getting even once again walk up to the job.
Ah, sports talk would carry my football preview show.
We are going to preview prep football here in the state of Louisiana.
Um, tonight previews will be the young, the all ins area in the north, less Louisiana area, which is street port.
So we will be doing that for you tonight.
So he on SportsCastr once again.
Thanks for joining us.
And also YouTube as well.
So, once again, thanks for joining us.
We will put the video chat, Um um in the, um, chat area so we will set you up.
So if you want to come and talk prep football tonight with teen you're representing you can, uh, come in and you could talk about football football.
Only tonight's and no other business broke football.
Lee they were talking about so once again will begin tonight show.
Um, thanks for joining us here, Ware on lot right now.
So we're gonna begin a preferable coverage.
That's some bullets up here.
Let's get this on the screen.
OK? We'll preview that the wallets area prep football preview.
So we are using go prep stock combo preps dot com is the website.
It just came out talking about prep sports here in the state of Louisiana.
So we'll begin with the New Orleans area.
So let's some dive into it right now.
Let's talk about the Catholic League and the Normal Raiders 2019 champions.
Their biggest challenges are going to be John Curtis.
I think so. Absolutely.
Because John Curtis, um, welcome in, um, looking to get revenge against anybody and anybody that does get in that way, try the get it on championships.
So I think they're gonna be absolutely on fire this year.
Were on their team.
So I say this, um, anything can happen in this opera football season.
Some with these guys. The defense.
Um, it's one reason, um, they are so fantastic with their experience.
Coach Monica was there.
It's that Coach Frank Monica used to coach at, um ST Charles Catholic up on the river power fists.
So I think they're gonna be good this year.
I think, to be honest, which it on five, a Catholic Lee most likely going to be on the epitome of the A bomb of the district's.
So I think it's gonna be a pretty good year for the some.
Okay, um, seven of those 11 kids are previous stars, so there's gonna be some, um, returns on a team.
So I think that's going to help their that cause this year for rumble.
Um, because rubble last year they played against John Curtis and the young Division one championship.
I'll be honest with you.
They just absolutely played their hearts out.
But, um, in the end, um, Well, um, get when their championship.
So the biggest challenge will be, um, John Curtis patriots this year, John cars won't be like I said, Don't come in.
Um, what a pretty good schedule and stuff like that.
Um so Tigers is while the Holy Cross Tigers will most likely be another team in the Catholic League that most likely be another contender.
Um, every year I coach Nick Salt Ma Geo, um, coaching on with Holy Cross.
Now, I'll be honest with you.
The 958 Catholic League is going to be the absolute, um, topless district in the state of Louisiana.
So that's what we're discussing tonight.
You wanna talk about football with who we should teen, which what is your um what if your, um um what is your prospects for, um, your team in 2020 and football? So once again, we are live tonight.
So wiggles or Samata teams.
And just for a five day John our it's going to be the also the perennial.
Um, District 58 defending champion.
The biggest challenge is shall met here in ST Bernard Parish.
I'll be honest with you.
I think it's gonna come down to the last couple of weekends with bomb.
Uh, Shell Mattan, John, our tenant for the young district five.
A championship shaman Had a good year last year, finishing 83 on the season.
I also toward to in the districts, so I think they're gonna be some.
I brought some race in District 858 this year for, um, John era and also the shaman out.
So that's going to be the two contenders for the young, but a district this year in district 858 So that's your own breakdown right there.
So we're going to be breaking down beyond the whole New Orleans area.
Well, we talked about that, so thanks.
Uh, Jet made 45.
If you have Ah, prep team.
You can come in and talk about your property.
Witness your what is your expectations for your for your team.
So? So the next one we're gonna break down is core Cougars attempt for a That's another team that most likely will be a contender in the 10.
It's ah, car Cougars.
Also, the biggest challenges is Landry Walker, charge of bucks.
That's one of the genes that's gonna be a challenger in, um, and now for a football.
And there was in 581 Thailand Walker.
But unfortunately, that's going to be the now there are five.
58 So eso I just said land you walk of most likely will be the biggest challenge going into the 2020 season about prep football.
Um, this is a young man.
We're gonna play a video for Mom Todd Tagi yo, from at the car.
So let's play him.
01 2nd Making this spring back on.
Talk about a bad friend.
How anxious for you to get to smooth over.
What do you anxious to see there? Just fill it out? You know, I never seen the courts, that person.
So just see everybody in prison along with so much still get for insurrections.
I haven't been able to eat, to be honest, which I think this young man Hill, I think he's gonna be a good fit some tackle with, um uh, core because car car every year always have some best teams they bring to the dome and stuff like that.
So I'm gonna tell you right now, that's gonna be the biggest obstacle for anybody and gets for 10 full rate.
So that's what I'm talking about tonight.
Football your any.
If you want to talk about football, you can bury Beyonce SportsCastr and YouTube chat rooms weigh are talking football.
If you want to talk football, you've never really got the have given being like that big time or how much you looking forward to it.
And what do you looking for? This kind of slow may not just be the summer filet everybody out, so it's kind of slow to get out.
What have you liked talking to Coach O Coach Johnson? You know any any of the LSE coaches, Nikki Joseph, you know, be a Stipe zoom and talking through Price and Mom and Dad What? One of those conversations.
But they always city they not taken.
If I answer, you want to come.
I feel like they want me to be a better player.
Even if I don't come every time it's out.
You want to know what's my favorite move? How can I better myself? You know, I always wanted to be the best.
You should know your favorite movie.
Everyone knows you're here.
Yeah. Last thing for me at least.
Like we see how how much you're getting better every time we see you in one on one, right? You guys were going trying to have another season trying to go back to know What are you doing as you kind of prepare for your junior year? What do you looking to build my pastor? Us.
That's why Buddha camps like you.
Just building my passions.
I feel like I just leave my running, but I want to give him or as well.
Yeah, someone Sam was like you in.
And Fitzgerald were out there embarrassing people's kids and then on the side, like passing notes back and forth about yeah, moves.
Yeah, because he always wants to know My spending is more of a feat Rush.
I mean, feet moved in his hands.
Just want to build up a set him up, super go back inside.
Uh, that's pretty much the answer when they start asking about your favorite movie.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
When you talked about having a chance to watch a lot of football watch a lot of film would have been some of things that you really keyed in on a nudist watching of that that you started, Uh, my favorite de Lima camera Joe trying to work on his stance and get off.
He's just very is going to get off line.
So that's something I've been trying mirroring workings of my game.
I mean, here in New Orleans Got a pretty good name.
Um, for you, Sam.
Ask you a little bit about it with the whole ready Teoh kind of e be the big guide beam or of ah, probably more of a leader for cars will be the more of the guy in that spotlight.
Everything trail what? As you kind of prepare for junior season, what does that look like? Intensive your role on the team and taking on a bigger role.
I feel like I have 100 team have been studied since I was a freshman, so everybody keep on the field and off the field.
So I feel like leadership.
It's more better leadership.
Show somebody how to do it and tell him So I've just been trying.
I didn't touch the guy. Things started.
Agree even over the Corona.
Checking up on a minute.
Sure going well, So just build about off Field Canada bythe.
How much does that become? A legacy past year to year, a car with all the success that that program has every single year? How much of that is just kind of a passionate calling to keep things going.
It's always that's a lot program is the leadership brotherhood.
So you want to lead a little younger brothers of you where you are.
Maybe they're coming out of chase What you have.
I know some guys that came the car, just It's so glorious over me has tell him like it's over coming every day.
Uh, be a better version itself.
Every day in your being way had a chance to see you in a lot of other guys.
There were already playing big roles last year.
Who were some of the other younger guys that that people don't know about as much that you think are starting to kind of fill in.
Those gaps from younger guys like Jamie Vastly have been Leonard leaving Dylan Smith, Joe Young guys like Ryan, Ryan, Mike, 80 matter of 1/4 based ***ani a J.
That's the big thing.
So please, I call it a day.
That's the big thing.
It's a movie Lyman born tail out for like it's gonna have a break out season.
He tells us in my great, he's gonna have a preseason.
I think it will.
I think the Beyonce, which I think they will have a great season, our car because car every year. Absolutely.
Last year they played in the Superdome, they had Sabata 35 34 game.
They did win that championship in the in the Superdome.
So I'll be honest, which I think they're gonna be absolutely back with a vengeance this year with a bomb, Uh or, um, core.
Now that quarterback Lenin Kelly is going to be one of their key factors and, um, in those games when they play.
So that's the, um, NASA's scenario.
Packer land walkers there.
Only 10 can, um, sent for a opponent.
So they're gonna be some, um um, change that.
They're gonna be absolutely look into not car down.
So that's one of the reasons why call is going to be dowery vigilant going into the 2020 football season.
So, uh, let's go over to the next prop preview.
Let's give you, um uh, low down on Warren Easton warning Eastern District 11 forays off their beyond higher up district's of their Anoma levin for a coach.
Erik develops, um, has changed.
So there they fell two point Converse and against car last year for a championship game.
That was a better taste in their mouth to swallow.
So that's something right there.
War niece is gonna happen, um, live with for until the football season began.
So I think Warren decent this year.
Uh, if they can get on pass, um, their opponents, the biggest opponent right now is gonna be called in the matchup.
So I think they're gonna be some situations that they're gonna most likely find yourself in uh, when they play, um Carplay the Eagles in 2018 It was 22 18 games.
So it's a two point victory for them, but they're gonna be some, um, so I look at this one.
Let's play this video from, um, show Shoni on ish shown show on show in Washington.
I he said, Got defensive lineman was playing his own interview with the um it's a good opportunity for everybody.
Would have been some of things that you tried to do.
I know a lot of you guys have tried to find other ways.
Teoh kind of get some work in, especially after we found out we were gonna have spring.
And it was like that.
What is your kind of routine Looked like before you guys get back? Well, I started.
I started working on that list like teaching food started really practiced.
So they got me right? So, for you were just talking about the recruiting stuff you had obviously, the really exciting Ellis you offer in March.
And by now you have half or more of the FCC is notable in other schools in the Big 10 and really, it's opened up nationwide.
Have on his office for you, you can.
You've been waiting for this coming season for almost two years now, after having to sit out of the salt more, which is kind of in your mind, as we so much still remains up in the air in terms of this fall, it looks like you just try to get ready for that next season, despite everything that's going on with one of your your emotions are mindset with with a phone game, a za guy that has had some of that college love come before you had a chance to Really.
I mean, you played high school ball made an impact, but you haven't really hit your stealing yet.
Obviously, for a guy that's already had some attention from and know what's still ahead of you on the field on Fridays, what does that mean for you to have that attention, have those opportunities and know that you still have a lot of work ahead? What opportunities through those coaches riot approved more coaches what you can do and stuff like that? It means a lot, because when I was off, really, it was like a setback.
Me because ours so I've got my hair back.
Street and work ever since would have been some kind of some key areas on this summer's Try to continue Teoh Teoh.
Perfect some techniques and really build upon your game would have been some areas that have been top of mind getting stronger.
Give my technique because, you know, my freshman year I was really just a little Russian as much as we saw from you with a freshman.
How much better you are? You expecting people to see from you now? But I'm still, you know, get you set up right? Technique pass rush mood, because I'm British is started for you guys. Team wise.
I was talking to Casey a couple weeks ago and asked him some of like what Coach Phillips had said after the last year and talking about that mentality of Look.
Eastern had a great season this past year, but ultimately it's not wanted.
They want to be in that last game.
How much do you guys talk about? Sort of that.
That level of expectations and those type of goals as you started to get together a little bit more this summer on Look at the Ball What of those goals look like with go over way? Really? You want that ring on my finger championship way? Focus on Echo.
But right now, we as a team working better.
Some big guys from last year's team like Oregon shot er gone.
Who's gonna be in your classes back? I o What do you expect this year's evils look like? What do you think? You think that the big potential there is? Always? Obviously.
You will do the same thing you come out as a team.
Do you got a little extra? I think, to be honest with you right now, I think war niece is going to be that perennial team and district 11 for Ray.
They're gonna deck on the beach, do some damage.
I absolutely think that you're alive and damage this year.
Um, um and their football team.
So, um, once again, we're broke down young, um, warranties and eagles now will break down District 10 3 a.
Well, we're going to district 10 38 now.
The Ron Eagles of, um, John McDonogh, 35 under a new coach.
Frank gags younger.
I I's gonna be the new head coach after losing their Cho Chung race.
Teoh Corona virus. That's unfortunate.
But, um um, coach tags Will, um right this right leaders are, um, team back toe fruition in 2020 so that some biggest, um, situation that they're gonna be doing with that Jean, Um, um, John McDonough outscored Ford league opponents, but by score 1 63 to 39 that's just an excellent ****ysis.
They also, um, managed to stay within 25 points.
So that was I guess so, Phoebe.
So that sometime a be honest, which that team right there most likely going to be back on the map.
Um, for this year, they have a reliable offensive line down with the defense.
Also, Um, um, so that's probably going to be the keys this year, is there? Um, um, office of line.
And also they defects are getting off the field 1/3 down, stuff like that.
So that's that's the on typical part of it, right there for, uh, John McDonogh 35.
Um, if they're going to contend for district title, um, district 10 38 So that's that's the keys right there.
So we're gonna play coach tags? Uh, that was from Jared.
Um, Rouser is on its whip on go preps dot com.
Let's go ahead and play this some video.
Give you a preview.
Never saw all y'all working with go preps.
Gent Rosa here today with Rose.
I've done a 35 coach Frank Dags Jr.
Who it's been It's such a weird and difficult year for everybody and obviously, for you guys.
Ah, a huge piece of this off season is we lose Coach Wayne Reese, just a New Orleans and Louisiana football legend.
And so that was as as we got into the off season.
That was one of the the first pieces, um, that that you all had to deal with.
And I certainly want to talk a lot about Coach Reese, but just I haven't seen you in a while, man.
How have you been doing overall? How they're on Eagle's been do it.
It's good to see you, Samuel man.
Nice. Nice family have been Bill.
Nice to see if their face, man, we've been all right.
You know, we've been we want into the football deal in very poor coast.
No talk is like I have a six straight, which are zoom goes, Oh, not so I've been talking to him and now probably get asked through machine.
Oh, uh, some do you get seasonal that you could do it, you know, so have to have everybody be is distance as they were.
It's been interesting to hear a lot of guys that had managed to kind of stay active and stay in shape and do that.
That wasn't the case for everybody.
And then for you guys also toe have all those kids have toe deal with losing Coach Reese that had been there for them day in, day out through a lot, A lot of them before the time they even ever touched the football field.
What has it been like to just kind of get everybody back together, be able to kind of see them and be close to them and kind of see where they're at, both physically as well as just kind of how they've been handling everything that's that's been on that please the last couple months? Well, it, But you know it then, Chuck.
The last couple months mentioned on everybody because when you think about coach, you think about anything about course least being a 12 15 hours a day, you know, and doing everything around them moves to the kids, came back of really working out with their personal trainers are as friends or whatever.
None of coaches was able to see him.
And it was funny when we finally got a chance to Sham on Monday, Monday morning, walking in, someone gained £20.
Some lost to get up and down our physical appearance.
But all it was good for mental.
What a mental port? Because everybody felt like his back again.
Let me back again.
You know, uh, with conversation about getting back, you know, getting back to don't try to get back to the door for him or you're back in the playoffs.
You know, you have one point showing to Jenny's, but, you know, don every mind coming back got to do it for coach.
No, that's how you wanted.
You mean you'd been there at the school with him almost from the beginning of his long tenure over They, um, his right hand man for all these years.
What? What does it mean to you toe kind of succeed him And how much do you look on a day to day basis at at some of those moments that you guys have to be years, Some of the lessons from him and his impact on the program and on you and how to carry that forward? Well, you know, every day I walk in the office for the last two weeks.
No, I guess, right, You know, So and I said, look at the desk number like that.
No, uh, got a door.
We gotta make make a happy, You know, I think about everybody help along the way the last 16 17 years.
And I said, I get it.
I think that, you know, overall is came good with my frame is also at plus what we know with your, you know, they will do a lot of the same stuff that we did in the last 15 17 years together offensively, deeper and no, it.
So we're gonna just executed.
Do we have to do? You can't change that.
Then you start period time.
You you guys bring back.
Since key pieces from last year, you got two of our top ranks linebackers in the state.
A good group coming back there and some key piece on defense.
You got the quarterback back and some notable guys.
What is kind of the, I guess the outlook for you guys and some of the areas that that you feel really good about in some of the areas that you know, we're gonna be kind of focal points or X factors turning points for this team as we start to build toward the fall.
Well, no, Always a lot about our change here. Gonna be often.
So we were trying to to the Allstate guy in Joey Jackson and likes everybody to do so he came back here with the first ones back and ready.
Are you ready to go? Uh, that was a good thing.
Also defensively way have Terry Jones, Jade Anderson game and others.
That's three year of the product.
When the top guys stay.
If conditions, you know, we have people different back, they're coming back.
So everybody should be good in those parts.
You know, the receiver is gonna be new quarterback of the new starter, but you being the program for five years so he knows what you're doing will not to do so.
Hopefully we'll goes forward.
They could take us all offense of the quarterback and receivers because it is up to us running.
We run that thing every guy and get your life.
The whole line would not have.
Ah, problem would get.
I was just say you mentioned some new faces at receiver and some other spots filling in some of those those gaps around the more established guys who were some of the names that we don't know yet that you think of kind of have been working behind the scenes a little bit more and you think you are due for maybe a an opportunity to break out and really make a big impact.
Well, first, I think doing the running back slash slot receiver guys, you have bring it.
He came back looking okay.
My hair is another.
He played backup quarterback also, but ever see even better stressed field, catch the ball and go of Raymond form another running back.
Yet he played behind Stephen Williams last year.
Get some trash towns.
They, uh, elsewhere shot Bester that quarterback nesting while saying we've been in the program for almost five years since eighth grade.
I think seven degree so he should be all right, you know, and everybody should be poised and ready to go defensively, I think.
I see a couple of new guys to step in, but primarily everybody's coming back.
Walter Rybar defense.
If he had a good year last year, anchor the deal. Eyelashes.
So he's coming back with Travis Childers people.
David. Others had linebackers.
Your Myer Henderson outside linebacker, slash e.
Those guys shouldn't good in the later rock n roll.
I think we're all excited to just have some football again at some point.
And you guys, you guys have, ah, a lot of a lot of key pieces back and a lot of motivation.
Um, there and and carrying coach Coach Reese with you guys with what kind of admission to get back to the dome.
Um, how did things set up for you all? I mean, going into the year you mentioned, um, last year you guys were close with with Jennings, and you were right there in the mix of some of those key teams that really had a chance to compete at that.
Not just citywide, but statewide level.
It sounds like you guys are poised to be in that mix again.
When, whenever we get back to it, well, if we able to get back to it, I think we have some of the key piecing in everybody like Lord ready to go at a time.
Should I get the kids back into having a sprain, not lifting a waste? Since I think most urgent and not having spring takes, it takes a toll on your body.
So we gotta get ready.
Get acclimated to show the past talent that up for that.
They get a little Hitmen are built, and I think we'll be all right, you know.
He's Coach Frank Decks, Jr.
Leading the reigning division 10 3 a champion McDonogh 35 Ron Eagles Aziz.
We get through this weird, weird offseason and get back toe all hope, hopefully as soon as possible, Coach.
I certainly appreciate you, man.
I'm gonna be honest with you.
I think I think the Ryan Eagles about John Dunn is gonna be better this year.
Which it he's gonna He's going to get that offense going.
He's got some starters coming back.
He absolutely has.
Story is coming back, um, for his team, so I won't put it the best for them.
I mean, once again, we are breaking down football here in the on state of Louisiana.
If you're, um, if you want to comment about your team, you could comment about your team here on the SportsCastr and also the, um, YouTube chat room.
We are live tonight.
Here, on on both of them.
You want to talk on pro football, you know, walking to come in and talk football.
So we will on, uh, go over next breakdown.
Which is, um, Gallas Al Della Salads and 11 3 A.
They are the defending champions.
Their biggest challenger is going to be candid discovery.
That's a school in the Kenner.
Um, so I look at it this way, Della sell most likely is going to be that, um um, defending champion.
And they're gonna be defend that championship.
So I look at it this way.
They're gonna be and their schedule is gonna be absolutely tough.
We didn't see that.
We don't see that schedule, but when I'm reading right here when I'm looking at right here on the screen.
They're gonna be Looks like they're gonna be loaded this year.
So let's some we're talking about de LaSalle.
Also in 11 2 way, um, thesis A Charles comments.
That's another team.
And its eleventy way is going to be a juggernaut.
Also, the biggest challenge is gonna be Newman Newman's absolutely going to be a black to them in the young in the district soul along with Riverside as well.
So that's a comic strip is for over 2019 in games decided by three point of less.
So that's what they did last year and their football season.
Um, so, yes, schedule is gonna be really tough.
Monica, um, the coach A bomb? Um, San Charles Catholic.
Um, uh, yeah, LaSalle is going to be the the determining factor.
So that's what um, we're talking about here offensively.
It's a five man rotation offensive line.
So that's going to be the keys this year for, um uh, gallus al.
So I think that's going to be the key going into, um uh, also Newman.
Um I mean, while figuring one of Louisiana's most exciting offenses, so what watchman in the easy south Or, um, the nephew a bomb tickets on Peyton Manning.
Or so I look at it this way.
They're going to be some.
There gonna be some trials and tribulations with Newman and stuff like that.
But I'll be honest with you.
I think they're gonna go through those trials and tribulations on, um and get through it.
Well, um, so I will play No since Stuart.
Easy. I coach a bomb.
Um, Newman High School will go ahead, and I'll play that for year.
So we'll play that interview up with, um, Nelson Stewart, Louise Universal, y'all and go preps Jet Rosa here today with Newman, football coach Nelson Stewart and coach we're just talking about It's been an offseason unlike any other than anyone has experienced.
It's good to see you.
How have you been doing? It's great to see you, man.
Uh, we're hanging in there.
I think like you said, it's everything is in new normal.
I think for us every day brings a different obstacle.
I think in this it's a kind of a never ending rabbit hole, but we're trying to navigate through it.
You know, Newman's a great institution were really working hard to make sure we socially distance.
We sanitize, you know, we really do things the right way.
I think that this one's definitely Mold 18 or quarterback used to say It's always a marathon, not a sprint.
This is a marathon, so you know where you're getting in there.
You know you're dealing with kids masking up inside, dealing with hydration, and it's a whole new world.
But, you know, we've got a great support staff of numenor headmasters really put a lot of faith in us that we've got a lot of success.
We had our 1st 2 weeks of going all the way through, getting all our athletes throughout the day.
They're definitely challenges, but I think you just have to take it slow.
I've used a networker coaches throughout the state to try and figure out what is the new normal in strength and conditioning.
And you know, it's been good, I think, definitely not typically where we are heading into that July 4th week.
But it's a start and you know, this season I think you just take each day for each day, so that's kind of been our models you working with? I mean, with with some of the distance up to the point where we could finally start getting some groups back together.
But a lot of guys found ways to get some work in and stay active.
A lot of guys didn't necessarily keep up a swell with it.
Some guys kind of managed it well mentally.
Some guys probably got a little stir crazy.
How did you feel about just seeing your group start to get back together and get into some or normal seeing kind of where they were coming out of the Hopefully what has been the brunt of of Well, I think it's been great.
I think, you know, just as you alluded to our student athletes were all over the map.
We had some that were more quarantining office.
I think that we're in situations where it could get out more, move around more.
We're able to put out high performance workouts that they could get on every day and doing their own.
You know, we had to re look at that body weight stuff course stuff.
Not everyone has. Wait.
So you know, we did zoom.
I got to learn a lot about that.
I think that a zoomed arch manning more and I felt like I talked to him more than my wife.
Sometimes the pain done it to keep up, but we did use it as a lot of team building.
We worked on that.
But there's nothing else like getting the kids in there.
And even with masks and running through, you know those 10 groups today just seeing their faces, seeing them on campus has been wonderful.
And it makes you appreciate the little things you know, you your little dynamic warmups in your warm, you know, form running and just seeing how families were doing and siblings were doing so.
It's been amazing.
And like I said, I would stay there until midnight.
Uh, like you do it every day.
So it's been great participations been great, most of our kids back, just for our school, in our coaches getting giving those kids some sense of normalcy.
That's really why we're running what it's all about.
So they did look good overall, I will sap, but like her kids came back in better shape, strong, bigger than we thought.
Me actually able to kind of push him a little further, especially from a conditioning front.
Then we thought we would.
So it's been a nice surprise so far.
You mentioned Arch, and I definitely want toe get to asking you about him and some of the other specific playmakers.
But as far as just coming off of last year, where you guys have another really successful year overall, have a couple Heartbreakers that don't go your way, and that's gonna follow the season ended two and just drop in drop in a really close when they're in the playoffs.
Would have been some of the, I guess, the early conversations about just overall mindset and goals and what to take from maybe that experience for some of those guys.
But what kind of put behind them and start building toward this 2020 year? Well, I think you know it was you alluded to, you know, bidding being as long as I have.
You know, when you get close, I think that you could feel like we're getting closer.
I think that's a big thing.
You know, the quarterfinals and semifinals.
There's kind of a sense of normalcy for that.
That's a environment we've grown accustomed to.
I think, you know, start off last season, I think we lost a great football team.
Neil Weiners, a good friend of mine, a great football coach.
I came down to the end.
I didn't think we played our best, but I think they played.
There's and I think you have to give credit.
They played great team defense, Iran, the football Well, they took shots when they needed to and you know, we had a play where we could have one in the end of the Strip, but it didn't go our way.
But in those games like that, it comes down inches.
So I think for us it's been, you know, what will you do for those three points? What can you do? It's attention to detail the little things and it was hard and it was a really hard.
And with so many players coming back, I think that when you look at it, it's very different where there's a lot of excitement.
The kids were ready to get right back in the weight room right away.
While we were obviously sad for our seniors by the most we've had coming back on both sides and all aspects, especially the skill position, so I think very motivated.
We brought a lot physically, definitely not a lot of doom and gloom.
I think for us to the ultimate goal is it is reverie program as a state championship.
If you're in the states of my Finals Reporter finals each of the past six years, on top of my head, I think we're getting close and getting stronger.
Better up front, you know, not just in the weight room, but from a conditioning standpoint.
From an agility standpoint, our attention to detail.
And, uh, I think we're excited, like to think, you know, one of the better teams.
I hope in Division three.
Obviously, there's some phenomenal teams up there, but we're just going to get back on the football man.
Sure, you this is certainly motivated.
I've seen a group of kids since I've been living.
Yeah, you guys did have some really talented seniors that that were great players for you, all that graduate.
But you mentioned there's a lot of a lot of really good players back, and Arch is probably coming off being as high profile of a freshman football player Aziz.
And he's got some guys to throw it around, too.
Um, who are, I guess kind of getting in the some of those weapons that he has And who Some of the players both standouts that that we saw that that, you know, we're gonna be there and be able to be relied upon as well as maybe some names that you think have an opportunity toe catch more attention than they head to this point that have kind of been there.
And But this is gonna be their opportunity to really take a step forward.
Well, I think first, yesterday we did lose our career leading receiver in German.
Subtle, and he left us with every record, never category.
He's going to play for mild head coach Buddy Teevens at Dartmouth.
And as I told him, this is the biggest Hey back.
I can get highly oven.
He's phenomenal, you know? And I can't overstate how much of a loss he was.
He was our leader.
He was our everything.
I think he had everything to do with all the success that you saw the start of the music.
Huge reason for that terms of what we have.
We have a fair amount that were excited about both of our slots or back in both seniors.
John Sharpen a our second leading receiver, Pike.
Fill a bear, uh, who also played at the slot.
Really? Dual returners both get grass.
Well, both were able to sit down and catch everything.
It, uh, you know, we're able to throw them.
They run a lot of crosses and sits there on the scene as well.
Ah, super smart.
Are wide receiver coach Will Walters really coach those guys up where they just have so much experience And we're able to really get creative in terms of how we spread the field with both of those guys while we lost both for outside players? We are excited about what we have there, you know, starting off name.
A lot of people may know so far A J.
Johnson who's come in.
He was ineligible last year, came to us.
You know, it's freshman after his freshman year Senate.
Last year, when he got to us, I think he was about 6162 £160.
He's 190 cloud pounds the first time I've ever had a kid that's never taken a snap.
He already has a few power five offers.
You know, University of Georgia, Alabama.
What? Not what he does well is He can knock the top off, covered.
She's an excellent leaper.
He's got a great body control, uses his hands well.
He's a violent blocker, is a really good route runner.
I think that how he comes out of his brakes.
You know, sometimes it wasn't here on scout team and have a kid like that, so he really showed us.
I think a lot about that.
You know that explosiveness, that leaping ability just kind of could do everything, move them around.
And, boy, he's gotten a lot of chemistry going with Arch in the off season.
You know, we're obviously very excited to have him, which can't do with one side.
We have McCaw Donaldson coming in on the outside.
How I was, uh, he was announced last year's a fresh would be a sop****re.
Really tall, big target, because about 646 4.
5 185 £190 really goes up and gets it plays physical.
That's what we want to do with our wide receivers.
That can really set the edge.
So hopefully we're in a situation where two players that can really balance the field, that's important.
And another guy that kind of comes in.
And Chris Horner, who's gonna be junior? Exactly. The backup quarterback.
Very athletic, super twitchy, easy growing a lot.
He's like six foot.
I think for us we can use him kind of all over the place.
And we have a second team all state time.
That was only a press from last year.
Will Randall Will was 63 Hurts you.
Theistic Street, 222 £125.
Moves really well.
Ah, violent blocker, he said.
Work the middle of the field.
Ah, and then obviously are running back.
Joseph Pleasant returning.
He comes back as well.
Almost 1000 yards last year.
Break between the tackles.
Really good inside zone.
Power runner bounces things Well, he comes back to senior and no, those are just some of them.
They're more that's on top of my head.
So, you know, we're excited.
Uh, and I think why you hear so much about art, for good reason.
He's got great chemistry with his wide receivers and you know he's been able to work with him.
You know, this offseason developed bad, and, you know, we're all we're excited to get going.
Yeah, there's obviously a lot of reasons to be excited.
What? Or trying way.
We had a chance to see a J kind of early on and seeing problem.
He's a little bit more rolling.
So to hear him continue toe to grow into himself, that's exciting.
And then our guy Sam Spiegelman was telling me a week ago, Watch out for Mukai Tuas as much as we kind of been talking about a J that that that we're gonna be a lot of weapons there for for Arch and for artistic to come from his freshman year now, going into sop****re year what you mentioned, having had a chance to talk with him a ton on Zoom, what do you what's kind of your take away and how his virtual off season has been going so far and some of those communications just kind of the the things that you all are focused on in terms of him continuing to build on that start.
Well, I think that, um, you know, I guess to start with it he's done a lot on his own.
I think Arches really worked hard on his own film study.
He's obviously got a great network and his family, he's used those Resource is to really better himself, you know, have even getting into the before we get to the zoom aspect.
He's grown a lot physically.
I feel like he's been on a two year Grosbard.
It's crazy right now, but you know, he last year is about that six foot 61 more, £165 and then again, right after the pandemic walked in and I just assumed he really is 16.
He's almost unrecognizable.
I think it has everything to do with this work in a weight room and how much he's worked on his own.
So that's where we start physically.
But I also think that what we worked on, we started, we I had to learn about Zoom.
I think the number one thing for me was I was gonna learn how toe get in work with our quarterback.
So what do we do? We literally went through the entire playbook, went through a lot of drill tapes that, you know, I've had archive, not just of ham, but obviously, uh, you know, some NFL players and guys have been great.
Resource is for us in terms of just looking at the cannons and drops and kind of just some reminders going through.
Things went through the playbook again, each and every install, basically doing a virtual install of what spring would have been.
That's where we started, ask questions, work there.
Then we went through every snap of every single game, going back to the scrimmage, and it was able to share my screen, talk to him about things we saw.
I think we both enjoyed it because it was amazing watching, you know, really, our first time together.
And then all of a sudden, the end.
I talked to them, you know, we wrapped up our team, zoom watching the Dunham gain, you know, he actually played really well, and they put you know, he was ableto identify.
Coverage is nowhere.
The pressure was coming.
He was forced to run the ball, and as one of those situations where I got beat up front, we couldn't run.
But I think you know his ability to take it was they're not turn the ball over and actually run it in tow, you know, put us in position.
That kept us in the game.
So he's matured so much.
Men away in, uh, you know, I think on those owns what? It's not just about watching yourself.
It's like, Okay, what's this front looks like? You know what? Who's the mike? Who's that? Might, you know? How's the middle of field? Is it open? Is it closed? House the corner? And so it's just a constant pressure, you know, doing that.
And, you know, I would like to think we have a good rapport together.
I love coaching him.
He just loves football.
That's what he wants to do.
You know, sometimes you wanna zoom and all of a sudden it's Mom would come in the picture and it's dinner.
We gotta have the kind of time it out.
Be smart with it, but on you know, he's a blessing.
I think I use great parents that let him become that that's who he is.
And, um, you know, just trying to keep getting better.
I think that's this thing.
When he works, wherever he goes, it's all about pushing himself getting better.
You know, when you have a freshman season like that of all the individual accolades and you know what, however many they were, I think what's most important is his development.
Even when he was a joke, UH, game a trophy for LFC, a all state I went in and right is the pandemic.
It was still in his locker, not because he didn't care about it, because it's just he's so focused on getting better in a last back.
So what he does.
So I certainly think the best is yet to come.
Ah, and I think that's a credit to his mindset and his goals in our change.
Schools folks obviously know his I mean the family connections with Uncle's Peyton and Eli, and you mentioned kind of looking at some, uh, some professional quarterbacks and little things you can kind of show Hamid is much of that.
Those guys or who were some other quarterbacks that you all kind of rely on.
When you look at some some of those things that he can kind of pick up little bits off.
Well, I think there's a you know, he obviously we have a nice network.
I think that you know everything now with the Internet, you can.
There's so many archive footage of you can go on and hit Clip to Tom Brady and Drew Brees and whatnot and quite on.
So, yeah, I think that we are able to access the footage from Indianapolis and Denver and cut ups and drills.
And, you know, to me, it's not just about running the actual play that they're running, but I think it's more about the drills and you know the little things where your eyes are, you know, whether releases how your play action looks, and that's really some of the things that we do and, thankfully been able incorporate a lot of those drills into, obviously our individual time.
So yeah, he said, some good uncles that we've looked at, But I will say this this is that something that, um it's more about his development.
I think that with him, he's arch and I think that's really important for me, where a lot of people have said it so many times they focus on Manning.
I focus on Arch, and I think that that's allowed for his development.
He is who he is he's been able to work with.
I think a really good quarterback coach you.
I've known for years.
And David Morris? He goes quarterback, country, and it's funny.
You hear so many times where I think coaches may worry about outside instructors.
What not, unfortunately, been aligned with David.
You know, he's worked with him since he was little.
He worked with Martin Butcher.
So there's really been a nice network of guys that have helped him, and I look at it like a gold, like a corporal, say, a golf swing, that swing coach, and that's really helped him out.
I think this is development, and obviously I think his grandfather and everyone, I think everyone's been a resource.
But nobody's supposed to be anything, and, you know, if you ease his own entity, I think it's a great athlete.
He runs well, He sees the field well, so you know, just kind of a little of everything.
And I just try and give him a much as he can process, our offense will grow as he grows a little everything, but yeah, obviously I've been blessed to get a lot of It's just along the way.
So first in good old teammates, no doubt we, um we still are so uncertain in so many ways of exactly what the fall is gonna look like.
But for you guys, as you look at theoretically, what the schedule could look like and certainly the district with ST Charles.
And, um, what's kind of the outlook there on on just what's awaiting you if we can If we can get to that point Schooley, Yeah, I think that, you know, it is exactly that what is awaiting.
So I think the first thing you do, you have to be ready for anything. It's one of those things.
I went through Katrina where, you know, it's almost like, Hey, you have to be ready to start it any time ended any time, start back.
So that's where that attention to detail really comes in, just maximizing each day.
And that really is a mindset for us.
So you know, anything that is we go to, you know it's looking in the future, but we have a lot of hopes.
I think for us just looking at the schedule.
Um, you know, we've had the same group really start up past two years, starting with lesser.
You know, Jay has done a great job of really getting some excitement around there, that redoing their facility, that really excited.
That's a great uptown opening for us.
Then you have bondable in East Jefferson to five day schools from a district and Jefferson Paris that really are good physically affront, their athletic rush from a powerful destructive.
They work and honestly breath bona ponds.
And Frank, I'll two of my closest friends that I think that really helps us is we prepare and get going.
Almost were district.
We've got Country Day.
That's really become a fun, you know, little rising we feel.
But rivaling that, you know, parents know each other community knows each other.
I thought your man that was really a highlight for our kids.
We got a big win there against that outstanding team with Justin idea.
There are states of my finalists, so I'm sure that will be something looking human that people be excited about for good reason.
They have a guy.
Lacombe's a phenomenal coach coming from Holy Cross.
I think they'll be just as good as they've been, if not that in terms of keeping that thing rolling Justus we've seen and then a great Division three team as we get into ST Thomas.
The quietness we've got Riverside Academy, longtime really play them every year.
I think it's been assistant coach.
Dies are, wants to keep that going.
They really got it rolling late.
I thought Big win against Country Day.
That was a good game and a game that Ross player close this one last year.
Washington lines on the wane.
They are really, really something.
They've got the majority that players coming back.
We want a tight one last year that we really have to gut out.
They had a huge win against, you know, launcher in the playoffs.
That's really and that's that right at that week.
That's a measuring stick for us.
Tell you how highly I think of him in that program, so we'll be looking forward to that and then you get in district and kind of, you know, working their way through.
I think it starts. Obviously.
ST Charles, Catholic Coach Monica, um, year and you're out there.
The stakes finals for a reason.
They're great upfront about last year Got as close as we've been.
You know, we're able to get down, but two big plays.
I think Curtis kicked their kick.
You and there were stable pull ahead with arts with a great run.
They milk the clock, working all the way down link to the field.
But I think that for us was an indicator.
So you know they're gonna come to us.
I think that'll be a really showcase game when you it'll be great.
I think we're both programs to kind of see where we're at the end of the season.
And then, you know, the story itself lack urban programme under Khosla.
Feet do an outstanding job in terms of, I mean, that's its hard.
A group of kids I've seen plays 18 players, and they just worked tirelessly.
So, you know, really good schedule.
Don't know much about Cohen.
Their coach pen pals moved on.
Now, you know, obviously Hanes Academy, so I don't know as much about what they have come back or what not but a good schedule.
And we can only prepare for what's in front of us.
And we certainly respect our opponents.
We have high hopes for ourselves.
And hey, if it could look like anything, it could go 10 75 or some people say spring.
I don't know, but we're just gonna just gonna work out tales often see what happened.
Well, good luck, man.
Everybody keep staying, staying healthy and on top of everything.
And hopefully we'll be seeing each other on a Friday night yet before 2 to 1.
Yeah, man. And I look forward to it.
I, uh, open those stands will fill up.
We can get some normalcy going sometime soon, But I really appreciate you having me and just fun talking football.
What? Um, watchman, that young man like that that young man personified with Newman football is all about because what, uh, he was talking about the young.
The game of this generous.
They lost that game against Yemen's.
That was just some just unfortunate situation against getting so I look at it this way.
Newman is not gonna pull off facing our, um, tomorrow or the next day or on a week out the next? No, I think they're gonna be better again.
So once again, Newman Football Way broke down Newman football.
So we will go with some or breakdowns here on on some sports talk with care of my special edition about football preview.
Let's begin breaking down non 18 We will go to, uh, break down.
Let's ST John, uh, they're in Saint John Parish.
That's only the West Bank of ST John.
Uh, there, Um um, biggest challenges.
They used to be in to a neither ending down to the one a side.
So I think they're gonna be, ah, challenge for them.
So we'll have another interview with, um um Brandon All Waters.
He's the coach of Blessing John Blow break.
That will go through a DeMann second.
We're giving you on information.
Their quarterback, um um fed a better.
Um, veteran Young.
He's also got another weapon on the um que Jane Kendrick.
And also, I'm not a guy that here by the name of bomb Troy. Jasmine.
That's another guy.
So they're gonna be loaded and impact this year, Um, with their team.
So why ST John? I look at the, um, then dog Riverside Academy Country Day.
Um, ST Martin and the cold. Classy.
That's going to be the the main, um uh, opponents for, um what sign? John.
So that is your So we will go to the, um, interview session with Brandon Waters.
Easy, coach about Westside John Preview in the 2020 football season.
So, once again, thanks for joining us here or non sports talk with Carolyn. My show.
A special edition of football preview.
I will preview Northwest Louisiana in just a few moments.
So that's, um, for Louisiana versa.
Leo working with go preps Jerry Rosa today with West ST John Coach Brian Walters who was still hanging around the the weight room, kind of winding down.
Ah, long day, as as the Rams get ready toe.
I'm just still gearing up toward this next season.
Coach I have been doing then doing well, man.
Just finish up, you know, wiping everything down for tomorrow, you know, so we'll be ready.
Will be Come in and, you know, doing okay, man.
Just trying to stay on top of things and, um, keeping the guys motivated.
And, uh, you know, he gonna come in here and get the work done.
You know, that's for everything I'm writing.
It's kind of, you know, there's so many storylines going on that are actually football pertinent.
But over over the top of all of that, there's this Corona virus situation that has been the top of everyone's minds all offseason.
Um, for you guys, what is that process look like? Toe To be away from the kids for much longer than you would typically be used to an now, finally have him back and and doing some work but a little bit of, ah, unprecedented routine trying to get into some off season.
Finally, yeah, I think, you know, not being able to do our spring traditionally, it, you know, But everybody's on even playing field so it won't.
We won't feel the sting of it too much.
You know, those three months to the soul that everybody was often away from everything.
You know, it kind of gave me time to reflect on, you know, some good and the bad.
And what could be changed? What could be fixed you know.
So I was able to get some things done with that time loss.
You know, just for yourself.
In the in the staff just be ableto kind of reset and rewind.
You know, in the middle of all of that and now, you know, because we're able to get back at get back to it.
The guys that kind of, you know, followed into the between.
The chairs are different, you know? It doesn't take much, so them to get back to what? What they only doing, you know, Although it doesn't take much to problem, I'll back.
You know, it's easy to kind of get them back into this.
Well, so we've had a good 1st 2 weeks of practice have been going pretty well, the guys in here working for the heart and doing what they need to do So pretty, pretty, pretty glad to see what I'm saying.
You know, um, I like, I like it so far.
I think the guys air coming in and doing a great job of working hard, and you can see that some of them are a little behind and that's understandable.
But for the most part, our guys all already.
You never really credit for this Louisiana 90 plus weather, you know? But we just take it in stride, man, and do what we can do the hydrate and and make sure the guys that taking care you mentioned being able to use that that time to be kind of, I guess, somewhat introspective and take some things some good, some bad you'll have had as much success.
I mean, have been among the elite programs among the smaller schools really statewide.
Most recent state championship a couple years ago in 2017 and came close made some runs again these past two years, but fell short in the semi's What were some of the things that you looked at that you liked and, you know, needed to remain? Ah, I mean a constant for you guys that you continue to build a point.
What were some of those things that stood out that you kind of wanted t maybe adjuster or do a little bit differently moving forward after taking that close of a look at it? Well, for us, you know, we lost some guys, some three guys in different spots and for me and you know, for us we're, ah, run team.
And when we're good in the trenches, on the other side of the ball way could do well.
We have to be able stop the run.
But we have to be a part of the people, too.
So that's what we're trying to show up in this off season and preparation.
Getting that office of lines together, you know, getting some guys put back in place offensively, find out, you know, some different weapons and how we can use a utilizing this game of what we do it.
And I'm just gonna be excited, you know, to see the new newer guys get in and have their chances and opportunities to make some plays.
And it should be a good thing.
You know, we're gonna be really stop on defense.
That's where most of our guys are returning.
Although we do have some weapons offensively that returning as well.
Bread and butter.
It's pretty much on the defense right now.
Defensive side, we have the most.
Those guys are returning starters from last year's season, so we got a lead on them heavily.
You know, we're going to try to stop people as much as we can t o the point.
So on the board, you know, and, uh and that's the insured transit.
Make sure we confound it when we want to be.
I think when you when you look at some of those those guys that return everyone at this point is probably got a handle on Caleb Edwards as being one of those names of guys toe watches, an sec level recruit already, even though he's got plenty of high school football ahead.
What has it been like to see him continue to develop? Because he just looks more and more that art, I think every time out and and who were some of those other guys that you know you you're really able to rely on on right now, even with kind of ah, different off season that just kind of a little bit more established and ready to roll? Well, the good thing for us that on the defensive line, the scale of Cotton Acres and he'll bounce back and forth from linebackers defensive end.
The key part on that defense, the front four, is that they're all temporary.
That's going into the junior year off and Jason office.
He's pretty kid, and they're about truth to 50 as a D tackle going into his junior year.
Take a Bella's can really play and move some people around as well.
He plays on offense, society the ball did for us on that head.
You know, they've grown up a fat a lot faster, you know, it's inside.
So we're gonna just try to put some muscle on that, you know, on those guys and see what we can go.
You know, we also have Jacoby Lewis.
You know, we got to put some for some way back on him and get him going.
But futures for those front four up front, you know, and really five in that rotation, depending on what we do.
You know, Caleb outwards and scale of values, man.
He's been a stud since he arrived at West.
Same time, You know, we're just trying to get in the state with and what we're doing and not get the big head and bring his team with, you know, and don't be able to leave the guys and you don't have a senior to do that.
So we're trying to stress that, you know, even though he's getting a lot of bubble, a lot of attention.
You got excited to stay level headed, the state grounded and still keep focusing on what we're trying to do as a team.
So he's going to be finding that aspect and he's working hard, putting a lot of work.
You could tell, you know, when you look at him and see and he's, he's grinding, So that's all we need from him.
And we're looking forward to a great season from him and a lot of those other guys that plays around, you know, like I said, we're pretty strong up front and we're gonna build from around those guys, whether it be some guys on the offensive side of the football or really anywhere who are some of those names that haven't haven't done it as much on the field on Fridays for you guys yet, but you know our position to if they take care of business these next few months, toe have an opportunity to really make an impact when you get back out there.
Well, offensively, we're leaning heavily right now. On first name young.
He's gonna be the quarterback right now on do some other things for us as well.
She signed Kendrick.
He was a return specialist for us.
Also played slot receiver, running back for us Troy, Jasmine's returning starter.
He should be able to do some things a lot, a lot more for us this year as well, and then we're going to bring those other kids along.
Those are most of the returning guys offensively, as far as the skill position.
We have a couple of on offense of line, and we're still trying to solidify some of that stuff.
So you know, we'll work out the kinks in time.
Who really wants to play, who wants to battle for it and, well, let the chips fall where they may.
Have you all been ableto have many, I guess Bigger picture, goal setting mindset type talks with them or is the separation right now? Is that kind of delayed? Some of that sort of stuff? Well, you know, season wise looking, looking further on down the year, we're basically just trying to get the guys to stay focused on right now.
Could forward we can be prepared.
Be ready workout butts off and you know we'll be ready to dope for what? Whatever it takes place in the fall.
But actually coaching the state remain positive and you know we can't really speak.
It's fast for what's gonna happen.
All we can do with concentrate on will be, can't control.
And that's just to get out, kids ready and play.
Make sure that coach stuff and prepare for the season and would just treat it as if it's a regular season of getting prepared for us for us, you know, the things that were teaching, what want to go into their doing.
But of course we have to make sure we do that within the around the bomb, you know, staying apart from each other and just kind of take the step at, uh, you know, in gradually moved.
If if we do get some sort of normal or semi normal look at the season and then you guys get a look at that district slate and everything, how does that sort of lineup as you if you have even really looked around that all you guys have some pretty tough opponents in that district? And, uh, are you all have been ableto win the district.
Uh, I mean, you come in as the reining district champs, but know that it's it's never gonna be easy with that group awaiting U.
So what does that look like in terms of the schedule in particularly district that awaits eventually? Well, with her beside Country Day and on ST Martin in there, you know, we're going to be challenged, you know, by all of those teams, and we have to go in there with the mindset, you know? Yeah, we are the reigning champions.
But each year, who says the new sets of instead of problems and all of those teams, I'm sure they're doing a great job.
Get prepared, you know, preparing for this upcoming season.
And I'm sure we have the use of talking on our back that we do you travel with.
So we have to be able defend.
You know, we have to be able to expect everybody's best.
That's used what we get, and we have to rise to the case.
But our district will be pretty competitive, and we were fortunate last year to be able to get so when the district.
But he's here, like I said, brings on challenges and will be ready for it and will be prepared.
He's coach Brand Walters leading the West ST John Rams into another season.
I certainly appreciate you taking a couple minutes to talk about it and just let us know where you guys are Here. Midsummer.
No problem. Thank you. Get the opportunity.
And here's another something.
Another team that's going to be absolutely a powerhouse in a different one.
A haze bill that is an absolute powerhouse.
What? Said John of a Beyonce with your then most likely going to be facing whoever in the playoffs.
It comes out of that 18 division because I won't be honest with one.
A is absolutely got the elites, Um, talk to bottom in one. A football.
So I have your hands bills.
Um, also have you watching your, um, academy that some one of them and also Westland John.
So let's move along.
We won't begin our Northwest Louisiana preview.
Let's go with the Northwest Louisiana football preview.
But what's just over? Okay, we're going over.
Mommy, get this over.
This is the wrong once northeast Louisiana would do nor peace.
Um, Louisiana? Probably on Thursday, so Well, okay, what's, um, go over the on Northwest Louisiana football preview? This is some in, um, the street port area.
Street book bones, your city area.
Okay, Um, just 15 a preview.
That's going to be an absolute, um, juggernaut district right there with Mom, airline Captain Streed and Halton.
That's one of the teams.
And that's going to be the young determining factors going into the young.
2000 and 20 football season for our district one five days.
So, um, six of one with six and one in District 158 last season.
Um, all number tell you that's That's one of the teams that most likely will come out of that district.
Last season, they finished 11 and three to head up.
Um, it went to the just playoffs.
Um, Jake Wonder.
Ah, lot line doctor says Jake ST Andres.
He was an all district selection.
Averaged 145 tackles, also 17 tackles, five for ***.
Also, um, Holton's defense only gave up 14.
6 points a game.
Eso that some one of the reasons they're going to be, Ah, perennial powerhouse this year.
Uh, and, um, Northwest Louisiana.
So also airline Vikings.
That's another team.
That's probably going to be, um, coming back on the map this year.
Last year, they finished young.
Um uh, they finish, um, um, bringing in seven in 2018 Doctor.
My dad's going to be a determining factor in Northwest Louisiana football up in, um, so I'll be honest with you.
L line will be another determining factor.
I also Captain Street as well.
Um, is the determining factor.
So now, um, your, um offence of BP was Alex Garcia, um, and five other stores.
He completed 206 passes on about 372 temps.
Yeah, threw for 2000 745 year old is also defensively.
Brian Taylor, former, um, salt with coach has been coaching l on secondary for several years.
So that's something like there, There.
Um, they're going.
They're going to be on the map.
The district on 158 Uh, championship.
What? We decide it in the final game of the season, the Captain Street Gators have a chance to get the outright title.
So it most likely gonna happen for our captain treed.
Um, that's up in three point.
So, um, also mawr information with offensively captive stream.
Um, we'll break it on new officer coordinator, and his name is gel it low.
Um, so they're gonna be on breaking in some new coaching staff to stuff like that for Captain Street.
Now, the burnt yellow jackets.
This is another team I hear bird yellowjackets up in ST Point area are their offensive coaches on James Wilkerson.
And, um So, um, so he did lost.
They lose that coaching on James Wilkerson.
He went to knock on the central eso they are replacing coaches for.
See how I'm seeing bird up in, um, street port.
So? So I look at it this way.
I think they're probably gonna have some problems this year for bird breaking in some new coaching staffs and stuff like that.
Now, the next thing we're gonna break over is Thea betting tigers.
Um um, back in the street point, both your city area, Um, they are doing a new on newcomer, so they're gonna call some damage.
Um, when their side now Parkway, Parkway, Pampers, Barkley.
Um, always been a, um a, um, contender.
And whatever gets to do there was, I think there was a three a but now they're in a picture in Nam.
So that's the That's the own, um, now Nakata's central.
This is another team that's in, um, no question.
Louisiana, that's in the, um so they're going to be having some now the district one for a preview.
Let's go over to disappoint for a preview that is in, um, once again and both you City Street port area amended.
I've been a 74 last year.
They had, um, perennial powers on, um um, Nevil and *******.
******* has always been a perennial powerhouse in the in northeast Louisiana.
So But there are, but they're probably going to be some.
They're gonna probably a perennial powerhouse in their district Now, the Horton, the Hunted to Raiders, that's another on teen that's gonna probably be on the rise.
That defense is some switch from 4 to 5 to a 33 stacks that they're gonna be using that defense quite convincingly on during the 2020 football season.
For on Huntington Raiders up.
Um, you got three point area now.
That's in Freeport, Louisiana.
Um, your head coaches are CJ.
I learned a lot from being a head coach in 2019 so that's probably going to be another on team.
Most likely gonna have some on growing pains, but hopefully they can overcome those growing pains.
Uh, Andy, on future.
Now, the North quick off falcons.
That's another team.
We're gonna go over.
Um, so that's a lot of teams.
And that, um, in the northwest corridor of the state is going to be on potential playoff team going into the young 2000 and 20 football season s.
Oh, that's going to be the determining factor is on north from what's Louisiana? Um um eso no work, too.
So it's another team, and there were in Northwest.
We send a year ago.
They went four and six.
So they're gonna have to improve this year.
Wonder, um, when there are records said and get into the playoffs.
Um, our offense.
They have Kevin Kenley.
Yes, 1006 aren't 19 yards in 2019.
Also adored threat athlete and not David Adkins.
yum ran for $362 caught, um, 666 reception yards in his game.
Now they're returning starters is Kevin.
Um, but Majak Majora Assam em m i j a or E s also, um, car card and Clarke also, um, let's see.
Um, DeBerg Every Yom trying to say is thinking actions.
Another guy is right.
Gibson And also Gary.
That's another guy.
Washington Booker T.
Washington finished two and seven on 2019.
This is the District 138 preview that Leno's Giants.
It's not a team that's probably going to be, um, getting better with that team.
So their, um they had a quarterback up and, um, his name was keep boom Baker, whose their bodies and L s u commit also, um, the Kolar cold.
This Crawford It's another guy.
He said junior wide receiver.
He had 2700 yards.
You also had $10,000 for? Well, no.
So that's probably going to be some wide receiver.
Is that gonna be returning 40 Clinton, some jots.
Um, and, um, now, when the defense aside, um, Isaac has to replace nine starters, including three star linebacker Joseph Bomb Mason, who signed with Louisiana Attack and also fellow linebacker yelling I'm or he's also got a um He also got 12 offers from different teams in college football.
I respect 138 to be tough again.
I think they will face the toughest challenge in their district for Glynos Now, um, a mask.
You and North Webster each finished 47 last year.
So they're gonna have to get better this year.
Both teams in the street for region, Lord cattle nor cattles another teen.
Andi, I got the first district title since 2004 under, um, new head coach Jay Jay Cabin or the Rebels earned third seed in the playoffs.
So they did make a deep run in the to a playoff.
So that was they're, um, a coppersmith last year.
Um, however, day, um um Lakeside, um upset it, nor cattle 33 29.
So that was unfortunate for on North Caddo.
Now, like like sides.
That's a team that did upset nor cow.
They have 15 11 men returning from the 2019 squad, so they're going to be I probably absolutely loaded.
They also have nine starters returning with their gene.
Um, there are wide receiver and deep defensive back.
It's all Trace Sanders.
That's one of their guys.
Now, when the defense aside, Tim Arm, that's a A or why, also, Jalen Jackson is another guy with a light side.
Now we're gonna go over the district.
Great to a preview.
Just free to a Manny Tigers.
Some, um, Well, most likely try to make a statement in there.
Um um, district as well in the district.
Three to a level.
Um, so that's probably going to be the case for them for the managed Tigers.
So, um, now the life you Gators, it's another team.
When? Six and five.
Last season, 2019 season.
So they're gonna hopefully don't approve on their, um, they're, ah, season last year.
Um, going into the 2020 football season, Um, one of their players.
That's your dinos.
Jones is a gate US leading tackler.
108 tacos also had five sites and three interceptions.
Also senior linebacker double.
They tied in for like you.
So, uh um, waiting a six point.
And also he was at six point weight at £230.
That's that's, um, assistant situation.
Like there for them Also, um, Kevin Hickman is their top corner.
Hey, had 17 points for 20 yards.
You also, um, had a great touchdowns.
Also, Red River Bulldogs.
That something north with Louisiana.
Um, expect the challenge.
Mountains for the final A man.
Excuse me, John.
Um, Duckman on crew.
Been a six and six last season.
Um, lost tender in the second round of the playoffs.
So that was their situation right there.
Louisiana artist goes and threat to a a bull's bunking Menard and went feel.
So there will be some James that's going to contended for that great to a title in this year.
Now, Cavalry Cowboy back to says that's always been a good team.
Year out the year, um, Calvary baptise there in the district one a level 11 preview.
So we're looking at their preview right now.
So, um, Calvary, um, I went into the district on the vision fourth championship game by beating rain.
And also, um, I think they be watching your Christian s O that they lost on what? Um they lost the watch your Christian.
So I'm looking at it s Oh, so I'm gonna tell you right now, I always seems in the state of Louisiana in the district and Doc West Louisiana, most likely going to be that perennial team that's gonna wanna ended up in the Superdome at the end of the season.
I'm like, hangs, Phil.
Hey, Stroke One hate feel is another team that's always been, um, absolutely Ah, dominant force and district and won a football.
So that's the now playing dealing This is another team, um, up And, um, the Northwest Louisiana area.
Uh, they've been is 56 some last season.
So hopefully they can program that arm season, um, playing dealings and claim on Paris.
That's in northwest Louisiana.
I'm also Arcadia.
Um, Rams, Arcadia.
Um, Hornets, then is 47 last year, shocked out of the first round of the playoffs.
Now, Gringo Rengo, it's another team we never heard off.
They finished one and nine.
Hopefully, they can prove on that one in on record.
Um what? Um, that team.
They have six some strength defeats at the end of the 2019 slate.
Now, window your school.
That's an, um I think it's a magnolia.
Louisiana? Um, they finished three and a eight last season.
Eso they had a top rusher.
And, like, Kale McHale, we, um we call, um we call a butler yet 734 yards.
He also had two touchdowns.
And also guess been Manning was leading, not tacklers.
So I know you're school is gonna have some to say about it in that district now.
District 31 a preview.
This is the local sports tigers looking for tigers up and, um um, tickets around the thickets around the street boy, both your area.
Um, the other Tiger opponent, ST Mary hopes so approved before six from last season.
So that's probably gonna be the case for them.
So, um, I look at a district, all these tubes and what were talked about in this on this preview? Absolute.
We're goingto have something to say about, um, here, um, that season, and also that the championships comes with it so that it's, um um So, what's again? Let's go ahead and turn this off, OK, once again, thanks for joining us for this addition.
