Hi, I'm Matt Williamson with the R.
Barker to preview the A F C East.
Off seasons come and let's start with the Bills.
Only two teams have more cap space to spend than Buffalo, which is really exciting for an already solid up and coming, well built team.
They don't have a ton of offseason needs, so maybe this is the time when they add luxury items or bigger priced items.
They have a couple notable u F U F A's, but Jordan Phillips is really the best of the bunch.
She's the one that should demand the most.
In my opinion, they should do everything possible to bring him back.
I mean, they do have Star Little et les they drafted at Oliver in the first round.
But that threesome at the defensive tackle position and brings a lot of versatility, a lot of playmaking skills to it.
I would try to keep it intact, but other than that, I think they can shop outside the organization.
I would think they'll look for another weapon for Josh Allen.
Maybe more offensive line help, even with all the help they gave their offensive line off season.
But really looking for playmakers on both sides of the ball.
The Dolphins are obviously in a much different situation.
I mean, frankly, they need everything and the goal.
The number one goal will be to find a franchise quarterback.
I mean, to out Alabama makes the absolute most sense.
Um, I don't believe that they'll be able to get him at five, though, unless some kind of report comes out of the combine with some more medical problems than we think.
But I think they're gonna have to trade up to two or three to get to, uh, and I think they're in a really good position to do that.
I mean, they have three first round picks, They have an extra second, and really, with those picks, I would imagine they're going to do everything possible, get the quarterback and then more or less.
Just taking best athlete available, regardless of position, was certainly a stress on the offensive line.
Their offensive line was really poor this last year.
It's also noteworthy, noteworthy that they had the Dolphins have more caps base in any team in the league and they probably probably also more needs in any team in the league.
and they're they're free agents to be, really aren't that important to them.
I mean, they can pretty much.
They don't have to prioritize their own all that much.
The Patriots Patriots in a really strange state for their franchise compared to the last few years or last many years.
Obviously, they have a 45 million and cap space.
But that doesn't include Tom Brady, who doesn't look like he's gonna take the typical hometown Patriot discount.
Will he even be back? Obviously, that's one of the biggest questions around the league the entire off season.
I would assume if he does return, it's with the understanding that you gotta find me more pass catchers, more guys that can gain separation.
They went from the best tight end in the history of the game, in my opinion, to the worst tight end situation in the league.
They traded their second round pick for Mohammed Sunu and used the first round pick on the Kill Harry.
Neither those guys paid off all that much.
They don't have that second, but they have an extra fourth and they should be getting to third round picks as calm picks.
But they also have some free agent decisions to make outside of Brady, Devin McCourty, Kyle Vanoy, Jamie Collins, Danny Shelton, Joe Thony.
So big pieces of their great defense, but also some aging pieces to again.
The Patriots are very much in a transitional stage.
For better or worse, the Jets seem to keep spinning their wheels em, they to of around 50 million and cap space.
But they have some very glaring needs.
Their offensive line is in shambles, and Kallio and Beecham are both free agents and not particularly young and e.
I don't know if you'd even bring them back.
Their cornerback position has been a problem for some time now.
Jermaine Johnson has not worked out high priced spending spending spree there.
He probably will get cut.
They don't have much in the way of edge rushers.
Wide receivers now problem, too, especially with Robbie Anderson set to be a free agent as well.
So they have a lot of needs, and probably not enough resource is to get all those things done.
Obviously, they need to do a better job overall of putting Sam Darnold in a real position to truly succeed.
Um, he twos at a crossroads of his career is well, so that's a wrap on the A F C East and check out the all the work that Yard Barker thanks so much.
