Okay, So by the looks of it, gonna have to hope that it goes live when the dust? No, Because if I switch it, go back to chrome and see if it's open, then it may not do it.
Well, it'll just cover your face for, like, five seconds.
What? This clean? What? England.
We're good to go. I believe so.
And let's check it out.
Make sure everything is up and running here.
And then we will get into all things.
Hey, how's it look? Huh? Looking good.
Let's see. Let's say I could hear it. Look at that.
We're looking all right.
I didn't Look at this.
It looks fantastic Club.
And I can't even I can't even fathom how good this is.
Yeah, Types off hockey.
We got a little hockey thing in the background.
We got our, uh, instagram in our jail twitter, Uh, watermark, everything.
Everything looks good, man.
What's going on? make love and we have a lot of NHL.
Um, you know, speculation.
Things going on for leading into the unrestricted free agency heading into draft of the drafts Tuesday on Wednesday, First round goes Tuesday, second through seventh.
Go on the Wednesday.
Pretty strange that they decided to do back to back days midweek.
Isn't that is that weird to you? I kind of thought this would have been more of like a Saturday Sunday thing.
I mean, I would get it if it was, because I know they were, like, squeezing in every game to just get it done.
But this is all virtual.
So it's not like they're, like, condensed in the bubble to try and get this done early.
So I don't get why they're like, trying to do it as early as they can.
Maybe because they just want free agency.
Toe is in free agency in the weekend, I think.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
That goes, the free agency ends up opening on what, the 12th or something like that.
Something like that.
So that would be in official day.
Well, the 12th would be a Monday.
Well, that makes sense.
So yeah, Free and see Monday.
Or is it Sunday? So it'd be the 11th.
When I'm done sharing this, and once we get the show underway, I'll definitely look into it.
Here, Give me once.
What did you do today with anything exciting? I had to go to Yeats House because she is with her new husband in New Hampshire.
They went for a weekend, a weekend away.
And it looks pretty nice up there.
So I had to go in and watch their cats and hang out there.
They're, like, annually stay there.
Just so they have some company for a couple hours, I'm like, Alright.
Yeah, makes sense.
Makes sense, right? You've got to make sure that the cats are okay, and I'll make sure that everybody is all good.
Make sure they're eating. Cats are pretty.
Are are pretty independent animals.
But speaking of animals, we're going to talk about some of these awesome unrestricted free agents coming up here.
Absolute beasts on this list, right? You know, when you look at the top three guys, um, on the NHL's like, you know, I usually look at the T s and, like the, uh, top 50 guys or whatever.
And, uh, you look across the top, you've got Alex Pietrangelo, Taylor Hall and Tory Crew.
I mean, I can't remember when was the last time there was three, like, awesome unrestricted free agents like that.
I can't even remember the last time that there was that many good unrestricted free agents like that Look like they're definitely hitting market.
Well, the last time I saw good free agents was that Ah, horrendous Summer of 2016 with the Luci Chishti oppose owes the lads.
The Bacchus is the Neil's.
Like that summer at the time, it looked like those were like home run hits.
But these guys are 15 times the players that those guys ever will be.
So yeah, this is uncharted territory.
It's gonna be an exciting day when that that time.
It's a good to see, you know, exactly when you could put pen to paper.
Now, one thing I will say is, I think that once you get out of the top and echelon guys, some teams were really going to try to test the resolve of these guys.
And I think you're going to see a lot of guys signed for less money, unless term than they ever would have expected.
Just given the coronavirus times in the state of the finances across the league.
But what we're gonna do today, MK 11 because we're gonna go through some of the top named guys.
I got a list of 53 agents coming up.
I got a type stuff hockey or make love in the top 15 that I put together.
Oh, top 15 from Nick Love. And I like that.
I'm on the TSN list here.
Did you put Did you post that already? What? But my top? Or did you just make your list? You told me to just make it, Make it.
But that's a great thing.
Just copy and paste that into a block their love.
And that's a great list to make love and stop 15 unrestricted free, but that it could be a little controversial.
But it's just the way I view of each of what each team could use in their assets.
And I feel like these guys have what it takes.
It's a creative Yeah, because he got bought out and just sign that one year deal with Tampa.
That's an interesting name out there, for sure.
He looked pretty.
He's on my list.
You looked more than capable.
Um, playing this playoffs, man, I gotta say pretty good.
Um, so we'll start right off the top.
We've got Alex Pietrangelo of the ST Louis Blues.
He's a right shot defenseman, 30 years old last season, at 52 points in 70 games while captaining the ST Louis Blues to the second best record in hockey.
You know, they had a half decent run, but the whole Coronavirus Cup for the Stanley Cup? I don't really base a lot of playoffs successor lows unless it's the Toronto Maple Leafs who found the way to losing ground zero.
But other than that, um, I'm not going to get Thio fired up about their the way that they did this postseason.
But you look, you know, they signed.
They traded for Justin Falk, resigned them.
They ended up grabbing scan Della, giving him money.
It seems like they were kind of getting ready to soften the blow.
They let their last captain David backs go to market.
It was a smart decision.
Now, Alex Pietrangelo is two years younger than David David back.
This was at that time.
I think he's a better player than David back.
It was at that time.
Nick Levin, ST Louis.
It's gonna really let this guy go.
Or is this just gonna be one of those long negotiations that goes right down to the wire? What kind of like Steven Stamkos that year, where they let him go to like, like, two days before the agency and they signed into that mega extension? Yeah, well, he even went to the day where teams were allowed to pitch to him, right? He took his pitches and then decided to stay in Tampa.
No, but with this guy, I just feel like they shot themselves in the foot with too many signings.
I mean, you still have to sign guys like Parayko he's gonna be looking for Yeah, it's done.
Winston Graco is gonna be looking for some kind of mega extension in the future.
But like all these young guys, and if you're gonna commit, like, 8.
5 9 million bucks to Petrinja, well, these young guys gonna be like I want out of here.
So and they shot themselves in the foot E.
I was I was actually at an interview.
Uh, not an interview.
It was kind of boot camp for my job, but the stadium for Gillette.
And I got the news that day that they traded for Justin Falk.
And I was like, They're not responding Pietrangelo.
I knew right then and there that they were not going to resign Pietrangelo because they signed.
They go on the market? Yeah, they traded for Falk, and they immediately gave him a mega extension.
I don't think Fox worth that kind of money at all.
I mean, years ago.
I think it's one of those, uh, one of those instances where, you know, they screwed themselves a little bit like I know you were trying to prep for it, but now you prepped for it so much that you can't bring the guy back like Come on, man, you gotta watch the salary cap there.
And, uh, if Alex Pietrangelo hits the market, holy man, whoever gets him is going Thio be at one very happy up in the rankings for power rankings for the Cup next year.
I'm a big Alex Pietrangelo guy.
I think personally Alex Pietrangelo ends up on a contending team.
I don't think if he does, I think he's going to stay.
I think they're going to figure it out. This is where I'm going.
I think it's gonna be like a last second thing.
Louis is gonna pony up somewhere Cash, because I think they're going to realize that it's stupid.
Maybe, But, um, I think if Alex Pietrangelo goes anywhere, it's going to be one of those top top teams that have some cap space.
Colorado Avalanche Come to mind.
You could look at the Boston Bruins, the Vegas Golden Knights, some team like the Toronto Maple Leafs.
To a lesser extent, as far as being a contender ghost, Um, I think it's gonna end up being a team like that.
I don't see him just going and taking the money from some mid level crap team.
I don't think he's gonna right and less like he gets mood in by that no Florida tax.
But I don't think after last year's bobrovsky contract that their owner is gonna be looking toe shell out a ton of cash.
So I'm gonna say that Alex Pietrangelo stage.
But if he does leave, he's gonna leave for one of the contenders, like the Golden Knights, the Bruins, the Avalanche, etcetera.
Someone like that off the MP? Yes, but let's move on to number two here on the free agency list.
Is that where you had? Did you have Taylor Hall at number two on your list? McLovin.
Yep, they were one and two right there.
Yeah, yeah, he's the 28 year old left winger.
A couple years were removed from the Hart Trophy.
He had 52 points in 65 games last year.
Playing on a pretty brutal New Jersey Devils team, Taylor Hall ended up getting moved, actually to the Arizona Coyotes halfway through the season.
And then there, um, looked a lot better in Arizona, I thought.
Then it start to the year in New Jersey.
I thought that him and Phil Kessel looked really good together and first round there when they took out the Nashville Predators.
Uh, Taylor Hall.
I think this is gonna be another guy who's gonna look at.
Yeah, he wants to cash in money, but this is a guy who's been playing on lottery pick James his entire career.
Um, at what point is winning gonna have to matter for him? I think that could be this offseason.
I'm a big Taylor Hall guy just because I know how much potential he has.
He's just been on terrible, terrible teams. Edmonton.
They get shipped out to New Jersey, where they're still rebuilding.
He finally gets them to the playoffs that get shafted by the Lightning and five games.
And then they immediately go back to rebuild mode after that.
And then he gets traded to Arizona and they're looking pretty good.
They lose their starting goaltender, and then the whole team starts acting like ****.
So obviously, they rode Darcy camp for the entire year.
Yeah, like I felt like the Arizona Rebuild was on track.
And then the GM left Now and now it seems like they got a cut salary, and now they're not bringing hall back and they might move Ackman Larson.
And we'll talk about that a little bit, too, because I think he's definitely gonna be ah, guy that like, Yeah, you look at Petra Angelo and you look at number three coming up on our list is Certainly It's gonna be Tory group for the both of us.
That's just how it is.
It goes Petrinja Hall crew.
The top three didn't even have to communicate before this episode to know that we were gonna be on that, uh, that train, Um, you know, well, the Alex our story.
Well, the Oliver Ekman Larsson stuff.
Slow up the Alex Pietrangelo Torey Krug market.
Our teams jumping in maybe with the conversation to try to put pressure too strong on one of their free agents into getting a deal.
There's a lot of smoke and mirrors to go through between now and the start of unrestricted agency, so we'll see.
I think that Taylor Hall again is going to be in the same situation as a Petra angel where, yeah, you know, these air elite great players.
But I think at the end of the day, winning matters to them and any of those teams that I mentioned above minus the Leafs because they don't they can't make it happen with the cap.
Vegas, Boston, Colorado.
Those are the teams that I think they're going to make their pitch to tailor all the time, right it. Boston smart.
They make some moves to free up a little bit more space to I'm not saying signed both the trans jewel and haul, but make a pitch for at least one of them because he's gonna be a big blow of Torey.
Krug leaves patron broken work the power play, and he's 15 times more reliable in his own defensive zone.
Recovered will be minimum minimum.
You could do what Crew could dio in the defensive zone in his sleep.
That's no disrespect.
Torey Krug is a fantastic offensive defenseman and power play quarterback, but let's talk about Tory Crew.
His extension from the Bruins ran up this season.
He played 61 games last last season and had 49 points.
Bruins power play looks pretty good.
Um, Torey Krug, though you know, the Bruins that offered 6.
6, which is right where you know Marshawn Pasternak, Bergeron They're all in that realm right of the money.
So, um, I think that they thought that, you know, if you want to stay here and try to win, you're gonna kinda have to take the same amount of money.
Tory Cruise like figure I play defense.
Defense gets paid more.
It's my last chance to really cash in on term and on dollars.
So I think that Tory cruise in his age and they're gonna kind of look to that, uh, d c Torey Krug moving on.
And if you do see him moving on, where is it going? Yes, I dio I've said it ever since the start of the playoffs.
So as soon as I saw him play, I was like this guy A.
He's gonna be looking for a lot because we know he could perform on the offensive side.
But I feel like his strength comes on the power play, which is good for a team because a good power play is good momentum towards the game, and it's a huge boost.
If you have good special teams play in terms of his own play in his defensive zone, it's horrendous.
At some point, you saw it on the game, winning Siri's winning goal by Victor Hedman.
You got outboxed by Pat Room like he was a little kid like just like pushed him away with one arm like, Nope, I'm gonna screen Hallock, and you're not doing anything about it.
Like it was embarrassing.
Like you need a guy like, you know, who wouldn't have let that happen? Probably protection.
In terms of in terms of teams that air going toe.
Like you look looked at the names of when that news broke, saying they were gonna trade his rights away, which we're still waiting on.
Yeah, thank you for that.
But in terms of in terms of teams, you look a team like, you know, Detroit is gonna wanna go after him.
I don't know if he's gonna wanna go there, because crude definitely is played on a bunch of winning teams here in Boston.
So I don't think you wanna gonna wanna go to a team that's not even close to a rebuild completion, like, destroyed so far behind right now. It's ridiculous.
Yeah, the only thing is like, look like that Tampa Bay team that won like Julian Breeze ball.
Yeah, he brought in Gujarat and Coleman, but that whole corn and everything to do with that team is Steve IRS Airman. Yeah.
So if you're Tory Group No next two or three years.
They're probably gonna be bad, but it doesn't take 567 years to build the winter.
I mean, look at Montreal.
They started selling off for a rebuild.
All of a sudden, Suzuki and Coke and Emmy come out in the playoffs and look good.
And now they're talking about shopping their first round pick, so it can change pretty fast.
I think that Torey Krug won't go to Detroit either.
Again, like in Vegas, doesn't get Petra Angelo or whatever the same team.
They're gonna be involved in these guys, right? So right.
The difference is I know that Petrie Angela usually plays the right side crew tends to play the left side.
But in the NHL, guys could go thio different sides in that I mean, people make it out to be a bigger deal than it is.
It happens more often than people talk about Thio guys playing offside, but number four on the list.
Who did you have in your number four McLovin? Well, I know Wasn't their number four Robin winner, you know, they're number four.
Where it was one of the West was Robin.
What? He's gone.
He's back to Vegas today.
Signed a five year, $5 million extension.
The worst kept secret in hockey since the playoffs.
Oh, no, that's not true. That's not true.
I deny all the allegations towards me, but we all know it's true.
Yeah, no, that deal was done from the first week that they arrived at in the bubble.
That deal was done.
It just wasn't signed Officially.
Markstrom is who I had.
Number six for me.
Okay? I had the jack of Markstrom here.
Okay, that's a good pick to I'm gonna go with marks from here.
I'll tell you why.
And then you can tell me a little bit about Marks, and then we'll go into Hoffman because that's who I had a five.
Markstrom, 30 years old, put up a great season last year with the with the Vancouver Canucks, 2.
75 goals against average, 19 save percentage on a young Vancouver Canucks team that made a lot of steps and made a lot of noise in the playoffs.
I thought he was great, but they do have Thatcher Demko, we all solid Thatcher, the master could do in the playoffs and, you know, you look at dollars and cents.
You see, this is a team talking to all of our Ackman Larson.
Now, if they bring in all of their Ackman Mars and there's no way they're going to be bringing back marched and you look at the end of 10 whalers, the Calgary Flames, you know, he could stay in Western Canada to and kind of not uproot his life that much.
Um, Yaka Markstrom, Nick Love.
And will he be back in Vancouver? Are they gonna let him moonlight? Well, if they're, they're gonna way out all of the options here because, you know, all the trade rumors going around Vancouver was that they're trying to move.
Guys have cap relief to sign guys like Markstrom and especially making extension for at least Pettersson is gonna be asking for the mega bank.
So when he used to yeah, when he used to.
And if you trade for o e l you gotta think Brock Bester is going the other way.
And somewhere someone would have to, Or unless they can convince them or sweeten the pot for them to take Louis Erickson's contract that way that I can never gonna happen, but they could dream.
Well, he's only got one year left on the deal, right? So it makes it really easy to move in the sense, right? I mean, David back has got traded last year, for God's sake, so anything can happen.
But I think that the smart move for the Vancouver would be Thio.
The smart route for the Canucks would be to resign Markstrom and then worry about the goaltending situation a little down the way.
But then you gotta wonder Seattle.
Um, expansion draft.
Thank you, buddy.
Um, what do you do there, Right? Like you're gonna have your goalie exposed.
So they have a lot of decisions to make in Vancouver.
It's gonna be a crazy, interesting off season there.
Number five I had Who you had, a number four make love and Mike Hoffman.
I thought it was coming.
You know, when you feel you're going to come and that doesn't count.
So Hoffman last year have played 69 games, had 59 points on the Florida Panthers team, including I just I feel like I'm in a season that don't happen.
Trying to be Christ he scored 29 goals last year.
You know, you look at teams that need scoring.
This is a guy who, um, had some trouble in the locker room and Ottawa.
There's the whole situation with their Carlson.
But you know what? Since then, you never heard any rumors have been being a bad teammate or anything like that.
Maybe he's put that stuff past him.
Do you think he's going to end up leaving Florida, and if so, where do you see him going? McLellan.
Waterson teams here.
Well, in terms of I just don't think anybody wants to stay in Florida.
I don't care about the tax, you know, Rule down there.
It's the team, it's the team.
And the fact and the only reason that they're still a team because they get revenue for other events that happened at the arena is the only reason why there's still a team right now because they get paid for other people to come there.
So but in terms of a hockey culture wants to play down in for the Florida Panthers, the only team in Florida that should be relevant is Tampa Bay.
Look what they did everyone is gonna be one of the Tampa fan next year.
So Mike Hoffman he's got way too much skill to be weighed down by that team.
I mean, the best team you was on was the 2017 Ottawa Senators who were one go away from the Stanley Cup final.
After that, the whole team imploded.
And, yeah, the whole organization.
Yeah, there is a ship GM.
Their assistant GM got in trouble for being Bobby Ryan.
Bobby Ryan, who just got bought out a couple a couple weeks ago, was the last remaining player on that 2017 team.
Now they have nobody.
When you look at that and then being one shot away from the Stanley Cup final against the Pittsburgh Penguins, Steam who ended up winning it all like, brought them toe one shot insane.
I thought for sure that that Ottawa team that's gonna be special, but we'll see what happens now.
Who did you have in the number? Set Number five.
Did you ask my number five? It's gonna be a little bit.
So I had Markstrom at number six, right e.
I had hope Onley because it's better in experience over Markstrom because hope he's been there.
He's won a Stanley Cup.
Washington All those playoff losses and their success throughout the regular season.
Two presidents trophies back to back and a team.
I have a team like Edmonton making a push for maybe not Ah, mega, but not like five years.
It's gonna be a big it's gonna be like a two year last year.
Yeah, you might end up getting a to three year contract, maybe even a one year deal.
He might be better served to take a one year deal.
This is a guy who had what, a 3.
11 goals against average.
And in 18 97 save percentage.
This is a guy who, you know as a Boston fan club and on his best he can absolutely you not.
You can't score on him. He looks like a wall.
This is a guy who I think is known for a bit.
That Samson novel is gonna end up taking this place and, yeah, I think Edmonton on a cheap deal makes a **** ton of sense when it comes to brain to fulfill.
Markstrom, Who do you got it. Seven.
I have Tyson Barrie just because Well, mainly because you know offensive defenseman.
A lot of teams need offense.
The game's gotten faster, and with an offensive defenseman, they tend to be faster getting back into their zone.
And Barry is people like they rag on him for his defensive play. E.
I mean, he's not terrible.
It's not the best, but he's not terrible in his own zone.
He's a he's not not a big body, but he's kind of like a built body for a smaller dude, which is which is good for a guy like him, because Torey Krug as he's not built, he's a skinny dude, and he's very good on the offensive side.
Tyson Berries nowhere near the skill level of crew in the in the offensive zone.
But for Barry, he's a good option on the offensive side, and he can be a little bit more reliable in his own defensive zone.
But I just feel like teams that could use his skill set could find ways to exploit everything that he could do good against other teams.
Yeah, no, definitely.
It was like he went to Toronto and he had been such a good player in Colorado.
He comes under the Leafs and it was never a good fit.
His value definitely took a bit of a dive.
This year, it's gonna be interesting to see where Tyson Barrie ends up.
I think personally, he'd be better served at 20 years old.
Maybe look at a short term extension, go on a team that's going to give him, Ah, great shot to win and a great shot toe have him protected with another defensive defenseman.
That really can help him boost those stats, because going to Toronto was just horrible for the type of game that he plays.
Who do you got next? I have a man that I want to see here in Boston.
Tyler Toffoli Nice.
That's who I had to.
Tyler Toffoli, 27 years old, was talking about Coover Canucks last year.
No one's talking about me was making $4.
6 million a year last year.
The 27 year old right winger had 44 points in 68 games, including 24 goals last year.
Tyler Toffoli is got a great snapshot of great wrist shot.
He's got a great release on him Tyler Toffoli again.
Um, any team that's looking to fill those second line voids is definitely gonna be lining up for Tyler Toffoli.
I know Vancouver wanted to keep him, but I just don't see how they could do it with the salary cap implications and everything.
So, um Tyler Toffoli Let's see where he ends up Me and I know again another guy that I think will end up on a contender.
He scarred me for life.
Uh, back on that Halloween weekend a couple of years ago here in Boston, I got free tickets.
Go see the king's, uh, visit Boston, as you know, kings or my second favorite team.
So I was like, Oh, awesome free game.
And it was in a luxury suite box and had a free buffet and everything.
9 seconds left in overtime.
They get a face off in our zone, right? I e.
He scored in 0.5.
I was like, That was the greatest play I've ever seen in my life.
I couldn't fastest releases I've ever seen on a shot.
The one thing I'll say about him is the rest of his game isn't so polished.
No, Um, definitely a two way, uh, end of things.
But who did you have next? I had Dad and off here.
47 points last year in 69 games.
25 goals, $4 million a year.
31 year old Russian winger looking for, you know, maybe a maybe looking for I don't know if he's gonna get, like, his last contract, but those guys tend to leave in their late thirties.
So, you know, if he gets a three or four year deal, that might be the end of Dad.
Where do you see Dad? In awe of ending up.
And do you think he's gone from Florida? I think anybody who said the free agent market from Florida is running you ever.
If you ever have to ask me the question, do you see him staying in Florida? Just know the answer is no.
Me too, buddy. Me too.
In terms of teams that could look for her services.
I mean, a team like people are gonna look at me like I have three heads, but a team like San Jose.
I know they were injury prone last year, but still like with all the people of young guys.
You guys like Joe Thornton who are still there? He's gonna He's gonna retire suit eventually, right? Yeah.
And you know, they're gonna bring him back over a guy like dad who could school.
No, they're not gonna bring him back a team like that.
I mean, ****, ton of other teams.
You know, maybe Tampa Bay just swoops him in across, You know, the way you're in Florida, I mean, imagine that they're not going todo you have a lot of money, Thio.
Boston is gonna be a team that we're gonna mention ah, lot for the rest of free agency because they need a winger.
Well, they're gonna be one of the most active teams out on the market, right? It just happened.
So we have guys from Boston that work for us, but yeah, they're gonna be very active.
I don't think he's e I don't think he's the answer with David.
No, no, I wouldn't sign that enough.
31 year old Russian winger.
The last good winger we head with crazy.
What's Jerome again? 1 2000 fax fax that Zaharie fax.
But a realistic team.
There's a couple of them, but I mean looking like Montreal like it's It's not.
It's not like the worst idea if you think it's not like that makes sense that they're willing to give up their first round pick because they think they can win now.
So why not go out and sign a guy like dad in off everyone? They signed Ratchett when they signed Gradual O.
No one thought that was gonna work out.
And then he comes out and he takes some of the playoffs like just saying that was huge, man, who do you got next? I have Mikael Granlund.
Wow, Guys got Grandma and high.
I got grand them, like off the board. That's crazy.
I just because you look a situation at you because he was like the best center in Minnesota on the teams that he was on before you got traded and right and nobody got traded for.
What do you get traded for? Was that you went to Nashville, went to Nashville, but I'm trying to think of who, because they made a couple trades.
So they gave them There was something always the theology raid.
Yeah, but they've been looking for center help for so long.
They've been They've made trades for Ryan Johansen.
They've made trades for Kyle tourists and they make a trade for grandma.
And he just never fit with the style.
Holla! And this I had holla in that spot here.
Number 10 for holla.
Yeah, I put Hall at number 10 call.
It was a good center.
Um, I think, you know, got kind of sent to Florida last year in that deal from Carolina.
I think that was unfortunate for him.
I think he's a guy that, um I think that he could end up on like a middle of the pack team.
I don't think any of the top teams are really going to be looking at air collar, but, um, certainly we'll see what happens.
And then after him here I have Sami Vatanen just ahead of Shattenkirk.
I don't even have that.
And on here I just feel like he's way too much of a liability for everything.
Yeah, I have just because of his performance, Uh, this year I know he had that trouble with the heart issue, but I still think it's a lot of T.
So I have him at number 12.
You Brody at 11.
Yeah, that's not a bad thing there.
The 29 year old defenseman Platt.
19 points in 64 games last year.
Scary little heart condition thing.
But by all accounts, he should be good to go for everything.
You know, it's gonna be tough, but definitely a left left side defenseman that any team would be lucky tohave.
I think TJ Brodie is a pretty good defenseman.
Went healthy and hopefully every gets back on track for him.
Who do you got? A 12 Shattenkirk? Yeah, Yeah.
Shattenkirk Right there.
Um, you know, he had only eight point are you had, like, 34 points last year, I think.
Still pretty good for what? They were playing 70 games.
Yeah, not playing a lot.
This is a guy who signed the mega deal, went to New York, didn't live up to expectations.
But when you have him in that number four position on your defense, you know, playing alongside a good second parent guy, Kevin Shattenkirk can give lot of positive minutes.
I think he's a ah guy that contenders will look to grab cheap again and hopefully he'll be still.
I want to taste beer out of that Stanley Cup again because I know I think there's a few contenders the Toronto Maple Leafs in particular, that could use a guy like Kevin Shattenkirk.
So we'll see what happens there.
Who do you have? A 13 have food open.
Anton Khudobin, fresh off of Hiss Stanley Cup final appearance, led the Dallas Stars when goalie Ben Bishop couldn't go.
You know he had, I think 30 games started last year, who opened, and he had a 2 22 goals against average 9 30 save percentage.
This is a guy who has been a perennial back up in Boston and in Dallas now, and this is a guy who is 33 years old.
You know, he's probably not going to get any sort of big extension, but the money is going to be complicated here, because what do you give the guy after the running? Just you're not giving him like you're not giving him above 4.
And you see what Jari just signed for in Pittsburgh at 3.
5. Him being a young guy.
I think that that's as much as you could give a guy like Anton Khudobin.
I know the Dallas Stars are interested in bringing him back, but that's easier said than done.
You think Dallas brings them back or do you think he goes? I feel like with the run that he just had.
You can't be having that much money tied up because you still have been Bishop.
If he's healthy, Ben Bishop still a very good option.
I know if he can do what would Open did last year, the Tim Thomas style he did, but he could still backstop you to have run like that if you have a solid team in funny, but they need goalscoring.
They can't score goals for the White when they play the most boring style hockey and it works.
But it would be a lot better if they had a to go lead to go along with some of those winds.
Yeah, some of those defensive battles, right? If they were protecting the leader of a lot better, I'm with you on that.
Who do you got next? I have Travis Hamonic.
Oh, you put him in a car.
You put hammer duck over Brendan Dillon? Yeah, I have done a number 15.
Oh, my goodness.
I have Dylan here.
I have I have haven't got hammered duck because number Riyadh What number is this? I got a 14.
14. Okay, Almost at the end of my list.
So what do you got him in 29 games last year.
12 points. He's 29.
That kid wants to go toe Winnipeg.
I think he's got a lot of a lot of ties back to Winnipeg.
Winnipeg needs defense.
I think that since his time leaving the Winnipeg jet, I don't know where did he leave from Skylanders stories.
He was always looking to go toe.
Winnipeg couldn't get there and ended up they had true, but Buffel in at the time ends up going to Calgary.
I don't think that is close enough.
I think he makes his way to Winnipeg this offseason.
Just just imagine Like like so with Calgary, they traded for him because, you know, they knew he was one of those teams that he wanted to leave.
Thio was Calgary.
They gave up their first round pick for this guy.
This guy, it's injured a lot, especially last year.
And then Now I'm just gonna leave.
We opted out of the playoff.
Well, you didn't even show up for the bubble.
So you know, that's a lot of *****ed A ***** the relationship between him in the front office.
So it's a shame he's got to go, But he's a big body.
He's a fantastic defenseman, too.
I really like Travis Hammond.
Look, and then we'll go in here and talk about Brandon Dillon from the Washington Capitals.
He had Brendan Dillon hat 14 points on the season.
Not known for that.
The super shutdown defense and on the left side, 29 years old place, physical place, that style of hockey that you would expect, Ah, guy to play with who can play it up big minutes.
And I think Brandon Dillon still that guy.
We'll see if Washington can clear the space to keep him.
But if not, he's definitely an attractive piece out there, for sure.
Obviously here is you play on the right side of the left side.
He is on the left side.
I believe that's good.
That's good for people here in Boston.
Not gonna say they're gonna go after him.
But if Krug leaves, he's a great big option toe look at.
Yeah, it would be a great option to look at for a lot of teams.
Teams looking toe cheer up the left side of their defense.
I know the Toronto Maple Leafs.
And and that would like to do the same.
I know we keep bringing up the same 56 seventeens, but these are the teams that are really looking to add this off season.
Uh, German know how you like in this? Uh, this, um o B s little background types often here it is.
Look okay or what? Hey, e, just I just looked at the chat.
Yeah, I'm looking at it right now, Nick love and got in trouble for suggesting Alex Petrie.
And so to the Bruins, from sports not central to that upset Gina, Gina did not like that. You had Thio.
Send me the gift of Trento lifting a cup.
And I was like, you put the Bruins on there thank you.
It could happen.
You know what? Maybe he'll go lift a cup for Boston late.
Oh, man, That's classic.
Listen, guys, we have a **** ton of free agents the rest of the way.
You're gonna see news coming here all the way through, um, all the way through the draft and then beyond and do unrestricted free agency McLovin.
If you had to pick one big trade, that's going to go down trade, not for agency before we get to the draft.
What, are you going left? Oh, man, there's so much.
Also, it's October 9th.
So it's the 6th and 7th for the draft.
And then the ninth win is when free agency opens.
That's Friday, so the signing period will begin at 12 PM Eastern.
I'm up overnight.
Do you call it a work on that day Way might have a free agent frenzy to run.
No, it's if I had to think of Can it be? Does that be a realistic trade or just like a trade? I want to see um, both give me one that you'd like to see and then give us one.
Well, I think will happen.
Well, I said it at the beginning when I heard that they were shopping this guy around.
But Brock ******* of Boston.
I've been hoping for broadcasting about.
They want to get rid of him.
He's got one year left before they have to sign an extension with them.
They're not looking at Oliver.
Yeah, so if they trade for over a year old, they're gonna tow either give them Brock Best or Shiprock Best or somewhere else.
So they take Jake DeBrusk a prospect Rock.
I mean, I would be 100% game for that is a Boston fair.
Me? Personally, I think you're going to see Oliver Ekman.
Larsson move here in the next couple days.
I know the Arizona Coyotes asked him for a list.
They expected it to be a little bigger.
I think they're going to go to him tomorrow or the next day and asked them to expand it.
I know talks with Vancouver in Boston have been okay, but they're definitely not a perfect match in terms of, you know, the both teams would require the coyotes to retain some sort of contracts or salary.
You know, if you're the Boston Bruins you're looking at them to possibly retain the services of both John Moore and a guy like Nik Richie.
And you know, if your training all of Brickman Larson to the Vancouver Canucks, you're probably looking at having to take Louis Erickson back.
So Arizona kind of put into a bad situation.
I think they are going to approach Oliver Ekman Larsson and ask them maybe to expand on that to team list.
Ah, little bit because, I mean, when you give a team two teams, you know the value, not the team has no chance of getting back with your value and all.
Like it's gonna end up being for less less than they thought that if you're a guy like Oliver Ekman Larsson, that's why you get that full trade protection in your contract because those are the two you gave them in East in the West team will go to Vancouver, Boston, make it happen.
We'll see what happens the rest of the way.
I think ol does end up getting moved, but I think they could expand it.
I know he's not privy to going to the Oilers.
She's strange, I guess.
I guess that month that he spent in Edmonton was enough.
I just wanna live there.
No, not a chance.
That's enough Edmonton for me.
But you know what? He's probably smart, too, because I think that will be the last time the couple ever be raised on Edmonton ice.
How about how about the rumors circulating here in Boston? And the only reason why they're going after RBL is to entice Crew to stay.
I mean, you definitely want to strong arm a guy who's who's been.
What's the word I want to look for for you? Not hostile, but he's been a little bit a little hostile.
But she didn't get, uh, didn't get the attention he thought it would get, didn't get the effort from the organization they thought it would get.
They want to keep him offered 6.
6 a year over six years.
Crude doesn't think that's a fair value.
So it's like, Okay, well, then we'll go out and acquire someone.
Maybe they're strong arming.
Maybe they're trying to get Cruz can't desperate.
Maybe he starts thinking, Oh, crap.
If they grab him, there's no way I'm going back.
Yeah, I don't know Personally, I think the Bruins are better served to move on.
And I'm not Jack.
I'm not going to sit here and say he's the worst player.
It's I think the left side is too small.
I think when you look at Charlie McAvoy or No.
Not Charlie McAvoy, who's on the left side of Boston's defense.
You got Tory crew crew, Ciara, Grizzly, True Charlie and Grizz like That's the recruiting grizz like. They're too small.
I always think, McAvoy for some reason it's crude and Grizz like there.
You can't have guys, two guys, that tiny on that side of the ice.
I think that you've seen it.
When they ended up running into the Tampa Bay Lightning, they ran into a big, physical ST Louis Blues team.
When it's come time to the trenches and it's come down to four checking and, uh, I think that Crew is a great power play player.
I think he'll make a team very happy.
I don't think he'll make a team happy for the duration of his contract because I think that if he gets a seven year deal at big money, I think years 437 could be a little rough, but the next 34 years, I think the team will be very happy, I think, uh, I don't know, man.
I don't know what will happen.
I think go yell does move.
I think they're gonna ask him to expand that trade list because I think they feel a little a little salt.
That's salty. I mean, it's the first year of an extension.
You just signed them thio.
I mean, how many teams you expect him to get? Um, how many teams you expect him just to be willing to? Up.
He signed there with the intention of staying there for seven years.
Right now, you're asking him to leave? He's gonna probably be a little picky about where it is.
He's going to go.
But I wanna let you guys know that you can go on over the tops off hockey dot Net for all things free agency draft on the trade market and anything else.
You go on over to the website, it's right down below you check it out.
Tarps off, hawk dot net make love.
And you have anything else that before we sign off? Uh, took a risk is not getting traded. I'm sorry.
Um, I beg to differ on that.
I think that they'll look at the e.
I think the Colorado Avalanche make a ton of sense.
I think, uh, I think the avalanche making time, He says, Yeah, Mark, we've been here for, like, an hour body almost an hour.
We did a little free agency. Friends.
He went through a top 15 guys.
Yeah, I apologize for that, mark, but, I mean, you can always watch the street from where I would love to be in denial about it, too.
But, I mean, I'm in denial.
I know it's probably gonna happen like a team, like, who knows? But the one thing I'll say is people like, Why would they do that? Entering his last year? You sweetie, wouldn't be doing his job if he wasn't gauging the market.
Especially if they think it's gonna be a tough time signing him.
I think the Colorado Avalanche should take the roll.
The dice of the Boston Bruins are looking to move them.
And, uh and, you know, I think the Bruins are gonna look to maybe even get back into this first round.
I think there's six teams without a first round pick.
I think you're going to see a couple of them work to jump in.
We'll see what happens. Make love.
And I'm Christmas.
Who? So I'm in Twitter jail? I ain't even gonna give you my Twitter thing right now.
We'll be breaking out of Twitter jail on Monday, McLovin.
Thanks a lot, buddy.
Hey, no problem.
Glad to be guys.
Yeah, this was the free agency.
Frenzy will be back.
Probably maybe tomorrow or the next day.
Give you guys a little rundown on what's going on in.
We'll wait until see if any news breaks or anything like that.
Take it easy, bro.
