huh? I mean, is, um something a minute.
Huh? Huh? I need a fish.
It was a bomb in there about Yeah, honey.
I'm not using apple pay.
Imagine giving Apple my money.
They've already got it.
All right, All right.
What's that? What's that? What's that? One of Kendrick.
I'm gonna give it a buy one more minute before I get started.
And then Ah, we'll talk about a few things here.
Do they already have? They probably don't.
They probably don't.
Nine million here. Always going to see this.
Want My cat is off the pack right now.
All right? Cool.
I didn't expect I didn't expect over the cap.
Have this updated.
Not a big deal for one wrong thing.
We go to go to free agency.
All right? Cool.
Yeah, they haven't invented yet.
All right, cool. Cool.
Uh, make us give it one more minute.
So, folks, in coming here, I'm gonna talk about who is Stacy McGee.
Ellie, uh, we talked about this man.
Jack Thompson's Jack Thompson's.
His contract extension and the money he got.
And I'm gonna touch on, um, exactly what that means for roster construction and what that means for people like people like, uh, James Bradberry.
Uh, Cam, Many were mainly Look how it figures health.
Al Cam's contract figures into all this.
So So yeah, we'll be okay.
Uh, but I'll get one more minute, actually.
But it's been, like, what? It's been three minutes.
Yeah, it's all right now.
I've been noticing that, like, my stream usually gets people in here around like the four minute mark.
I got a lot of games they don't have. Like, I don't have a schedule.
I have a real schedule.
And so if I talk about things right when I start sometime, soon will come in and ask something like that I talked about.
So just give it a 10 minutes for a start, anyway.
Anyway, uh, So Shaq Thompson, as most you guys already know Jack Thompson earlier today around, I think two o'clock.
What a march in Oh, March and Champ March and Chip.
Much odd marksmanship.
Marshawn, Is that French? Oh, no.
What's that? Don't match the fall, bro.
Um, thanks. Alex.
Cabot should be better.
Uh, so basically, as you guys know, earlier today, around one or two, it was announced that Shack Thompson kind of out of the blue.
Actually, Jack Thompson got extended before the next four years.
That's great. That's big.
Bet you a $1,000,054 million.
60 million dollars signing bonus and 28 million guaranteed.
Uh, it can go up to 57 million.
That's interesting to me in a number of reasons.
Number since, uh, for one, is not the biggest thing.
Nice is the number one, but one thing is it's only 28 million guaranteed for a $54 million contract.
Which to me, if I'm doing the math right on this one, it sounds like it's $14 million a year so or around their 14 to 14 is 28.
Then time times that by two for four years is about 56.
So that sounds about right for the $54 million for the full contract and then very little money in love.
In In what's it called incentives? I mean, for 54 57 that's less than $30 million incentives.
So it seems like that is saying, Look, you're gonna get the base salary, which is still big money, but we trust you enough.
Uh, any assistance we can give you? You're probably gonna hit.
So I'm gonna give you this money no matter what.
Basically, But this seems more like a two year deal where the 1st 2 years are guaranteed and the two back end.
Ah, he'll make his money if he's on the team, but they won't have their It won't be a huge, like dead dead cap hit.
If you were to be cut after the 1st 2 years, That's the way I'm interpreting.
How the money works here, how it's going to be, uh, prorated over the four years.
So it's a lot of money.
It's elite linebacker money with a very team friendly out 21st of all.
First of all, this is where the NFL's ****ed up.
This is where the NFL will never be as good as the MBA.
You talk about ratings, whatever it is, Super Bowl, all of you, the bigger of the two.
Because one of the only one game in the finals is a seven game series.
But as long as NFL players have have a contract, that says one number, but they're only guaranteed a different number, usually around around 52 like 65% of what the bigger number is it? No, it will never be taken seriously.
Like it's kind of sad, bro.
That's kind of sad.
It's very sad that these dudes you you hear $54 million contract, but just a little bit over 50% of that is actually going to be going to this man.
He's taken on Lee really bank on 28 million.
Which sounds weird when you say on Lee 28.
But it is on Lee 28.
When is compared to a 54.
Um, that's just the kind of aside here about the numbers for the NFL.
But as far as Jack Thompson goes, this is what is out of money.
Um, very motors.
Our money right here, Mrs.
Not only awarding good good stats, good play solid play for the last four or five years.
Um, look, you shouldn't even very solid from I want to say his rookie season.
It wasn't late again on the opportunity to serve the season, although he did play 14 games, he had 48 tackles.
Wasn't really big numbers, but he did a lot better work in 2016 and 17 and 18.
Look, this 1st 3 years didn't have a ton of tackles, but he was a monster.
And coverage check Thompson that way.
I think we all remember the story from two years ago about how Captain Munnerlyn walked out of a privacy act.
Yamaichi's like cousin people out.
It wasn't as he walked out practice.
He was getting like, disrespectful ****, like talking, talking some crazy **** because he was being left out of nickel packages.
The team wasn't running nickel packages as much because Shac Thompson was a better was better in coverage.
Then Captain Munnerlyn and let's be real.
I mean, the man was just mad about the truth.
Captain Munnerlyn was not getting and he wasn't.
He wasn't good in coverage.
A lot of that year, I think it was 2017 $19.
Nothing was 18 actually, but and that's why I say that he was so bad that our next best guy was shocked, Thompson, that we had really shocked Thompson.
Shock is a good coverage linebacker.
I think he doesn't get enough credit for how good he is in coverage.
But look, look, lt looks actually a good coverage Linebacker he doesn't know was where he says he's so smart that he knows where all the routes are gonna be.
It's like he's really reacting in real time.
Look, just knows things before they happen.
So he has an unfair advantage that he worked for.
It's a fair man because he is not.
He's cheating, but he just knows where everyone's gonna be before they do.
So we just happened to be there before them.
I think Shack actually has.
He doesn't have the same football.
Ikey was Luke, but he has.
He has better, I guess, natural just just natural, uh, covered skills that worked out well for him.
So we can we can really be in the 43 without the gold nickel as often would be good if we had a good slot corner.
But Shack works really well, not just in run support, but in ah past support as well.
But the big thing here is not.
It's not that past game has covered skills.
Jack Thompson is.
He has 93 tackles on the year and he's on Lee.
What is only 12 is only 12 games into the season.
We still have four more games, and he's almost at 100.
Ah, Luke just cracked 100.
Very, very recently.
I think Jack Thompson might still be very, very high.
Like top 20 I think, in the league.
At one point he was he was top 10.
At one point, he was top 10.
But I think he's kind of up there right now.
I want to go and look right.
Right now City, where he ranks in tackles.
Actually, Luke came down.
Thomas Davis is 14 with 96 Shaq Thompson is 18.
So we have two players way Have three players in the top 20 and tackles.
We have Luke at seven.
We have we have air.
Tight with Thomas Davis.
And we have Shaq Thompson at 18 with 93 So, yeah, we have two guys here who are who All these guys locked up.
Yeah, we have looks awfully locked up.
Agreed this past off see them and Shack is in the top 20.
That's great for us, that actually, well, force.
And that's gonna be important because even though we are 29th in the league in and run defense and it's bad, it's horrible.
We are one of the honestly, we should be the worst.
We should be the absolute worst because the teams below us have bad players, Right? See, sometimes you have bad staff.
Sometimes it's bad.
Players is sometimes bad plating, sometimes bad coaching.
But we have a good players with.
I would have called it a decent to average coaching.
Not good enough, but not horrible, really.
That is making bad plays very consistent like this.
They don't know where to be.
They don't know what to do.
Biggest had actually is bad play.
It's just bad play.
These guys are not wrapping up godliness, missing tackles a lot, but the thing is even less being 29th in the league and run defense.
Imagine where we would be without Shack Thompson.
If we had a league replacement on an average of an average middle linebacker instead of Jack Thompson, it will be a much different thing there.
So It was very smart for the team, no matter really what his His debts are great, but even they were less than they actually were like, you know, they just were not on the same level of elite top 20 in the league elite kind of stats, you know, they're like top 40 ish, even top fifties.
I think you still have to pay him.
Maybe not this much, but you would have him either way because anyone you replace them with, honestly, with the money that we have on the books probably would have given us the same kind of production that we're seeing at a Shack Shack is an extremely important part off this team moving forward.
He'll also be an important part.
So obviously I know I think we all understand what shacks role is here in that shack did deserve the money.
There's a little bit of talk about Maybe he got overpaid.
Maybe, um, maybe maybe he shouldn't have gotten so much money.
Look, it's hard for me to say guys get overpaid cause I don't know what they're going to get paid.
We know for a fact she'll be He's on the team for at least two years, and I'll get at least $28 million.
It's hard for me to say guys getting overpaid based off the max amount of money in the contract.
Because Dude's contracts the NFL contracts are so bad they could literally be anywhere in the range of their guaranteed money and the next up the contract allows for.
So it's hard for me to actually say if he's getting overpaid or not.
I guess what the You can only really judge if guys are getting overpaid.
If one, they have a lot of guaranteed money to begin the contract, they weren't worth it.
Like Landon Collins, Lehman Collins for the Redskins was not worth the money he got.
He was not even that great for the for the Giants.
But the rescue Not really good at overpaying players in the secondary.
Panthers fans should know that very, very well.
Whatever you demand or you too often what our galaxy, Um I mean, they have two guys on the roster now who underperform and they're getting paid.
Big bucks hold up and they're getting paid the big bucks.
Um, that's on them, but it's really hard for me.
I read a couple of these articles asking about whether he got overpaid.
I don't know, man it It depends on how willing plays in the 1st 2 years, and if he's still on the team after those 1st 2 years, I just don't know what to actually expect.
It's just saying 28 million for two years.
That's not over pay.
But if he plays bad those 1st 2 years and he stays in the back two years as well, then maybe.
But my only thing is you had to pay Shack Thompson.
But that reduce my next point, the point I really want to make here on.
And that is, and that is Ah, James Bradberry.
James Bradberry is one of the players that's gonna be awful.
Roger, one of the most important players who has an expiring contract this season off the guys who who aren't just one year guys like Joe McCoy was obviously important, you know, uh, you know, guys like Bruce Irvin, who have not been as important trade.
Boston's been been pretty good.
He's really even I solid.
Even I slashed solid for us out there, not lose.
We lose games, don't be wanting of our games.
But, um, but not bet not.
I want to say, uh, you know, some other guys who are on the team who are one year deals leaving them off this man, James Bradberry, is probably, I would say he's even more important than then Jack Thompson in a vacuum.
But in the context of how our defense is getting gassed in the run, the first thing about football is look the most teams.
It's about running the ball and stopping the run.
We can run the ball, but we cannot stop the run.
Does the science Jack Thompson.
The next thing is, uh, even without it being in a vacuum in the context of where our team is in the NFC South, almost east.
I I wish I prayed.
God, we were in the NFC East.
There was how I wish we could just get a realignment.
One day it's gonna realignment.
I don't care which to take out, Take out any time you want to.
I don't even care about us playing the rescue of a year or playing the Giants of year.
Let us replace one of those two teams and give us the heart teams, the hard teams like the Cowboys or the Eagles.
I would love to be in the NFC East, but us being in the NFC South when you're guaranteed six games a year versus three of the top, you can say top 10.
But you can make an argument that all of these guys are top five receivers.
We talk about Julio Jones.
He's obviously in the top five.
You have to put in the top five.
I mean, at the very, very worst.
Michael Thomas is the sixth best receiver in the game, and you have to argue that hard.
I mean, you, Michael Thomas is definitely the best in the game.
And then you have deal.
If Mike Evans, Mike Evans on a good team that Mike Evans, even with Jameis Winston being is being his quarterback, Mike Evans is still pretty pretty **** good.
Mike Evans knew Moustapha quick because Max Evans has still been a very, very good receiver every year.
Yeah, he already has 1000 yards.
He's actually in his six years in the league.
Mike Evans has never not not 1000 yards 10 51 is first year 12 622,500 I did not know that Michael Mike Evans got 1500 yards on 86 receptions.
God to him, 18 yard for reception.
And he has a gun is 1000 this year.
So with four games left, I mean, he's he's guaranteed to crack.
I'm probably 13 50 probably 1400.
He's an 1100 right now.
He'll probably get two around 1400 this year.
You have to deal with three guys twice a year who are arguably all top five receivers in the game.
You might be able to argue one of them to six, maybe seven.
But there's no way it you're gonna argue all these guys as top five receivers in the game, and there's no way you're gonna play defense with the replacement level corner, right? Like I think about the guys are a team right now.
Their tick Tick off James Bradberry.
There's Dante Jackson, Ross Cop Rule, who the other corners J.
D and Elliot Corn Elder, You want Look, I know this time talk.
There's no reason to even go past Ross ****erel.
You got Ross ****erel on Dr Jackson.
Can Dante Jackson guard ex receivers? No, Dr Jackson consistently guard the Z receiver, the guy on the left.
That's the second best receiver.
Dante is a guy who it's kind of weird.
Dante will never be a bad corner because he's so athletic.
Dante's one of the fastest players in the NFL right now.
At this very second, he's you say top three top three for and then you're not.
You can say he's definitely top three.
Fastest receiver in the game.
That's a big thing that people don't really get much respect for.
We know he can run, but he can actually jump pretty high as well.
Very high as well.
Um, uh, So so this man, this man, Dr Jackson, is a physical.
Frankly, do this do this.
He's he's gifted.
But the biggest thing about him is he cannot play in coverage.
The dude one of the biggest things that was in his in his, uh, his scouting report, his file.
What people talking about coming out of college coming into the draft, Dante Jackson can get tricked by the quarterback, often early and often.
They said, that he likes to stay in the backfield, tries toe tries to.
It's hard to say it, but tries to be a little bit smarter than he really is.
He gets caught looking at things in the backfield, and he could easily get caught.
Um, defending grass.
He gets caught defending space.
And then you see this man past him.
He gets be kind of a lot, and he's able to.
Sometimes I say even usually catch back up because he's so fast you're gonna get has make up speed.
But the thing is, he'd have much better place if he actually just played.
Was assignment was he's so fast and so rapidly, so athletically gifted that if he had the coverage skills, you have actual covered skills would just stands assignment.
He would have so many more picks as someone more passes, defended, because it's you, really, you really can't.
You really can't beat him.
You're not going around this man up for the most part, and and he already plays off coverage.
We were having him play like a good 5 to 7 yards off the line of scrimmage.
His rookie season.
We've done that a few times, semi, often this year, but not nearly as often as we were last year.
Uh, Dr Jackson, I'm making this a long point about James.
Bradburn is important to the team.
I want to drive it home that Jay's Bradbury is literally the only cornerback on our team that we can consistently trust.
He's not bad, but he's not horrible, but he's showing e days.
Bradbury's the only guy on the team who can even consistently cover his man, let alone deal with ex receivers, let alone deal with ex receiver's name Julio Jones, Mike Evans and Michael Thomas for six games out of the 16 at your team plays in an NFL season.
And it and it would be one thing, right.
It will be one thing if you have a deal with Julio Mike Evans and Michael Thomas six times a year, and they had Baker this year throwing to him.
If they had guys like, uh, they had Marcus Mariota going to them if they had, uh, Josh, Alice little bit better.
But still, if I had a Josh Alan or Sam Darnold going to them, you have to do with Drew Brees.
Matt Ryan in a Jamis Winston who? You never know what you're gonna get you might get.
You might get 250 yards, but four interceptions Jamie's or you might get 40 50 yards, five touchdowns.
Jamis with no interceptions.
You never know you, you literally never know.
And honestly, Dre misses the kind of player who you might get four touchdowns interceptions for 4 50 that might be enough to win a game for you.
James is this is one of those quarterbacks where he can mess up a lot and still win sometimes.
But hell, if you have a defense, think if you don't have a guy James Bradberry out there, Jamis Winston can make mistakes and still win games, especially with Mike Evans there.
I mean, especially with everything about what the space, Who's there, who's newsy.
It's Mike Evans and, ah, who's that other dude Chris Colin with Chris Gotland There, bro Chris got one is also a very good It's like a a bee doo doo situation there where if you shut down one, if you roll your coverage too hard over to Mike Evans, then alright, this Chris Guy one.
Same thing with Atlanta role.
You're covered. Hold on, Julio. Too much.
There's Colin, Really.
And Calvin's cooked us at least two times that.
I remember he may have witnessed 1/3 time, but I think it's only been two, which on Lee being two of his three.
I mean, the numbers, the numbers don't work out so good, but, uh, other than that, I mean, I took 20 minutes to explain just just how how should we are without James Bradberry? So my point about James Bradberry is you signed Jack Thompson tow cover.
A huge problem with defending against the run.
The other problem is who was gonna cover these Ely receivers in our division who are getting passes thrown to them by elite quarterbacks or one elite quarterback? One very, very good quarterback.
One quarterback do Any given Sunday might be leaked or might be the worst quarterback in the league, depending on how things work.
But it's very hard to get picks.
I'm Jamis Winston when you don't have a good corners.
Jamis Westernism e he He could be a guy who makes bad decisions, but we'll have someone who can actually make him pay for the bad decisions, then it doesn't matter.
And I promise you, Mike Evans is good enough that if you don't have a gun I James Bradberry at least like James Bradberry, it don't matter who's on them.
Don't matter who stole the ball to him.
He gonna get it Simple is that, um So the bigger point about this is that if you want to maintain any semblance of having good coverage, good defense against the past and the run you can on Lee, you'll have half that done right now.
But if you sign James Bradberry and if you look at James Bradberry stats for the past couple of years or you're not gonna stats if you look at what his role is on this team, how important was on the team like I just got his spit last half hour hour and 1/2 outlining for you.
He's he's worth the money.
He's worth the money over the past four years, been in the league.
He's always had double digit passes defended.
He has nine so far in the 11 games he's played.
If he steps on the field one more time he'll get double digits last year.
You have 15 past defended you before that the last two years for that yet. 10.
He's not really an interception.
How'd he only had five his 1st 3 years? But he has three so far this season and even said before the season even started.
He said he wants to make sure he gets more pixels to focus more on picks this year, and he's already matched his total for the last two years combined.
Um, and he could have.
You probably end up with four or five, I guess.
He James Bradberry, ending up with four or five when I was surprised by that at all.
Even if it's just for that still good so far, 52 tackles that it's not really super his job to do that.
James Bradberry is still very solid.
But the thing about the thing about James Bradberry is if you let him walk right now, you let James Bradberry walk or you let him get to the to the postseason or Apple is to the off season when other teams can bid on him.
We know what our cap room are cast, which is looking like our cap situation is not the greatest.
It's not the greatest, but, uh, but there are other teams in the league who need a corner whose cap situation is better than ours, and they really wouldn't mind picking them up.
We've seen we've seen guys.
We've seen teams overpaid for certain positions.
We could seize a team over pay for days, Bradbury and honestly, it's not like you have to go pretty **** high toe over pay for him.
I mean, giving James Bradbury landing Collins money.
Probably want to be an overpayment, depending on the team he went to.
Now the Redskins overpaid because once something good, but also the Redskins were a safety away from being a good team.
So paying that much money for position where you're several years off from being even a playoff contender like an actual playoff contender who can win a single game of the playoffs.
I mean, I don't understand that he's Atlanta College is worth some money, but not not that much.
And not to that team.
There other things to work on me.
You might not even have a quarterback.
Don't look that good, but he's still a rookie, though.
Uh, the thing is, if you let James Bradberry get to the gate to the off season, there's other teams that could bid on him.
If we sign him or extend him before the off season, it's only us, and he can't.
There will be no bidding war, but but the point I kind of get to right now is you signed it.
You signed Shack Thompson.
Four years, $54 million.
Basically around $14 million a year.
It might be front loaded.
It could be back loaded.
Who knows? You sign him for four years.
If you sign James Bradberry for the next 3 to 4 years, he'll probably I don't know what.
I actually don't know what corners are making right now.
It looks like it looks like Xavi and Howard is the highest paid and he just got the sea 46 got off.
Was it five years? Five year, 46 million guaranteed, but it was five and 75 million total.
But Mamadou, I'm going todo guaranteed money.
Uh, total guaranteed is 46.
So it's probably somewhere around what, 12 million? A year? 12 After you got it.
He got an extension asked.
It's kinda hard to see.
Like where exactly it is Josh Norman, Josh Norman.
Uh, got a $35 million deal as well.
He's getting paid something around 15 year around that Jermaine Johnson for the Jets.
I don't know about that.
Xavier Rhodes is gonna be a, uh, rage in three years and he's getting paid.
He has a $70 million deal.
Probably getting somewhere around, uh, Cardinal 12 inch to it says 14 average a year.
Over the course of the full contract on Lee, only $20 billion guarantee is fully guaranteed.
You know, this is the problem right Here, I wish is the n B A, bro.
It's so hard, like without looking at each individual contract and looking at fully guaranteed versus total value versus how many years were on it versus, like all these other details, it's very hard to go through a list of of players.
The players contracts in NFL.
Say OK, this player has this many years.
This is his number, an average of this much money because it's, you know, there's a guaranteed there's guarantee number.
There's the fully guarantee number.
There's the total value of the contract, which is, if the player makes it to all.
All the years are honest contract, plus the incentives, which are which are not very clearly described in each individual contract or let's go to each medical contract.
It's hard to actually break these down because some of these dudes like Saving Howard $75 million total on his contract, but only 27 million is fully guaranteed.
But the guarantee total is 46 million, which I guess is the signing bonus.
So I mean, it's hard to say, and it says the average per year is 15 million, so it's obviously a six year deal or six year of having a five year deal.
Well, it was a six year extension.
The point is, or six a six year deal but a five year extension.
Um, the point I'm making here is is that he's gonna be getting paid a lot of money.
I guess the short answer is, he is.
He could be getting paid around the Malcolm Butler and the Titans kind of money.
He'll be getting paid some around Stefan well stuck on Gilmore Place for the Patriots.
Devil Gilmore's should be getting paid a bit more.
He's he's actually gonna pay pretty cheaply.
And he's afraid that in two years, which means the market he was signed under it was probably a lot lower than it is right now.
But James Bradburn is gonna be able to get somewhere around Kyle Fuller Pat Peat type numbers.
Now Pat Pete is he's, ah, 14 year, 40 year, 48 million total guaranteed.
And how bad that that's kind of bad, because you think about you lock in shock.
Thompson, you lock and James Bradberry witness can get paid, Windows can get paid.
And how much does can get paid? He's a franchise quarterback.
You either You either pay him this offseason or yeah, this off season, Uh, which I mean, can you pay Shack counts when you pay them James, Bradberry and Cam.
And if you don't pay him this offseason, are you gonna really let this man play the last year of his contract and then get to the end of the year and ah and every team in the league and bid on him now what we could do something.
I've been images a lot, but nothing we could do is we could let him play most a year on this on this contract and then offer him a deal if he plays really good to, like, you know, x number of weeks, we say.
His conflict right here.
You wanna take this like you were offered a contract week, eight week, nine, week 10.
Something like that.
Which, if he's playing good off the contract that straight, he's playing bad.
Then you kind of maybe dodged a bullet, but at the same time, uh, had you you only dogs like one bullet when there are two fired at you because you could have gotten picks and more money in the back in for him.
I'm looking into that right now, but But, uh, the thing is, if Cam's playing good, you wanna offer, But if you want to offer came a contract mid season like late miss even week, 10 Week 11 if gasoline good, there's a chance.
He says, maybe just go ahead and better myself.
Let me go and play the last five games.
Get to the playoffs.
If we was playing good the playoffs.
Let me get to the playoffs real quick.
Do what I do there and then to see what kind of money you talk about in the off season.
And if you only talked about money Hey, a Bo, 31 of the teams.
There's at least 10 other teams in the league who would love to have a franchise quarterback, this team in the league right now, who who could use Cam and it's camp playing good next year and tried it all from a contract middle of the season when only you can bid on him, can better himself and say not.
I think I believe in myself right now.
Let me just go ahead and just cool out requirements.
See how things shake out and and see Rag me the money and honestly, Im camp.
I mean, look, the way I feel about it is I love the Panthers.
I mean, if that's my team, I love my team.
Wanted to get the best people for whatever it for the right price, But I'm more.
I'm one of these players sides in the NFL.
I have two more. The playersside, bro. No, matter.
What decision is the NFL is so bad with these contracts.
These players play one of them or one of the most violent sports out there right now.
One of most violent mainstream sports out there right now.
And they get really ****ty contracts.
Xavi and Howard, $75 million total, but only guaranteed 46 million.
I mean, it's on Lee I saw on Lee.
46 million, but still there, guys.
I mean, they're just guys out here who I mean Chris Harris Jr.
For the Broncos, he has a $12 million total contract, but only 1.
6 is fully guaranteed.
Actually, no, let's actually, That's a weird deal, I think I said, I think that was a one year deal, actually.
Anyway, the point is, the point is that, Ah, that players the conflict in the NFL or bad that they're bad contracts.
And I feel like if you're a player in the NFL manager on my team, you on another team, I don't feel I don't feel any kind of way.
If you taste in the money, I don't I don't I would never in the n b a little bit different since the number on your number on the contractor's number.
Mom, you get whether you're on the team or not.
You're getting paid that amount of money.
But in the NFL, I can't.
I can't fall a player for chasing the money.
I will never fall a player, especially.
Look, let's be really we all the Panthers.
But, like, if you can if you can, if you're gonna I'm not gonna.
I'm not gonna be mad at a player for turning down lower or turning down money.
That's lower than they want.
What they deserve, loading their actual value if you're not gonna, I'm not gonna get mad at you for not taking a hometown discount to play in a small market on a team that, let's be honest, we're not clearly like a playoff team for next year or clearly a Super Bowl favorite.
So, like cams, games, a scandal superstar and cam before his, uh, you know, it's funny to hear about what about routes.
He was getting commercials.
Krista McAfee's getting commercials there in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Can you imagine the kind of commercials that camp or seen that would get if they were playing on the Chargers or the other Rams If these guys we're playing on a team in L. A.
If you guys were playing for the Cowboys, if these guys were playing for the mean Well, ****, the Giants.
But I mean is imagine.
They played with both both New York teams of Bad.
Yeah, both New York teams are horrible.
It's a weird example, because they're so bad.
But if they even have, like an 18 18 in on the Jets or the Giants marking the Giants, these dude will be way huger.
They're bigger media markets.
Can you imagine that? They're all on Chris McCaffrey's on every commercial baker.
Mayfield was on every commercial playing for the Browns.
Mike Baker had another good season this year, and he played for one of those big on those big markets.
I can't blame a guy for chasing the money or for chasing a better a bigger media market I could never do in the NFL.
MBA is different cause I get paid fairly, but an NFL where your contract says one number and you earn a different number, but it's actually another different number.
I never I am I get mad in a player for doing that? I would never blame can for chasing the money or for betting on himself.
I would never blame Cam for betting on himself.
And I spent 20 minutes to just say signing Shaq. Thompson was good.
But if we signed Jack Thompson and James Bradberry, I just don't know where the money's gonna come from.
Toe pick up camp.
I just don't know where we're gonna find the cash to pay Kim or No, no.
We're gonna find the money to pay camp fairly.
What? I pay Kim competitively toe What other teams? My offer.
If he goes to free agency, If he goes, get a fantasy.
Are the upcoming off? See them specially it.
That's naturally. It for me, man.
That's all I got for you right now.
Congratulations to Zach Thompson. He earned it.
He deserved the money he got for sure 100% 100%.
He didn't deserve it.
Jay's Bradbury has earned it.
He deserve the contract.
But both those guys get contracts.
Is also Mario Addison, who's coming off his deal this year.
Uh, yeah, this is going to go on.
Kyle Love and Vernon Butler.
We're probably gonna draft into your D lineman.
I know for a fact in the 1st 2 rounds where were drafted into your D linemen, We're stopping the run.
Next year will stop.
We're stopping the run next year.
We're stopping the run next year.
I don't care, bro.
I guarantee you I'm willing to bet whatever amount of money, whatever you want.
That, uh, the 1st 2 rounds were drafting and into your d linemen.
