we're going to stick to what we know.
Fundamentals and techniques.
1% better every day.
All right, so I guess now you understand what the plan Waas Absolutely at coleslaw.
We talked Indianapolis Colts football.
We're going to stick to what we know fundamentals and techniques 1% better every day.
Hello, I'm Lord Tone.
And this is SportsCastr news.
So DeAndre Hopkins has stated that he would like to have that same similar connection with Kyler Murray on his new team, the quarterback, as he had with the Texans.
With to Sean Watson, he said, My expectation is us becoming best friends.
I have to be on the same page is my quarterback no matter what, for us to be successful as a team, Obviously, we don't have a lot of time to get ready, so every red really count.
But I think Eilers mindset is we're gonna make it all work.
So that's my mind, said as well.
Obviously, the connection that the Sean Watson and DeAndre Hopkins had together was astounding, just astounding.
It was a situation where whenever DeShaun Watson got in any kind of trouble or had to get a first down or had to get a completion or a touchdown or something.
He just threw in the shot or Hopkins way and knew he was coming down with the football.
When you have arguably the best receiving wide receiver in the NFL, that's a luxury that he had.
Now Kyler Murray has.
This is Kyler Murray going toe have that same connection with Hopkins in his first season? Most likely not.
Obviously, it takes time for a quarterback and a wide receiver toe, kind of get to know each other, right? Understand what their actions are, how fast they move, where they like the football will, where they will be at a certain point in time during the play on different routes.
There's all kinds of things that takes just time and practice repetitions in order to get down.
DeShaun Watson had years to get this down with Hopkins.
Kyler Murray not only has just this season, he hasn't even had this offseason due to the Cove in situation he made will practice with him until just this past week.
Don't expect this massive connection.
Expect Kyler Murray to still go to guys like Christian Kirk, right? Expect him to go toe Larry Fitzgerald or even Kenyan Drake more often than what he will.
It's not a knock on DeAndre Hopkins.
Hopkins is still one of the best receivers in football, but Kyler Murray is gonna have a better feel for those previous players.
That what he does with DeAndre Hopkins now as the season progresses and they get more reps together, fully expected to fully blow up and Kyler I mean, cause Keiler is a very similar player to watch in, right.
You've got a strong arm.
He moves in the pocket.
Well, he extends plays.
Uh, so it's something that you're going to see a similar situation with in Arizona, as you saw in Houston.
At least that's my thought.
But what's the big problem with this is if the offensive line it's the same situation.
Kyler Murray's in the same situation to Sean Watson's been in for years.
Last year, Kyler Murray with fact, more than any other quarterback in the NFL, he was tied with Russell Wilson and Matt Ryan for being sacked 48 times, 48 kinds.
I mean, my goodness, he had an eight point 8.
1% of his drop backs resulted in a sack.
You're not going to get a lot of extra stuff out of that.
You don't want to be fact that many times, another situation that is really not good on Kyler.
Murray's part is his yards per catch and yards per attempt.
Yards per catch, 25th worst in the NFL, 10.
7 yards per catch.
Yards per attempt.
Yeah, I mean, I mean only go down.
He was 20 24th no.
20 seconds tied for 23rd total with Case Keenum and Sand Donald at 6.
9 yards per attempt.
Now there's there's reasoning for this.
His most explosive player right there is Christian Kirk, right? When you got guys like I mean, I love me.
I absolutely love Larry Fitzgerald and I love DeAndre Hawkins, but they're not.
Go down the field and get the football.
Burn the top off the defense there, the sure handed guys that's going to catch the football underneath and guaranteed to catch and move the chains.
That's the kind of receivers that Kyler Murray has, Whereas Christian Kirk is a little bit better at taking the top off the defense.
I think Keiler is going to need another one of those or two in orderto really extend more yards per play.
I think over the next few seasons, I think Kyler, Murray and Hopkins they're gonna have absolute break out.
They're gonna have great chemistry together.
And I think that they're gonna be one of the best one to, uh, passing combos in the NFL.
I wouldn't be surprised.
I was the surprise of Larry Fitzgerald.
You know, retires either at the end of this year or next, because DeAndre Hopkins is a similar receiver but younger.
But we need to see the Arizona Cardinals really put some help for him on that all offensive line because he ran for his life a lot in his rookie season.
Not to mention, I mean, it was his rookie season, right? I mean, he had to catch up to the speed of the NFL at quarterback.
You generally don't have great seasons as a rookie at quarterback, and yet Kyler Murray had a pretty good feet of me offensive rookie of the year for a reason.
But you can't say it was a great season form. 20 touchdowns.
Ah, 10 interceptions.
right or 12 interceptions, I believe, is what it is.
Yeah, 20 receptions, 12 or 12 interceptions, 20 touchdowns.
I'm sorry, guys.
64 a half completion percentage is absolutely stud marking for a rookie quarterback, especially one that has no offensive line in front of him.
I will give him that and that goes into concert with the yards per attempt, the yards per catch, Ah, yards per game.
I mean yards per game to 32 not the best in the NFL.
By any stretch of the means.
I believe it's He was sitting at 23rd in the NFL, right so But I expect that to go up because his rookie season is now over and I think he's gonna calm down a little bit.
He knows he's got good receivers to throw to.
I think he knows that that, ah, Arizona is going to attempt to keep bringing help for him.
Hopkins is just the tip of the iceberg.
The only problem is, is look at the division Arian.
Look at the division the Arizona Cardinals is in.
I mean, my goodness, they got they got to deal with two of the best teams in the NFC in Seattle, in San Francisco.
So as much as I like the up and coming abilities of the offense of this team, I don't see them making the playoffs.
I would love to see them in the next two or three years, make the playoffs and become a contender, especially with Kyler Murray.
But first we got to see him even get into the playoffs.
I was able to make the playoffs.
They didn't do anything in the playoffs, but they were able to make it there.
I don't I want to see them make it first and then do something with Hopkins that he wasn't able to do in Houston and let's make noise in the playoffs.
But like I said, that's a couple years down the road.
Um, my goodness, the depth chart is awesome.
So long as they get some more help on that offensive line, maybe get him a better tight end.
That would be nice, right? But that's just how I see this team rolling this year.
I think that, uh, Kyler Murray DeAndre Hopkins are going to have ah, a good showing.
Well, Hopkins have 1000 yards receiving this year.
You might see Christian Kirk and Larry Fitzgerald eat a lot of those receptions.
I think DeAndre will be that in zone Target.
He may end up getting more than 10 touchdowns, but I don't see Kyler Murray going to DeAndre Hopkins as much, especially early in the season as Watson was.
Watson went toe Hopkins because he knew he was guaranteed every time Tyler's got people out there that he could throw the football, too.
I could see Hopkins getting anywhere between 811 100 yards receiving and maybe 12 touchdowns this year.
But expect Christian Kirk to have good numbers as well, probably close to around 1000 yards receiving.
Maybe Larry Fitzgerald gets around 6 700 yards receiving.
Well, if that adds up, that's near 3000 yards right there in just three people.
I expect Kyler Murray's yardage to go up this season as well, by huge numbers, huge numbers.
I mean, he only had 3700 yards.
I expect him to break the 4000 yard mark with the additions that he's had and the fact that he's no longer a rookie, and he understands the playbook better.
He understands the speed of the NFL better.
He understands what is his expectations of his offensive line.
He understands his run game.
Or so I think Kyler Murray will have a very good season this year.
I don't have a lot of I don't have a lot of faith in their defense, and that's why I do not think that they're going.
Obviously, Patrick Peterson is could corner Buddha.
Baker is Ah, Byron Murphy's not too shabby, you know.
But my goodness, Chandler Jones is not the same guy.
Jordan Phillips could very well be very good.
You got some youth on this team.
It's going to take time for this team to be cohesive and understand the NFL and make noise.
I'm excited to see what this team could do in the future.
So I want a Nick shoe pop.
