Good evening. Wrong.
This is Tuesday Night Patriots Episode 24 I'm your host bankers coming You back here live on SportsCastr.
Today is the 29th of September.
This is the last episode of the month.
Hope you all had a great weekend and obviously we're in a another week the last week of September.
So tonight we will talk about the latest game of the Patriots as they took on the Vegas Raiders.
I'll get my I'll tell you guys my insight When I thought went well, what what were some things that didn't go so well? And then I'll get a preview later in the show of the next opponent and the Kansas City Chiefs, who had a a huge, pivotal game yesterday against the Baltimore Ravens.
So I'll talk about that a little bit.
Obviously talk a little bit about Brady.
Azi took on Denver this past weekend, so we're going into a lot of things as well.
I'll show you guys quickly.
A What is it? Um, some highlights from the game and then her lines at the end.
There was some breaking news today regarding a team, and I'll talk more about it.
Uh, you know as well Mawr on Thursday for Thursday Night Sports Madness.
So let's get into it.
Uh, the patriots I just mentioned they're taking on.
They took on the Vegas, uh, Raiders at Gillette Stadium and their Week three matchup. The Patriots.
We're hoping to overcome a tough loss against the Seattle Seahawks in our second game of the season.
Thebe Patriots didn't end up winning this game by the final score of 36 to 20.
Overall, I thought it was a good win for the Patriots.
They had a very, uh, you know, quickly recap of the game.
I will go to ESPN quickly, but overall, I thought I thought it was kind of a slower start.
Um, they didn't really get the offense going as much as they did.
And the first game, the, uh, there was tough news that David Andrews, the starting center who came back after having, uh out for the year after last year, battling with, you know, his long situation and obviously him being out for the whole tough year.
Last year hey was able to come back and he's you makes the offensive on move.
Uh, you know, as it goes.
But, you know, they were able Thio go with Joe Tooni.
I left guard, he switched him over to center and, you know, get into my three ups my three downs from the game.
But before we get started about that, um, this waas the way things went so first quarter, there was only one thing that happened.
Uh, the Raiders kicker had a field goal, made it three nothing.
Uh, then the Patriots, uh, we're able to tie it on a 33 yard field goal from Nick Folk Folk made it 6 to 3 on another field goal.
Rex Burkhead, who had a huge game, Uh, with three touchdowns.
The first touchdown he had was in the second quarter.
Patriots looked like with 34 seconds left, they had a, uh they're gonna come up with a 13 or three lead, and then the Patriots really get the rehearsal momentum right before halftime.
Stefan Gilmore her at a pivotal defensive pass interference in which Gilmore's had couple, uh, in the last couple weeks here.
This is once again the defensive player of the year from last year.
So, you know, they had a Gilmore Dinners, Gilmore, uh, penalty defensive P I and then Derek Carr through a nice, uh uh, pretty much a brow.
As he was getting hit, he added to one of his main targets.
And Hunter Renfroe receiver.
They did call it at first a touchdown.
They want to review it, and and they determined that his arm is down.
Right before he crossed the goal line, the Raiders did get the ball back.
It was around 78 seconds left.
The Raiders decided to have one more to two more chances to go in the end zone to try Thio Regroup that touch them that they didn't get.
And they were able to get that touchdown as Derek Carr found one yard pass to his backup tight end Foster Moreau.
So that made it with six seconds about the 13 10 10 game.
Now is to score the half.
The Raiders got the ball back, actually, in the next drive, they got all the way down and their kicker, who's actually I thought, one of the better.
Uh, you know, he's been he's been really good for that team.
He's young guy Daniel Carlson.
Hey, missed or I think a 40 41 yard field goal hooked a little bit to the left.
The Patriots got the ball back, and then, I believe, in the ensuing possession.
In the third quarter, Rex Burkhead had a five yard touchdown run, made it 20 to 10 Patriots and then the Patriots defense.
I thought overall was pretty solid.
They didn't give up any scores in that third quarter.
Nick Folk made it a, UH, two possession game.
We've made it A with a 32 yard field goal, 23 to 10.
The Raiders did Dr um down earlier in the fourth quarter.
They looked like they had something going here.
And then the Patriots around the goal line were able to stop them hold onto a field goal, made it 23 to 13 whether on five minutes left in the game, Rex Burkhead had a big two yard touchdown run.
His third touchdown of the game was 29 to 13.
Patriots, uh, Nick folk actually missed the P A t.
So it was within.
It was critical because the score was still within two scores instead of three, and then the Raiders on the kickoff return.
They had a believe a block from the back they set.
They set the Raiders back right inside there.
Their their goal goal line and, uh, the Patriots between Dietrich, twice and surely Calhoun and Chase, one of which, which I thought all three of them had fantastic games winning, which had a strip sack earlier on the game.
And and obviously, at the end here, Dietrich Weise actually stripped car.
It looked like it was gonna be a safety, but what it turned out to be was the ball came loose before cars elbow came down.
Uh, wise picked it up right after one right to the, um uh, right to the end zone.
It's turned to be pretty much zero yard fumble return.
If you want to say it that way and that basically put the game out of reach. The Patriots.
Uh, we're up 36 to 13 with the middle 54 left.
Hunter Renfroe did have a touchdown catch from car.
It was a 10 play, 75 yard drivers, basically more garbage time type score.
So I mean, the patriots right around the minute to two minute mark.
I guess they had a little bit of a struggle, but overall, they had a great game.
The Raiders made a lot of turnovers, Um, because overall they didn't turn the ball over.
I thought would be much closer of a type of game.
But the Patriots? I think the biggest, uh, thing was, you know, you see, in the first game against the Dolphins, they were able to execute their running game from Cam Newton and the second game and we two, even though they lost their able to execute their passing game with Cam Newton finding all these different types of receivers and the third game, they were able to execute more of their running game with their running backs.
Cam Newton didn't have much in terms of his legs, and I thought his passing was a little more than average on Sunday.
We've been talking about how much Cam has been a great story so far, which he still has, but overall, in this third week, it was probably the most, um, he he wasn't overall that sharp.
I'd probably give him a solid c, I think he said on Monday after the game that he wasn't he.
He definitely thought he could have played better.
Hey, had one interception that I should have never been interception.
He should have gotten sacked.
He decided to extend the play, which I give a lot of credit for, but it was inside off the Patriots 20 yard line.
The Raiders had the chance.
They intercepted the ball, and luckily enough, it turned and turned into a touchdown there.
Um, but that was a big critical mistake he had and and it just has to make sure that, you know, he has to be more aware of those things.
Obviously, a couple missed overthrows overall.
So I mean, he had a bad game and it's gonna happen.
He's gonna go through some, you know, some sometimes on the season that he's gonna be a little a little off.
But overall, I thought the running game really helped him out.
Rex Burkhead used a lot of the screen game and eso You have to be still really, really confident with this Patriots team because against more of these type of teams, Uh, overall, the Raiders came in undefeated, Uh, but the Raiders just made too many mistakes.
Like I mentioned, Jacobs had a fumble as they were driving early on the game car obviously had the strip sack.
You can't make so many turnover that, especially if you want to try to beat the Patriots, the less the turnover is, the better of a change.
You could win, and I think that you look at the Seahawks.
Did you know Wilson threw for five touchdowns and did of the interception early on the game? But, uh, you know, you give a lot of credit, though, to them, with the Patriots to defensively, especially with a lot of these opt outs of main guys.
You saw a lot of the guys up front it overall.
I think the running defense is still a struggle.
I'll get into a little bit, but I thought the pass rush start to get a little bit more into it.
Overall, Um, I know the Raiders did have two or three of their starting line and hurts, uh, so back to kind of help.
But you know it's going to the stats here will quickly start with the Raiders.
Derek Carr, who I mentioned the last couple weeks he was throwing him with in the mid two fifties.
He was 24 32 for the day, 261 yards.
He did have two touchdowns.
He didn't have any interceptions.
He was close, though.
Here, a couple of times where I know Jason McCord.
He missed a tipped ball.
Uh, and hey, was tryingto cars.
Those suffering from Darren Waller, the main tight end, Uh, and right across, um, the middle for potential touchdown.
But that McCord he made a fantastic play to take that away and not was almost picked, but overall car, I thought it was OK.
Not great, but he did have to touch down on the day with no picks.
He did get sacked couple of times, and some of them turned to be pivotal, obviously, the strip sack.
And then the play at the end, where Wise and Calhoun basically went for a sack.
That should have been.
That could have been a safety, but it turned out to be a fumble for a return for a touchdown, which it was even better for the Patriots.
So, uh, those were cars numbers.
He had 52.9 Q b r.
Uh, you know, he was all the bend up.
He was coming into the game limited, so he definitely wasn't.
I mean, he The Patriots really struggled with Jacob's early on the game.
They were able to kind of figure him out more later on.
He had 16 carries for 71 yards, didn't have a touchdown.
They used Booker and Richard.
Richard had what? Kerry for 14 and Booker had three for 31 then they're receiving corps.
This is where it gets interesting.
Nobody had more than five catches on the day that Hunter Renfroe.
You would think that Darren Waller, who was targeted, I believe, 16 times on Monday against the Saints.
He had 12 receptions.
Uh, you might have two guys remind me about that, but he had more than 10 receptions against the same.
She was absolutely dynamite, one of the best tight ends in the game.
If not for Travis Kelsey eso the Patriots definitely want to take him out of the game on.
I talked about that last Tuesday.
Going into this past on his matchup is to take while they're out of the game. Nobody does.
Taking mismatches and find the matches better than coach Bill Belichick.
And, uh, you know Jon Gruden, their head coach was saying after the game that he thought that while I was open, there were a couple times I thought he was open.
But they really scheme them well.
And he only had two catches for nine yards.
Which is which is great for the Patriots.
Um, you know, for fantasy owners and cooler myself, I like Darren Waller as a fantasy tight end, and I just wanted him to maybe take it, Uh, you know, maybe have a good fantasy day against the Patriots, but obviously not go, you know, do too much.
I did to see, though, that water was a little banged up.
Well, Raiders overall, we're pretty banged up on the day.
It also didn't help that their main speedster at receiver Henry drugs, he was hurt.
They declared him out, which he's a guy that really stretches the feeling really well.
Brian Edwards, Uh, the, uh, one of the draft picks.
They got receiver from South Carolina who actually like, um uh, for the most part of like him.
Hey had two catches for 48 yards.
He was a little banged up after a catchy had across the note from a car that was actually a really good pass.
One of better patch that car had Nelson, a galore former eagle he had to catch for 32 is a Jones who has been used quite a bit.
Ah, former Bill, You had three catches for 32.
And then, UH, for Barro there, back of tight end, had to just 25 yards and a touchdown.
Those were the stats for the Raiders on then for the Patriots.
Like I said, he was quite average this past Sunday.
He had 17 complete 17 completions for 28 attempts, 162 yards passing.
It did have a touchdown, a screen pass to Birkhead on then.
He had that bad in reception, but overall, he didn't.
He didn't do terrible.
I thought, it's just one of those games that it's good, though, for the Patriots that he could be average.
Uh, and patron still can be able to find a way to win by a couple scores if the other team, uh, you know, just makes a lot of mistakes now, if he has this kind of performance more against teams like Baltimore or you know, coming up the cancer chase, where I think it's one of Cam's biggest tests for this whole season because and I've got into the chase a little bit.
But the Patriots are gonna have to find a way to score points, Uh, for sure if they wanna have a chance to pull off.
I would say this upset, Uh, nobody's really giving the Patriots, and this is hard to say because usually last 20 years, people are saying, Oh, we're living up to the Patriots.
I think now and to this generation of football, most of the teams are looking up to the Patrick Mahomes of Kanzi Cheese and Andy Reid, defending champs from last year, so I'll get into the game a little bit.
But Cam Newton, I thought, was play decent enough.
Thio win, which they did.
The running game was obviously fantastic.
Sony Michelle who? A lot of people give criticized for Hey, actually, we had one of the better days on the ground.
You had nine carries, but he had 117 yards rushing.
He broke off a couple of big runs and the game.
Rex Burkhead had six carries for 49 yards but he had two touchdowns, and then they use a little bit of the little guy. JJ Taylor.
He had 11 cares for 43 yards, didn't have a touchdown, receiving the Patriots receiving game.
Uh, it wasn't wasn't great.
They played a lot of man and at our time separating.
But it was good enough, I would say.
But Birkhead was the biggest story of seven receptions for 49.
Obviously, he was my player of the game if I had to choose one.
Uh, and then Harry Harry had two catches for 30 for Bird had three catches, 27.
Elman was pretty quiet on Sunday after having a big game on Week two.
He had only had to catch for 23 then Michela two for 23.
So those were your steps.
Um, I grew up into highlights, and then I got into some more.
Patriots is Ah, okay, introduces on IR over the hand in tree.
There's a late handoff on IR.
We'll call it Michelle Best arms of Pearl for no gain.
It's a 36 assed Newton goes across the middle and it's broken up.
Why don't eat it.
Jacobs with the whole and he's up ahead for 12 or 13 short to a good at right tackle.
Here's 1st 10 and kill more break.
They were heading change.
They were able to always stay in face.
That's what price biggest today.
2nd and 15 and another run Sunday 39.
I could protect it for a while Now.
Where do you go? Car plants Defeat.
Launches it out of bounds and completely think that's why they're having some successful.
He's just moved past for the second time, Randall Cunningham to second on the all time quarterback rushing list.
Randall, the team chaplain for the Raiders here, is going to keep it on just with strength.
He drives Abram back and picks up from the pocket with First, get out with Jacob.
First down from the 31 cars pass on Target and said all three of his passes on this tribe for 54 yards Runs it again.
Adrian Phillips, Former Charger.
That's, Ah, tackle for a loss of one.
Sure, we'll show it to you again.
This camp completes the pass for a first down Michelle hand down the middle of broken up.
There are three Raiders in the area, rusher up the middle, duping slides right, able to escape Pearl and gets picked up its Inter second.
That was Abram running it back into the 50 with car complete to Rishard, who had high process for the news.
Come in through short after that fake car flips in and cart kick on the kicks right down the middle.
For the first points of the way, these guys ways started using gas.
It's table a face mask in 28.
Here's the gift with back to the end zone, and that's wide of the mark.
Matching field goals could come in here and do this gym.
E think it's also a test.
All balls on the ground.
There's a flag down a well with strip second six looking cat.
Kick it in gear down to the tax 16 carries first and gold, and it's tamer on the inside and dog joiners there to meet him.
Stepping up ball is deflect to yeah, and this one also was true.
Learn how to run the ball outside on, then run it inside when they start thinking outside, especially second.
Abram had a quick hand on Michelle, but he was able to wriggle free for the Serie A inside, setting up the screen from Michelle.
Get past Hankins.
Don't have more time.
Task to do a lot of stuff like that.
2nd and 11 Bird is open on E O Field There.
Tokyo Fake handoff.
Adelman looking over Bearcat.
Nice move, and he's up it over for the touchdown seconds.
And remember, they differed on the top.
So we'll get the football to start the third quarter.
Hard slides throws complete and due to everybody else.
All right, here we go, Tony.
You want from the booth, I think.
Wide open for the touchdown.
Morro with catch, got a flag down with snap in the second half for New England.
Okay, able to find his target Was a linebacker defensive lineman coming a fullback in the league? Here's the gift of Michelle.
Some great cuts by Michelle.
One more on moral finally able to write them down E second in 15.
Yes, go underneath Booth they toss it on Wythe reverse earlier.
Burke. Oh, okay.
Hey, Tumbles turned the inside of these in front of the touchdown.
Yeah, Behalf sales is that 1st and 10 Jacobs turns around to make crab here is trying to prevent a very short Siris on 34 chosen today.
Even Michelle again kicking it in gear.
Here he goes inside the 30 and finally slowed down inside the 15.
Dad, Ugo Newton still has it.
Hey sees there's nowhere to go and it's a strong 32 yards.
Three for three on the game.
You gotta start Thio.
Little aggressive open.
Harry fights for extra yardage.
First time after they set up screen e Oh, wait for to update their way.
That's around my first time he's ripped up.
He told me that was a huge play for the Patriots.
He Oh, it's really difficult to get 22nd and seventh.
Birkhead lets loose again.
He's driving for a third touchdown Stop Thio.
He's in Burkett for a third time today.
Finds the end zone on a on the goal line.
That's gonna be a safety.
A fumble, maybe Jim e.
Think he actually? Well, those were highlights from this past Sunday.
Like I said, I 1000 overall solid win for the Patriots and, uh, but now it is time for the toughest opponent on the Patriots schedule.
And they do have a lot of tough teams, Uh, of course, for the season.
But can city Chiefs are the toughest thing before we get into the Chiefs and Brady stuff? I want to quickly get into some remarks.
On Monday, he talked about how his family hasn't moved to Massachusetts yet.
Hey, said something very kill show on W in Boston, UH, on Monday morning, where he revealed that he hasn't moved his family.
Massachusetts, despite signing a one year deal with the Patriots to replace Brady, has quarterback the whole dis it, he said the whole decision and not to keep beating a dead horse.
This is a business trip for May.
The fact that I don't have none of my Children here in Boston with me and the fact that I haven't been able to see them on a regularity, that that's anger in itself.
For May I wake up every morning missing the hell out of my Children and no enough.
I don't do what I'm supposed to dio.
This could be a good read and so form A that is as serious as I'm making it, and that's as serious as this.
So through it all, you can't face time them enough because the kitchen is similar to mine.
They don't know how to handle the phone, things like that.
That's one of many different things.
You just wake up and you wake up to you and ask yourself, What's your purpose? He's, um, a very family oriented person.
I'm very hands on Dad.
And the fact that people don't realize because they're jaded by the outfit that I wear their jaded by energy on the field there, jaded by the football, figure off who I am.
So that's just something that Cam Newton said, Patriots obviously dropping a lot of guys from the cloud draft class this year.
And there's one guy that the Patriots have had a good start with, uh, Michael on.
You know, he is an offensive lineman they got from the sixth round.
Uh, he one for Michigan and he had to start this past week came Oh, excuse me, sorry he had to start this game due to the fact that left guard job Tooni had just go to center.
So that being said that what New had to get asked to play left guard on Sunday and the co offensive line coach called, Popovich said on Tuesday, He said that he's done a really good job of picking up our offense and system.
He's been saying that he's been asking a lot of questions, doing really well with Reps.
And the one thing is that Bill Belichick said about Mike Owino is versatility.
He played right guard of Michigan, and that's pretty much the only spot he played.
Curie's work, both guards and worked at right tackle and right tackle, is a new position for him left guard, even though guard is guard, footwork is all different over there, where he played yesterday for Joe, kind of like playing left handed when you've been playing right in your whole life, Uh, Bill said, I think he's in a really good job.
He's a smart kid.
He's got a lot of physical plane strength.
He's a good athlete, He's got good football smarts and awareness and he's done a good job for us playing right tackle and then yesterday card panel, some good situations.
He learned a lot, and he's still got a long way to go.
But a lot of good things.
Uh uh, pro football focus gave a window the highest greater than you on the Patriots office and the whatever the Raiders, which obviously says a lot.
So good job for Michael and Window.
But the fact that David Andrews, air starting Center for the Patriot, is gonna be out at least three weeks or two.
He's got put on IR as well as defensive player Ricky Josh UK.
Here they're high on hay is also out.
So with that being said, I think that you're starting offensive lines in the same as last week.
Still at when at left tackle a window at right at left guard, uh, tuning at center on, then Mason and eliminar at right tackle.
So you know they had a assembling parts on the offensive line.
But I think overall, you know, especially with the way that they were to run block, was very encouraging and hopefully that they can keep the ball rolling against a really good team coming up in Kansas City.
One quick thing that Robert Kraft, the owner, said about Cam Newton E.
I haven't really kind of talked about.
What Crafts has thought about Newton was must be a lot of craft stuff Brady, but he said, he said, You know he said, this craft said He said He said this on CBS Sports radio interview.
He said, I would tell you I can't understand how he's on the market for 86 days.
Perhaps said of Newton, Sometimes when you meet people who are number one picks in the league, they're not always team first kind of guys, and he really is.
Our whole locker room feels it.
I thought I understood a little bit about discrimination because of the religion.
I was born into Cramped, who was Jewish, told CBS.
But it wasn't until the George Floyd incident having our players telling us that their parents had to tell them how to dress.
If they go into an A T M machine, how they act if they're stopped by the police, it's just completely changed me and made me understand that I had to do that.
I also have to be a better listener.
So I was coming from Robert Kraft, the owner of the New England Patriots, talking about Cam New, uh, the Patriots brought in.
They brought in a guy at linebacker for work out by the name of Michael, uh, technique Pickney played at Looks like you played a Miami University for football the Week five game between the pictures and writers, according to Adam Schefter yesterday, I believe he said this, uh, it has been flexed against the Denver Broncos, which is kind of interesting, because Denver is losing a lot right now.
Pieces and everything like that.
Uh, but with that being said, the Patriots Broncos game has moved from Week five from one o'clock PM to 4 25.
So that being said, the Patriots have a 4 25 game this Sunday.
They have one against Denver the following Sunday.
Then they have their bye week, and then they have a 4 25 games after the bye week, staying at home against the San Francisco 40 Niners.
So there's a lot of primetime games that the Patriots have coming up not too many one o'clock games, but they will have some closer to for the second hats and part of the season.
Obviously the pages air.
Still mourning the loss of their another teammate, James White, and his father, Uh, James, obviously, for those that don't remember or don't aren't aware of the whole situation, James was declared inactive, uh, this past Sunday, and I sent him my condolences, actually, here on the show last week.
Tuesday, which is that pictures of just 23 James White, one of the best on and off the field, guys you'd probably ever know.
And then I got the chance to, you know, meet him, um, for a night in a really nice guy.
Uh, James, His father, unfortunately passed away the night before the, uh, Patriots Seahawks game.
He passed away in Florida in a car crash.
His mother, his his dad's name is Tyrone.
His mother's name, I think.
Isn't it reading her name? Stinnett.
Uh, I'm not sure exactly if that's right or not, but she's in critical condition.
Also, James has been with the mother for a long time.
Still also morning losses, Father.
So obviously is going through a rough time.
And like once again, I send my condolences.
My prayers over to James going through this tough time.
The Patriots and a lot of guys of you know, his mother's name's Lisa.
His father, James Tyrone.
Well, the organization decided, have a moment of silence against the Raiders this past Sunday in honor of James and his father.
Ah, lot of Gods and the Patriots.
Ah, lot of his teammates.
Rex Burkhead was, uh, in tears about it, saying that he's been unbelievable person leader on the team, him being away, Of course, the situation him and his family are going through, It's tough.
Hey, was finding back some tears.
Were just trying to go out there trying to give play for him.
Give it our all, uh, and he said he's a he's a brother to him on.
That's what a lot of other guys you're saying.
Tell me Michelle and other team that running back, especially with the running back grouping so close, Michelle said.
I can speak for myself thinking about him a lot, texting and making sure it's good, good staying in good spirits.
Rest of the backs, I believe to the same thing.
We all to come together, play hard.
That's what James Thio, that's what James White.
He doesn't complain.
He goes to work every day.
Guys that I'm sure you hear those things all the time.
But as who he is enjoyed Ellmann, one of the main captains now teammates.
One of Tom Brady's best friends, Julian Elements, said with White being the man and teammate years, they want to fight for him the way they all know he would fight back, said Elman said.
One of our brothers is hurt.
It puts a lot of things in perspective.
James for James White being the man, he is an outstanding got on the field, in the locker room off the field to go through what he's gone through the last week, our thoughts and prayers have been with them.
It's a good of us motivation to go out there and play for him because, you know, for a fact, that's the kind of God that's kind of James.
What is or something like that happened to one of us? You do the same thing.
It's been a tough, really tough situation and that's but not leaves.
There's a couple other guys have said stuff, but try Thio, Uh, you know, move forward with this, uh, show.
Matt Slater, who obviously captain long term Patriot Matt Slater said.
It's times like this that give perspective about life beyond football.
They're doing what they can to support White and his family from afar.
Uh, Mats Mats later said.
We certainly were playing for James, not just James entire family.
This has been a difficult week for all of us, certainly for us as a team, it brings perspective.
It brings perspective beyond the game of football and understanding that life is such a fragile thing.
Anything could happen any point in time that totally can change your life.
People you love changes their lives.
We look forward having James getting back eso you could just support him, put our arms around and let him know that we love him.
So once again, just which James the best of luck, I think he will be back on Sunday.
I'm not sure probably will find out more about this week from the injury report, but he's been out the last two weeks when it surprised me at all.
If it's another week, I I think a lot of us Patriot fans that picture friends, they're joining me here, but especially myself.
You know it Zef Really tough.
You know, I had obviously adjust pressure with Lost my grandmother this past August.
You know, it's That's obviously it's tough for sure.
Uh, you obviously lose somebody that means so much to you.
It just takes a lot of, you know, kind of grieving stuff.
I mean, and I definitely I definitely know where he's going out there.
All right, The Chiefs.
That's the biggest, uh, game on.
Well, I don't know if that the Patch Chiefs is the biggest game of something, but it's one of them.
We got the Patrick Mahomes against Cam Newton.
Brady was quite something.
Uh um, you know, I don't know if you guys were aware, but when the Chiefs play the Patriots Patriots won 43 40 a couple years ago, and Stephen Gostkowski had a game on the field goal.
I was at the game.
It's probably the best one of the best football games ever been sitting at least one of the top three Patriots games I've ever been to this team.
The jury of that team that I saw a couple of years ago is practically still back together, at least for the offense.
Uh, Sir Patrick Mahomes.
They played the Mark Jackson uh, M V P type showdown yesterday, Monday Night Football, and it basically was a lopsided overall game.
The cheese to have a couple of mistakes.
They had a couple miss, fewer goals and a couple of a fumbler here to which kept the Ravens back into the Times.
But Mahomes had a field day.
He had five touched four or five touchdowns.
Hit type Hey, hit Tyree Kill, which Hill already has been an absolute stud, has a touchdown every game so far.
Travis Kelsey has been an absolute study as a touchdown every game so far.
So they, you know, you could spread everywhere on that field.
Mahomes, if you give them time.
They had drafted Clyde Edwards, a layer who has been absolutely phenomenal, just ADM or two, that lethal offense.
They added a speech.
They've drafted speech here last year.
Michael Harmon, who just makes a lot of big players, especially on special teams.
So this tune, especially on their offenses, doesn't have a lot of holes.
For sure, they're considered be one of the best teams this year.
No doubt they're defending champs.
Oh, but I got some keys to the game in terms off what the Patriot should do if they want to pull some pulling up set off.
The Patriots have played Mahomes couple times if it makes you guys feel better.
Last year, the Patriots only lost by 7 23 16.
Patriots, uh, had a chance to actually tie that game.
It was kind of, you know, I'm obviously past it now in terms of what happened at the end.
But, um, Mahomes only had one touchdown, that game, even an interception.
Mahomes has high couple picks in the past against the Patriots.
They've had a way to find a way to create a turnover here and there.
The Chiefs, uh, they did a couple turnovers yesterday and the Patriots, I think one or two things is you're gonna have to find a way to get some turnovers on this team because every one of the quickest teams that could go from one side of the field to another is.
But, you know, second, uh, I mean, that's being over over dramatic here, but, you know, they could make one small play into pretty much to the house.
They have all that ability.
Thio and my home's obviously has a can of an arm, as we've seen in the league.
So I think the biggest thing is to have a guy to have a spy on a couple of their main camp made their main players, which the pictures have found past.
How are you going, Thio? Are you going? Thio Shadow on Kelsey and Much prayer Interested on water last week and also have a guy, maybe a younger kind of type of guy that has speed.
It's gonna be hard to You obviously contained the speed of Tyree kill, but obviously do what you can to take him at least out of the game a little bit earlier on the game.
Hill, for the most part, feeds off.
If he has a great start two games, he just has a way to find a knack and just has a great break out from there.
Hartmans also a guy look out for walk ins.
Robinson, Uh, you know, they just have a lot on that offense, and, you know, it's one thing that you know you're gonna You're gonna be given a place.
It's just gonna be the matter of the case.
You know, there's going to be placed.
Uh, and, uh, obviously, it's going to be It's gonna be tough, uh, to see what happens.
So I think when the Patriots are gonna have to be able to what he has to find a way to move the football, they're going to have to create different ways to, uh, no move the ball and find a way to make place, because that's basically their only way to, you know, win this game.
They have to find ways to make plays, and we'll have to see what happens for sure.
Um, home so far this year.
Aid to completion percentage, uh, for nine touchdowns.
No interceptions, 898 passing yards.
Edwards Aware has 55 attempts.
A Russian for 240 yards, 4.
4 average yards of rush.
One touchdown rush.
Calc inhale on average, more than 10 yards a catch.
Um, Andy Reid to the coaching Andy Reid is.
I thought early on in his coaching career, he was one of the most controversial, you know, makes a lot of interesting calls.
It's just a lot of weird stuff towards any games.
But now you add Patrick Mahomes, one of the best quarterbacks in the league, and he's doing a lot of creative things with Mahomes.
You he made a couple, you know, you definitely uses the advantage of their speed that they have receiving car, and obviously they, you know they do really well.
Now find finding guys open clock.
Management's obviously big and crucial.
So that's a little bit about the candidate Chiefs.
It's a 4 25 games on CBS on Sunday.
I hope you all get a chance to watch.
Give me a lot of fun being a great game.
So that's a quick little update.
Their quick just want to quickly go to the breakdown of Brady against the ****ing against the ****ing his third games two and one.
Now he's the same market, the Patriots going in.
They face the charges next week at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.
One o'clock PM Hey had 297 yards passing.
It was private, probably his best game so far as a book, even though he said that there is definitely some things to work out, which there is still, but he a couple of touchdown passes.
He even hit Gronkowski for a couple of couple catches.
Chris Guy, one who came up or later in the game with the injury, which has had Bastable weeks he's been dealing with.
But God, we had a touchdown catch and then got Mike, Evans said.
Couple red zone uh, touchdown catches as well.
So you have three touchdowns on the day was Tom Brady.
Bill Bill Took also said, In terms of the Chiefs, just quickly going back, he said, We need to play and coach your best game against them, which we'll check You are absolutely right.
So that being said, that'll be it for my Patriots segment.
It was around 45 minutes and to get the headlines here, some of the news and I'll get into more of this because there's definitely more updates on it.
But the NFL has had, you know, I was doing so what their covert testing and everything like that.
And now this morning that came to a first turtle and which was gonna be expected, something was obviously gonna happen.
You've seen it with a bunch of these leads that, you know, danger in happened eso the Titans and the Vikings played each other this past Sunday, every one of the game's on.
On Sunday, there were, uh, several players, 88 positive eight s.
So it was the Italians closer, officially until Saturday, after three players and five team personal members tested positive or covert on the NFL, announced on Tuesday.
Now the Titans were supposed to play the Steelers.
Um, on Sunday, they're supposed to plan the Titans or not have closed their facilities until Saturday, so they can't practice in person.
What they're gonna do is they're gonna do a lot of their meetings, all virtual on.
Mike Vrabel, their head coach, apparently said that day.
You know, they will have potentially walked around Saturday and just play on Sunday that that happen to be the case.
There's obviously it's It'll be tough and come to a certain advantage, which see the students would have, I don't really know in terms of what else to say about it.
It's gonna be more interesting to see as the week goes on.
That's obviously the first really big hurdle of the the NFL has faced so far.
Uh, there's more update news about it, though a new positive tests have been confirmed that the additional testing source told ESPN's Kevin Seifert.
John Graziano said those have been tested positive and been asymptomatic as a Tuesday morning.
The Times, A abundance of caution issued a statement saying that they helped in person work Tuesday.
So there's a lot of stuff going on with this certain situation.
The NHL. Congratulations.
And I'll talk a little bit more about on Thursday.
But congratulations to the Stanley Cup award winners, the Tampa Bay Lightning.
They were clearly the best team, Uh, in this NHL bubble like they have, they have what it takes to win it all.
They will have a parade on a things through by boat on the river marking Tampa Bay.
That's scheduled for tomorrow, I believe at 5 p.m.
And then they're gonna have a social distance thing tomorrow night and Raymond James Stadium.
So that should be interesting, that probably have some stuff online and said, you know, watch.
But congratulations once again to Tampa Bay also want to congratulate the runner up in Dallas stars a fantastic season.
I don't think a lot of people who expect Dallas stars to go to the Stanley Cup final.
But they did, and they played a really tough next to really tough opponent in Tampa Bay.
As a Bruins fan, I could relate to the Stars and the fact that we came so close.
Uh, you know, we obviously lost in tough fashion.
But, you know, you just obviously can't discredit enough, though, how much you put the work in and the fact that you could get that far.
You still should be so proud.
Um, in terms of the n B A by Boston Celtics came up short.
Uh, they can, I'm sure.
In the Eastern Conference final.
Once again, they lost to the Miami Heat.
Congratulations through the Heat, their now taking on LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers.
Uh, the NBA funds in the Orlando bubble a bit tomorrow night. I believe.
Game one starts at 9 p.m.
And then baseball.
The postseason starts today.
Azam, currently watching a game right now Tampa Bay and Toronto, and there's one nothing Temple in the bottom of sixth.
I'll go through quickly the rest of the matchups for the post season.
So far, eso three Astros and twins are playing each other.
And that's this is these are all best of three matchups, first in the first round.
Yeah, it shows they're up.
One known there in their around.
They want 41 today over the Twins.
The White Sox won 41 or the age those.
That's another matchup.
Lucas Giolito for the White Sox was hurling with a no hitter instead of the bottom of the seventh.
I believe that got broken up.
The Yankees and Indians.
They have their first game tonight that will get underway and a bit here.
And then tomorrow you got the Reds and Braves, Marlins, Cubs, Cardinals and Padres eso, and then the Dodgers face Brewers.
Eso uh, it's great to have them will be season baseball back.
Regardless, they're not much of terms of fans.
They potentially maybe down the road, but just to get some postseason baseball back.
Even though it's a little bit different, it's always great.
And the fact that there's more teams in this postseason, it should be a lot more fun.
And, you know, uh, Toe Seymour team potentially have a chance to go at it.
There's obviously probably won't be more of a favorite, if not I mean, I have the Dodgers won it all, but, you know, I don't think it happened, so All right, so we're almost to the hour mark here.
Top of the hour.
