That's my kid bitten, opening up care.
It actually kind of hurts.
Like if I So, um, since he did it like I've had, like, weird, like my nose will start to run or my nose Will Ranley hurt because of right where he bit it is like this whole.
He got his whole mouth around my own somehow, because that's what happens when a toddler gets too close to you.
And then they it was really rough.
Are you hiding? Yeah.
So, like, you see, it says that we have to viewers us.
Well, that's why I'm looking at that.
I'm like, I kind of think these numbers might be a little fudged up, but anyway, I say we give it till about the one minute mark, and then we'll kick this thing off.
So what, we're gonna run through our picks and everything and then just kind of general news.
Well, I don't know.
There's a whole heck of a lot of really hard news.
We had a few injuries, but it doesn't look like anything devastating.
Uh, it might be that.
Oh, really? How about that's the one thing I didn't I didn't see his injury.
But we'll take that because you you know about it.
I'm gonna Oh, that's magic.
I need you to not throw that interception there.
Who do you start, Thio.
It looks like pool.
Ah, he's been a monster for GDP fantasy.
But anyway, we're getting off top.
We should actually do the intro for the eight folks that are viewing now.
Yeah, What's up, guys? Welcome back to the good iron ratings SportsCastr show.
This is just a midday review of what's happened so far in the game.
We'll talk a little bit about our takes earlier today what we hit on what we didn't hit on.
But then also, some pretty big news in the NFL.
Just kind of with players and their health and so on and so forth.
I'm Ronnie again.
It's always over there.
That's Jeff, uh, over over there on, uh, on Twitter at great armed rating with us is the SEC, Twitter gridiron ratings dot com.
And then I'm on Twitter at Ronnie Evans Jeffs on Twitter at Jeff or NFL Underscore.
So what do you wanna talk about? First, Jeff Frank Gore is killing me right now.
Now just getting Let's just go in order, man.
Let's take these games out.
The order in which we hit him earlier.
And what kind of shoot through, Um, let's go with then the Bears and the Panthers.
That was a game that we took the over on, didn't go over and pick Carolina toe win.
Carolina didn't win.
So really there.
Really, Jack that one up we had D J.
Moore went five for 93.
That was one of our guys we liked for Carolina.
That's not a bad game you're talking about.
You know, guys, it's probably a wide receiver to I'll take that you're talking 14 15 points in a 90 p.
Teddy, be really let us down, though.
No, you know, no touchdowns.
Two interceptions really hurt us.
When we definitely missed on there, we kind of thought he'd at least come out, maybe get us, you know, to 25 a couple touchdowns, and he really kind of, uh, really let us down.
Yeah, they look pretty good the last few weeks, but right seemed off this week, which, you know, that happens in the NFL.
Maybe the Bears defense.
You know, I had made reference that there's just not being as good as a record indicated.
And maybe this defense got some shades of what we have seen a couple of years ago under Vic Fangio, where they're actually not that bad right there.
Really a little a shadow of how great that defense waas.
But, I mean, they ran the ball pretty well.
You know, Montgomery was a solid RV to like we talked about, you know? He got you 13.
7 14 points this week.
Alan Robinson didn't do much.
Nick Foles needs to play better if this Bears team is gonna keep up this this hot streak.
But I mean, yeah, there's something's gotta give here.
I'd like to see Carolina playing a little bit better against better competition.
Um, it was frustrating.
David Montgomery did have a touchdown, but then I got called back and then folds Ran it in.
Um, that actually happened in a few.
Quite a few little, uh, hate ESPN websites.
Auto play stuff.
Um, quite a few different vulture moments and brought take back moments from scores that weren't scores today.
But yeah, Alan Robinson.
It was just kind of, I don't know, a It was really for me when I was watching that game.
The it was the Panthers just did not seem like they're game plan was converting really hardly anything for most of the game.
I don't know if that was the hold on.
I'm gonna talk. It was it was unfortunate.
Watch. Let me close this stupid ESPN.
You take over for a second.
I was trying to look up the box score.
Okay, E, I think what you're trying to say here is that Carolina didn't look like themselves.
It looked a little disheveled offensively.
They certainly didn't have it together defensively.
And that really was a great recipe for Chicago to play.
Okay, but not great.
And still pull out a win.
Cool. So distracted.
Trying to close all these ESPN pop ups.
Never use going to that web while we're live again.
Yeah, These rookie moves around here, that's what we dio.
Well, the next game was Detroit.
So how did we look on that one? Do you have that pulled up? Yeah.
So that one took the under on that it went under took Detroit to cover.
So that worked out as well.
Hit on everything Vegas wise.
And then, from a fantasy standpoint, Golladay had a monster game 105 yards for receptions.
And let's see e was actually Swift.
He went 14 for 1 16 2 touchdowns.
He also caught three passes for seven yards.
Didn't really do anything there, but got you about 29 fantasy points in a PPR.
You know, here's the thing.
Adrian Peterson didn't look that good.
Swift was decisive.
He was explosive.
He looked great running the football finally, like, This is the guy We saw it.
This is the guy that was, you know, a top dynasty pick this year.
This is the guy a lot of people have been waiting to see, and I think that Jacksonville leaves a lot to be desired defensively.
But if we could get this kind of decisiveness and explosiveness out of him every week, there's no reason why he can't find himself like we talked about the earlier show as a really viable player, especially come fantasy playoff time.
This is the guy you need to have your lineup.
He'll end up being a running back to maybe three.
You'll use them in flex spots, and he's going to give you great numbers.
Weekend week out, provided he keeps the vision, keeps that decisiveness.
Well, I think that he will.
It means when teams come out of a buy and a player that they wanted to feature, that hasn't been all of a sudden blows up, those tend to stick.
And so I believe in swift rest of season.
Um, I would be moving them up my rankings for sure, and don't know the Adrian Peterson thing is like he's still good.
He didn't look as great, but he's just not a versatile back anymore.
He's just kind of guy that will blow through some people when he can and run forward.
And so swift coming into his own is something they really need on that offense.
Um, might say, map Patricia's job.
Yeah, um, and then on the other end, we talked about sitting shark, but actually, I wish I had played shark instead of Chanel.
Neither of them really had great games.
It was really the Cuban Coal show.
You know, I overlook.
Cole has always been kind of a streaky guy where he'll have, like, blood games like this, and then he won't do anything for four weeks and then I'll have, like, a streak of three games.
He's just random like that, but six for 1 43.
I mean, that was It was impressive.
I mean, we talked about killing cold, the pregame show and the big thing we mentioned was he's had five targets every week.
They're trying to get him involved.
Sharks been nursing the ankle and then the foot in the hamstring like he's had all these little Knick and Knack injuries.
He performed better than I thought he would, And his numbers are really carried by one long catch like he didn't really look that great.
On the whole, he was targeted in the end zone.
It was a great play by the defensive back, got it knocked away.
But at the end of the day, he didn't really play that great like he was really a boomer bust play today where Coal was the guy.
It seems like they're getting him involved underneath.
He's becoming the guy we all expected.
Dede Westbrook to be two years ago where he'd start to get a lot of volume underneath, figured out in the slot, get him in mismatches and let him make plays.
Well, killing coals.
Being that guy, he's running those out routes.
The drags, the post.
He's all over the field.
Six for 1 43 was too bad he couldn't get the touch.
But that's a great week, and we'll take that.
Yeah, yeah, for sure.
James Robinson was actually pretty disappointing in this game, the first game I've watched this year where I thought he actually looked like an undrafted free agent.
That time Steve has been playing out of his mind, so I feel like it's probably just a nawf game.
But I mean, the JAG says the whole are terrible.
And Gardner Minshew I've given up on that hype trainer that mean train.
If you want to call it that there.
He's not gonna be the guy next year, so Wow.
But anyway, that that game in and of itself was certainly an interesting one.
It was a frustrating, frustrating gettinto watch.
In general, if you have any Jacksonville players, if you played keeling colder, you got lucky.
Um on the next one.
It was Atlanta at Minnesota on, and the Falcons kicked there.
But, I mean, it was a It was a really thorough, just like from start to finish complete out to the woods.
Yeah, and I actually want to talk about the Vikings player.
It's more, though, but Julio is back eight for 1 37 to on.
And then we talked about Todd Gurley finally getting involved in the passing game and then nothing today.
But here's what he did have he had 20 carries that that might have been game script, right? But still that out? That Atlanta A line, though, is bad.
Todd Gurley was constantly running into purple and white shirts and it was not his fault, you know, if he would have now granted, if he would have improvised mawr, he might have been able to make something out of those.
But if you're gonna go ahead and you're gonna pop right through the whole because that's what he supposed to do, right? Supposed to go? Hey, drive that gap.
Drive that whole And there's three defenders there, like you have a quarter of a second to react.
That's rough, man.
So it was a tough day.
You like to see Hey, he got the volume.
He was targeted a few times.
Only had two catches it plenty of carries.
You know that kind of volume for a guy like Todd Gurley? Even with his question marks, you love to see it because that's gonna be the stuff that will keep rolling over week to week, and it will turn into more fantasy points agreed.
On the flip side, D.
Metcalf has kind of been the young receiver with all the hype in the NFL so far this year.
But like Jessica Jefferson is playing out of his mind, especially the last few games on Dynasty.
It's gonna be a really interesting conversation if he keeps these kind of explosive weeks coming throughout the rest of the season off and on, Uh, nine for 166 and two again, basically the same stats He had 32 weeks ago, Great week.
Last week he looks legit.
Aan den feeling played well.
We got hurt but had like, 50 50 yards and touchdowns.
I'm like, Yeah, he went 51 of the touch Jefferson was nine for 1 66 and two, and almost all of it came in the second half.
Kirk Coat in the first half went for like 100 yards passing and three interceptions.
He went for three touchdowns and over 300 yards or something in the second half of the whole time in the first half, right? He doesn't get credit for those yards, though.
Um, so at the end of the day, though, we talked about in the pregame.
Hey, Jefferson's the guy like they're gonna go ahead.
They're gonna probably try and pop two bodies over feeling because he's been so great all year.
Jefferson's gonna be running all over the field and he waas So there it is.
I threw in a few DFS lineup, so I hope you did the same.
Well, I didn't buy.
I was more referring to get you every line up.
Uh, say what? I was referring to it to our viewers and listeners.
There's no e was like, yeah, I e d f stuff was on me.
Um, but I was in the Madison.
The other thing, that was like, Well, that that was fun to talk about while it lasted.
Dalvin Cook will be back after the bye.
Well, we said and again, I like to always reference what we talked about earlier.
Right? We said to sell him.
If he's on your roster right now, go trade him right now.
Go sell them on high.
Go get rid of him.
Because, you know, I I didn't say specifically that he was gonna tank out here, but we all knew that he was in expiring.
You know, asset.
He was a piece where you could move him and get a couple of pieces to help over the next three or four weeks.
That was a better move for your roster than to keep Madison, Madison, you know, crap.
This week, he's not playing next week due to the bi and then cook his back like he's a high caliber handcuffed, potentially in most weeks.
But if you don't have cook, he's not worth that much to you, Right? Moving on to the next one.
It was Houston at Tennessee and this 10 in the Falcons fight, and we hit on the over and Atlanta winning.
But Texans Titans.
We took the overtook Tennessee said they were going to cover.
All of that ended up happening.
I got a little little ****ky there at the end.
It was a great game.
Uh, they called The recovery is the most terrifying human being playing professional sports right now.
Uh, I would not like football anymore if he wasn't on my team and I was playing defense because I would never want to play against him.
Yeah, yeah, there's eso.
We were talking Jacqueline Hyde on Derrick Henry, right? Because he had been up and down so much all year. And so touchdown dependent.
He got two games worth of yards this week.
Hangs 200 right? So we get you to 12 and two this week, which is absolutely bananas.
You know, depending on your bonuses and all that kind of stuff, he might have gotten you dang near 40 in your PPR, even standard leagues.
You know, I'm still selling.
I think Derrick Henry scares me because he doesn't do anything in the passing game.
He just doesn't unless he catches like a screen.
He requires such a head of steam.
But man when he gets it.
He is the most dangerous guy in the league.
I think since 2018 he has to 200 yard games and the rest of the league combines for 2 200 yard games.
Like he'll get you that, but also give you 44 no touchdowns.
So the that range of possibilities get so broad where you either need to have enough high floor guys on your team to balance out that risk.
Or you need to sell him after a monster week like this and just get a King's ransom for him and then move on to the championship without him.
What, what do you think he eats like? What is his diet? Yeah, people like professional wrestlers like that way.
Yeah, he probably has servings of meat and potatoes that are larger than the rock.
Um, outside of that, though, jokes aside, I mean, he looked great.
Brown had a perfectly fine game, 5 56 and two.
We had also talked about Fuller and Watson, both having good games and sure enough, Watson 3 35 and four great game from him most of the second half, but still on.
11 receptions for 123 yards and a touchdown.
That's that's a will Fuller, you know. Thank you.
He'll go out and get three catches for 20 yards next week, but great job this week for move forward.
Well, this is another one of those.
So we talked about Atlanta, right? Coach getting fired.
It kind of flips the script, like they now they have something to prove because they got that guy fired.
Now they have to show themselves everybody else that they don't suck.
Right? Um, Houston's kind of in the same boat, So seeing Watson really get unleashed is only gonna make Fuller better.
And I think over the next several weeks, you know, as they really kind of, you know, unleash him a little bit and let him just play quarterback.
Kind of the way Russ has been allowed to cook, so to speak.
They let Watson cook.
Fuller's gonna put up these numbers every week, but we try to put the bridal pack on him, try to rein him in it all.
Fuller is gonna give you those four for 30 weeks, and then he's going to give you a 10 for, you know, 1 40 a touchdown.
It's gonna be all over the board, But my bet is that Will Fuller to Shawn Watson should be fine the rest of the way.
After seeing what I saw against Tennessee's defense provided, they just keep letting them cook.
Sure, Um, that game as a whole was just like an amazing I think that, Yeah, it was really fun to watch, but we didn't really speak about him at all.
But Ryan Tannehill is now, I think through the last 20 games, at least since he started starting for Tennessee, he is the number one quarterback in fantasy now, or at least number two.
It might still be Lamar by hair.
Uh, we for sure.
I think I saw similar stat where before this week, he was like the number three fantasy quarterback over the last 20 regular season games, right? And this is all me, just like assuming.
But I I saw the same thing and he had an incredible game today.
Uh, I mean, I never really thought I would be saying it, but I'd be completely fine, starting him over all but maybe like three or four quarterbacks each week, depending on their matchups.
He's he's proven to be consistent.
I think the thing with Tannehill is that it seems like it's less that he has things like monstrous games, but his floor is just kind of set.
I mean, he's gonna get you 200 yards and a couple touchdowns every week.
Minimum on DSO, anyway.
Just side note there.
Tannehill one league.
It's really tough, because this because he's been what you really need out of a starting quarterback in a single quarterback, please, you have to be a 275 yards passing every single week.
You need that because touchdowns or fluky right, and if you happen to throw an interception, it hurts your touchdowns.
So if you're getting to 75 passing and 2 to 2.
5 touchdowns a week, you're usually a top half.
You know Q B one there that you've got a rock solid guy.
The thing with Tannehill's that we have so much background with him, where he's been so bad for so long and so up and down that it's hard to trust him now in Tennessee, right, Because we know A J.
Brown is a monster.
We know Derrick Henry is a monster.
Henry doesn't do anything in the past game.
Jonno Smith was in witness protection this week.
We don't really understand where all these, you know, touchdowns, moral, these yards, air coming from still.
And I think that that's where fantasy players were really struggling to come to grips with him being that kind of top flight player.
Especially when you consider having Lamar Jackson's Russian floor, Carla Murray's rushing floor, Patrick Mahomes and all of his tools and shenanigans like it gets so, so tough where I can understand in a one Q B where Tannehill might be on your, you know, scrapheap.
But then you go when you go into two Q B League.
Like if he's your second quarterback.
You're probably one in your league.
And then the other guy that we didn't have any notes on beforehand, I didn't even know who this guy was.
But Anthony for HKSAR.
Oh, dude, First there was a man last year, had three or four touchdowns last year.
I mean, who is that? Then where did he come from? E guess Tor Davis has just gone now it s Oh, yeah, You've got the thing.
He's been on the coded list, so he's done.
But I mean, first was a guy they picked up a couple of years ago.
He is, uh, he didn't actually go to college.
I don't think he went to Harvard or Yale or he went to some Ivy League school.
He didn't goto college.
You know, University.
Well, well, well, that's the thing is, I think, when he was on TV, once, I remember him saying What school? And it was like his high school, so he didn't refer to a college, But I believe he had gone to an Ivy League school.
I'd have to actually look that up.
But I don't like Harvard, Yale, Princeton, one of those joints.
But he's been in the league for a couple of years now.
He actually burst out last year a little bit when Johnny Smith and Delaney Walker and all those guys were all hurting underperforming, and he was a kind of goal line through it last year.
So he's that guy where he kind of just pops in and out of the picture.
He's kind Humphries, where it's like, Oh, there he is And then he disappears.
Well, up there is, um but no, I mean Tannehill to your point, is a rock solid dude.
I wouldn't mind plugging them in if I've got a buyer or her quarterback.
But, man, I would probably still be really uneasy if he was my number one of the one. Q B League.
Yeah, that's fair.
Um, moving on to the Washington football team and the New York Giants right Snooze fest.
Wasn't really excited about that game.
Turned out to be agreed.
Um, but we were wrong about one thing.
Took the over and that said so.
Draw on the line.
New York one by one point.
That was the spread.
But we did pick New York to win the game.
So decent turnout there within that game.
I don't know you.
You talked about McLaren.
I disagreed with him.
He went seven for 74.
That's perfectly fine.
Week, um, wide receiver to in a PPR.
Yeah, but Gibson did not really look great.
He continued that he had, like, four or five runs where he just ran into three of his line and e just like I don't know.
I think he has so much potential.
But I remain vigilant in my opinion, that I had before the season started that he was a guy that just needs, like, a year toe, learn how to actually play running back.
He'll be a guy that will get you something every once in a while and give you like a seven or 8.
4 and then have the games.
But kind of what I expected out of that Slaten.
Did he get hurt? Well, he was already nursing an injury when he came into the game and he had he went to for 41 of the touchdown.
And then I believe you had a second big play that was called back due to a penalty.
He looked good, but for the most part they were running them deep.
They weren't using them underneath.
And I think some of that is a function of just kind of being easy on him because they want to risk further injury.
Um, but yeah, I mean, I didn't get a game that I watched a ton of.
I only knew that about Gibson because I every time I tuned into this game, he was running into his line.
And so yeah, well, and the thing of Gibson is that he really needs to be used in space.
This is the guy that was effectively a wide receiver at Memphis.
He's not a natural running back.
He is a natural wide receiver, so asking him to negotiate, you know, blocking patterns and trying to figure out how to find the hole and how to find cutback lanes.
And all of that isn't natural for him.
What they should be doing right now is getting him into space, using in the screen game a little bit more.
I'd love to see him getting out of the backfield and getting more targets.
He should be targeted between five and eight times a game, considering how just, you know, depleted their skill positions are.
But the fact that he's only getting between two and four targets a week is embarrassing, and the Washington football team needs to understand that this guy, despite his size, is not Adrian Peterson, not them in there.
Between the tackles 25 times a game and getting 120 yards.
That's not who he is.
Get him in space.
Let him catch the ball, Let him victimize a safety or a linebacker trying to cover him or put him out in the slot.
Let him beat some people because once he had the ball in his hands, he is dangerous.
But if you give him the ball and then slam him up in the behind all these old lineman and there's no hole there like forget it, it's worthless like we saw today.
Yeah, yeah, he just he needs more refinement.
I think that he will be able to be that player eventually.
It's the one thing about him that makes him so appealing.
Has he like he has the body type to do that? And you got quite for three down Bell Cal running back here.
I just don't think he mentally like he hasn't played that position before.
I guess it really comes down to not only hasn't had the reps, So right on then an Ingram.
Yeah, back then.
I mean, the giants as a whole kind of squeaked by this.
They fell forward into this wind.
Uh, it's kind of an unpleasant showing from pretty much everyone over there.
Yeah, we said this one was gonna be hard to watch.
And realistically, like Evan Ingram, I don't know that he even got off the bus when he was a non factor, which is really sad, embarrassing, because the Washington football team was one of the worst teams in the league.
In terms of allowing points to the tight end, there was like them and the Bengals of the two teams.
You want to target the tight end against and they didn't even bother.
Um, let's move on to the Cleveland and Pittsburgh.
Yeah, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, With this game we took the over on it.
Didn't expect the Browns to just decide not to play football for a day, Um, but Pittsburgh by one around, like the 2015 Brown's.
I don't know which Brown's team just showed up, but it was weird.
I mean, we took Pittsburgh to win and to cover, and they certainly did both of those.
But Baker Mayfield was dinged up coming into this game, and then Pittsburgh just overwhelmed him with their boots packages, and he looked lost um, Then he got hurt again.
They got benched.
I mean, it was it was old.
It was like the Browns we know versus the Browns with the last couple weeks s O.
That was, as expected as it could be.
Historically speaking at least, uh, but anyway, really, just a total shutdown.
I talked about the Packers being the best team in the NFL, but I think there's a real argument to be made for the steal builders as well.
Um, especially after what we've seen so far this year.
I mean, they not only have elite offense, but their defense might be the best in the NFL, right? I mean, they just had dangerous players at every level.
You know, when you talk about the browns and you talk about Baker Mayfield, you know, he was dinged up.
Uh, he was playing bad.
He was playing poor the entire game.
I don't know that there was.
Yeah, he got, you know, dinged up during the game or whatever.
He was benched because he was playing very poorly.
We talked about in the pregame.
This is a guy where if you could get after him early you're gonna ruin him for the entire game.
And that hurt Kareem Hunt.
That hurt Odell Beckham, which was some of the stuff we pointed out 4.
5 points per Odell, 7.
You're playing in PPR like it was a rough day, and Baker needs to show that he's the guy from his rookie season and not the guy from last season.
And right now, because this looks like 2019 Baker all over again.
And if that's the case, the Cleveland Pounds need to make a real decision about his future because after this year, they have to decide on his fifth year option.
Yeah, and you know, with the dearth of quarterbacks coming out in this draft, everybody's at risk like there's no reason for a team to say, Well, Baker, you're playing really badly.
We're gonna renew your option because there's no quarterbacks.
No, that's not more.
There is a whole bevy of quarterbacks coming out in this draft and the next one.
So a lot of these quarterbacks have been playing badly that would get record contracts, aren't getting them anymore, so he needs to get his crap together really quick or he won't be there or anywhere else, right? Yeah.
Just the awful showing by them.
On the on the flip side, the Steelers James Connor had a great game, is showing that he really is like a serious fantasy asset juju who kind of got phased out.
He got Joe Haydon, if you will.
But James Washington showed up.
And there's this trend right now of these Steelers players where you have, like, the apex guy, whatever it is for that week, uh, has a game, and that s so the X and the wide receiver will one of them will have a great game.
The other one won't.
And then this, like third receiver, will come in and just blow up.
It's happened, I think.
Three of the four games so far with Steelers.
So this week it was James Washington.
If De Andre Johnson is back next week, I would actually say it'll be chased.
But, um, we talked about this in week two.
It's just a team where kind of a round robin fantasy production, uh, right receiver.
That's and I think Chase Claypool's a guy where you can plug him into the flex right now. Probably.
Especially with my week.
I don't know if I'm gonna use him from week to week juju.
If you've got them right now and you can sell them, I probably would.
But moment, Johnson healthy.
James Washington gets phased out again.
Yeah, The only thing I want out of that offense right now, though, I mean, outside of counter is gonna be big.
Then give me Roethlisberger.
Because if nothing else, he's making two receivers productive.
You never know who they're gonna be.
So take the quarterback and go ahead and get those productive guys just like that.
Especially if you have a shaky quarterback situation.
You know, you're running out there with breeze or car or something like that.
Roethlisberger's a guy that could make you better instantly for sure for sure.
Um, ready to go onto the next game set up.
So next one, we had Ravens and the eagles.
Um, this game, like, looked like it was gonna be an absolute slaughter.
And then the eagles found some unknown juju there at the end.
Uh, made it close.
Unfortunately, we had taken Baltimore to cover and they were going to cover up until the last minute and a half or so.
Way beating last about 2.
5 of that game, right, but took the overtook Baltimore to win.
They handled business as to be expected.
Lamar looked as the same as he did all week, all year.
So far, it's just it's not an accurate quarterback, but great fantasy asset.
And then Zach Ertz went out.
We talked about that in a second, but from our take standpoint, um, I don't know why you give him a run through report.
Well, we did see Lamar Jackson be like Lamar Jackson from last year, and really, we got some of that back.
So he went from 1 86 and a passing touchdown.
Was it pretty? Nobody gave you 118 to touch down on the ground.
That really sal***ed the day.
Probably got you about 30 and most leagues.
That's what we're looking for. Looking for fantasy points.
I don't care how he gets him right.
Duvernay was the stretch guy we talked about, you know, the gadget player that were kind of expecting of a greater role moving forward.
He was targeted three times.
He had three catches, 31 yards.
He's also working special teams.
So if you get any return yards, points or anything like that, Duvernay probably got you anywhere between, you know, six and and 10 points, depending on return yards.
Dobbins we're worried about his touches were like, Hey, is he going to get any? Ingram went down with an injury.
We talked about him.
He's basically dusted.
Man, that guy's toast.
We're gonna be done with Ingram by this time next year.
Yeah, he had 11 touches.
He only put up 29 yards.
But outside of this week, I feel like every time Dobbins touched the ball, he was making something good happen.
So I really want him to be the guy that we're gonna go lean on moving forward and I lean on, he's gonna be running back three in your lineup.
Well, it's actually stolen quite a few touches from me and stole a touchdown.
And so that really hurts.
I mean, that was inside the 10 yard touchdown.
So when you talk about those, you know, when you get into the red zone, you're losing touch is there. That's rough.
And that's why he's gonna be that kind of, you know, running back three or four on your roster and not a one or a two because he's not getting those goal line touches.
That's gonna be all Gus Bus.
And But I do like Dobbins is a dynasty asset.
He's a guy that should definitely be rostered.
You should be highly valued because maybe not this year, but next year, the year after, as you know, we start to see the Gus Bus is fall out of the way and Ingram gets dust and he's off the roster.
You know it's gonna come down to being Dobbins, Jackson, Duvernay, Brown, Andrews like That's the core of this offense.
So, you know, I feel like those were all really good things to see.
Earth's did get hurt.
He was four for 33 got banged up.
I want to say that the end of the third quarter beginning of the fourth, and he ended up out of the game during that stretch, where Philadelphia went nuts and started scoring a bunch of points.
Uh, which crazy about that is mild.
Sanders was off the field and Zach Ertz was off the field.
Then all of a sudden filly comes out and punches out two touchdowns toe to make this game.
You know, competitive again.
And they were a two point conversion away from forcing overtime.
So, Miles Sanders, nine for 1. 18.
He did have, Ah, pretty dubious fumble that that led to a touchdown by another player.
And so that that hurt, it was JJ Ortega Whiteside.
I think I got the touchdown there.
So nothing quite like seeing a crazy long run and then have it capped by another players from or recover it.
But, um, you know, Greg work slot receiver for Philly.
You know, he comes out, give you two for 19 and he fumbled twice.
We did talk about your folder.
Uh, you know, he actually had a pretty decent game.
He came out, he got some garbage time points in a hurry when there was no hurts.
And there was no Miles Sanders and all that, and, uh, I don't know if he's gonna play long term like that.
I think he's one of those guys where he's that short term fantasy.
Darling, I'm not putting a lot of weight into that guy, especially once we start seeing.
Got her comeback.
Sanders gets healthy again.
Hurts is healthy, you know, rigor.
There's just too many other players there for me to feel like this.
25 year old pseudo journeymen is gonna be a long term impact player, but yeah, I mean, we weren't too far off in terms of what we were expecting fantasy wise, but yeah, I would love to see her.
If hurts hadn't gotten injured, he would have been the focus of that final drive.
So that would have been fine on and Anders injury.
What I saw from a few people that do like fantasy ****ysis.
There's a fantasy doctors that kind of hit or miss with a lot of that stuff.
But they broke it down and pointed out a couple things that resonated with me. One.
He got injured didn't really look bad.
He kind of jogged off the field and then was immediately ruled out after they checked his knee out of the blue tent.
Uh, what they do when these players get injured, especially with lower leg injuries, will take in the blue tent and they'll perform like movement, test.
Um check the ability of all the tendons and e or in the ankles and so, so long and so forth and with what this guy was saying was that in a tight game like that, with a chance to come back, game is kind of on the line.
He's your starting running back.
He was tweaked, goes in the tensions immediately out there is something there.
And so whether it is, they think it's an M p l.
There. Excuse me, a meniscus.
But it also could be in the aggravation of the M.
L that he was having troubles with off season.
Hopefully, it's nothing serious.
I I imagine if they knew for sure it was a tendon tear, we would have found out by now.
But I would not expect him to be playing on Thursday.
Um, and that's just kind of the information I have on it right now.
Well, if he's out, we're looking at Boston Scott as being the guy against the Giants.
With Boston, Scott would be immediately elevated to, at worst, a mid level RB two.
At best, he's gonna be a low end RV one, which is crazy to think about, but everyone's hurt.
They don't have anybody in a short week.
I don't expect them to get anybody back.
So e, I wouldn't want to fire up Boston Scott at that point.
He played for them earlier, and it wasn't even his fault.
Now, with Sanders and Earth's getting injured and Goddard still recovering people of their starters before the season started our health.
It's right on the offensive line and wince.
And if you bothered player on that offense is a back.
And so I would just kind of then maybe folk, um, you, anything you remind you what happened last year, Though Miles Sanders went down, he had to keep being spelled late last season, Boston Scott came in and he just kept catching short passes and turning them into 15 yard gains.
Yeah, he's not gonna be Oh, you got at the end of the game, right? Yeah, and that's where I think Boston Scott is gonna be a high value target for next week, even on a short week.
Because he's a veteran, he's a savvy guy.
He's been around and really, it's not a new role for him, so he can step right against a pretty bad defense and make some place.
But, you know, on a Thursday, it's gonna be really tough toe to stomach that if you've got to sit another worthwhile options.
So I think it really depends on the roster construction.
Last two here, Bengals, Colts.
We took the over on that game, certainly hit that.
And then we had taken since Ito win.
And so, technically speaking, we got the line correct because India did not cover but did win.
And since he had a chance to but untimely interceptions from Joe Burrow at the end, they're not what you want to see.
I thought he looked great for 90% of the game, kind of back to his old self.
Green showed up and, uh, actually played well, which was interesting.
Um, Tee Higgins, though he's a future and he looks good, E said he looks really good.
It's That was your hopeful pick.
I had, actually, you know, put him in a couple starting lineups due to a lack of other options.
I was like, you know, this feels like a Higgins week.
Submit and he paid it off with a six for 1 25 line.
He had a huge, like, 40 yard catch down the sideline, and it was a shame because it was really close to being a touchdown the Bengals should have had.
I think I counted out four different times where they had a big play to get them inside the five, and they just couldn't finish with that touchdown right there.
And that's where we kept seeing Geo Bernard coming by the goal line.
And you and I are both tearing our hair out because we're seeing this, you know, scatback type player coming in when you've got bigger, more talented guy and mixing just standing on the sideline.
And it was just the most stressful thing I think I've ever seen.
It's like, Why would you pull, you know, the best, one of the best running backs, most talented running backs in the league, off the field to put in Geo Bernard.
That makes me really questions that back. That's great.
Um, makes it look fun in this game.
I mean, like, you look great, you got dinged up wasn't used as much from the second half but fine, all health permitting.
And, ah, couple penalties aside, he could have had, you know, in 18 for 80 and to type of day.
And we wouldn't be doing right now day for fantasy.
I'll take that all day.
Yeah, yeah, 18 54 and one is a fine 54 1 is a fine find game for a fantasy player in general.
It's still not what you want out of Joe Mixon, considering you probably drafted in the first round, right or early second and even still, if you're in that window, the expectation is that you're not getting a guy like Geo Bernard, who's about 40 running backs in the league, stepping in and taking his touches like Zach Taylor needs to show a better understanding of its personnel so that we can start seeing the right people on the field of the right time.
And I understand Geo got one of the touchdowns.
But here's the thing.
If you get your starter that touchdown, how does that change their confidence level? And how does that change the complexion of the game for the player later on? You know, if you're continuing to pull this guy off when he could be scoring.
But you're gonna let him go ahead and smashed between the tens.
You know that player isn't really thrilled to that.
Players wanna score touchdowns, you know.
Let's call it what it is, right? So I really need to see Cincinnati make some adjustments there.
I don't know that it's gonna happen with Taylor.
I'm hoping the season grinds on that we continue to see mixing, you know, put up more and more of these really solid games.
You know, low end RB one high end RV to even, uh, just to be that that guy at the end of the season were like, Well, he finished years and r b A and that's where we drafted him.
Okay, that's fine.
But man, I'm telling you is that Taylor is trying his best to get in the way.
Yeah, yeah, on the other side of the ball rivers.
Not like the worst thing I've ever seen, you know, you know, decent place.
We're considering how we look this year at least.
I'll all rivers to throw two or more interceptions and get pulled for Jacoby per set.
And so when he goes for 3 71 and three.
It shocked me, too, because suddenly he was figuring out how toe move the ball around the field.
He finally found T Y Hilton for a touchdown.
Um, you know, he did have the one interception, but you know when you're throwing for 3 71 and 31 interception is fine.
When you got out there playing every position and scoring every touchdown for your team, you had a Russian.
She had a receiving one.
Jack Doyle had a receiving touchdown, and when Taylor look good, you know, he's 12 for 60.
That's five yards of carry.
Then he caught four passes for 55 more.
Remember when people thought he couldn't catch the ball? I watched him big catches and two big gains, and he looked really good in the open field, so I'd love to see that continue, because that'll make Jonathan Taylor one of those top three or four running backs in the season's over.
If we're seeing hey 12 to 15 carries for 60 to 80 yards, you get 4 to 6 catches for 50 to 60 or 70 yards.
Like that's the recipe to being an are the high end RB one at season's end.
Anything else from this game? You know? Not really.
Uh, but I mean, this was kind of one of those where, despite the point, it was a little hard to watch.
I mean, I watched a lot of it.
Borough, um, Broncos Patriots was the last 13 early slot.
This one we missed on all of it.
Hit the over thought New England was gonna win daddy yada yada came Newton decided to just not played football.
Yeah, he looked terrible.
The Broncos showed up, and I don't know, man, it's Ah, it was weird.
They looked like, pretty decent.
And I don't know if it was because the Patriots just didn't practice.
And maybe Bill Belichick secret to success is that he has to get a certain amount of practices in each week.
And then he gets, like, magic deal with the devil to find success on game day.
But all the time he was that if the Patriots don't practice, Bill Belichick can't implement his master plans.
And so I've learned my lesson.
Yeah, well, I think a big part of it is you know, like any team, right? They go is the quarterback goes, Cam comes out, he goes 1 57.
No touchdowns in two interceptions you can't have, even if you're putting in $600.
What's up you got stuffed on two goal line runs is, well, well.
He still had 10 for 76 a rushing touchdown despite those goal line stuffs.
And then he caught a pass for 18 yards like, But that's a lot of work for 16.
5 points, give or take like hey needs to play better.
This team is gonna be better.
You know? Demir Bird was a guy that we thought would be a wildcard.
Maybe next factor to do some things.
This week, he was three for 38.
There's a couple of other times where he was targeted and, you know, just couldn't make the play because Denver was all over him and they did a great job.
You know, Tim Patrick was my start of the week for Denver E hurt in the third quarter.
He was four for 101 no touchdowns.
But Denver was driving on that particular possession.
He just caught like a 30 or 40 yard pass gets banged up.
He's done for the rest of the day.
Uh, you know, Jerry, Judy was mostly shadowed by Gilmore, so he evaporated and Drew lock first game back.
He definitely had some rust, you know, 1 89.
No touchdowns, two interceptions.
Wasn't a guy that we called out to do anything necessarily, but he was back.
So it's gonna be interesting to see the offense ran.
And despite the wind, they didn't really run that Well, Uh, um, Judy also went out for a little while with the nicked up injury.
And with no a fan out as well.
I mean, we'll see in going up against Belichick.
I'm not reading too much into dreadlock this week.
Uh, very kind of perfect storm of stuff toe, you know, go, go against him.
But anyway, that game was just like it shocked me.
I thought that the Patriots gonna handle them, and it was the total opposite.
And there's always a game like that every week.
Last week, we had the Raiders being the Chiefs.
You know, there every week there is a just kind of flip reversal of roles.
Any given Sunday any other cliches, But that's the beauty of the NFL.
Yeah, that's and you know, here's the thing.
This game was in New England.
I don't know if there was that much money on Denver and New England, so if you took New England, you followed our lines on that.
You were probably following the crowd on that.
So you didn't lose any ground? Sure.
Um, but that's all I really had to add to that one.
Uh, there were there.
Was there one other injury that we didn't cover today? I didn't have a whole lot of injuries on deck.
There wasn't anything that stood out to me as being like cataclysmic, but let's see here.
I mean, let me just pull up the list and see if I'm leaving anybody out here.
Bump, bump, bump, bump, bump.
Um, got a little by little music here.
Well, apparently Mayfield Oh, gosh.
Devin Busch torn a c l.
That's the other one. Yeah.
Knew it was torn.
Torn something with the way they react in the way they pulled him out.
I'm starting three.
I d p leagues, so that would be, like, massive industry. Expertly.
But I'm in on, uh, game up until that point.
Yeah, he was looking pretty decent, and then that was the end of that.
But oh, well, what are you gonna dio? So, anyhow, so we're into a waiver show on Monday, right? Yeah.
So we'll do it at halftime of the eight o'clock game or the standard game.
Yep, that works for me.
So there's only one game in a while, right? Or is there too? I think there's two.
Aren't the Chiefs play tomorrow night? We've got the cheap game and somebody else e keep getting confused by all the reschedules e mails.
Yeah, we've got 10.
19. That's tomorrow.
We've got Kansas City in Buffalo and we've got the 8 15 game in Arizona.
Dallas? So yeah, games Monday night.
So we'll do it at about half time of the 8 15 game convict plant.
Well, like Bryant, So what? I'm sorry I said that.
That's that's everything from my end.
Yeah, well, I hope everyone who's watching and listening has had a great week.
I hope that the injury bug hasn't hurt you too.
