All right, We're going to be live in and we should be live up on sportscaster right about now.
What's going on, Sportscaster? How you doing, Salva Tree Here.
Here to break down and really preview more Solan breakdown the preview.
What? I'm expecting what we're looking at in this packers and in this Vikings matchup, we too.
Both teams want to know both teams one and I guess somewhat similar fashion, but really not the same at all.
I mean, both in terms of the Packers very low scoring game.
They put up points in Minnesota, but they did it in a very old conventional way.
If you want to talk about it from that point of view, so we recap the Packers last week, I'll quickly go over what we saw in Minnesota on a high level.
And then we'll get ready for week to the Packers and the Viking.
So let me get my mike a lot closer to me.
As I say all this what we saw in week two from Minnesota was exactly what they were saying they were gonna do.
But the game flow made it a lot.
What the hell? That was man motorcycle popping off out there.
But we saw exactly what they said that they were gonna do it.
I'm gonna get the comments section up right now.
So if you are commenting on sportscaster, pull that up on my phone.
But we saw what they said that they were going to do except a very extreme version of that, mainly because we got to see a Minnesota team jump out to a pretty big lead.
So we knew going into this season, or at least what the coach speak was was that we were gonna have Dalvin Cook.
We're going to have the second round pick.
Um, Alexander Madison really be the focal point of this team.
And the Vikings brought in an offensive coordinator.
They did it at the final quarter of the year last year to become very run heavy.
Make Kirk cousins a game manager similar to Joe Flacco.
Maybe not to that extent, but similar to how Joe Flacco was in Baltimore.
Right? Go running heavy approach.
You have a stud in Dalvin cook out of Florida State now, two years removed from an injury when you drafted another running back in Alexander Madison.
Take over the Octavius Mary role.
Still a serviceable offensive line and weak one.
We got to see them absolutely tear up.
Calvin Cooke played phenomenal, absolutely.
Tour up the Atlanta Falcons defense who last year struggled defending past catching running backs.
Cook had two catches, but I mean, cousins only attempted 10 balls.
So, um, with that said, Ah, what that said, I think that we're going to see in this game something very similar to what we saw last week, just not to the same extent.
Now here's the thing A lot of people want overreacted.
Alban Cook's game looking fit, people a fantastic like nothing over in terms of overreacting.
But for a season, some people are saying he's gonna be an R B one.
If you're talking about fantasy, the best running back on the year look, Christian McCaffrey put that all the doubt once he stepped on the field.
There's no way there's a lot of guys better than him.
And also, I mean, Cook only saw less than 70% of the snaps S O.
That's not that great compared to what you were seeing in a place like, um Alexander Madison seeing 28% of the snaps.
You're seeing snaps in these other spots for running backs much higher.
So overall, Cook should be fine.
I like Calvin Cooke a lot, but there is Alexander Madison.
They're going to probably take around 30% if not more, off the workload.
Moving forward under this offense that wants to run the ball.
Taking over little Davey is Mary role.
So yet Kirk Cousins only throwing 10 times you had, and I'm feeling catching an early touchdown, but 10 pass attempts.
Now it's clearly low.
But the final four games last year, the Vikings only through the bowl 28 times per game on average, and I expect something around that moving forward.
They're not gonna be a pass first team unless they get down, which is very much possible.
But they have a serviceable defense, too. Good.
Overall, I think this game is going to be.
It's going to be very much run heavy from the Viking side, which is going to cut into the amount of time, and it makes sense to always kind of game plan that way that you're going tohave an Aaron Rodgers on the field.
So let me get this up real quick.
These are my notes from the last game you could see over my shoulder.
I'm not too worried about the splits from Aaron Jones.
We talked about those but moving forward into this game.
So what I'm seeing on the side of the Packers is a couple of things that stood out a little bit more after I looked into it again from the initial look right? NBS.
It's about the scamming, and and Adams were on the field of Ton.
Clearly, they should be definitely Adam's journal.
A guy who I thought was the number two receiver on this team.
No matter what depth chart said, um, then I really like seeing what they did hear.
They put Allison on the outside.
They put Adams on the door.
They put MPs on the outside, so I was reading text and they put Adams on the outside and you had Alison not in the slot.
Now imagine this was mainly due to what we saw on the Bears defense, right, having to keep it tight and then really having to keep another running back in just for protection on Roger's, which I'm all for like keep that man healthy.
That's the only reason that this team is even serviceable to good.
Well, you know what they have behind them.
The preseason, they're not make no Tim Boyle look like a serviceable backup, or even the Sean Kaiser for that extent.
So what? All that, said Marcie.
There's not even a strong guys on this team anymore.
But with all that said, you're getting into it.
Geronimo Allison only playing about 50% of snaps in the slot on Lee, had one target at like the line of scrimmage.
Nothing looked good there in terms of his usage.
Now I obviously think that's going to be going upwards.
I think the more time that Aaron Rodgers has in the pocket, it looked like those Bears front seven.
And really, the front four was just absolutely shot out of a cannon on every play.
Hence why Jamal Williams was on the field more so.
Yeah, I think you're going to be able to get over all just Maur time for Aaron Rodgers to find M V s to find guys like Alison.
When they go to 11 personnel in play with 13 wide receivers, a guy in the slot.
Aaron Jones on the field more.
That's by far the most talent that they have on the field when they have Alison in the slot when they have Aaron Jones out there.
Ah, worst pass protector than Williams.
So, yeah, I think that's what we see.
Definitely more so moving forward than that 10 3 victory over the Bears showed us.
Keeping an eye on Alison's uses the usages.
Big watching Aaron Jones.
You said you go up because you're not gonna have as good of a front.
Still find from that as good of a front as the Bears proceeded, potentially the best front in the NFL.
So that's something that stood out.
I'm still going to monitor what happens with the tight ends on this team.
We saw 10 Roger 30 pastimes want the tight ends.
Last week we had six to Jimmy Graham, 32 Mercedes Lewis, who might have had, like three targets all of last year.
A very talented, um, in good quality veteran pass catcher who just wasn't used Last year, he was used as a run blocker, primarily around the Golan, but it's nice to seem actually get active with three targets, and Robert Tony on the rookie could his only target for a decent gain.
So 33% of the past attempts went too tight ends.
That is something that Matt look for who I'm Packer fan.
I'm not very high on Matt before.
What is he done? Is the question.
I guess we'll get to see what you can do it. Decent weapons.
But he was a coach under Shanahan.
He was a coach under saw McVeigh, and then when he had an opportunity with the Titans, it looked like absolute dust again, the players and the Titans personnel compared to the talent, I mean just levels above when you just look at Aaron Jones in terms of his versatility compared to a Derrick Henry, which is a straight line runner, very good one.
Obviously, market scenario that compared to Rogers, isn't even close.
Don't do any walking out there last year and then having Cory Davis like it.
Compared to Adam, it's not even close with talent is.
But there was really never creativity on that offense again.
You can only do what you can only use what you have to work for, but I'm interested to see how they utilize tight ends.
See if they could revamp Jimmy Graham.
See if Mercedes Lewis is going to be on the field with Jimmy Graham and or Robert Tony in Probably or, um, Media.
There's a lot of weapons that they can go to and really get a little bit deceptive on this offense.
I'm interested to see what Alison's usage is in the slot to see Jones on the field more now that they don't have to keep in.
Williams is a pass rusher o R pass protector against the rush, and I'm interested to see how often Jimmy Graham is targeted.
I believe he had two red zone targets, caught one of them for the only touchdown of that game.
Get the comments up right now, see if he's in here.
What's going on? John Smith, G.
How you doing? So, Viking side of the ball Yeah, we're talking about It's going to be very run heavy, but if you look at the receiving side, her cousin is gonna have to throw more than 10 times in this game.
It just makes sense in general to regress closer to 20 to 25 past attempts a low number.
But Stefan Diggs, who's been playing, Or at least he came in last week, limited with a hamstring.
Any time he plays injured, it's not great.
But he looked fine out there, digs and steal and absolutely murder the Packers.
I mean feelings, like splits against the Packers.
In this type of environment, he gets like over 100 yards per game.
He's an absolute fantasy, darling.
The packages can't defend him now.
This Packer's defense, clearly after Week one, looks revamped, but I don't want to read into it like we discussed in the recap show too much back of the favorites here.
But I don't want to read into it because there was no trade.
Burn was not like a spectacular player, but definitely somebody over the middle of feel that you have to watch out for more than Adam shaking.
The backup bear Sudden and Anthony Miller only played 20% of the snaps.
Miller was playing limited.
He's going to play way more than that.
I thought the Packers did a phenomenal job, maybe not phenomenal, but a very good job, accounting for something they probably didn't prep for.
Two Rico in the slot.
Cohen called a lot of balls, but never anything that kind of just broke.
Open the game or really alter the overall outcome of the game.
I'll take his 67 yard receptions in the slot all day if you actually tackle the guys was something that you didn't prep for.
I'll be interested to see how often the Bears used that strategy.
Cohen in the slot with Miller getting healthier, Taylor Gabriel then will be pushed a little bit more into a slot primary role, with Miller getting into the slot as well.
I imagine they use Cohen in that position, just maybe not to that extent, but I think it's a very interesting maneuver by them and probably more so creative because you want to get David Montgomery.
And also Mike Davis had more snaps that Montgomery on the field.
So moving forward, those were things to watch for in the Packers offense factors.
Defense is just How do they How do they continue to work now against what I would call a more talented offense? Calvin Cooke over David Montgomery for sure over Mike Davis? He's a better running back.
They're going to be facing this week.
That's where they want to go.
Can you stop them from establishing some sort of run Alexander Madison look completely find on his nine touches? So it's stopping the run and then clearly the receivers on this team, it's just days.
It's just fueling.
Kyle Rudolph has also had success against the Packers.
Not too worried about him, though.
It's a matter of look.
Alan Robinson played very well last week.
Like Mitch, Strabinsky could not have been any worse and Alan honest in still win over 100 yards.
Jay Alexander was very much under sized when he was on him.
So what do we see this week when Adam feeling is moving from the slot to the outside rotating, which IBD when there's 11 personnel to then only having two receivers, you're gonna have feeling outside and in the slot You have digs primarily outside digs right up there with Adam is one of the best route runners in the league.
How can the defense guards those guys who they want to run the ball first? But those receivers have been beating this defense for years again.
Totally revamped defense the last two years primarily even last year, getting savage, getting guys up front.
So I want to see the Packers passion could do.
Getting two cousins when he actually throws the ball on.
I just want to see overall what this defense looks like against what I would call another tear up in terms of overall talent.
Maybe not that hive.
It's here at the quarterback position.
Kirk, although I would argue, works better, but definitely at the running back position.
Definitely at wide receiver, too.
Wide receiver one.
When you compare a feeling and Alan Robinson, it's much closer than people think.
I actually believe that Alan Robinson is a Tier one wide receiver elite now two years removed from his A c L.
So I just want to see the defense continue to get pressure.
I don't see how they perform against better wide receivers overall.
Better offense overall, on the offense of side.
I want to see the Packers get more into 11 personnel Seymour Allison on the field and see his skills that utilize now right a year or so removed from the injury about 11 months removed from the injury really on to see Aaron Jones on the field.
More don't see if they continue to utilize the tight end, especially over the middle of the field.
Were just always a mismatch. Problem.
Also, something else to point out if Maura Aaron Jones is gonna be on the field will be definitely nice to see if he gets active in the receiving game, as they were touting him to be more active in the receiving game.
A better pass protector.
They're saying that in the preseason, obviously not as good of a pass protector.
Otherwise, he would've stayed on the field more instead of Jamal Williams.
That's all that we know what they're gonna try and run the ball. Minnesota.
I think that's gonna be the primary focus here.
Usually keep airing on yourself the field.
It makes even more sense for them to do that, but that's just their game plan.
Their mentality would expect somewhere around 28 25 to 28 pass attempts, depending on game flow.
For Kirk Cousins here.
Aaron Rodgers 30 pass attempts last week.
You're going to have to go up.
It just is, especially in terms of just overall game environment.
I would expect that, um not having to try and establish some sort of run.
Last week, they had 13 carries with Jones, five with Jamal Williams.
I think that's a nice balance, but I think you're gonna see somewhere closer to 35 attempts in this game.
So that's our man right now in terms of score. Predictions.
Don't really like doing any score predictions.
I think the Packers are like 24 in terms of for the score.
It's like 24 20 Vegas or 24 23.
They have the at home favorite here, so I mean, that's just something that reliant.
I'd probably go 27.
What's going on, Nick? I would probably go overall for a score prediction of this game.
Packers somewhere in the range of 27.
And really, it's just so game Florentine how the first couple of possessions go.
But I would say Packers on then.
No means just doing this as a thoughtful score.
Prediction. Not trying too biased here.
Packers 27 Vikings 24 Again, that's the Vegas line on it.
I believe it's still minus three.
They have the Packers in black for like 24 points today.
or at least on Sunday.
If Minnesota can do what they want early on, it's going to be a little bit more difficult, like Mike Davis and David Montgomery.
When they touched the ball last week on the ground, I didn't do that great.
When they touched upon the air, including Tariq own in the slot a lot, they did fine.
Galvin cooks not one of the most sure handed, pass catching running backs.
You can definitely do it.
Two catches last week on too short passes onto targets, but it's mainly going to be on the ground.
So if the Packers can stop the run early on, that's pretty much where this game flow goes.
If the Packers get the bone, get up. Seven.
Nothing that's really gonna force Kirk Cousins to throw more something that this offense is still built to do with digs and dealing out there, but nowhere near as built as they are to run the ball based on the investments into their offensive line.
Robin Cook, the second round pick on Madison.
So I think it's very game for war anthem.
The game can get completely flopped the other way and it could be a 17 14 site victory if the Packers have to play down really into what the Vikings were doing, right.
Inefficient drives in the Packers and the Vikings can then take longer drives, less possessions.
That's exactly what Minnesota wants to do, really, every game, eh? So it'll be interesting to see I'm doing really good, Nick. Thank you. I appreciate it.
Lots of content rolling out for NFL season every single day.
I think this is the fourth piece of content today, so it's a ton of fun.
I love doing this stuff. It's great.
Especially when it's like team specific to the Packers.
Very general overall eyes is difficult.
I'm not difficult, but just more like obviously, in terms of looking into it.
You have to be on on everything because you're gonna have people reaching out because they're a fan of the team and they want to be saying There's takes on this.
You have to actually be able to combat and have a discussion around for the Packers.
It's definitely easy just being somebody who watches like the tape of that came very closely for obvious reasons.
So you're doing well.
Overall, that's the outlook of this game, I'm gonna say it goes into the game flow, as I would predict.
I think it's gonna be a Packers 27 Vikings 24 if the Vikings could do exactly what they want, which I don't think they will be able to Definitely tougher matchup than Atlanta's defense is the screen by defense.
Even in a one game sample, it's still a better run stop team, even with no Mike Daniels out there.
So, yeah, I think that if the game goes sideways, there's a very real chance that this is going to be easily hitting the under.
If your sports bettor type of game, I think it's going to be right around there.
I think it actually hits the over.
But if the Vikings could do what they want hitting the under because you're gonna be limiting the place now, one thing I will say it's not the floor.
Like I said earlier, I'm not the biggest fan of his.
I want to see what you can do kind of approve it type of deal, but definitely not the biggest fan of his, because if you're going to be, um D.
Look, you have the toughest opponent week.
Want to kind of come into a new offense and you gotta win.
So I really like that.
I like that a lot like Roger's, giving him the game ball after the game as well.
But overall there hasn't been much in his past.
That excites you from the spots that he coached even under the guise.
But really, what is that? Just his resume saying, Oh, I worked with this guy like what other job? And I get it like you can take scheme from them and you kind of learn, but really for the most part, working under somebody compared to actually going out there and utilizing things when he was in Tennessee, it wasn't the greatest.
So yeah, I think that this could get sideways pretty quickly.
I think that the offense is always going to be able or always going to be kind of working through some things.
The first couple of weeks of the season definitely weak one against the Bears, so I think this is the time now more than ever.
If you want to kind of guess an upset in terms of being ah sports bettor or a fan of Minnesota and putting money on the game aren't under guessing.
An upset makes a lot of sense here up.
Putting money on the under makes a lot of sense here, because there are going to be Kings in terms of what the Packers have to kind of work out over also in their offense.
And then, obviously the other side of it is that there's going to be less time in this less time overall on the game in terms of play time, because Cox is gonna drain if Minnesota once around the ball a lot.
So that's why Matt, 27 24 Packers prediction the anti buys prediction.
Eyes would. I'll go it. So I appreciate it.
Thank you for tuning in the recap of this game we will be doing on.
So last week was a Thursday Games.
We did the recap like Saturday off the recap of this game we will be doing after the week, probably there Sunday night or Monday at Monday evening.
I have my cousin coming this weekend, and then we will be live.
I'm gonna try and work it out for the game for about an hour again.
My cousin will be here.
I'm gonna try and work that out.
So appreciate it.
