Good evening, everyone.
You were listening to return a sports episode 12th.
I'm your host, Ben Cruise, and we have a packed show for you guys once again tonight.
I know I am starting a lot earlier, but now we are in a world in sports that there's actually a lot of sports going on, and it's obviously it's great to watch live personally for me.
And so I wanted Teoh have earlier so tonight because we got a lot of I got.
There's a lot of sports that are going to be going on for the next couple of days, which is obviously, I know we're still going through really tough times, Cove it and obviously with the Risch race that we've been facing our country, but to get some sports back.
Hopefully, for a lot of people Kenbrell in some type of enjoyment, maybe a little bit of the distraction as well.
And obviously, this show that I do the guys every Thursday night.
I know I talk about every single sport and obviously the latest, and now we're getting into a point of that.
There's live either live games going on, um, or there's a practice team or leaks.
Players are playing against other teams, which is obviously a beautiful sight to see.
Um, even without no fans right now, you know, you could still see it on TV.
And depending on how long seasons go, I know you know, it's not gonna be a purpose, Inari by any means.
But this year, what's going on? But to see live sports is obviously right now it's just great.
And, um, like, always tell a lot of people.
And I'll tell you guys say by audience, obviously take every day, cherish it.
Um, and obviously, don't don't take anything for granted, for sure.
Um, because, you know, for you just never know what happens.
Um, no day by day.
So, um, you know, got another part show tonight? Um, you know, NFL or get into a lot of stuff.
Training camp stuff coming up.
And obviously, the NFL hundreds came out on them.
I'll talk about the Marlins had an outbreak.
Joe Kelly had an incident, as baseball is been playing for the last couple of days for now, N b A.
That returned tonight, so their first game starts extorting.
Then there's another game afterwards, that's gonna be really good.
And then I'd shell their exhibition games going on right now, but I could see the Riedel tournament begins on Saturday.
So before we get into a well, that forget started, if you guys have any questions, comments, questions, concerns you could put in the child life section You guys of anything after my episode tonight.
Like, always mentioned I have my Twitter profile posted my SportsCastr page.
I can foamy that SportsCastr dot com slash th byork radio.
Do you w on as I am part of the breakdown channel.
Um, for, um, my part of the brake downtown.
So they're also in SportsCastrs.
So, um, welcome everyone tonight.
I hope you all having agreed Thursday.
Probably beyond life for at least about our our 15 minutes.
I'll baby serve that tonight that I'll get into some videos.
No, last we got in and get the chance to.
But I know Jeff passing has some stuff, and I will be that I'm gonna get into Ah, whoa.
Just finally back.
And he's back on TV with some videos for sure.
Which is obviously great to see after he had a suspension for a little while.
So, um, got into a lot of stuff tonight and I'm looking for Well, it's concert, so we'll start with the NFL in their segment.
Obviously, I fell.
They're working on their safety testing protocols as we speak.
Still, training camp is coming up really well.
It's, um, and start to see, um, players make their decision In terms of that, they want to opt in, opt out, um, of their season with, Obviously, that's being, um, a very unique type year.
Um, so I'll get into some players and some teams that have a lot of players opting out.
And there's different types of OCD awesome to talk to you guys a little bit about.
So, um, we'll start the NFL.
But before we get into the safety protocols and some of the players that opted out the NFL when hundreds came out this week and the top four guys are from number one, congratulations to Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens.
Quarterback um Lamar was the M V P this year, I believe for the regular season, several NDP was Patrick Mahomes, but I think a lot of people were surprised about Lamar being the number one with Patrick Mahomes actually being number four.
Mahomes with Behind Russell Wilson.
Um, now, do I think Lamar Jackson should be in the top five? Yes.
So I think you should be number one overall.
I mean, you could make an argument for the driver season.
But Lamar Jackson, remember? Hasn't won a playoff game.
And obviously, if you look at Russell Wilson Russell Wilson at things very underrated as a quarterback, Um, he's just a very humble, um, he's one has won the best peoples in the game.
Um, and he just uses a great teammate.
Somebody they just want to be around and just everything the right way.
Obviously him in.
Ah, his wife, Sarah.
It's They are just out of babies.
So congratulations to the Wilson family.
Um, uh, they had a couple of days ago, so obviously congratulations to them.
So congratulations to rust as well as he came in second.
And then number three was Aaron Dolf, defensive tackle.
Well deserved for the the ramps.
Uh, my patriots, um we had one guy come the top 100.
Stefan Gilmer, Defensive Player of the year, really became in ninth and then some former ah, former The Goat.
Overall time Tom Brady came in.
14th goes you Congrats, Tom.
And then join gentlemen.
Obviously for the Pats, he was snubbed out of the top of 100 so that obviously gave some head toward us for a bunch of people.
But congratulations to some of the guys that I mentioned.
Congratulations to all the guys between the hunt number one and the number 100 the NFL 100.
I know it's obviously something called the Watch, pretty much highlighting each number of a player that got awarded there and a bunch of guys on YouTube on different bass.
That's about that certain player.
And they do kind, different clips and stuff.
It's pretty cool.
If you guys want to check in it, check it out for sure.
I've been watching some of the the players on their videos, for sure, but with that being said, let's get into ah, some or the testing protocols and everything that leading up to camp, which is pretty much starting right now.
Ah, travel route least rookies are on their way, since, um, some veteran affairs is starting to make their work out as Well, um, so I mean, for NFL, at least we're kind of back into the swing of things for a lot of things.
Um, so many players for the season who have opted out of the NFL season are due to many reasons.
Kobe concerns, obviously, is the number one family matters.
And then obviously players with hot better that played with high risk in the past.
So there's different types of opt outs.
Player option onto the volunteer opt outs.
Ah, higher risk opt outs or unspecified opt outs.
So all kind of just go by each team and kind of go to players for each one.
Um, there's obviously a lot more than I haven't gone into, but these are the most that I've gotten the chance to kind of my research with, Um, so you see these little guys that I decided to opt out and decided to, um, uh, go for next season and not play this year.
So let's start with the ratings De'anthony Thomas kick returner Andre Smith of offense of lineman off the bill start star, but literally a defensive tackle.
Cowboys Marie's candidate and wide receiver Stephen Degree Packers Devin Funches, who Packers just gotten sauce season? Ah, heck, Houston Texans.
Eddie Vanderdoes, The Kansas City Chiefs offense of lineman ah Warren durin A tart if, um and also Damien Williams Patriots that pages have had the most opt out so far.
Linebacker Donta Hightower, Capital Running back Burning Bolin Offense. Linemen.
Nagy, Theron uh, Patrick.
Shown and portly today.
A player from the PATH Special teams captain Matthew Slayer was reportedly going opt out, but he is now probably scheduled to opt in and play this year.
It's obviously, I think, big news for the Pats with some of their key guys coming out.
But most of the guys that are that are not going to play or due to, um, family matters and obviously understanding matters.
Um, proficient celery with a tough year for many people for share.
Ah, higher risk up. Doubts.
Um, the Vikings offensive tackle Michael Pierce offense of lineman Marcus Can for the Patriots can in a couple years ago was overcoming Ah, not non Hodgkin's lymphoma in the Washington football team.
This is kind of that temperature name for the Redskins right now.
Defensive and Caleb Brantley is on that west, and then I'm specified opt out is, uh, Cantor's linebacker.
So those are the guys right now? Um, that I've seen them the latest on they sold a lot taco for, um, the Giants.
So those are the guys right now that are up and out.
So what does this mean? If a player ops out in terms of financially? Um so But to be a player ops out must provide club with written notification within seven days of the date that the NFL NFL players.
So she should finalize the agreement that includes, in terms of such opt outs to to be designated a voluntary opt out, a player must be under contract or subjects to a tender.
The players contract will toll and all provisions of the contract for the told year will be a political following season.
However, he'll novice even cares season the player will be eligible first depend $150,000 to be treated as a salary advance against his toiled cut against us.
Told contract undrafted free agent, however, is not eligible for this.
Depend ah To be doesn't in the high risk Opto player must have a diagnosis reflecting their medical records of at least one of the following factors, which are based upon a modified west of the Centers for Disease Control.
Risk factors include cancer, chronic kidney disease, C o p d.
Which is chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Um, E moon ***ber compromised state from solid organ transplant.
A serious heart condition such as a heart failure, UM, a coronary artery disease or cardio and Anthony's sickle cell disease Type two diabetes.
Ah, such cystic fibrosis, High blood pressure.
Somebody's facing that immune deficiencies HIV, um, or any other immune? Weakening medicines.
I know there's a couple others that I didn't mention.
Um, but just some of those things that I mentioned are things that require a player with a higher risk opt out.
So this is I'm gonna also spy.
Why I'm gonna all this information from NFL com that's been coming out with a bunch of stuff.
Um, so So it's too.
It is mitt not mandatory for a high risk player to opt out.
Opt out of receiving a cured season toward free agency at all.
Benefits the minimum salary current for credited season.
It is also of the first depend of 350,000 which will not constitute a salary advance.
So that was, um, just some players that have opted out.
Um, I think they still have Teoh be getting of August for certain deadline.
I'm not sure if they fully agreed on the deadline date yet, but they want to make sure before really camp for veterans.
For sure starts pick up.
You know, kind of right now Ah, the veterans and a lot of the players.
They're really doing a lot of days kind of for testing.
And then really, a lot of the football padded practices and everything like that.
That's not going to be until I say, like the mid part of August until they really kind of cheese started.
Get football, really back in the year.
I mean, I know some guys have been clearing, have clear the testing protocols and getting tested, which I would have to get tested every day.
But obviously you have a certain amount of requirements that if you can get through awesome No, you know, tests.
That means that you could probably stuck in your working, so I really, really, really good article from the Ryner dot com and it basically has what what? Basically, the NFL Kobe Testing the contractor isn't gonna work like this year.
Um, and it was just several interested it.
See a bunch of doctors that have been this article kind of talked about a couple of things.
Um, and I decided to get person notes and and kind of see what they kind of said, because it's a lot of stuff, but it's not a lot of important stuff.
So So before the Rovers season kicks off and the kick off date for anybody that is just wanted to know it is Thursday, September 10th.
The NFL main goal is to work on it, testing protocols and everything before that.
So this is reported by Peter King.
For those we're not aware.
Peter King works and NBC Sports, and he basically said that the NFL NFL's goal is to mitigate the virus spread by testing players and essential staffers daily Players who test positive have symptoms.
Most wait for 10 days after their positive tests and has 72 hours without any symptoms.
Test negative ah, and be approved by a team doctor in consultation with leading medical officials to return, according to Peter King players a test positive in our asymptomatic must wait at least five days and test negative toys before being a lot of return or wait 10 days now.
The other the biggest thing about contractors as being isolate players.
So they said in this article that isolating players who test positive might sound easy but determined everyone who was exposed to the infected person remains a challenge in a sport that's a contact sport like football, Um, they basically have no kind of playbook.
Yeah, I guess you could say for its contact sports like football.
I mean, it's just it's just not There's really no way you can social distance at all.
I mean by any means in the sport.
But, uh, from from a Baylor School of Medicine infectious diseases Doctor, basically what I got out of this waas, the point of being will contact The point of testing is being able to contract truce.
And that's what said from the from the doctor.
Anyone who has spent more than 15 minutes within six feet of somebody who s covitz your quarantine for 14 days on the field, football players are continually within 16 of each other especially the line of scrimmage and even a distancing six feet during football games.
Practices were impossible.
It really might not be enough.
Um, so from an assistant professor of infectious diseases at Wayne State University, Gretchen Newman has your name.
Heavy breathing may spread droplets as far as 12 feet or four yards.
Um, or football players on the field while they're playing the linemen are really your most at risk people, which is obviously ah, you know, obvious for many occasions because player offensive Eimer are playing in their stance and they're pretty much face to face with somebody that is, like right on right on them about like this much apart.
And they basically heavy hitting, colliding in a contact sport, which pretty much your spit in your you know, your obviously you're colliding.
So it obviously you could feel like it's sprints through that way so that instead of NFL, you can't socially distance.
One of the things the NFL is talking about is it was experimenting an Oakley NFL mask, face mask and, well, they aren't mandatory.
Um, a lot of the NFL is saying that they are recommending this as as an option.
But for a guy like J.
Watt, he thought he wanted to try a mask, uh, Hummer with the face mask couple years ago.
But I was pretty cool and he didn't like it.
And he has said seven, interview several weeks ago that if he has to wear it, he might considering not plain.
He said that he said that in an interview that he might not play it.
He has to do that now.
Gretchen Newman, that doctor.
I just mentioned things that the helmets will not work with Al filters.
So, um, with the but the finish, she'll never been like that.
Even if they have a certain protection kind of over that the filter with the face mask even with like it not being totally covered up in my not work, too.
Um, you know, effectiveness by any means.
So I read this to, and I didn't know about this, but the Ravens tight end Mark Andrus.
He's one of the is one of, ah, known of a type one diabetic, and he already, um, he was the Ducks calm monitor during games to manage his diabetes.
He's open toe wearing masks during the games when he's not playing.
And yours actually said, I don't think people really understand how much wearing a mask really can prevent the spread of code of 19.
I have no problems.
Weren it on the practice field on the sideline? I don't know if I'll be worrying it when I'm playing well when I'm on the sideline and when my helmets off.
I don't see why, when aware, I'm gonna wear it as much as possible.
Um, also to, you know, NFL making agreement earlier in the month, so to just in terms of the protocols and everything like that.
Dan if all 32 teams were required to submit specific protocols, Um, as if to Tuesday From this week, the NFL Players Association has approved 25 of the testing and safety protocols given from those teams.
Um, the teams were making sure to monitor It seemed facilities to make instrument, doing their daily testing players schedules for weight training, um, changing facilities so the players and eat shower and also making sure the locker room is also accessible to players during the day.
They have a max number of 80 people, 80 players off overall and then employees.
It looks like it's gonna be between 50 and 100.
Ah, I was to correct me.
If I'm wrong, I'm not happen.
Sure, it that's that's that's it not, But that's at least from what I kind of got out of reading the NFL Employees Aware device when there are the facility that will track them through the building if a positive test.
But they find they will track the identify who was in close contact so they could be isolated.
They're illegals created Covad Reserve list.
Um, so there are also a bunch of players on that code list.
I'm not gonna get into any of them by any means, but they're several guys.
Um, William Johnson, offensive linemen.
Uh, Eagles was one of them.
Graham can? No, um, actually, the group you know from the Panthers got released today.
Um, Mason Crosby was another guy kicker from the Packers.
He got put on that list, so basically created Kroeber.
The reserve lists of sort of an injury reserve offered players a test positive or being quarantined far sterner so they might not have gone exposes a positive case, but they might have came in contact with somebody that tested positive.
Um, so this is another thing.
So players who contract the virus that are high risk, ah players could be fined for several reasons this year if they decide to go under venue that are hosting more than 15 people like a bar nightclub, a House party are concert.
The players could be fined.
They also be fined of the attention indoor religious service.
That's up to more than 25% players and personnel for you.
The daily tested for all 32 teams, will be required about 5760 combined test each day.
They test during training camp.
80,000 tests league wide in the 1st 2 weeks of August along, which is, I see a huge, huge number.
Um, the NFL is expected to pay about seven million for tested this year, according to the sports daily Ah, the number accounts on Lee for what the league Central offices paying.
So I got a little bit from the sports daily for that certain news.
Everything else that I talked about before the NFL 100 is pretty much from that lawn article Ah, from the rainer dot com.
So obviously that was a lot there for sure.
Um, so I talked a little about the 400 chocolate is helping safety protocols.
Um, now the pro football talk.
I'm gonna cut it. Kind of get into some stuff.
Um, you know, they reported around another additional 60 additional test per day at $125 each.
Construct Trees team.
The one thing about the NFL is a testing won't help the NFL on this.
Results come back quick during training camp.
Their lease expected to test results back within 24 hours.
Um, while you Moby has already gone outbreak, the NFL paths comeback will be tough.
Rely on testing and being able to continue.
Ah, this is virus.
It's the pro football talk at some stage.
Um, and, uh, some of the latest was the Dallas Cowboys over there.
Now, the latest teams that are gonna have no season ticket holders for 2020.
So any cowboy fans out there if you're a season ticket holder member and they do a lot of fans by any means, you could still go to a game.
But I would say I'm not exactly sure how the season tickets will go, because there's gonna be nobody with season tickets for this 2020 season.
On Wednesday, Lamar Jackson, quarterback for the Ravens, expresses feeling I wanted to play with Ah, for agent Antonio Brown to join the Ravens.
I see Lamar and maybe have been working out.
Ah, the Instagram and I like that.
And the Marlins president gonna wanna player the Antonio Brown and John Harbour, the coach of the Ravens didn't send the during that possibility, either.
Said, I respect for Lamar feeling that way, and we'll have to see what our team thinks about the potential option of burning Antonio Brown to the Ravens.
Any bucking your fans out there? Any people that want to see Tom Brady and the new uniform for the first time will Buck ends out there, announced that they were having reduced in capacity for C 2020.
I didn't get the certain amount of capacity percentage number, but I'm expecting it to probably be between in within the 25 to 35% capacity, Um, which is typical for pretty much a lot of other franchises, including my favorite team, New England Patriots.
Ah, Bruce Arians for the Buccaneers is talking about how much Tom Brady has gone way ahead of the curve.
Obviously, Brady, as much of competitive is you know he do workouts, uh, with just with some players, like a seven on seven.
So you actually even did them.
When the NFL Players Association weren't recommending guys who got there and doing workouts, he basically refused That, which obviously is a briefing, obviously, is a picture of fan. I love Tom.
What does this doesn't make about to see at that point? I was kind of has a 10 in terms of what he did, but ah, obviously with him, you know, let's have a day.
He gets a chance to get more working.
He's back the facility now, And perseverance has obviously been amazed in terms of how I had been doing with the book in your teammates and obviously, how much he's going to adjusting to a new team.
Okay, so that being said, that will be if the NFL segment, um, I got out to see obviously getting some fault lines, but ah, but that being said, I think I mean, take a look.
If there's any breaking news.
Ah, Vikings placed linebacker Anthony Bar on reserve Covad list, Um, and then forgetting any other breaking news or anything from the NFL as a go to my headlines at the end of my show tonight.
I'll get into that.
So the n b a the N b A is back.
I can't wait about basketball.
Really love A lot of these leaks actually love baseball.
Love football of hockey.
I'm single. Daskal.
So the NBA's coming back.
They're in this bubble.
And I'll tell you what.
For a league that was going to a hot spot in Florida between the N B. A.
The NHL and Major League Soccer Major League Soccer number were both down at Disney.
I know it's early, and I know it's several we send, but from the cove, it results in terms of testimonies players.
They've been doing an excellent, excellent job, and it just proves to show that zero positive cases for between the MBA Dennett Shell has had no positive cases lately, and the MLS, which comes to show for this year and even potentially for next year forget amount.
Next year is plain and bubbles is the best way to do it.
Right now you're seeing the NFL.
I didn't get into this part, but, uh, for the NFL segment.
But I did read that some Buffalo Bill Rockies, uh, tested positive for car of it.
I didn't get into the full story, but I'll talk into a little bit more about that in headlines.
So obviously, baseball's already got an outbreak.
I'll talk a little about that, Uh, my seven a bit about baseball and NFL Simonson troll in terms of testing protocols and everything like that, and they're not playing in a bubble.
Um, and next week next Thursday, I'll talk about should the NFL play in a bubble because obviously it's used them, then done with all the leagues were not playing the bubble doing really, really well, but there's obviously in my mind how they could do and obviously, how really they can't do it.
Unfortunately, But with that being said, the N B A is back.
And there's two games tonight, um, and got some breaking news on the spot that Zion Williamson we'll play tonight.
He was a game time decision.
I put that in my, uh, my notes, um for for headlines.
But Zion Williamson we'll play tonight.
I'm key. Obviously.
I think he was dealing with some time injury.
He allowed to lead the bubble for a family matter.
He came back warranty, and, you know, it was kind of a little behind schedule, but yeah, it's It's gonna be good.
Pelicans Just in at 6:30 p.m.
I an eagle is going to be on the call for that game and then Ah, Kirk me from Ron.
I'm actually looking this up right now.
Uh, the time of the nightcap, the second icap between the Lakers and the Clippers, and that's gonna be a fun, fun game.
Talk about Ah, great.
Start to two great teams for the season.
Um, yeah, nine o'clock is Clippers and Lakers live down in Orlando.
So that game will be on TNT as well with Kevin Harlan.
So, man, it feels good to get, like, live sports back right up and during a tough time.
You know, this year, obviously we're still dealing with Coleman.
It's gonna be we're gonna be dealing with it for a while, obviously with the race and everything like that, as.
Imagine the beginning of the show, but you should get some sports back with them.
Live sports even.
Um, just great to see, obviously the safety testing everything.
The safety obviously comes first for players and stuff like that, but it's crazy to think how much it is to Stephen.
A Sports obviously gives some glimmer of hope, I think, and obviously some excitement first of people that kind of need it right now.
So with that being said, the FBI, um, the MBA starts tonight.
My guest said, Pelicans jazz later slippers.
Uh, one of the big things from this week Waas The MBA is talking about information Road Janowski.
Um, he had a tweet, uh, this week about how the n b a bubble would that being really, really successful right now they might have to by Michelle Roberts D and B p A.
I believe she she works, um, she verse in that department.
Um, but she said the MBA might have Teoh playing the bulletin even next year.
Um, and I'll Connery mawr of this story as I'm speaking right now, but ah, with that being said, there's actually some way to stuff with the N B A in terms of some money stuff, but, ah, some social justice stuff.
But that being said, I wanted to get into a sparkle and uh, kind of talked to you guys about it.
So um, this is from Tune Bontemps, who works ESPN.
There's article on July 28.
So this was ya two days ago, he said.
As the MBA prepares to officially your start season in this public inside Disney World Resort on Broke Down today on There's another sports, mostly major league, I suppose, struggling to deal with the ongoing Cronus virus pandemic.
National Basketball Players Association executive director Michele Roberts said that returning to a bubble might be Onley visible way for the MBA to come plea next season as well, She said that tomorrow looks like today.
I don't know how you could say you could do it. Definitely.
Robert still is playing in a phone interview on Tuesday afternoon.
Tomorrow looks like today and today we all acknowledge, and this is not Michelle talking.
This is the legal together with the P A and our respective ex experts saying this is the way to do it and that's going to be the way we're gonna have to do it.
Roberts has been inside MBA Bubble is a league completed its final day of scrimmages Tuesday and moving closer to take me, not the resumption of the season on 6:30 p.
Thursday in Pelican Stays the Jazz.
So for the E S P that yet so far sorry that the NBA's gone three weeks, three weeks without a positive test inside the bubble and only to posit tests at all.
Book when Claire their ride on campus and preventing Kobe 19 from penetrating it.
I just use them a beacon with outbreaks and stuff, like down again.
To that, Um, Roberts also said, I'm not in the Trump camp and believing that's all going to go ahead two weeks.
I agree there, but I'm praying, praying that there will be different set of cir***stances that allow us to play in a different way.
But because I don't know, all I know is what I know now.
So maybe that if the bubble is the way to play, then it's gonna be likely the way we play next season.
Things remain as they are, she said.
I hope not because I would like to think that people in love with their families, But I can only comment on what I know and what it is right now on the MBA reserved a scheduled to resume a 2019 2020 season.
It is expected of a target date of December 1st to begin the 2020 2021 campaign, and she just keeps going on and on.
But with that being said, um, you know, just kind of talked about how the n b A you might have to have a global next year, and obviously with the bubble being really successful so far, it's actually a good potential option.
So the MPs started tonight.
I want there's a couple questions.
Um, you know that I worked at that? We're gonna be asked, Um, so records of the year John remembers Ion Um obviously John Moran Praga.
Probably get it because I in has been hurt for a lot of the years.
Even love Zeins been really really Ah, a great story to see so far.
Um, how LeBron furnace up this year with the Lakers? Ah, how What will happen with six years Ken's I make a playoff push can the FDA keep bedroom safe in this bubble? Which, at least for now it looks like, um, it's gonna look like it's gonna happen.
Um, what? India's stars.
We're gonna stand out.
What players gonna make a big push in this bubble? Um, nothing she was.
The MBA is going to be using artifact, artificial intelligence and a tap to cheer app featuring to help fans stick stuck at home.
Get in the game.
So they're gonna kind of like a virtual typesetting with fans.
And you can get this app and you'll be able to actually have yourself on in the bubble virtually, which would be kind of cool after player warmups within immediately parts the national anthem.
The 1st 4 days of the restore MBA will run a social distance feature on the video board.
Also, NBA's priority remains to get fans into arenas next season.
Regional posit extended periods are among brainstorms, but preference would be that those are minute in length sources said MBPs in the n b A and M B N b A players association and circle the results on the 344 players says pot ah, tested for cover 19 on the n B A.
Cans ****ed since last test results were announced on July 20th return confirmed.
Positive X rays were on Eric Gordon's left ankle.
He'll be gone for 1 to 2 weeks.
So it was kind of a short nb a segment.
But hope for the MBA comes back.
Comes back strong tonight.
Um and what that being said, I will get a Adrian Whoa! Janowski video.
Hopefully, you guys, uh, we'll get the chance to see Watch, uh, and which is also in the bubble.
So, uh, gearing up for the restart as compared to the stretch run of any See my set.
A different feel to it.
I can't afford to have to continue to check in with my family.
You know, every single day I'm checking my mom, making sure everything is still going well, especially in, and uncer*****y of 2020 has bought all over, so I can't afford to do that.
Just lose direct contact with everybody.
So But I'll there's seating in this year.
LeBron talking about his mindset entering the restart.
But what is the latest with his teammate Anthony Davis? Because obviously the health of those two guys is the most important factor for the Lakers, while he's continued to sit out Laker practices with that eye injury that he suffered Saturday against Orlando.
And, uh, Frank Vogel has said that Anthony Davis's status is unclear for the Lakers opener.
Uh, you know, here's the thing for the Lakers seeding in this playoff tournament has takes on a lot less significance because their home court advantage there's a reason for the Lakers toe have to push Anthony Davis out on the court unless he's 100%.
And remember to individually the all India voting the M V P voting.
All of that is finished.
There's no motivation for players either to go out and try to pat any stats here.
In the last eight games, the Lakers were gonna be very conservative with Anthony Davis.
That makes all the sense of the world.
It seems like that can treat this really as sort of a preseason and just to get themselves ready for August 17 2 playoff start.
Meanwhile, entries are concerned old ways, and Eric Gordon helped off the court yesterday.
What can you tell us about that? Uh, X rays were negative last night, and that left ankle greedy.
But I'm told the early estimate for air Gordon is potentially 1 to 2 weeks out of the Rockets lineup.
They'll know more today.
We'll see how the ankle several overnight, but he's an important part of this team.
He's likely their best defender, and they need him to be their third score behind Westbrook and James Harden.
And this is a team Houston that is only a game and 1/2 up from the seven seed.
And in this first round of the postseason, you want to avoid the Lakers at the Clippers.
And so not having him potentially for most or potentially, all of these seating games, you know, could be a riel issue for the Rockets.
I agree, and that's a good point that you bring up.
It's something for everyone to think about.
Home court advantage doesn't mean anything, but seeding means a lot because it depends on who it is.
You wind up playing.
Meanwhile, a team trying to get its way into the playoffs is New Orleans, and Zion is back in the bubble.
What can you tell us about his return? Well, he was able to practice with the team yesterday after, so that was a little bit a Jerome Janowski and the airport are great to have him back here.
Jury grass videos before suspension.
I got to shoot. Got to show you guys bunch of them.
But he got his kind of talked about some several guys that got her, like Anthony Davis, some star players and Ah, yeah, he kind of just talked about it.
Whoa, He There is some reckon news, guys, I'm Schefter of, of ESPN NFL that Tampa Bay Buccaneers are signed running back.
Let's Shawn McCoy, because all of the second shot and you will get to play with Tom Brady.
I mean, LaShawn McCoy might not be the same guys before what that is that is going to be interesting because Penhall kind of Chamakh all you get.
That could be That could be a really sneaky move.
I know Christiane Von has been he was a passing catching back.
He hasn't been playing his in practicing, and then ah, Ronald Jones is more of a running back that runs the ball.
So maybe because Brady loves to throw the check down.
Obviously loved James White.
Obviously have loved a lot of the running backs he used in the passing game.
And not even the conduct on McCoy, who gets a chance to play with arguably the greatest quarterback of all time and gets a chance to show it.
Um, with him being will catch the ball, run the ball and just get the chance to ah, get a chance to play low voice.
So Lasama Coy is going to be going to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Yeah, great booth, that works out.
Okay, so I've talked about the NFL, talked about the MBA, more stuff in the n b A and headlines, um, tipping over to Major League Baseball now, Major League Baseball, Like I said last week on returning Sports, was opening dice or one week through the MLB season.
Um, obviously, there's a lot of good things to see from the season.
Obviously, there's a lot of unfortunate things that we're seeing this season so far, so I'll talk about one thing that, um I think is looking good is the M.
Is a bunch of new rules and new format in, and one of the things that the MLB in these past couple of days and games is the actual funeral.
And, yes, trading rule is pretty much not been used ever.
But they're using this year and a starting season as it is anyway, um, and they're basically having starting the 10th inning.
Ah, guy started second base, um, both in the top half and the bottom half.
And the way it's gonna be for the runner is the person that got the last out from the previous.
And it's so for instance, ah, Rafael Devers grounded on the bomb the ninth inning.
He would be the guy start off running and the bond off the 10 thing.
And obviously this rule is interesting because, say, for instance, you got ever guy up like Billy Hamilton and Billy Hamilton gets the last out of like, the night then, and now you go to the Indians and you got a fast guy on bass right away, essentially to retire the game of women game or walking off.
So from an article from this new format keeps what I love most distant from a writer.
But the new estrogen rule that there is no time limit.
Both teams are still playing by the same rules.
But they started Jenny with the runner on second instead of nobody up.
Naturally, this for months creates more action.
Ah, and we want to put all their hopes in a home run to sell the score was I see very, very true of blood and error.
Wild pitch it even plenty of other outcomes to box even be taking up for anything to win a game.
Ah, so we, uh there's also an art.
Know that Samarco said just big game and stuff, and I don't want before we have to go into that.
Um, but we've seen some games so far that, uh, that's Ah, uh, that's what we've kind of been seen as some new new new format in new new rules on its eyes to pay off right now.
Okay, So the biggest news from this week is the Miami Marlins.
Now, Florida, of course, is one of the hot spots with cover 19.
Obviously, the Marlins have the baseball team down Miami, which obviously a hospitable, actually on the higher hot spots for positive cases or cover 19.
So the Marlins and the Phillies play each other.
And, um, there was reportedly couple players from the Marlins who tested positive.
Now the Marlins had *** chain with the Phillies.
Who? The player who they played.
And they asked the Marlins that they wanted to still play Milon ***ist, saying, They're getting the go.
We were playing him on Sunday.
Well, it turned out that was gonna be a great idea because we got the news from Monday morning from Jeff Passan that there is eight players and two coaches and also spreading the Phillies club outs after Morin.
Players are the Phillies game that weekend that there was a Marlins outbreak.
So that being said, with the outbreak and everything like that, a bunch of teams had the reshuffle, their schedule, and they're still kind of doing it as we talk as I talk right now.
So the moans and the Baltimore Oil is we're supposed to play.
Miami is supposedly the home opener.
On Monday, that game got cancelled.
The Yankees were supposed to play the Phillies, the team the Marlins just played in Philadelphia.
The Yankees and the Phillies both had their games cancel in Philadelphia, so as an update as well, passing an update three days ago as well.
So with that being said, there is a total of infected players.
11 of 33 have been trying with the team and also including the two coaches.
So with that, what happened? The Orioles? What's the Orioles, too? Well, the Orioles decided to return Monday night from Miami, as obviously Girls had no part of wanted to play down in Miami, especially the first game that cancel their home opener.
The motto of the Miami are of Miami Marlins and then actually reshuffle over here.
And then the Orioles are back there.
Camden Yard facility.
Two days ago, the latest round of testing Marlins found four new Kobe positive cases and brought up to number of the last five days to 17.
Now for the Phillies, there's some good news.
Before today, UH, no pills were found.
The test pause in the recent use of covert testing, a citizen's bank park member unfortunately visited the clubhouse.
A staff member tested positive for Cover 19.
So this weekend coming up, the nationals were supposed to go down in Miami.
The manager, Davey Martinez, said this week that he's scared he's scared toe pretty much kind of play right now and to go to a hot spot into a place that had a huge outbreak.
He's basically kiss.
Nerve is basically he was nervous and basically he was, You know, he and no part between him and the players there no part.
I'm going to go to down to you Miami to play the Marlins, the Nationals and Marlins this week.
On my understanding, they are not playing each other at all.
Now, um, the national players voted against, and then this was the latest stuff from yesterday.
Early follow from the Koven 19 outbreak.
The borrowings had to shut down there, showing down temporarily, and they're pausing their season right now.
There are at least Sunday that no games playing right now, the Phillies, Siri's or the Orioles has been postponed instead.
Right now, the Yankees airplane Orioles Yesterday, they played last night in their plane tonight for the second consecutive day.
That's from yesterday.
The Phillies covert tests, employers and stop members came back negative.
Besides the moms outbreak, Juan Soto, a star player in the nationals here, a false next false positive because he got tested about five or six times, and it sounded like that he came back negative, but it turned out he had a false positive, which happens here and there.
So two hours today, the Phillies cancel the workouts after a coach in a clubhouse attendant tested positive work over 19 the the Blue Jays and the Phillies.
I have no games now this weekend, according to the Blue Jays manager, um so our todo until further notice.
So you're seeing no Phillies, no Marlins and then obviously coming up this weekend, no Blue Jays baseball.
So there's a lot, a lot of circling with the bunch of things going on.
So before going into my thoughts about the Joe Kelly suspension, I want to show you got dressed passing ESPN baseball Porter a couple videos and kind of talk about what's kind of next for that, uh, the latest for for ah, for the situation in the mornings, I would take a look.
We got to know what's the latest? What have you learned since then? Internally, this is an ever evolving situation in major league baseball right now and there.
So many moving pieces and parts because the outbreak on the Miami Marlins has continued to get worse and last night, Rob Manfred, on MLB Network, talked about how this was not the worst case scenario.
This was not a nightmare.
I don't know what is.
She have an outbreak of this size of this magnitude on a team, and the question becomes, if they are going to continue playing if they are going to go to Baltimore on Wednesday and Thursday, how are they going to feel the representative major league team? Perhaps half of the players on their roster have tested positive for cocaine 19 and will not be available.
That's where they are right now.
The good news out of Philadelphia, of course, was that none of the Phillies players or coaches have tested positive to this point.
But we also know that the incubation period for the Corona virus, according to the CDC, is up to 14 days, so they are clearly not out of harm's way, yet just is impossible that although they rejected a bubble format, I mean, the real idea of the bubble is not only sterile, a sterile environment or more sterile environment in which you can contact trace right, because the primary responsibility is not actually to keep the players healthy, it's to keep everyone else healthy.
That's why we're all social distancing so the most vulnerable among us don't get the disease.
And so, in the absence of vaccination, do identify.
Where does you locate it? And then you isolate it, right? Is it possible that one of the outcomes here is anyone talking about maybe limiting the number of stadiums that are used so that so that some teams like, let's say, was Philadelphia or Miami or New York or wherever it hit? They would stop using that for a while and just use just plain more road games.
So that rather than 15 stadium, you use seven or eight or something like that.
I don't think that's an unreasonable idea, Max.
I think the issue is as we've seen with Cove in 19 hot spots.
Just buckle up random places.
You don't know where the next one's going to be, and the bubble format would have been frankly ideal and would have been the best way to go about this.
And I think there's definitely some hindsight going on inside of Major League baseball right now.
I reported back in April that they were considering looking into the possibility of a bubble and almost immediately upon the story, dropping players were like Nen an M, and we have no desire to go and be away from our families for 5456 months, potentially of the season.
We are not on board.
But it wasn't just players, either.
It was organizations to it was ownership.
The idea of the bubble just simply never gained traction inside of baseball.
And you wonder, looking at the n b A.
Looking at the NHL zero positives whether they're looking at that right now and saying, Boy, this was a missed opportunity for us.
Hey, Jeff, fruit, quick, let me.
I'm sorry, I just want to jump in one more.
So Jeff Passan, 30 ESPN Thanachart with the latest in the Marlins outbreak, and he also talked about how baseball should also could also have the potential chance to play in a bubble.
I think there are also several months ago they were talking about how it could have been in a place like Arizona, who also is currently in hospital right now.
Plus, the temperature is obviously with players there.
It's obviously very hot climate down there.
It's just another thing to his players.
Just didn't want to be away from their families for supper.
Mance full now, as he said, to pass and said, You're seeing several sports who basically about zero positive cases for the last several weeks.
The United Show, the N B a majorly soccer.
So, you know, it just sounds like the bubble has the best chance to work during this time.
And so hopefully the outbreak of the Marlins, obviously, hopefully it starts settled down because, you know, you don't want many of these happening all you want to make sure the testing is through.
There's a van stuff going on and doing my headlines.
The MLB has actually had the chance to have some additional guidelines safety islands for the rest of season, so I'll talk a little about that by the headlines.
Thank you for all Joining me tonight.
I appreciate it.
Yeah, the from inside the dugout.
How are you doing? Hope you're doing well.
It's awesome that you live in Fairfield for some odd reason.
SportsCastr things over in Bridgeport, Connecticut for those, uh, that are joining me, I look in Fairfield, Connecticut, just brisk. You're right.
next door to Bridgeport on, at least for my area left by the eastern kind of side by cigarette heart.
But I'm only right down street from kind of Bridgeport up we're Park Avenue.
So it's awesome, man, that you're there.
Join me from from the same town as me and everybody else That's join me here on SportsCastr tonight.
Obviously appreciate the love and support that I get for all my episodes.
Uh, continuing on for the Major League Baseball? Um, Joe Kelly, the Dodgers and the Ashes are currently playing this weekend games.
Um, many people are wondering, with the Astros cheating that was going on for a while without the fans of Benefit them? Well, there are some, Let's just say, um, some activity that happened doing Joe Kelly and Alex Bregman and Cross Korea Leaver.
Joe Kelly has now been suspended for eight games, so, but that being said, he basically threw behind offspring in the back and hit him on the next batter, Alex Bregman.
He threw a curveball right near him, about 95 96 miles an hour, and then he struck up Correa.
He went back as he was walking to the dugout.
He turned his head back in Korea and he obviously gave him some kind of face.
And then they started to kind of a little bit of a potential broad.
Now, in the state to protocols, you cannot have a brawl.
You can't really kind of talk back and forth that, obviously with covert and everything like that.
So what did kind of broken up a little bit? Obviously, people on for baseball And Joe Kelly has had his past of, um, have throwing throwing up at guys before.
He does tend to get a little wild.
Um, but ah, the fastball that Buzz Bergman and taunting of Carlos Correa, he gets an eight game suspension.
Um, no, my reaction to this is I mean, I love Joe Kelly is a Red Sox fan.
I thought, you know, he obviously has, you know, stuff in their outfield.
But, um, you know, I understand if you got suspended for a couple of games, but this is a ***y game season, remember? And you know, Joe Kelly has had his past throwing out guys.
I I understand that.
So, you know, they're obviously should still be some type of penalty, but eight games sounds a little much from the movie Moby.
Um, so there's obviously a lot of back watch.
Ah, even the goat.
Tom Brady had a response on Instagram from the penalty of Dajun Astros, and he said, So that's a very soft waited Teoh.
Give them a penalty, Let's let them play, and I agree.
And I agreed to the stands of okay, like let them play.
But obviously they should be.
You know, the Roberts has been a one game suspension as well, I think, but it's like Yasser has got nothing.
And what if he asked one of the Astors, At least get something as well between this, even though you know, basically was caused by the Dodgers.
So just interest.
Say what? How that worked out.
And, ah, you know, I think Joe Kelly is appealing the suspensive rate games.
I think the Max could have been three but eight games.
Man, that's that's a lot, a couple of things in baseball.
Before going into my last segment in NHL National Hockey League, we're going to know much to 15 minutes.
Parted to the first game of the embassies in studying news.
Basically baseball in Major League Baseball Players Association.
It has officially agreed the players who steal signs Elektronik Lee can now be suspended without pay or service time.
This was coming.
This these rules were agreed on right out of the use of electron, ICS and video that's been growing in the past of penalties.
This guy knows from Mr Nationals of the Boston Red Sox at the Major League Baseball Players Association and also surveying members and my proposed either to seven inning games for doubleheader or nine innings for the opener and seven for the nightcap.
Um, there potentially potentially putting instant doubleheaders.
Um, but they're going to vote on this from Mona owners and general managers and league some of our decision by Saturday to their change the rules to keep them the way they are now for a single game is obviously still nine in its.
But for a doubleheader, they might have to seven inning games that are obviously still say the same as it is with two to nine in the Games.
Personally, for me, I think to not ending games is fine.
I'm not exactly sure why they want to do to seven innings.
But obviously we're in a new season, new new kind of Tom that we're facing right now.
And obviously they come on to do different types of changes to kind of speed up the game for sure.
All right, so we got through NFL N B A and I'm a major league baseball.
Finish it off begun.
Any show? Uh, so the teams are in their hub cities. They have arrived.
The Eastern offers teams are now in Toronto.
In the Western Conference, teams are in en Minton, so there's the playing around games for the teams.
So with that being said the Blackhawks in Chicago complaining, the Oilers, that was gonna be a West call flying around starting Game one on Saturday.
So regular game start on Saturday, looking forward to it.
Great, great stuff.
Um, the, uh this is for playing rounds.
There's some other teams that kind of currently kind of buying kind of weight in terms if we're gonna play the playing grounds, but they got teams with the Bruins, they're gonna still like play.
They're playing around games, but these games are win or go home for these type thes type of teams, the Panthers and Islanders will be playing each other.
Ah, Game one on Saturday, every games with me on Saturday, so I kind of just go through the matchups.
Canadians in the Penguins, the New York Rangers, The Carolina Pan UH, Carolina Hurricanes.
Sorry, the Jets of Winnipeg.
In the contrary, Flying's, the Columbus Blue Jackets and the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Arizona Coyotes and the Nashville Predators, as well as a while.
It's a wild and the Vancouver Canucks.
So those are all the team.
The playing Siri's round, Um, my Boston.
Barone's have exhibition game tonight, their first exhibition game.
They're all the exhibition game, and that's gonna be tonight on any shell.
What network for anybody interested to watch seven o'clock to be playing against the Columbus Blue Jackets Starting goalie took around soon expected to have some, uh, some ice time tonight.
Nice. They're probably flip it over.
Just arrest him before Sunday's start game against the Philadelphia Flyers.
So the science show you might.
You might think about some questions for these players going the hub cities.
So there's seven questions that I saw from Marco that were kind of looking out.
So first of all, the first question is the bull this work Will the hub cities working right now on it looks like it will work.
Um, you know, they Ah, they have the hub stares down.
They have a lot of the places around.
Bull Pub sees have fences locked up.
I mean, it's really hard to kind of get out of these subsidies.
There's obviously a pathway, I think, to go places and stuff like that.
But, you know, not really much.
And in a way of like, breaking a lot of the quarantine rose, I think they're really, really put into a good, safe environment.
No, that's close.
Second question is, is everyone on even keel? Little town went out for lead.
These teams there question to older or a younger team seven advantage.
You just don't know that the new environment, you just don't know who was a team that could be going and getting hot and stuff like that.
So what to find out which lower tier team will make a run in Canada and it's championship drought in the Blues of ST Louis? Repeat, I hope not.
As a Bruins fan because it still pains me from that last game.
I mean, the Bruins had a great season, but obviously, you were one game short of a Stanley Cup for the Bruins and for the City of Boston Dome in a three p of the senior of the Red Sox winning and then the Patriots win the Super Bowl.
It would been a three peat of Bruins when the standard kapow about that have been pretty surreal.
But I'm very, very grateful, and Hump was a Bruin span that they're great season.
They saw a lot of great season I had, and maybe this year that they might be able to get the chance to get that one game that they wanted to the Stanley Cup.
Yeah, the edge would win the Cup, but let's find out off the state should be a really, really fun, um, playoff format.
Okay, you know, broadcasters are also this from The Tampa Bay Times are offering a fan different viewing experience in the playoffs.
One would be clean but cold.
Look to arenas we see covers.
I know the baseball's using the car park cutouts.
Dan Charles definitely looked, just got no fan look eso if you're looking at the arenas itself around the arenas that this could just covered up all the seats, that's it's a really cool, interesting view.
Um, nothing to there Have piped fanning sounds and songs, uh, playing crowd noise and stuff.
I think China with players will be on the ice for me.
What kind of hear? Some of this stuff, Uh, streaming experience as well.
I'm going to watch it on life.
But I wanted to watch someone to show you guys.
Ah, this and from Doc M ERK love Doc Emer.
This gave me absolute shells.
So I hope you guys enjoy.
Okay, The guys has already seen that despair with me for the people that haven't seen it.
I hope you really, really enjoy it.
Just that, you see, is on.
Uh, it's a season began like many others.
This'll one on the Mississippi in the shadow of the ST Louis Arch October and the leaves turning in a banner racing ups by project.
The crowd, roaring as the Blue celebrated their first ever Stanley Cup championship on the puck, dropped both the Blues and the Boston Bruins, the team they defeated in seven games for the fabled trophy at Wonderful Starts, Theo Dodge the Trump hangover and were on their way to the league's best record straight games.
Fans were treated to Mad Dashes plays that absolutely sample stopping saves in the way of stars chasing History 100 Red light camera.
Push for the playoffs in full.
Smooth changed a global pandemic.
A shift in importance really need to come together at the nation.
A new set of heroes in uniforms without numbers.
Don't get **** out.
Let's go home and decompress.
Rest of us waited awkwardly, applauding the gallant following instructions.
Brain going through a range of emotions.
Obviously, weakness slam, but we'll get through it.
Nelson States fans.
The sun finally burst through the clouds.
Finalized plans to return to play skates.
Hitting the ice as phase numbers got bigger, for some are no longer full recovery and a return to their teams thing.
This time, some things have changed, not only the time of year, but 24 teams get a shot most ever in history, and they do so in two locations.
Some things haven't changed the medication to win intensity that is always made.
Stanley Cup action, the best in sports and those soon of the base with number.
This will be exciting and different.
One thing won't change for us.
Our commitment again to show you every game on all our platforms from the very first play in Game two, the presentation of this artist trophy.
Oh, we're tired of saying he can't wait Now we won't have to and neither will you See what center? I mean, if that Freddie Freddie hockey fans are score can doesn't get you pumped up, I don't know what does.
Because I saw that video this morning.
I'm like, man, no, awesome.
That was absolutely awesome.
He kind of did it from washers offices.
John knows a broom fan that hurt to say, But that was a great seven cup final.
Congrats, legacy of blues.
But then, like the whole store will just stopped obviously recovering so cover going on.
But then we realized like, you know, sports air started to, you know, come soon.
You know, there's a light by the end of the tunnel and now with them bringing a lot of the games on NBC sports back to us and I mean docked and kind of the best of the best crew burping sports and AKI especially back to the Dr TV WC.
Great to see for sure.
Well, what that being said, that will be it for Turner Sports Episode 12 of your host, Ben Cruise.
That I really enjoyed my ah show tonight before we finish off though, um, let me get into headlines Eso Joe Biden, who is actually running for president and, uh, November, uh, he thinks that will be won't continue this season after the outbreak of the Marlins, and he doesn't think that I was gonna happen.
Um, I think I've already said about this before, but the mask wearing if fans were allowed to go to games, But I'll say it again if, uh if I didn't but masked are required to go to games of fans are allowed in the NFL sjm Some fans some Ah, some teams have fans gonna be allowed if they have fans to a certain amount of capacity.
Some other teams already Ah, uh already aligned with the cannon fans, for sure.
Sean Payton, who was obviously, um, he was a Saints head coach.
He said he wouldn't be surprised if games were affected by Cove It.
He said in court.
I don't anticipate separating quarterbacks or separating position groups on December boning to be smart relative to how their locker and look how I think that the key is, hopefully that they can stay as healthy as possible.
I wouldn't be surprised.
Some games, a forfeit or not forfeited.
Um, suspending games, though there'll be some teams that have players at one position group where they just won't be able to play the game, that's a part of the deal.
I think the league understands that we're playing attention to all the leagues, Payne said.
I think the MBA is done a fantastic job at the MBA and a job has done a fantastic job.
Um, I'm not quite from us familiar with what what's going on baseball.
I think the concerns we all have a football is just the fact that we're not creating a bubble, so we're going to have to be on point with our testing and we, uh and be able to adjust very quickly should play or group of players test positive, The NFL chief medical officer Dr Alan Sills had a conference call today saying the league isn't ready to announce Kobe cussing results you get.
So far, testing is going very well, though.
Corn sills and one problem it there.
So facing the positive test of percent persistent positives and not new cases, Ben Volin also said with the NFL Games, that Marlon step situation occurred in the virus ra***ed a single team.
A league spokesman said the NFL, the NFL players ocean, it are still negotiation that scenario still, so most of the NFL use radical transparency and providing accurate data throughout the season of people.
Just test positive, they saying.
I assume it includes everyone tested positive and not just the planners kind.
General manager Don Robson that vic easily.
It's absences unexcused during the Patriots and now re signed a undirected quarterback.
Brian worked for Michigan State on the bids from the XFL or Dubai today, uh, the U.
According to Jeff Passan, ESPN for Major League Baseball.
These are the new rules of Major league baseball officials are now man today that teams make a number of changes to keep players safe from further outbreaks like the one that in fact, in nearly half the Miami Marlins roster, encouraging players not to leave hotel this bus except to go to games mandating use of surgical mask and said cough mass during travel and record every team to have a compliance officer on the road with them to make sure players in staff are following the rules.
I'm not exactly sure why they didn't have these in place before the start of the season, but they now have them ready and really making sure that they make they take this seriously, especially after an outbreak, are ready to start off the season, making sure they limit as much as possible that to happen again, the N C A A will allow college athletes from all sports towards social justice payments on their uniforms.
Anthony Davis says the plan is from to play tonight.
I think he from what I've heard, I think he's going to play.
He's gonna get a re evaluated.
You got real valued from doctors last night.
Plans to take the court for the game tonight.
The Alabama and USC college football game.
Those goes over.
September Fit 18 T State and Dallas has now been canceled.
I also talked about earlier.
That was Sean McCoy has signed one year deal with temporal Buccaneers.
Um and Ah, yeah, I just I think a bunch of the latest stuff, huh? God, I feeding through through tonight.
So what that being said, I liked you.
And unfortunately, former bags that Coach and Jack's second, Tom Coughlin, was hospitalized after a biking accident.
Wish Tom, uh, which she's OK.
Wishing the best of luck.
Tip off for MBA has officially begun.
So we're officially back and sports.
We really are starting to get officially docking in the swing of things, as I mentioned tonight off for sure that will be it from headlines in Return Sports Episode 12 I'm your host, Ben Cruz, and that will be it for the whole entire show tonight.
Like I said, I usually don't do my shows this early, but I wanted to check in with a bunch of the G eight games are going on, and I want to make sure that I was focusing to do this without the destruction of watching it during it and, uh, get make sure to get all the news I can get into the first games tonight um and ah, looking forward to next week, Another packed show.
Um, now, in two weeks, I'm gonna be going actually on vacation.
I'll be down a kid.
I'll be kid cod.
Um, my plan, I think, is to still do the show from, uh, keep God in my Airbnb house.
I mean, be staying in for a week from August.
