on today's show, we're going to examine the newest controversy.
The New England Patriots, find the men and discuss and try to figure out what type of punishment the NFL may hand out for Spy Gate two point.
Oh, I also want to look at an article written by Mike Reiss that highlights why the Patriots will repeat they're late season heroics from 2018 and go all the way to the Super Bowl.
And also the reason that this season is different and why the Patriots might just not do it.
The Patriots players are mad and on edge after the most recent loss of the Cane City Chiefs, and I see that is a good thing.
And is it finally time for the Patriots to give Damien hairs some playing time? All that and more here on deep e'en? What's going on in Welcome to my little show here, live on SportsCastr.

And, um, you know, and of course, I will be live on SportsCastr after that.
And I guess with all the cheap plugs done, let's just start talking football.
So yesterday, our New England Patriots admitted that the camera crew that they sent the Cleveland did indeed film the Cincinnati Bengals sideline.
But the Patriots are denying that the actual football operation side had anything to do with it.
And before we really talk about it, here is their official statement.
For the past year, the New England Patriots content team has produced a series of behind the scenes features on various departments within the organization.
The seven previous Do Your job episodes are archived on patriots dot com.
On Sunday, December 8, the content team sent a three person crew to the Bengals Browns game at First Energy Stadium in order to capture one part of a longer feature on the Patriots scouting department.
In this case of Patriots pro personal scale.
While he was working in the press box while we saw it and were granted credentials access from the Cleveland Browns.
For the video crew, our failure to inform the Bangles and the league was an unintended oversights.
In addition to filming the scout, the production crew, without specific knowledge to the league rules, inappropriately film the field from the press box.
The sole purpose of the filming was to provide an illustration of an advanced scout at work on the road.
There was no intention of using the footage for any other purpose.
We understand and acknowledge that our video crew, which included independent contractors who shot the video unknowing, unknowingly violated a league policy by filming the field and sideline from the press box.
When questioned, the crew immediately turned over all footage to the league and cooperated fully.
The production crew is independent of our football operations.
While aware that one of the scouts was being profiled for a do your job episode, our football staff had no other involvement whatsoever in the planning, filming or creative decisions made during the production of these features.
We accept full responsibility of the actions from our production crew of the Browns and Bangles game and quote.
So, look, people obviously are going to question whether or not Bill Belichick had anything to do with it, and many have already found him guilty.
And don't buy the Patriots explanation.
The biggest issue facing the NFL and the Patriots is this is the second time that Patriots have been caught illegally filming their opponents sidelines and whether Bala check new or not.
You know it was happening.
And it's almost irrelevant because he knew the first time in the NFL now has a big decision to make.
And Roger Goodell is gonna be under a lot of pressure to do something.
But no matter what he does, somebody is going to be unhappy with his decision.
So the question is, what kind of punishment could the NFL hand the Patriots? And if you've read every single article that has come out today, so many different people have so many different opinions.
I was reading an article on Sports Ilitch Sports Illustrated.
I was watching a read an article on USA Today that are coming out insane, that they need to throw the book at the Patriots.
And, you know, perhaps I think sports illustrate acknowledged they probably the Patriots probably didn't know what was going on, but they just don't throw the book because the Patriots been caught cheating Before you know it as Patriot fans, you know that this kind of stuff is going to come, You know, that people are going to be calling the Patriots cheaters.
They're not gonna be given the benefit of the doubt because, according to some people, they've been given the benefit of the doubt before.
And, you know, it's just it is what it is you look at Patriots Media.
They're talking about how the Patriots football operations had nothing to do with it.
But look, the NFL is gonna have to do something.
We've seen everything from take a rat way of first round draft pick to throw the book at them to suspend Bill Bala check for the season and all this other kind of stuff.
New reports came out that the league is actually inclined up, believing the Patriots reasoning behind it, and that they actually believe the Patriots when they say, you know, this had nothing to do with the football team.
The camera crew had no idea this was happening and I mean, Bill Belichick is not that arrogant that he's going to get credentials for a team set up in front of Cincinnati scouts and film the sideline and think that nothing is gonna happen, that I mean, come on.
There's no way that Bill Belichick is doing that.
And, you know, it is what it is on that on that piece in that part.
Right? So when you look at that and you look at that whole piece, I believe that the New England Patriots, they're gonna get fine and they're probably going to get fine, big money.
But I don't think they're gonna take away a draft pick.
I don't think they're gonna hurt the football team.
They're gonna hurt Robert Kraft.
It was actually the craft Sports industries that was producing the video wasn't even the New England Patriots, the team and, you know, and for the people who are screaming that they need to throw the book at the Patriots like Come on, right.
And when you think about the reasoning behind it, if you think if the Patriots are going to do that, are they gonna be if they were going to pull off something like that.
Would they not be looking at a team like the Kansas City Chiefs or the Baltimore Ravens or the Houston Texans? Possibly the Buffalo Bills, a team that they played twice, a team that they had a struggle against? Why in the hell with the Patriots? So obviously set up a camera with one and 12 Cincinnati Bengals? That's the piece, you know, And look, any fan, I could sit on the sidelines with my camera phone record, you know, record the bench and sent it to the Patriots.
I think anybody with half a brain who is not out there just trying to, you know, just trying to rip on the Patriots.
And you knew that was gonna come.
Guys, we talked about it last night.
It's gonna be, Ah, long probably season now of people talking about how the Patriots cheat and blah blah blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, right.
We knew that we knew that, you know, And, yeah, man, the Patriots, our Robert Kraft Kraft Sports incorporated over the hell the company's called Not doing the Patriots.
They sent a team wearing logo that had Patriots apparel on it.
They did it right in front of the press, right in front of all the scouts, right in front of Cincinnati personnel.
Again, Belichick is not that brazen.
Anybody who's got, I don't know, half a brain cell in their head understands there's no way the Patriots were spying on the Bangles.
Yes, they got the footage, but that was never intended.
I guess I should say they weren't intentionally spine on the Bangles.
I don't think Bill Belichick ever would have seen that film.
So everybody who out there who's hoping that the NFL throws the book at the Patriots and that ballot check is suspended and Craft is find a $1,000,000 take away three draft picks really hurt the football team.
It's not gonna happen, you know.
And you know, I saw a tweet today that at first I didn't even react to which surprised me because this kind of tweet usually get some sort of reaction on me.
And then the more I thought about it, the more I kind of went.
I don't want to go down this road cause I don't really feel this way.
But, you know, a guy was tweeting at the Patriots today, and he says, You know Robert Kraft this year you've taken away Antonio Brown from Tom Brady and Bill Belichick.
The coaches want him.
The players want him, but you don't want him.
Now you've put Bill Ballot Shack on the hot seat.
You know, he's got to be.
You know, he's got to answer questions about cameras.
I'm sure the players are going to be asking, you know, answering questions about cameras when it had nothing to do with the football team, you know, And I mean, Robert Kraft is.
I'm so you know he's starting to draw the ire of Patriot fans. Fair or not.
I mean, I don't know how you get me, how you get mad at the owner that's given us six championships.
The one who's agreed to pay Tom Brady, the one who traded for Bill Belichick, all that kind of stuff.
But, you know, so be it on there.
But when I think about the whole sort of situation, the whole roundabout thing, you know it's star all starts out with the, you know, massage parlor in the off season and and then the whole Antonio Brown thing and whether you're a Patriots fan that wants him or not.
Every report out there is telling you the coaches and the players do so.
I always kind of leaned toward what they want over what we want, even when I feel differently than them.
You know, it's that whole in Bill we trust type of deal, and I'm still to this day and I said when it happened, I don't think Bill Belichick wanted to release Antonio Brown.
I think it was a Robert Kraft decision from the start.
Robert Kraft was really kind of screwing with Bill Bella check this year, you know, and I think about that whole Antonio Brown thing, if it was crafted, said, You have to get rid of them.
That's gonna be the second time in like four years that Robert Kraft overran a football decision from Bill Belichick.
But anyways, I don't want to get in and there's no contrast.
You know, that's just me talking.
That's me responding to its weed.
I probably shouldn't gonna put it out there because I'm sure I'm encouraging somebody to start ripping on the owner and ripping on the team or ripping on the coach or something.
of that nature, so I'm just gonna stop that now.
But, you know, it's weird anyways, moving on from this annoying little scandal.
I actually want to talk about the Patriots, the football team and my grease of ESPN.
He wrote an interesting article today, and he was highlighting why the Patriots could still repeat as Super Bowl champions and why they couldn't.
There was a really an objective view on both sides, and I like to look at both sides of the argument and kind of way, in my opinion, from time to time.
So here's a condensed version of his article, and we're going to start with why he thinks the Patriots can repeat almost exactly what they did last season.
You know, when they went all the way to the Super Bowl and Reese wrote Quote, ready to turn the page on next, are ready to turn the page next Sunday's 1 p.m.
Eastern time road game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Bill Belichick doesn't seem discouraged, despite his New England Patriots being in the midst of a two game losing streak.
In fact, he was highlighting silver linings not long after leaving the field following Sunday's 23 to 16 loss of the Kansas City Chiefs.
We lost a close game to a good football team.
If we could play a little better, I think we would have won, he said.
It isn't this isn't the bill ballot shack that many are used to hearing after a loss as he highlighted his number.
One thing being how his players competed for 60 minutes, he said It would serve us well going forward.
And where might that be going? In 2018? The Patriots showed that a two game skid late in the season doesn't mean Super Bowl hopes can't be fulfilled.
So maybe history repeats itself in 2019 and they'll play their best football when it counts the most end quote.
I want to go back to that thing that Bill Baljic, his number one thing was that his players competed for 60 minutes and let's go back to 2014.
And after a minute, actually, let's go back to its probably 2015.
After the Patriots won the Super Bowl.
On it was to do your job segment, and Belichick was talking about that Kansas City Chiefs game on Monday Night Football, and he said it.
The team got smashed and, you know, they they knew they weren't gonna come back.
And he said the second half wasn't about adjustments and that kind of thing.
It was about the team competing.
It was the compete level.
Can he work with the compete level of the, You know, can the team keep competing? And that's what he's happy about today.
And I mean, when Tom Brady ran for that first down and built ballot shack, ran down the field and gave the big first down Mark and Brady was screaming.
I mean, when's the last time you've seen Tom Brady and built ballot check that fired up? You never see Bala check fired up over some sort of offensive game plan.
But what I think he saw was Tom Brady, who had times the last couple of games has almost looked this interested in playing football.
I mean, I talked about, I think it was after the chief scored one of their points at the end of the and the Patriots like a mitt and 1/2 2 minutes on the clock to go down the field and at the end of the first half against the Chiefs, and it was the most disinterested.
I've seen Tom Brady like he looked like I don't wanna be on the field right now.
He gets so frustrated and so mad.
So for Brady to show that kind of emotion for the team to keep fighting, for the defense, to bounce back after giving up 20 points in the first half and only put up three.
I mean, it's a football fan.
That's what you want to see any of your team.
I'm not even saying that's gonna translate to wins guys, even though I believe in this team, if I'm talking, If I was an outsider looking in and I wanted to be like, the talking media had their doubting the Patriots, I can't tell you that fight is gonna translate to wins.
But what it tells us is that you got a team that's ready to compete.
You combine that with talent.
The sky is really the limit.
So let's continue on with recent article.
It says quote still in good position for a first round bye with a 10 and three record, and it's sure to be favored in each of the three remaining games at the Bengals one and 12 at home against the Bills nine and four and Dolphins three and 10.
The Patriots would lock down a first round playoff by if they went out.
Considering that every team that has played in the Super Bowl over the past six years has had a first round bye, that's significant.
If the Patriots have toe travel to face the likely number one seed, the Bolt Baltimore in the NFC championship game similar to how they had to visit the Kansas City Chiefs last season, they will benefit from having faced the Ravens during the season.
The Patriots had to experience the chief's uncommon speed during 20 during the 2018 regular season to get a better feel for what they were up against.
And the same is true with the dynamic Jackson in the Ravens.
Different form norm right form, the norm.
That was hard to say.
The Patriots were hit with a couple of scheme runs in the regular season match up against Baltimore that they would presumably be prepared for a second time around.
Now I don't have the number in front of me, but I'm almost certain that the Patriots actually don't have a great record again playing a team in the playoffs after losing.
But on top of that, though, it's true.
Anytime the Patriots can play a team twice, Bill Belichick always has that advantage.
And every game the Patriots airplane is winnable if the Patriots lose to the Cincinnati Bangles this week.
I mean, really, I think that for the first time ever, I will start doubting that this team can do anything.
And I'll fully admit that, guys, I'll fully meant that if they cannot bounce back and Pete, the Cincinnati friggin Bangles, I will probably be on a train.
I don't think I'm going to full doubt mode, but I'll go from concern to actually concerned, and there's a difference between each.
But I think they could beat the Bills at home.
They could beat the Dolphins at home, and there's a lot more going on.
I don't want to touch upon everything that's going on because there's another part I'm gonna talk about later on in the stream.
That's going to explain this a lot better, but I'm seeing things in the Patriotslocker room and I'm seeing things out of these players that are actually getting me very optimistic.
Well, scary on the article recess.
While there's been constant turnover at various positions on offense, the defense's mostly remained intact, and this defense is better than the 2018 unit that ultimately paved the way to victory in Super Bowl 53 and defense wins championships.
I mean, guys, we've been talking about it since, what week? One.
Even when the Patriots were putting up tons of points that this Patriots defense is good enough to get the Patriots to a Super Bowl.
I don't expect the Patriots to score under 20 points going forward.
I don't expect the painter to score 120 points in the playoffs.
Kansas City Chiefs fans won't admit this.
The media won't administer team would admit this, but they expected to go into Gillette Stadium and put up a lot more than 23 points.
And after they put up 20 points in the first half, I'm sure a lot of people thought it was gonna be a 40 45 point score game, and then the defense absolutely locked down.
Here's the thing.
Potential opponents for the Patriots in the playoffs.
The Houston taxes, the Baltimore Ravens, the Kansas City Chiefs, the Buffalo Bills and probably the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Five teams that the Patriots played this season.
Winner lose. It doesn't matter.
Anything you've done to the Patriots, you're now.
Bill's giving Bill Belichick a second time around.
You're given Josh McDaniels against defense This second time around, that changes things for the Patriots that changes things.
When you're facing the Patriots and this defense, they sort of kind of figured out.
Baltimore This defense sort of kind of figured out the Chiefs.
This defense, for the most part, had a pretty decent game against the Houston Texans, so I wouldn't be.
I wouldn't be too overly worried.
That's his defense is gonna get owned by any of these teams come the playoffs.
And then Reese talks about the biggest factor of all.
Quote the Belichick Brady factor in a one game playoff situation.
What better coach tohave leading the way than Bill Belichick? And what better quarterback than Tom Brady? End quote.
Do I even need to give an opinion on that? Do I even have to have explanation that this is the greatest quarterback coach combination in the history of the National Football League.
I obviously don't you know, I don't So why even explain that that statement alone is going to stand for itself? Like I said at the top of this, Reese gave reasons why the Patriots could have a repeat for the 2018 season and their eventual, you know, Super Bowl 54 win.
But he also laid out some reasons why they couldn't.
And I liked the article because of presented both sides of it right.
And Reese highlights a few reasons why the Patriots won't go all the way to the championship.
And you know, he was spot on with ****ysis.
But there was only really one glaring hole.
I think the Patriots could have heading into this home stretch in the playoffs, and it goes like this.
There aren't enough playmakers on offense or pass catchers who could consistently win one on one matchups to keep up in a high scoring game.
Opponents may have been devoting more resources to receiver Julian Edelman and stopping the run, and the Patriots have struggled to find a consistent counterpunch that brings back memories of the 2009 do***entary in Which ballot check noted how the Patriots were easy to defend if opponents put a safety over Randy Moss and doubled Wes Welker.
But the difference between the 2009 Patriots in the 2019 Patriots is that they did not have a defense like they have right now by 2009.
That's when that spectacular defense from 070605 started to dwindle down a little bit.
A retired guy started to move on.
So when you look at that, we don't need the patriotsoffense.
What the Patriots are going to get into a shoot out.
That's the whole day.
If the Patriots get into a shootout situation, they're gonna lose, I'll tell you that right now, that's not me being a hater. That's not been anything.
The Patriots not Tom Brady, but his weapons around him don't have the resources to get into a shoot out, but the defense won't allow it.
Build Ballot Shack, The de facto defensive coordinator won't allow it.
Trust me, the Patriots defense will not be getting into a shootout with.
I don't care if it's the Ravens Texas Chiefs.
Whoever you want to put on the board.
So, yeah, we could look at the patriotsoffense.
Theories were not together.
And if the defense falters, that could be.
It could be one and done.
I mean, let's be honest with ourselves.
It's not be delusional.
I know I'm a Homer.
I fully admit that I'm a Homer Patriot fan.
I fully admit that I look for the positive and everything because I refused to look negative on the six time Super Bowl champions.
I think people who are constant trashing the six time Super Bowl champions.
I'm not saying they're not fans, but I'm saying they're entitled fans.
But I understand the patrons don't have the offense of attitude.
They don't have the depth.
They don't have the testicular fortitude on offense besides Tom Brady, impossibly Julian Edelman and James White toe win a shootout.
So that is a whole.
But I think his defense is good enough.
No, this defense is great enough to cover for that, you know, moving on from all of this.
I remember last season when the Patriots defense was struggling, and I remember at that time it looked like they were gonna be the reason that the Patriots weren't going back to the Super Bowl now.
It was earlier in the season, but I remember it was probably around week for that Devin accordion Dont'a Hightower addressed the media, and basically they let the world know that they were ****ed.
They didn't call out anybody, you know? I mean, they didn't come out and call anybody out.
They didn't call somebody by name.
They just let the world No, that they were ****ed.
And this year, it seems to be the offenses turn to let the world know that they're ****ed and I have no beef and no problem.
With a ****ed off Patriots team and the cool Yang Nicole Yang from boston dot com, she wrote about the tension in the PATRIOTSLOCKER room this week.
Not a bad tension, Okay, not a bad tension with the tension in the Patriotslocker room, because maybe it's gonna take somebody else but Tom Brady getting ****ed off to get the team going.
You're just a couple of excerpts from what Nicole said.
What's the mood of the Patriots locker room after two straight losses? Quote.
Guys are an edge, wide receiver Phillip Dorsett said Monday.
We got guys that are angry.
I think everybody's disappointed.
Added linebacker Kyle Van Noy.
Sometimes you need to get a little mad.
Sometimes you need to get a little mad at yourself.
Sometimes you gotta look at the situation.
Put the blame squarely on your shoulders.
Take it like a man, get upset and get out there the next day.
Improve everybody wrong.
Get out there Sunday and destroy the Cincinnati Bengals.
Take out all your anger on the team that you're going to play.
Bring intensity to practice.
You know, we saw Tom Brady after wins. They're ****ed.
I love this reaction by door set.
I love this reaction by Kyle van Noy because when the Patriots lost to the Baltimore Ravens, what did we read on the Monday? It was all smiles in the Patriotslocker room.
Remember that Devin McCourty came out said, Well, it's not like we never lost a game before.
They just accepted a loss while they've lost three of their last five now, and I like a ****ed off patriotslocker room, not just a ****ed off Tom Brady, but a ****ed off patriotslocker room.
Hang on to that ball little tighter.
Tighten those gloves a little bit more, get a little angrier when you hit the line of scrimmage.
Get a little angry when you're blocking a guy on the line.
All those kind of little things can turn into focus.
Here's Wells, Langston said.
After lingering emotions from Sunday's dramatic loss of the Kansas City Chiefs, however, they were quickly replaced by a future focused mindset.
A popular reframe were on to Cincinnati has resurfaced as the team looks inward to assess what has gone wrong the past two weeks.
I think I said that yesterday, didn't I? This week.
The Patriots have to look within themselves.
They can't work out what? The chief's dead.
They can't look at what the taxes did.
Don't go watch the film and watch what the teams did to you.
Watch what you did.
Where did you miss a tackle? Where did you miss a drop? Where did you miss a pass? Brady, Where did you? Mr Receiver, where did we miss a block? What do we have to do? What do we have to do is as men Where do we have to stand up and show that we can get better? I'm telling you, it's getting there.
I like the anger Lang finishes with the way to move Fordice Simple, according to Van Noy Win on Sunday, he said with a smile.
The Patriots will have Tuesday off before returning to the practice to the practice field on Wednesday.
Echoing postgame remarks from Sunday, Vanoy endorse Set reiterated that the team just has to play better.
You got to come the practice Wednesday ready to fight, door, Set said.
That's that's what's got to be going.
That's what it's gotta be.
It's going to be a fight every week come Sunday.
Van Noy said he would like to see the team be aggressive for all 4/4.
The urgency has got to be turned up, a not, she said.
That's the message.
We want to have the urgency, not just one.
Our backs are up against it.
But 4th 60 minutes, ladies and gentlemen, is a reason that Kyle Van Noy is one of the leaders in the dressing room.
Door set may not be looked at as an official leader, but there's a reason that he's a veteran.
Both of these guys are Super Bowl champions.
Both of these guys have been through the adversity, and both of these guys know that you need to go.
The Patriots defense can't give up 20 points in the first half.
They know that Patriotsoffense knows they can't win scoring less than 20 each and every week.
That's proved it three times.
I like an angry Patriots team because everybody's for everybody's frustrated.
We know that the team is frustrated.
The coaches of frustrated.
We were frustrated.
If you guys watch my play by play of my post game, that's the most ****ed off.
I've been at this Patriots team all season.
Now it's not a burning hate like some other Patriot fans are sitting there saying their bums and their garbage and yada, yada yada.
But I was ****ed after that game.
I thought they were missing fight.
I thought that they were I don't know a lot of things, I said.
Tom Brady looked dejected.
I'm sure Tom Brady is happy to seize other teammates ****ed off and not just him, and we'll have to see how this translate to the football field now.
I said that yesterday that whatever they do in Cincinnati doesn't matter.
It's all about Buffalo.
The week after But now, reading this now seen what the feeling is like in the dressing room.
It does matter what they do against Cincinnati, and I don't care if since that his defense is decent, I don't care that they have a whole bunch of veterans on the team.
I really don't care.
I want to see any Dalton running for his life.
I want to see the Cincinnati Bengals defense crying when Tom Brady and the offenses torching them.
I want to see guys actually run the ball.
Speaking to running the ball is the perfect transition.
So pride of the chance to see the Chiefs game.
You know, we were discussing a lot of things, you know, and we're discussing what the Patriots needed to do in order, not just to beat the Chiefs, but improved the offense as a whole.
And it was all about getting that run game going.
We saw a drastic improvement from Sony Michelle against the Dallas Cowboys in the Houston Texans, you know, and even though it was, he was only given limited opportunity.
And to be honest, I could admit I was overly optimistic that Sony Michelle was finally breaking out, and I was overly optimistic because the reality is both Michelle and Rex Burkhead wet the bed against the Kansas City Chiefs, and they did nothing, nothing to get the run game going.
And it was frustrating as hell.
You know, Michelle didn't see the field after the first quarter, and I don't blame McDaniels at all for benching his ass.
Because in one of the biggest games of the season, when the Patriots were still fighting and still trying to be in the picture for the number one seed in the A F. C.
When the Patriots needed the run game toe work, he didn't perform so, after all, season of fighting it.
After giving every reason I could think of after reading Justin Tromp Beano from the musket fire today, I am now convinced that perhaps it's time for the Patriots not only activate but play Damian Harris.
Here's the trombone.
All had to say. Here's how he starts it offices.
Damian Harris was selected in the third round of the 2019 NFL draft 87th overall.
If the New England Patriots didn't have the expectations of using Harris or another additional running back this season, then why draft him in that high? To begin with, the team could have benefited greatly from drafting another wide receiver or tight end in the first round Instead.
Now I've talked about that.
The death. This year.
It's not uncommon for a Patriots rookie running back to sit in a year.
Sony Michelle was the only one, and I hate when people are like, Well, why? What made Soni Michelle special? What made him different than teaming Harris? Well, the difference with Sony Michelle was a first round draft pick.
Damian Harris With the third.
There's there's a big discrepancy there.
You draft a first round draft pick to be ready this season.
1/3 round could be a project, but I agree with him at some 0.2.
We've watched the running game struggle this year.
Demon Harris has gotten two games.
They were both against the New York Jets, and he did fumble the ball, which is gonna put you in the doghouse with Bill Belichick.
We've seen guys cut over fumbles, but I agree you got this guy.
He's an Alabama product.
He's, you know, he's a next saving guy.
Maybe for the Rutgers you get a chance.
I don't know, and I'm not mad at ballot check.
But I think after the way things have transpired lately, maybe maybe Sony Michelle needs to feel some heat with Damian Hairs behind him.
Maybe Rex Burkhead, who I believe Damian Hairs was there to replace, needs to feel some heat behind them to start moving, finish up a trombone, know how to say what he has more.
But he said, Sony Michelle has run for 653 yards in six touchdowns this season while getting snaps in all 13 games.
He's averaging 3.
5 yards per carry, which is a full yard per carry, less than he had average in his rookie season in 20 18.
There have been some obvious issues in the run attack this season, but that's more of an issue with the offensive line than anything.
James White has been all reliable for the Patriots in season when it comes to the running backs, and Tom Brady knows he can trust White and he'll target him 11 times in a game, just like he would another wide receiver.
It just seems hard to believe there aren't any available opportunities for Harris, although we had that one fumble, the key point of keeping.
And, you know, an undrafted rookie free agent gonna Roche s key was to help preserve Julian Edelman and relieve him of some of the dirty work regarding special teams in the return game.
Mohammed Sunu hasn't done much in this area since he got off to a hot start Upon his arrival to the New England Patriots, Seenu was brought in to help provide Brady in the offense.
Some firepower, though primarily not be used as a punt returner.
Unfortunately, it's the newest dropping a lot of passes in the chemistry between him and Brady seems to be off right now.
Maybe there is a spot for Damon.
Here's maybe he can return the ball, and Trump, you know, gives a good explanation of why he can and why he should.
Maybe he can return the ball, maybe work his way into the game, use him in Brandon Bolden, maybe take up, you know, maybe just maybe take some pressure off the Sony Michelle.
I mean what Rex Burkhead doing? Why not make him inactive? It's not like he's been a difference maker.
If he hasn't been hurt, he's really been ineffective on the field.
So why not give Damian Harris an opportunity? Why not get Brandon Bolden some more opportunities? You know, now here's where Trump.
You know when I Well, you'll see.
At this point, the New England Patriots have nothing to lose by giving Hair some extra touches in any conceivable way.
He would be an excellent addition to the already great special teams for the Patriots and could feature predominantly as a punt slash kick returner.
Bolden will still be the kick returner.
It would also give him the experience needed to run the ball in the NFL, paving the way for his ascension to a 33 down back if and when, If and when Sony Michelle doesn't work out, and that's where me and Ciampino completely went in separate directions.
That's when I looked at a guy who writes for musket fire and thought you should not be writing for musket fire, how you could sit back and say that, And if and when, when Sony Michelle fails, that really ****ed me off.
That's exactly what me and Trump, you know, just split.
I agree with that.
I agree with them that give Damien hair some opportunity, give him some chance to run the ball, give him that opportunity.
What could it hurt Right now? I think he's better than Rex Perkins.
But if and when Sony Michelle fails, you know, it's one thing I think sometimes for haters to talk about.
But I hate when this so called Patriots media like they want things to happen.
What? Because you like Damian Harris.
You want Sony Michelle to fail? We can look at these two guys and say, Hey, man, I hope that they can work collectively together, maybe build up one of the best back fields in the NFL.
There's our future.
When Tom Brady retires, it's gonna be Ah, hard nose run game led by Jared stayed m handing off the ball.
The Sony Michelle and theme here is no, you're saying if and when he fails.
Come on, June, Come on.
But yeah, at this point, don't the Patriots just start Damian hairs? Give him the opportunity, I don't know.
And guys, that is all I have left for my pre planned cripple of the chat has been active tonight.
Every time I look over, look at that all over the place.
Thank you for everybody who's in here.
Thank you, Very.
Who's chatting along? Joe Stew? Rhino.
Bobby, that barn guy.
I saw him in here.
I don't know if he's still here. I saw Garrido shake.
I saw Gabriel popping.
How'd the coal crew in here tonight? Anthony's in here.
What's going on, guys? Thank you for coming in and thank you for tuning in to the show.
I hope that for the 1st 40 minutes you were somewhat entertained and let's see what Joe has to say.
I asked last night if Andrews in Cannon have been carrying Mason didn't catch the answer.
Don't think I answered it, Joe.
Um oh, Stu's here, too.
It's long, but, um, no, I don't think they were, Especially last year.
Cannon had a bad season last year.
You know, this has been a real bounce back from Marcus Cannon this year when you look at it so I don't think that they carried shack Mason.
I don't know what's up with Mason this year.
I don't know if people have figured it sometimes is just people figure out if anybody carried him was David Andrews.
You know that I can, that I can concede to you.
If he was being carried last season, maybe David Andrews wouldn't be.
Markets can cause I was frustrated.
Markets can last year because he didn't have the greatest years.
He's been much better this season.
Um, I don't know, like I'm looking at Shack Mason, but I started, so I watched the tapes a championship game the other night.
As you guys know, by the way, I will be, hopefully on Saturday, doing the watch along, looking at the Bangles game and trying to see something that I can pick apart for the Patriots.
Something I wish I would've started week one.
I'm not sure which Bengal games I want to use, yet I want to try to find an offense is more similar, and during at least a defense, it's similar to the Patriots.
But it was when I watched anyways back to question when I watch it h c championship game shock.
Mason look good.
His footwork was good.
He was quick. He was fast.
I don't know if he gained weight this year.
Um, so yeah, it's Ah, that's the one use their best offensive out in the I got to it.
I don't think that's their win.
They had a couple of good out.
They had a couple of close games at the beginning of the season.
I also gotta figure out who's starting.
I still have been able to confirm if it's Andy Dalton or the other dude, so I'll keep looking at Dada's.
Well, Ronald's been working hard.
Ah, a guy talking about Sony.
And you know what? John Beano is usually Trump, you know, and I are on the same page and we'll agree with a lot of the same stuff, but ah, yeah, I know.
He struck a chord with me on that one.
It's funny because I was his whole article, though, that his last line was if and when Sony.
Michelle doesn't work out.
I thought you son of a But he's been critical on Sony Michelle all year, but he hasn't hasn't been at the same time, and I don't know he's got this weird like love hate for Sony Michelle, but he's a pretty talented writer.
I just Yeah, I was kind of surprised by it.
And yeah, and I wasn't expecting from Trump.
You know, of all people.
Ah, Glad to see that people are off the A B train.
Some people are.
I'm not off the A B train either.
And I want hotel, too.
I have much rather have bowed out back in junior then Antonio Brown.
But it ain't happening this year.
I think Hines Ward right now and his current condition, you know? Um yeah, but no, I'm not.
I'm not off the high off the A B train.
I know that, Ryan.
When I don't see eye to eye on it.
That's okay. We're still boys.
You can still live in Australia.
One day I'm gonna bring him on live.
So we could just debate Antonio Brown and I can You can make fun of my Canadian accent.
I can make fun of his Australian accent.
We could have a good old time.
Did Rhino just say sign him? Did Ryno just say sign? Antonio Brown Did it take last week's game? The finally convinced him another guy who can catch the ball.
Wow! Ah, Joe, I hate love bats.
Hebei drink Molson Canadian man.
That's what all we can argue.
But I like fosters too, So I don't think I'm gonna I'm not gonna argue beer with them Australian, Canada, our two countries and understand their beer.
You don't like Molson's? They're owned by cores.
Now I like Bud Light.
I like Pilsners.
I like anything that has a I like anything that has a alcohol content that's made with some sort of barley.
Oh, what kind of beer do you drink? I know you're working.
I know you're working hard.
So I had a Sam Adams for my first time last summer when I was in Rochester.
We're at this steakhouse in ah, down in Texas.
We don't have I don't see Sam Adams down here.
It's a thick beer.
It's good, but it's a thick.
I had the It was a brown.
I'm No, they're all Brown was a dark, though.
Yeah, more. And I think it was.
My daughter had a burger with $25 for a hamburger.
Wasn't it? Wasn't sheep.
I know that, but it was good It was a good place.
Maybe wasn't Morton's.
It was a steakhouse.
It was really close to a church.
Morin is expensive than it was. Probably Morton's.
Yeah, I was experiencing is all hell, but Ah, but I had a Sam I bought had a Sam Adams, and I had a dark as I thought It was good.
It was thick, though.
I'm not a fan of Guinness.
To be honest with you, it's Ah, I've had it.
I've tried a warm I've tried to call that Tried it every different way.
I'm not a big fan of Guinness.
Um, blonde Guinness.
I might have to try it.
Yeah, man, I, uh I just like beer.
I just Sometimes I go to the liquor store.
I don't You guys have those.
We have the man's called the El CBO's wheels up beer stores to the just sell beer.
But we go to the liquor store and I just grabbed like a case, and I just I like tall boys and I just tried, like, all different things.
I like a lot of imports as well girls.
Ah, Stella Lowenbrau adapts that kind of stuff.
I don't mind those those European imports.
The only thing I'm really not into, even though I imagined before was, um, not die big in the I P s.
Some of them are. Okay.
Ifyou I drink more of a blonde and a light, I've been like, You know what? I've been liking orange beers lately.
That of orange in them.
Ah, Bud makes an orange beer.
That's really good.
I've never had support.
You know what? To me.
It's really It's kind of funny.
Um, Blue moon ought to try that.
What's really funny when it comes to beer for me, it actually depends on what I'm doing.
What I'm eating Not gonna think like on a heart, Unlike, ah, heart Sunny Day I love a Coors light A little bit watery.
You what? I mean, I find it just quenches my throat or my my thirst a little better.
You know, um, outside, working in the backyard, Ever have a couple Coors lights? That's kind of my thing.
If I'm eating dinner, I sort of like an import like a Stella or a Heineken or something. that nature.
Then, like after dinner from this chilling out, having a couple beers with the boys or something.
Then that's what I'm looking for.
A nice lager, like a Sam Adams or Canadian or or that kind of thing or, you know, sipping orange beer, which I call my dessert on dis, obviously, before I get into my into my rum.
So, um, in Australia, we don't care as long as they come in twos and they're cold to you want to? You want to? Everybody has to, Right? Raina win, checked out Danny Boy and saw exactly I was talking about.
He does a great Ozzy accent and, uh, well, and he also he has a joke, and I think to and says you'll never see an Italian guy with two drinks in his hands and because, you know, how would they talk, right? It's, uh, I was in here talking about beer, and I'm drinking water is driving me crazy.
Anybody who came in here to listen to Patriots takas well's probably just sitting there going Why the hell, um, and how bad is Cincinnati's defense? There's Joe.
Let's go look at the D v o day Devi away.
That's my first look.
Always before even get into stuff.
I haven't done any scouting yet.
My skeleton will start lightly tomorrow, and we'll get deeper as the week goes on.
Maybe that's it may not actually start tomorrow.
I'm doing a live stream with Kiss the rings.
Finally, um, so it may not be till the next day.
Let's look at the team defense here.
Let's see where Cincinnati is ranked.
I find that this gives us one of the better looks to rank 30th in the league.
They're the 30th past defense in the 28th ranked rushing defense.
They're just ahead of Oakland in Miami.
So this should be a game that the Patriots are easy to beat up on them.
Aw, no, no excuses, Joe.
Totally, totally useless.
It's called Ryan, too, but it rained in the Garden, rid of all the snow.
So yeah, Ryan was complaining that it's it's a hot day.
I think we should all just Ah, yeah, I'm saying, with you, Bobby, it's all mud here now.
****ed rain for two days melted all the snow, and it's all mud.
Accept because I didn't travel my driveway up to snowstorms because I just I don't do that.
Ah, I have four wheel drive, and I just drive through it all.
My wife does the same.
I just have, like, my entire neighborhood is now Snow freaks of my driveway.
This has this layer of ice that won't go away because I let it grow.
So thick fur, not shoveling My neighbors hate me.
I don't cut my grass either.
I'm that neighbor.
Like the grasses.
Like halfway to my knee.
I go out there and cut it, and I don't have a lot more time. I broke my lawnmower.
I've been cutting it with a weed whacker for two years.
I don't even carry You don't understand.
I don't even give a ****.
You know, people look at me and I'm just like you struck it thumb.
Look, I got things to do.
I got a full time job in 1/2 a full time job, I guess would be a part time job doing this.
Ah, the sports stuff.
So yeah, it is what it is.
That's exactly what it is, man.
Mariah, you don't understand, man.
Can we drink a lot of beer and have fun? You get over my grass, you get over it quickly.
As much as the neighbors want to hate me, I'm just too fun to hate.
Yeah, but I'm a good guy. That's the thing.
Rhino, your old neighbor didn't shovel the driveway like it snows in Australia.
Come on, I know you're talking about.
I know what you're talking about.
I know what you're talking about.
We should all just moved Australia right now.
How did you become a football fan in general? I got even carry became a Patriots fan.
How did you become a football fan? Is it shown regularly over there or talked about, or are you played? Buy an island, so I'm just I'm rolling in the money, man.
I am rolling in the money.
I can't even afford a stitch.
Jersey. I had to buy an iron on.
I went to high school in Oregon.
Oh, really? That way you're a duck's fan.
So is that the one year you played was an old four.
What brought you to the States for one year, just like was in exchange or something like that.
Is it cold in Oregon is a warm and Oregon.
I'm Canadian guys. Don't get upset with me.
Look has choked on my water.
My teammates made me choose Ah, team for the Super Bowl, and I chose correctly had a boy, not a boy.
Ah, so the odds he played is football like Big and Australia Like how many people watching us? Tracy, however, versus like, I'm not even taking questions where I'm asking the questions now.
Like, if I were to go to a pub on a Sunday afternoon, would they be watching for not a Sunday afternoon whatever time? Three.
In the morning, whenever the games are on wood.
But they'd be watching football.
Well, he's lucky that the patron, the Super Bowl that year think about him.
He could have been a Tennessee Titans fan.
There's a falling, but most Aussies hated two too slow.
That's cause you guys play.
That's too slow.
Your cricket is exciting.
Isn't football faster than cricket? Cricket matches take three days, Ozzy.
Real football is insane of support.
You watch the background, Ozzy rule football's insane rugby is crazy.
They're not crazy.
Rugby's rugby's a fast game.
We have Ah, we just Well, we're pretty big.
Rugby is getting bigger here in Toronto because we just ah, we just qualified for It's not the Premier League.
It's the can't remember what the hell lead there was qualified for because they won the ah, it's the drone.
A wolf pack that's our professional team and they play League Football club from the league Football club, black and white Lamport Stadium in Toronto Super League.
Well, I came first in the Super League and they qualified for something because of that.
I cannot remember now.
It is Super League.
Yes, they were talking about on the radio and say, Now he's a Christian and doesn't drink anymore.
Otherwise we would have loved him.
Canadian radio this time of year is the same as it is every part of the year.
It's like the B league.
I know that it's the ah, the building to the Premier Li.
What I heard is the Premier League is a snobby league and the the ah, the Super League is like the working class league.
If I understand correctly.
So I watch international rugby.
That's all we used to get here also, like sevens, like the Watch Sevens and was back to Joe's.
I see we're talking sports radio, hockey, hockey, hockey, hockey, hockey and ah, middle of July.
Blue Jays air on on a push.
You know, the Blue Jays were on a run there, you know, in a playoff spot in July.
And they're talking about the Toronto made police the Toronto Raptors when the n b A championship.
And they're talking about the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The next morning after the Raptor won the championship, I'm on my way to work.
Listen to the fan 5 90 which are our sports station here.
And ah, yeah, I live in Toronto right now, but in Canada my whole life, man.
And, ah, I'm Dr on my way to work.
Raptor won the championship the night before, and all they're talking about the next morning is if this is the reaction the Raptors got, imagine what it's gonna be like if the Leafs win the Stanley Cup.
I'm just like, Why are we talking about Harkey? Why are we talking about hockey Like in June or July whenever the Raptors one the champ June when the Robbers won the championship.
But a team that got knocked out of the playoffs in the first round? Why is this a discussion like, Oh, it's insane.
It's just it's just it's insane.
And, ladies and gentlemen, mostly gentlemen, that hits the hour mark, and that seems the perfect place to end the show today.
Let me leave you with this guys.
This week is obviously going to be one of those weeks.
If you're Patriots fan, you know, if I didn't do this show if I didn't have a YouTube channel, I probably would have stayed off Twitter. This week.
The Patriots and Tom Brady are going to be questioned all week with Nick Rights and Max Kellerman's and Shannon Sharpe's With World.
They're gonna have their moment in the Sun Chiefs fans are gonna have a field day and can't wait to play the Patriots again in the playoffs.
I mean, they're not the first fan base to set themselves up for disappointment, and perhaps the kingdom needs to be careful what they wish for.
I won't forget all their video makers crying the blues after the Patriots ****ed on their front lawn last year, and things may not be looking good right now for the Patriots.
But when will people learn not to bet against Brady and Belichick? This week goes on more, more people will claim that the Patriots are cheaters.
And you know, at this point, I think we need to destruct our shoulders, put her head down and move on.
Engaging with trolls on Twitter does nothing but feed their precious online ego that doesn't exist in real life.
Never forget the cooler.
You are on Twitter, the mawr.
In real life, you're probably sucks.
And if you have to resort to online bullying, you're gonna make me feel more sorry for you than getting upset or mad about your ridiculous statement.
A SportsCastr who gives me the opportunity to do this show each and every day.
Ah, thank you for giving the opportunity.
The Patriots played by Ray on Sundays and Thursdays, and whatever their plane, I truly believe that SportsCastr is the future of online sports, blogging and streaming.
And as the bugs get worked out and it gains more popularity, all of you right now we'll be able to say that you were here before it was cool.
Thank you to football fans, sports fans and especially Pats Nation and Patriots fans who take the time to watch my stuff each and every day.
It's because of you guys that I'm not just a fat, crazy Patriots fans screaming at the Internet with all that being said, Thank you so much for tuning in.
Take care, You're welcome thehe.
