1/5 stringer.
I think Russell Gauge, muscle gauge, got got receptions earlier, but or before, Uh, the week before? I think so.
So the case, I think that was his first reception, right? The gas is their fifth stringer.
If you're getting beat on streaks by 1/5 Street, er, I'm starting and then complaining about it in the media and not even knowing the route he beat you on on.
Let's be real here.
It was an underthrown streak, so you can't get beat by your man on a streak.
The ball is underthrown, and it's still a 93 yard touchdown.
When the guys a break stride and slow down.
Look, it is what it is.
I think Steve was actually softer on him, and then he should have been.
But this come out when this You say this.
Oh, wait. Hold up.
This article came out this morning, But I'm assuming that that Ah, Smitty said this yesterday.
I'm assuming that's what he said yesterday.
I didn't I don't know what exactly it was, but yeah, I mean, look, man, Dante's not great.
Dante is not great.
He's fast as hell, but yeah, from the very jump.
Everyone wants everyone talking about him in the draft, all people who were doing all the work.
****ysts, People who look a talent, what not for each player in the draft.
Everyone said his coverage skills were kind of lacking, but he has so much athleticism that he can make up for it.
You look, you could be as fast as you want to, but if you don't have to be like you, you will get the job done.
So, like I said, where at least 200 I'm in a way at least two to, ah, corners away.
We have decent safeties.
We have about league average safeties and Eric Reid and Trade Boston.
I want for all their for all there, I guess problems they have I wouldn't call either one of them garbage.
What up, Tom? I want to call it upon them bad or even below average.
I put them at around average.
Maybe no plus minus given one game of the other right above, right below average.
But I call them both average safeties and we need to find someone in the front seven.
We already have Luke and Shack lined up cake is gonna be back, but we have a find either I think the defensive tackle.
Or maybe you have another linebacker.
Since when have Bruce Irvin be gone in a couple of other dudes? Joe McCoy is gonna be gone soon.
We're gonna figure out where at least six players away plus Cam Newton from being actually good.
And it's gonna be kind of hard Thio sign the guys.
We're gonna be leaving the team like a James Bradberry.
Or maybe, uh or in Camas.
Well, if you don't want him, unless you wanna have, can play on the last year of his deal, which is very, very bad for teams, uh, for letting Linda quarterback point last year.
Their contract without extending them is a very bad move.
I've come this my channel on YouTube.
Let's go over it again really quickly.
The reason of a team never want a franchise quarterback toe play on the last year.
Their deal without without extending them is because if the player the quarterback plays the best year of the career sake, say, we don't extend Cam right now and Cam plays better than 2015 right, goes out, goes, the whole season plays really, really good.
Unless we win a Super Bowl, it's not worth it.
Unless we win a ring, it's not worth it, because then you have two choices.
Well, really, only have one choice, then, when Kim when? After that season, Cam is gonna be one of the hottest commodities of all time.
He's gonna be a franchise quarterback coming off of a really great year where he's an unrestricted free agent, which means every single team can bid on him.
And I promise you that Carolina Panthers will not be the team with the most cap room in the NFL, which means that any other team with cap room who needs a quarterback could could pick him up.
We could have no say in the matter right next that followed.
Uh, we could have no say in the matter or or on the flip side, we'll lose Cam for nothing left to the flip side.
If Cam plays in the last year of his deal and he plays bad or even plays decent.
But you know, the old line isn't all that great.
The DVD isn't all that great and doesn't translate the winning.
You can play it because he wants to, but if you're losing and we get to the end of the season, if you place bad place, bad unifies bad or just decent rest all right, then we we went to the whole season and did not get anything for him.
Which means we missed out on getting picks and pulling in $18 million on the cap toe sign, a free agent or several, or maybe two free agents when we could have a little picks and money that we could have gotten four cam.
Now he missed out on, and all we have is a mediocre season out of them to show for it.
I'm not saying that even Max he's gonna he's gonna have the best season of his career this upcoming season, which I don't believe since the old lines on that great and where the defense of these a lot of help.
But if he has, and I would say he has, he's gonna have the worst year of every quarterback of all time.
This upcoming season, it will be somewhere around the middle.
We get franchise tag, bro.
If we franchise tackle quarterback, that would be at that.
That's that's horrible.
That would be horrid.
That that is, guarantees that Cam is gonna be gone.
We could we could franchise tag him.
But if I'm camp and I get franchise tag, there is no way I ever signed an extension with the Panthers.
Ah, franchise tag on Lee for players.
Well, for ties tag on.
Lee works in the favor of the team.
That's a one year deal, and you don't get long term.
You don't get ah, you don't get long term job security with that, bro.
I would be insulted as a quarterback if I got franchise tag.
Kind of like Kirk Cousins Kurt, but mean, Kurt just kept betting on himself.
Kirk said, Look, you gotta give me this much money this year and then it goes up again hugely the next year.
I mean, Kurt was all right.
He made his money and then made it again.
But for camp, it's gonna be kind of hard to do that since he had, since he is kind of good to the point where you have the maybe consider calling him injury prone.
Shoulder surgery sort of was still messed up, clean up, surgery, her shoulder again, then coming off, that coming off of cleaning it up and after got hurt.
You get a foot injury and you're still not 100% guaranteed.
Sure, just how good that shoulder looks because we only saw him play in a couple of games.
It's kind of it's kind of a hard sell Thio.
Get him on our franchise tag, and then then what do you do if I'm Cam and I come out on the other side of that franchise? Tag healthy? This is not a chance I ever signed a long term deal. The Panthers.
It's kind of insulting if your NFL team your franchise tag your quarterback ah franchise kind of quarterback.
I just never was timed them again ever.
But we could we really good.
That's a lot of money, though.
There's a lot of money.
I just don't think the team is Is a Cam Newton away from success next season? I think the team just needs at least at least one, but probably closer to two or three years to rebuild the old line.
Rebuild the defense.
Let it coach, come in and get this thing get.
Ah, get his gaze.
Culture It is, ah, scheme in place.
I don't know how long we'll be running this 34 because we we, uh How can I put this for the most part, that place that we signed for the 34 are gonna be gone.
So we could we could really make Brian Byrnes play a 43 kind of roll or wake up, make Brian Regan put Brian Burns in a 43 kind of roll.
Uh, I don't know just how well the 34 looks for us.
I mean, well, we can't stop the run.
We're gonna have to find your way.
We can stop the run, which is gonna be a problem.
It's gonna be a problem.
So I have a feeling that Hubble schemes are gonna be changing very, very soon.
Um, I'm just I'm just not sure about a man.
I'm very sure that this team, as is constructed right now and as it will be constructed next season at the very, very least will not be a singular Cam Newton away from success.
Uh, and in all this, all this unsure ity all this, You know, not getting any news from camp camping away from the team can not getting served with the team doctors being away, which I recovering in Atlanta isn't as big a deal for me, but with David Tepper talking a lot about him watching a healthy cam doing and wanted to make sure he's healthy not committing to him, which is hard to like, get mad about that.
You want to make sure he's healthy before he actually commit, But then saying that he'd be open toe any kind of trade talks if you're if you're a cam or a super Camden family.
I'm a big camp fan, but also can see it from the franchises.
If you're Kim, you're hearing this guy say I'm open to trade talks like, ****, I really don't believe me.
Do we know he don't he like I understand it's a business, but ****, he really just does not believe in me.
I can come back.
I still think I can come back like the whole league on fire.
But if this guy don't want me, then hey, it is what it is.
I don't feel even if I understood the business part of it.
If I know you just this is it.
It feels personal.
Even if you don't even know it's business, It probably does feel personal to camp.
We'll **** well, eh, There's gonna be a team.
Someone that believed in me enough to sign beyond Daphne Motivation.
That's how we should feel.
And I'm not saying it's gonna happen.
I'm coming more like trading, whatever.
But that's what it's seeming like here.
The whole surgery stuff coming at this time.
Him deciding to get surgery the day after Ron Rivera is ah is fired.
As the coach tells me a little something, I mean, it makes me it makes me question what's going on here, mixing question.
What's going on here because what? Why, why wait so long in the first place? And then why decide to get the surgery right after on a very gets fired.
It's kind of it's really it's Yeah, maybe as a lot of questions.
But start off right now.
I am gonna come back on here.
I think tomorrow have video talking about what The Q B situation should be next year.
So I have a I don't want to call it crazy idea, but I got I got a pretty interesting take on what our Q B situation should be next year while the team rebuilds.
And I think we're in for at least a couple seasons of rebuild mode.
Either way, man, thank you all for coming through.
I'll be on tomorrow again.
Office. More videos on YouTube tomorrow.
Until then, stay safe.
