There is a exciting, exhilarating Thursday football game of football Thursday football game on tonight that nobody's gonna want to miss.
So we are going to try and keep it short and sweet for you here Tonight should be off the air by 7 15 Central time so that everybody can not miss a minute of that exhilarating action that the Jets and Broncos they're gonna offer you tonight.
We'll have the Thursday Night Football preview for you at the end of this stream, but let's just jump right into the news.
I hosted the stream on Monday.
Have not been on the stream since Monday.
But on Monday we spent about 15 minutes right off the bat, um, talking about Doc Rivers, how he had been fired by the Clippers if the Clippers should have let him go or not.
In the first year of the Paul, George and Kawai, Um, Paul, George and Kawhi roster all things of that nature, I guess nothing that we said really mattered all that much because it didn't even take three days for Doc Rivers to find himself a new gig.
He is now the head coach of the Clippers.
I know this obviously a football stream, but this is big news.
Doc Rivers gets fired, finds himself another job within 72 hours.
You think Doc Rivers is gonna be a pretty good fit over with over in Philadelphia with that 70 Sixers roster? I mean, the one thing that I said was, uh in Los Angeles Doc Rivers had a lot of different talents toe work, with a lot of different variations of his roster.
Ah, lot of different teams that were great teams within themselves.
But he never really could put put it together and get them a Sfar as they wanted to.
G 76 years have already had that problem.
They've already gone through the struggles.
They've already got the roster that they want to move forward with.
It wasn't working with their old coach, Brett Brown.
So now they bring in Doc Rivers.
Is this a match made in heaven for both the 70 Sixers and Doc Rivers? Or are both of these entities going to continue following the same path that they've each been on same path? The 70 Sixers don't have a good enough team and Doc rivers.
With the super teams out there, he won't be able to do anything with it short this week.
Yeah, I think I I think I agree.
Um, I'm not, uh if you can't get it done with the clippers, Uh, I think the Sixers have, ah, lesser roster.
Um, I'll be in an slightly easier conference, but, uh, I'm not seeing ah, a championship in the near future for the Sixers.
Yeah, the problem is that all the other teams in the East are hopefully in the bucks case gonna continue to be as good or get better right through.
The Celtics didn't look great against the heat, but they're obviously gonna be better.
Um, I mean, the 70 Sixers are Yeah, it's it's ah, nice name.
It's a Polish polished, shiny coach, but I don't know if it's gonna make that much of a difference.
I don't know if this Ben Simmons and Embiid driven team is ever gonna make a championship run, but hey, good for Doc Rivers.
He landed on his feet again, found a job very, very quickly.
So that'll be something to keep an eye on.
But of course it is football season, so any basketball talk? Um, it seems even the NBA Finals kind of just getting swept under the rug here.
But I just wanted to talk about Doc Rivers a little bit, and it will obviously become more relevant whenever we find out when the MBA is going to start their season again.
Eso Let's move on now talk a little football.
The Steelers and Titans Now obviously, we know basketball still being played because of co vid Cove, it now rearing its ugly head for the first time in the NFL, the Steelers verse Titans game has been officially moved to later on in the season.
Um, guys, I'm sure this is not going to be the Onley covert situation the NFL deals with, uh the entire season.
I mean, if it is wow, that's, you know, props to the NFL, and that's extremely lucky.
But again, we are only in Week four here, already dealing with ah, covert situation.
My question to you is what happens when this happens down the line, say Week 13 14.
Somewhere in there, when the stakes are much higher when all their teams have already had their by weeks, how is the NFL gonna handle this, then I think the NFL's gotta be smart here, obviously.
You know, the bubbles.
Tough to do, but you gotta look into it.
Especially for the Titans Steelers now, um, because they really can't afford to lose another week already.
And we're in week four.
Um, once you get down to the late weeks, they really can't afford to have anybody be missing weeks eso unless they have an extra week that they're fine with pushing games back.
Um, they might need to think about tighter restrictions.
Obviously, they're doing pretty much everything they can without a full fledged bubble butt.
Um, you got to start having that conversation now because if you start having it down the road, you're gonna have a lot of problems.
And you know, how far can you push back this season? This might not be a you know, we can't play for one week.
They got kind of lucky with the Titans, So this could be something down the road where it could be a two week, three week problem.
Obviously, how long it takes to figure it out and how long symptoms air there.
So they gotta start having that conversation.
Now, I don't know what the answer is, but they at least have to have a solution ready when it comes up.
And, uh, the other thing Thio consider here is, um, depending on your political party.
Uh, if you're ah, wherever your leanings Malay, uh, there's gonna be Ah, hopefully a ah ah.
Shot coming out.
Uh, at some point here in the near future, Some some might say within the next couple weeks, Others air saying within the next few months Hopefully, uh, sooner rather than later.
And that might help Thio, uh, kind of do away with any more unforeseen, uh, games that have to be rescheduled.
But, you know, toe to make it to week four and have one game.
And it sounds like the Vikings and the, uh, Texans game is going to go off a scheduled.
So that's Ah, that's a good thing.
Uh, I thought that might be affected by this to, uh so hopefully, uh, you know, this is something that, uh, is a one time thing, and we're able Thio have this shot out by the end of the season so we don't face any more of these, Uh, unscheduled by weeks.
Yeah, and I think you're exactly right.
Trevor, I think the NFL just has to be prepared.
Has to have a plan in place because this is probably going to happen later on further into the season.
And again when you're not, When you don't have those.
Bye weeks left, you can't be as flexible.
So they're gonna have to be proactive with this and gonna have to have a plan in place.
What that plan is or will be.
I'm not quite sure.
I guess we'll see it eventually down the line here or not.
Hopefully, honestly, I'm hopefully we saw based covert outbreaks early on in the baseball season.
Hopefully, the football season follows suit and were able Thio have everything out of the way by maybe a week, six weeks, eight somewhere in there.
Either way, it's gonna be something to keep your eye on.
Thank you very much for two active Ventura for that generous tip there.
The 200 for popcorn.
Appreciate all of you who are with us live and also re watching the stream whenever you may be watching.
We appreciate it.
Aziz, you discuss this.
I am going to try and exit the stream and reenter because everything is way off for me, the sound is off.
I'm delaying very badly.
So as you answer this next prompt, I am going to try and reboot things on my end here.
But, um, Zak tweeted out that he is selling because of this news.
This cove in news he is selling Derrick Henry and James Connor.
He doesn't think that they are going Teoh be able to play 14 games in a row when whether it's injury, whether it's just needing to rest, whatever it is that that by week not being available is probably gonna be huge for those two guys who are kind of at least Derrick Henry, that workhorse type running back.
Um, do you agree on this or you guys also looking to maybe sell Derrick Henry and James Connor? Do you think they're gonna be all right? Moving forward? And who else might you put on this list that you're concerned about? Now that there's no bye week, go ahead and discuss and I will be right back.
Well, I don't know about you, but I would definitely be worried about Connor hey, has terrible durability, eyes, durability.
Concerns are obviously very, very high up there.
Um, Derrick Henry? Yeah, probably.
Um, just because he is a workhorse, even though he hasn't had a super extensive injury history, he is a workhorse type back.
Um, other guys, it's hard to tell, uh, maybe the guys getting up in age, maybe like a big Ben.
Um, you know, you look at titans.
Maybe guys that have injury concerns, maybe, and a J.
Brown if they try to rush him back.
Um, but if anything, I think the most important thing
