Welcome, everyone to another edition of the art sports talk show packed, I should say filled, uh, day of sports sports news rumors, especially in the MBA.
So we're gonna get right into it as usual.
Grant and Sam, how's it going? We'll start with Grant.
I'm Grant from Flushing Sports on.
Welcome back to another edition of the sports Stock Show.
Should be a good one.
Yeah, we got a lot of topics to cover.
A lot of very interesting news going around the four major sports.
And, you know, it's also the same.
Hope you enjoy another good episode.
Yeah, thank you very much, Grant.
And we thank you who are tuning in tonight to another edition of the all sports talk show.
I'm Samuel Reese.
And I hope you enjoy, I should say.
And as much as we enjoy bringing the show to you and yeah, as as granted, Isaac said, we've got a ton to talk about, and I'll toss it back to Isaac as well Get right into things just so money topics to discuss. Really.
And I'm looking forward to covering it all here tonight on Friday on the all sports talk show.
Yeah. So we're started off with football.
Alex Smith Starting over joint. Haskins.
We know, uh, Kyle Allen got injured once again.
We know we got injured a few weeks ago.
Um, but Alex Smith was the backup Q B, um behind Kyle Island.
So you said what happened to join House? Because I thought he was the starting Q B.
He's not even the backup.
Uh, here's the third string QB.
He's now the backup.
It could confuse you guys, but anyway, Dwayne Haskins not in a good situation.
That's the easiest way of saying it.
And look, I think Alex Smith is better than Dwayne Haskins right now.
Now, why am I saying that? It's not that obvious of a statement because he's been out for a few years with that awful injury, But he's back, and we saw him throw a nice deep path last week.
How nice was that? To see Alex Smith so a touchdown and it was a nice one.
And so he's starting over joint.
Askins, I think this is the right move.
I mean, the lost in football team, they have a shot at winning the division.
I don't think it will happen.
But this and the Cowboys saw the shot at when that division.
It's just that exactly.
So we'll start with Grant.
Uh, is this the right move now that Kyle Islands, not the starting QB? You see, it's interesting because I agree with you 100%.
I do ultimately think despite throwing two interceptions last week, I don't think Alex Smith is better than Dwayne Haskins.
And overall, you kind of want to see Smith play.
Of course, after come back from the injury, this is first start from that injury.
Remember, the two games he played in Kyle Island actually started.
This is his first official start since the injury.
I'm really looking forward to seeing them again, and I think it should definitely be interesting.
But, you know, at the same time, yeah, it's nice to see Alex Smith played at the same time you have Dwayne Haskins, you have a lot of potential in that backup position.
Wouldn't you kind of want to start Haskins because maybe you could try trade them at the draft for some value.
It's very interesting that this is a very, very interesting move.
And if Smith really struggle the next couple weeks like I know, Ron Rivera is pretty much no faith and Dwayne Haskins.
But if Washington continues to struggle and if you know Smith doesn't get back to his old self, they might have to put back in Haskins in a couple of weeks.
So you know, Rivera's always gotta keep that, you know, in the back of his head, of course.
And so just overall, it is a very weird move.
Like I think for right now they're doing the right thing, you know, starting Alex Smith at the same time.
You know, maybe throwing Dwayne Haskins.
You know, a few plays a game, you know, running the Wildcat.
I don't know if he's the type of quarterback that would do that, but, you know, you get them involved in the game playing a little bit because I still think Haskins that's quite a bit potential.
And again, you could definitely get some trade value for him.
If you do roll with Smith or, you know, you draft whoever in the draft, So yeah, I would say Smart move starting Smith right now, but you definitely want to get Haskins in the game plan.
I mean, it is a very weird and complicated situation here for Washington now that Kyle Allen is injured, in my opinion, because, yeah, obviously there's a lot of potential there for Dwayne Haskins.
And, you know, once Kyle Allen got injured, e think many were thinking Oh, okay.
This is Haskins moment to take advantage.
Uh, you know, in the starting role.
But no, he's he's behind Alex Smith.
Still, uh, And I mean, I think as good of a story as Alex Smith is and you know, hats off to him for making this comeback.
That has just been, you know, really a miracle.
And it's it's phenomenal to see, and it's great to see him out there.
There's no doubt about it, but I think, really, this decision to start, uh, Alex Smith ahead of Dwayne Haskins tells us more about Haskins than it does about Alan.
Or at least what Washington think of Haskins.
I really I really believe they're losing patience with him at this point because I mean, yeah, I I suppose they're making the right decision and starting Alex Smith because obviously they would have started Dwayne Haskins if if they had felt confident in him, because obviously, he's a quarterback with a lot of potential.
But, you know, apparently there there were.
There was rumors that, you know the coaching staff was was irritated with Haskins for not arriving at the building on time, being late to some meetings, not preparing enough for games.
And, no, you know, NFL teams, no matter really how talented you are, especially when you're still a young player in the league who hasn't proven yourself yet.
They're not gonna tolerate that.
And so Alex Smith, on the other hand, is a guy who's worked his tail off to just get back onto the football field.
I mean, we didn't even he didn't.
He didn't even know if he was going to be able to walk again.
And now that he's back on the football field working his tail off to get back to this point, I mean, he probably deserves it more honestly.
Based on you know what we're hearing with Dwayne Haskins, Really just being lazy in a poor teammate, it sounds like, and I don't really know what Haskins issue is because if he was just behave himself.
He would be, in my opinion, easily starting instead of instead of Alex Smith right now.
But I think it tells us that Haskins wants out.
Apparently, Ron Rivera still doesn't want to trade him.
He still, he still has hope and Haskins.
So it's a really bizarre situation for Washington.
But as Grant said, there's the there.
There's always the possibility that things go wrong with Kyle Allen, and then you're only left with Haskins and we and he will get his chance.
And, uh, and and maybe he could prove that he's at least a tradable asset because I just don't see him having a future here with Washington, especially now that he's essentially, you know, the third string quarterback on the depth chart.
You know, when Kyle, Alan, what was healthy? So, yeah, I mean, we'll see how it pans out.
I can't really blame Washington for making this decision to start Kyle Allen instead of Dwayne Haskins.
You know, based on what we're hearing, but I think it tells you a lot about you know, the troubles Dwayne Haskins has had, and mainly uh, due to his well, at first, I think At first.
I think Washington, you know, didn't give him as best of the chances they could have.
But now Dwayne Haskins is just, you know, it sounds like he's being a baby about it, honestly.
And that's his fault, quite frankly, because you're in the National Football League, you're going to get opportunities if you know there's a situation where the starter gets injured.
But you know the way he's been acting in treating this whole situation.
Yeah, Cailin deserves to be the starter, and I think that's why Washington are going with him.
Um, I think we know what the ceiling of joint Haskins is.
It's not that high.
You know Alex Smith.
On the other hand, I feel like the ceiling is higher, but he could definitely performed way worse than joint Haskins can, because we don't know, you know, with Alex Smith's injury, even if he's fully healthy.
I mean, he's been out of league for a few years, and even if he stayed healthy, he's one of the veteran Cubes, you know.
Is he that good anymore? So I do think this is the right move.
I mean, you do have Alex Smith who's gonna throw for away more urologist Endpoint Haskins, right and going back to the Washington football team won the division.
It's a possibility, because you have Terry McLaurin, who's a weapon for Alex Smith.
J D McKissic and Antonio Gibson have been great backs, and they proved that they have proved that.
I know they're both young back.
So we needed a second, you know, before we say that.
And then, uh, the defense has been amazing.
Chase Young, we know is amazing.
But he may be out for the rest of the season.
I feel like he's injured.
I n s que If that's his name, um, he's amazing.
Yeah, he was also hurt for the rest of the year.
Yeah, OK, but great, though, when he's healthy, I was playing great.
And then, you know, the quarterbacks have done good.
I was looking at their number a few the numbers a few weeks ago.
The Washington football team, as a team, is up there in total interception.
So look, the defense is capable of being a playoff.
Stephen The offense not, but it could could maybe it's 2020 with the n f C.
East I mean, it could happen, right? I mean, this is, you know, teams are gonna make the playoffs that are not playoff teams, not the Dolphins but the Eagles, for example, because I do think there was a division, Uh, so let's go into the next topic.
Ah, and there'll be awards.
So we'll start with M v P.
I feel like was the right choice.
Some people say Mookie Betts, just because the factors he won in the world So he's not himself.
It's a team sport Baseball.
But he did probably have the biggest contribution I know.
Sam likes Mookie Betts, and Red Sox fans have to admit.
I mean, he was terrific this season defensively as well.
And the Eos where we have questions.
Shane Bieber was most people's pick for MVP.
He wasn't even a finalist.
LeMay who? Jose Ramirez.
And, of course, the winner.
Jose a Brave finished ahead of him.
Um, Mr With Sam on that, I mean shave.
Bieber should have won M v p, let alone being a finalist.
E I don't know what's happening there.
I mean, you know, these individual awards for these team sports you know, can get a little bit silly sometimes.
And yeah, I I 100% agree.
I just you know, sometimes I don't know.
You know what's going through the voters minds, to be honest with you, but yeah.
I mean, I Shane Bieber.
He was dominant on a consistent basis throughout the season.
On dso I thought he was my m v P.
I mean, don't get me wrong.
The nominees that the nominees were great players, obviously, they were nominees for a reason.
But Shane Bieber at least had to be one of them, in my opinion.
And yeah, I I'm 100% with you, Isaac.
From from what I saw it from the games, I watched when When Bieber was on the mound.
I mean, he was he was He was the best pitcher in the league in my mind.
And he was He was dominant, every performance, pretty much.
And yeah, he was my m v p shout in the a l I mean, So I I don't know why he was finalist, but that's beyond me.
That's beyond me.
I I agree with you, though I was like I would have gone with Bieber as well.
I mean, I agree with Shane Bieber as well.
I mean, eight wins led the A l.
Same thing with his e r A with a 1.
63 in just 12 games.
I really can't complain here.
I mean, yeah, I was a brave, Did have a good year, but ultimately, yeah, I just think Bieber was ultimately the better player.
I'm in my thinking he was the best pitcher in the league this year.
And the fact that again, he wasn't even the finally.
I mean, okay, there's a like, if he's a final listen, you know, another place just about okay? I kind of get what you're going with their The fact that it wasn't even up in the top three.
It was just like it was kind of really.
I was kind of in awe about that because you definitely had the stats doing, you know, you really carried the Indians into the playoffs? I think so.
Yeah. Look, overall.
Speaking of, hit me good. We're now Cy Young.
Obviously, without a question.
I mean, if he's in the NDP talks, obviously it's your Cy Young choice uh, but then the and I was so young.
I don't think we need to really talk about that.
You agree? Power? Yeah, He was great.
And I'm interested to see where he lands.
Which team? Exactly, By the way, the last few seasons, he's had terribly erase nothing close to the And this is a 16 game season.
But, um, I in, ah, 162 game season.
Um, maybe not next season, wherever team he lands, because he's a free agent, but I don't see him finishing higher than a three. Alright.
Probably too low to is.
Definitely not one.
I don't think you will, but Bauer is definitely the choice.
Well, that's really it.
We could talk about the ballots.
Um, you know, MLB posted the ballots.
Official voting ballots, like, not just the top three, But like what? People got votes.
Uh, no one really cares.
I don't really care, but just saying I know some people, and they I don't even want to start the conversation.
Some people did who are not Marlins fans.
The Marlins, not one player got a vote.
Let's just say okay.
Yeah, why would someone get an M V P vote.
But when you see the people that got a vote, you say nadie Miguel RoHaas, for example, deserved it a tad bit more Dansby Swanson was on the list.
Uh, there were a few people on the list that you say, you know, really shouldn't be on the list.
Jake D were mudo didn't get one vote, which I thought was surprising.
So it is the best catcher available, so yeah, and we don't need to make a big deal about that because they're not a finalist.
They didn't win, so who cares? But it's nothing to talk about right and say, Come on, give them a vote.
And the the reason they get a vote is for the finishing second place, finishing third place.
Finishing 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th.
So that's what it is.
And NHL retro jerseys.
I know grants doing a good job on the Paris sketch of these jerseys.
I know Vegas had a nice one, right? Oh, yeah.
I'll read like I predicted, with the little swords in the middle, I I've been a fan of the Knights ones.
The NHL Instagram pages posted a lot of sneak peeks today I'll be posting on them on Instagram and the power skate show where all that stuff when when they officially dropped.
But, you know, a couple of my fictions have been right so far, it looks like the Carolina Hurricanes will go for the Hartford Whaler jerseys.
It looks like the Avalanche are going to stay away from the core Beck Nordiques look and also looks like the Rangers gonna bring back their Statue of Liberty jerseys from the, which looks sick.
I have one of those, and I mean, those were just a few.
I know the Bruins air coming out with all yellow ones, which, you know, that was not the best ones, I think.
But they certainly do, you know, kind of bring back the early two thousands.
Look, you know Bergeron's rookie year, a pork spinal year, you know all that good stuff.
So I guess that those look decent, too.
I got to say the one team I've been kind of disappointed with is the Penguins there's have already been released to they're going back to their 19 eighties.
Look where I felt like they should have took in one of their blue winter classic jerseys.
For me, the 2007 or 2011 and kind of, you know, added on to that to make it you know, Mork current.
But I see outside like Pittsburgh's from my really only main disappointment.
But other than that, it seems like I've been impressed with the majority of himself.
Yeah, I can't wait till these dropped three days.
Three days when they drop, it's gonna it's gonna be a lot funny again.
I'll be giving my full reaction to him on the pyre Skate show on one.
I think the biggest disappointments are the teams that don't give retro jerseys such the Panthers.
But if the Panthers were to do one, uh, look like we said, go, tonight's came up with a new one And then most teams do, you know, do their Oh, Josie's the Panthers option Unless they come up with, like, a new one, which, if they come up with the new one, I'm not gonna draw design.
Who knows, You know, I can't predict what the new design is gonna be, Uh, but if you're gonna do retro jersey, I mean, go back to the old logo and, uh, have it.
I think that's the obvious one. Of course.
Look, Panthers could come out with the modern jersey.
Look, I don't know. I mean, Pant.
Who said the Panthers need a retro jersey? I mean, they don't do these winter classic stuff there.
There's no library where, you know, you like to wear these good jerseys going back from the 19 eighties.
So, you know, the Panthers don't need retro jerseys. No one.
You know, they're not in these big and h o gains that no one cares about their jerseys or who even cares.
Yeah, I think the Panthers were going to go back to their old logo back in the early two thousands with, like, the jumping out Panther with the clause.
I think they're doing something like that back with old Roberto Luongo era.
But yeah, I think the overall Yeah, like like those would probably look solid, but yeah, you do make a good point.
All 31 teams are getting a retro jersey.
Although some teams like the Panthers, for example, that kind of don't already need one that they already have, like one ultimate jersey they can rock with and they're fine.
But overall, I do think that is cool, that one jersey from every single get one.
And this may even rub off on other sports like I wouldn't be shocked at the MLB Traore.
The MBA especially try something like this in a couple years down there.
The MLB's Const.
My bad concept is the City edition.
I mean, that's the That's like the retro and and that relates because retro, you don't go back.
It's like the city, right? Um, back in the 19 eighties represents the city.
So that's what the MBA and we could talk about.
That I mean, the MBA City edition jerseys Air coming back.
I do think the Miami Heat had the best one once again, but we're seeing I know the Hornets released one.
Um, the sun's was mixtures and mixtures.
The design looks good.
I don't really like the colors of it.
It's just basic.
But speaking of colors, we're seeing teams.
Their city edition jerseys of colorful We know the Miami Heat sticks out vice colors, but the sun's the hornets.
We're seeing different colors now, but anyway, Sam want to touch on the NHL retro jerseys.
If you agree with the Bruins, look, yeah, I'm Yeah, I've seen some of them.
I I definitely saw the Bruins sneak peak.
Look, Yeah, as Grant said, You know, it's nothing like crazy, but it does give me memories from like when I was really young and like, you know, Patrice Bergeron was starting out his career and even like during, like, back a couple months ago, early in, you know, quarantine when when they were showing throwback games on TV.
I know Nesson was showing doing that exactly.
I know Nesson was showing a lot of throwback Bruins games from, like the early two thousands with those exact jersey.
It definitely gives, you know, it brings back memories.
You know, when when they did where those, you know, yellow jerseys on on a regular basis.
So, yeah, that's that's the cool aspect of it.
But you know, nothing.
But but, yeah, it does give memories, that's for sure.
These TV stations have nothing to dio.
I mean, we're talking about MLB.
LeBron's complaining about having too much of a short off season.
What about this long off season for TV stations again, eh? NBA NHL starts on the October.
Well, we're one month past October.
I mean, we're supposed to have the n h O.
Now we're supposed to have the MBA.
Obviously not because of covert, and I don't blame them.
It's already too short of an offseason.
December, whatever the data is 20 something almost Christmas.
Who knows? But I mean, yeah, I mean, you have to show throwbacks, and I do agree.
Bringing back told.
Look, you know the Marlins fan.
I want them to bring back those awkward jerseys, Uh, from the Florida Marlins.
Look, the Panthers, Who knows? But yeah, anything Retro jerseys with the Panthers they're gonna do.
I mean, we know it's not.
It's not gonna be that impressive, though.
But for the people that went to Panthers games back then sure, President Williams heading to the injured reserve with the foot sprain.
Look, this is a big loss.
He is to us, right to see if it one we only We've only seen Thio two weeks and Preston Williams.
It's like a week and a half right.
One game and a half because Preston Williams got injured in the middle of the game against the Cardinals last week, but to a is stolen to Preston Williams.
I'm I'm a big Devante Parker fan and fantasy, and in real life they kind of relate to each other because if you have them on your fantasy team, you want him to go to real life.
But I'm the exact opposite, by the way.
Oh, you want them to do bad e like athlete more than another guy.
Just because I'm a fancy team doesn't mean I'm gonna root for him.
Yeah, that is true.
Just want them to get your fantasy points.
But anyway, right he is to us, right? It's even one.
There's no on the depth chart.
It's not going to say that, but I do think he's to his wide receiver.
One in terms off.
Yeah, we know Devante Parker has better skill, but in terms off, the players, receiving targets, yards, touchdowns, I feel like Preston.
I'm just gonna lead the Dolphins when in that in those categories when two was on the field.
So this is a big loss now.
Jah keem GRANTS coming to step up the NFL ESPN dot com specifically put out there mid season predictions for the the NFL.
What is it called? First team? Whatever.
Yeah jah Keem Grant was going to represent the special teams.
And yes, he deservingly so so.
But he's got it in a few exceptions lately, and we know he's speedy.
So this is where Isaiah Ford would come in, Sam, and he's now on the Patriots.
Isaiah Ford would be the Dolphins back up, wide receiver, wide receiver to right now, But there's no Isaiah for there is no question William Sorts takeem Grant.
We're probably gonna get, I think his name's Mac Hollins.
You got it? Just about to say former Eagle back Collins.
You know, he got touchdown last week.
You know, he was pretty bad with the Eagles.
But ever since coming over for the Dolphins and he's actually been okay, I think he'll be a pretty comfortable wide receiver for the moment.
So I'm just talking about wide receiver who said the tight ends tight ends exactly at the reception.
We're definitely gonna increase and Kosecki skills being wasted.
Kosecki hasn't caught a touchdown in a few weeks and then we're going to get these people that say he's not good look.
And he's 10 tight end people just because he doesn't catch touchdowns.
He's a major threat.
Players skills were getting wasted.
Why do I say skills getting wasted? Well, because they're not using it right.
They're not using his skills that are gonna produce touchdown.
So this is a big loss, Sam.
What do you think I know? Isaiah Ford.
This is where he would come into place for the Dolphins.
Now again, I injured reserve minimum three weeks.
But this that's a minimum.
And Bryan Flores said this injury is more severe than he thought it was.
Yeah, and And that's definitely concerned for the Dolphins, as you touched on and in particular, due to the fact that yeah, Preston Williams, you know, through 1.
5 games was to his favorite target.
It looked like So, you know, it'll be interesting to see how you know how to adjust and, uh and and who you know who will step up for the Dolphins in the absence of Preston Williams? But yeah, I mean, Williams was having a pretty solid season.
It does have to be said and so you know, any time one of the best receivers, especially for a team like the Dolphins who are looking to compete for, you know, a potential playoff spot and maybe get that last wildcard.
Um, you know, the loss of Preston Williams is gonna be felt.
I don't doubt that.
And so, you know, we'll see.
We'll see how the Dolphins do without him.
I mean, I I think they'll be fine.
I don't think it will play, you know, a huge.
I don't think it will hurt them too much.
But maybe down the stretch, you know, late in a close game when you know in particular to it would like to have you know, his go to target their in Preston Williams and doesn't have him.
Maybe that that could cost them.
We'll just have to wait and seek, quite frankly.
But yeah, he's gonna be missed, you know, for however many weeks he's out, you know, minimum of three, as he said.
But it could be more, but yeah, that's it's bad news for the Dolphins, for sure.
Especially at this time of the season.
And considering their record as well.
And, yeah, so move onto the next month drew holiday rumors.
Um, the original rumors for Drew Holiday was the Miami Heat.
Signing him obviously has to be through a trade.
He's not a free agent. Now.
They're Celtics removes It seems like a lot of teams were interested in him.
Joe Holiday on the Pelicans.
He's is, um, not on the Celtics, that's for sure.
Not a starter, but Campbell Walker now is not gonna be in your lineup.
This is a trade proposal Celtics and still trade for him without giving up Kemba Walker.
But the Celtics have a stacked lineup that sometimes Marcus Smart, even on the bench.
Hey, What? I mean, Juve holidays.
A starter caliber player.
Maybe not in the Celtics, but anyway, Sam, do you like these rumors? Yeah, I'd say so.
I mean, listen, the Celtics, they need they need to make some moves this offseason.
I mean, clearly there's issues with this team, you know, that that really seemed like the golden their golden opportunity in the bubble Thio to make A to make a run of the N b A finals and perhaps win it all.
And with the talent, they have it clearly, you know, raise some question marks because some something's wrong with this team.
In my opinion, you know, it is a veteran presence.
There is no true leader off this team, and, you know, it's great toe.
Have a ton of talent, as you said Isaac.
But if that talent doesn't mesh together well and you know it's a lot of selfish attitudes, it's not gonna pan out too well.
And listen, I like Kemba Walker.
You know, the little guy, he's a hard worker, and I like him as a player.
But I will say he didn't have a bit of an underwhelming season, especially in the postseason.
And okay, we can make excuses for him.
Perhaps he was dealing with a knee injury, but that's another, you know, issue.
It's not his fault, but he was injured a lot of the time to especially uh, at crucial moments of the season, where he was just never 100%.
He's also getting up there in age.
I mean, I'm not super high on Drew holiday, but I I think I think drew holidays better than Marcus Smart, to be honest with you and, uh, you know, maybe Marcus Smart could be involved in some trade.
If if they do make a trade for, say, drew holiday, I don't think, you know that would be the only trade the Celtics make.
You know, I think Gordon Hayward is definitely on his way out.
There's been rumors about perhaps him going to Indiana back home where he's from.
Of course, he went to Butler and grew up in Indiana in return for Myles Turner.
So I think that would be good for the Celtics as well.
I like Myles Turner, but in the case of Drew holiday, I mean, he is.
He is. He would be a veteran presence.
I I think he is a slightly better player than Marcus Smart.
He can make an impact off the bench.
He's a consistent shooter, too, and he plays pretty solid defense.
So all around, you know, he's not a phenomenal player, obviously.
But he can make an impact off the bench.
And as good as the Celtics, you know, weren't in talent, Uh, they didn't have a ton of depth, you know.
We saw a lot of these, you know, players that were going back and forth between the main red claws, the G League team for the Celtics and between Maine and Boston bouncing back and forth and, uh, and not really not, you know, not really names that we're making too big of a difference for the Celtics.
So I think Drew Holiday would be an impact maker.
And I'd make the deal, to be honest with you, because I think I think you do it because Kemba Walker, if you can get value from him, which drew holiday is value.
I tend to lean towards making the move for the reasons I listed Thio pertaining Kemba Walker.
Now, with that being said, the thing I would bring up is that and this has been an issue of the past where, you know, kind of big name players like Kyrie Irving, although he kind of forced his way out of Boston.
And but, like even Al Horford say, there's been some star players or big name players as of late, let's say that, have you know, or Isiah Thomas the prime example you know that work there, you know, worked hard in Isaiah Thomas is, uh, case and, you know, really, really gave it their all in Boston and then just got traded away.
And Kemba Walker has only been here for a year and he could be traded away and maybe other.
You know, star players around the league when maybe getting an offer from Boston and other teams will say, Do I really want to go to the Celtics? Because there's no guarantee I'm gonna be there longer than a year because, you know, just looking at the past five years, I could be I could be out the door, you know, after a season, even if I if I give my everything, um so and that that's a real thing in my opinion.
And I feel like, you know, it's it's true to bring up that the Celtics have had trouble, you know, attracting the star names, obviously, L A Hollywood.
Everyone wants to go to Miami because it's, you know, super nice.
And so those are way better destinations than Boston When it comes to you know, the climate and the atmosphere.
You know who would want to goto what star player would want to go to Boston when it's just freezing cold and snow storms in the winter? And I think that plays a factor for for star players, Um, and so that that's another story for another time.
But the Celtics need to make some moves, and you're gonna have to take some risks of your Danny ancient.
You know, as of late, Danny Ainge has been, uh, you know, criticized by some fans.
I mean, Celtics Ah, majority of Celtics fans honestly praised Danny Ainge, no matter what he does, which is ridiculous.
But, I mean, I think Danny Ainge has been, you know, way to inactive in the trade market.
And he's been stashing up, you know, all of these draft picks, But this year there's been rumors about them making some moves, maybe trying to go up in the draft.
I mean, they have three first round picks, but they're all in the middle of the draft.
So maybe they trade away those picks to get a big name player.
Or maybe they move up in the draft.
Thio, Thio, get to get a good player, you know, in in this draft class, um, so it'll be interesting.
You know the draft, by the way, Just five days away for the MBA.
So I expect a lot of movement from Boston.
I hope we see some, you know, big trades that will make a difference because it will be needed.
This team needs change.
You can't keep it the way it is.
They made 33 out of the last four years.
They made the Eastern Conference final, but they they've fallen short year after year, obviously the talents there, But something needs to change.
And you need a veteran presence there as well.
In my opinion, uh, and you need to ****e it up a bit because by the way, the Eastern Conference and the rest of league is only getting better.
That's another reason why this last year was a golden opportunity, you know, for the Celtics, because there's all of a sudden gonna be so many good teams.
I mean, look at Philadelphia and we could talk about James Harden and Russell Westbrook and other time.
But imagine if the 76 years got Harden and then you have harden and bead on that team with Doc Rivers as the coach, all of a sudden, you have to take Philadelphia.
Seriously, we all know how good the Brooklyn Nets are now gonna be with Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant.
And then you know the same same other teams as well that were at the top last year in the Miami Heat.
Toronto Raptors on and so on.
So it's not going to get any easier.
So that's why I hope and expect the Celtics to make some moves.
And I know Drew holidays.
Name has been tossed around and I do it for Kemba Walker.
I would if I were the Celtics.
Yeah, I would as well, just because Kemba Walker just totally underperformed, you know, during the playoffs, like I get during the regular season when he was injured, the majority of the time, like it kind of made sense why, you know, he couldn't really gaining his ground.
But once he was healthy throughout the entire postseason, he was missing a lot of pretty, you know, routine three pointers.
I was pretty alarmed.
And then once I heard this trade rumor a couple days ago, I was like, Yes, this could definitely happen with all the Drew holiday rumors coming out.
And how come a Walker, you know, pretty underperformed pretty badly in the in the playoffs.
I'm thinking, all right, you know that this would be a pretty even trade.
The Celtics should make moves.
The Pelicans are pretty much on the fringe of being a playoff team, I think getting a guy like him, Walker probably put him over the edge as well.
So I don't know.
I think overall, this trade will work well for both teams, especially for two teams that most likely make the playoffs next year.
So yeah, honestly, if I was both these teams, that would do something.
I mean, this trade is pretty much a straight up the proposal.
I mean, you know, we could also throw in like a couple of draft picks in the mix.
And who knows, Right? The Celtics, like Sam, said they had three first rounders.
You might see a first rounder in a deal the Celtics might get like another eventual player, although I do think the Celtics are fine on the bench, for the most part.
But, yeah, I mean, you never really know that This is certainly an interesting trade out there.
I would definitely accepted if I was the Celtics, but I was the pelican that probably take it, too.
And, yeah, we'll see what happens.
And this is big news, particularly for not just me, Surprisingly, but for really all of sports.
Qiming first ever woman gm in major sports history is not just MLB and, uh, first Asian American GM.
So that could be a male as well.
Um, So the marlins, uh, get this, um, woman And you know, I'm not really liking the talks that Derek Jeter just got this person as the new GM.
Just so the Marlins gonna have the name, you know, they started.
There's no this.
This woman has story plus years of experience.
She worked on the Yankees, the doctors under raw Manfred.
So she gets a different, you know, taste of the MLB, Um, the White Sox.
And again, these thes teams are, you know, teams that you know, had winning records that made the playoffs.
She, I believe, has three words. Siri's rings.
Eight playoff appearances.
Um, so you know, Qiming is gonna be a good jam.
Not just because she's the first woman, but because she has the, uh She has the leadership and she has the experience.
Um, this obviously opens up opportunities for people, not just in MLB for woman, you know, looking to be a GM in any sport.
So she she broke, You know, she let's say she broke the barrier, right? She she's probably the reason why we're going to see other woman G.
M's get hired soon.
And I'm glad the Marlins were the team that did it.
And I'm glad Derek Jeter, uh, was the one that made the decision show something about him.
Fun fact, Derek Jeter was actually I'm not gonna say it was a close friendship, but they knew each other well, Assistant GM and player on the Yankees.
So books now, Grant, what do you think about this? Obviously a big move in it could go down in sports history.
Oh, yeah. Oh, absolutely.
But at the same time, I think is a very smart move by the Marlins.
I mean, you have, you know, all her experience, and now you're trying to rub it off on such a young team like Miami.
You just made the playoffs.
This really can't go wrong.
I expect her to come in and honestly make a splash in free agency right at the gate.
I mean, I could easily see the Marlins trying to pick up another picture to for Ah, good depth pieces.
And, you know, you know, definitely could use, I think another bullpen. Armas.
Well, if you're in the Marlins case, and yeah, I mean, you know, I think this is going to usually complexity not only for the Marlins.
Very bright future, but yeah.
Also, for the rest of, you know, pretty much sports as Yeah, this could definitely become a new thing in the future.
Like I know NFL.
You know, they started off a female referees and, you know, female, you know, defensive coordinators and stuff.
I think one of these days, one of them, maybe in a few years when we come at coach, I think that would be awesome, too.
But I mean, all the congrats on world they can't thio Kim getting better, pronouncing the name but all congrats to her.
And you know, this is truly awesome for not only baseball, but for sports in general.
But yeah, Overall, I expect her to immediately put the Marlins on the map.
And you know, after here and I talked about the Marlins all the time, Museum in three.
Time and time again.
That the Marlins are, and they are very good young team.
You didn't even have to say that.
You know, Marlins are great young team.
Just further your pitching, I think free agency and I think you could have a deep playoff run.
So I'm definitely excited to see what she could do.
And I honestly do think she's gonna put the Marlins in the right direction as well.
And again, the GM is the person that makes the most trade.
So Marlins air really believing in her.
And Derek Jeter is a guy who makes a lot of trades.
A lot of you know, the Marlins made so many moves last off.
Season free agency has already started.
Really? The minor league ALS in a as big of a baseball fan? I am.
I'm grants breaking more news to me.
But who cares about grants news? They're minor leaguers, right? Grand.
I mean, yeah, we really need to get into the basis of the MLB free agent news and more events to get to that great won't be busy with his news.
The Marlins are gonna make a lot of moves.
Maybe not because coming to Jaffna, Derek Jeter made a lot of moves.
I said that right? But he's not the GM Michael Hillis.
Michael Hills actually being interviewed.
He may be the Mets jam, which is nice.
My two favorite teams, Marlins and Mets.
It's nice to see someone go from the Marlins and the mezzo still watch them.
But anyway, this is a great move.
I mean, I mean, we'll see what the first move she makes.
I know Bill Zito on the Panthers, so I have to bring up my Florida sports.
But he had made a good presence right right away.
He was getting players, you know, right away as soon as he was announced as their GM.
So we'll see what campaign does.
Definitely, the big story is that she's the first woman and, uh, Asian American.
So this is some news.
Matt Nagy giving a play calling Look good, Good, good move, Matt Nagy double thumbs up on this one.
That's what that's what.
It's not going to result in a win, not going to change the words, but by the way, as soon the game that Adam Gates gave up his, uh play calling to whatever the Jets guy is um, they were leading going at the halftime.
That's against the bills.
So I was like, Oh, boy, it's really making a difference.
And, um, gays gave up his, uh, play calling.
And look, the Jets may win.
They lost, of course, but guess what they let going at the halftime.
Come on, Jets fans.
And they did again against the Patriots.
Look what happened.
Fourth quarter collapse because Adam Gaze is still not giving up the is still not calling the place.
Offensive plays, by the way, which is funny, because when he came the Dolphins, his name was offensive genius.
Yeah, because it could Peyton Manning and he could get away with it.
That work? You did that work for the Dolphins and Jets? Yeah, exactly.
So anyway, I mean, hey, let's not forget about the Dolphins making the playoffs, but okay, all right.
That that defense and somewhat healthy Ryan Tannehill led them there.
Hey, remember Cameron, May Cameron wake, remember, you have made the A C championship with our own.
All right, so yeah, exactly.
Hill must be really good to carry the dolphins.
I can't believe how good to any.
We were watching If we could do a quick recap Thursday Night Football last night, Philip Rivers did pretty good.
Um, Tannehill has a great passer rating since I'm joining the tight end.
I mean, he was the backup.
Give the right male. Yoda was the starter.
And Mario toes now non existent.
He's on the Raiders. He's probably injured.
Um, that's the situation.
So, by the way, Sam, I want you to touch on this.
I mean, the bears were kind of coming down back to Earth, in my opinion, because don't get me wrong.
They had a phenomenal start to the season.
But, you know, they weren't your typical What were they like, five and one five e do Something was flawed, e somewhere along the lines. You know, exactly.
They were eventually going to come come back down to Earth.
I mean, the problem is their offense is just so, so inconsistent.
And sometimes there's just so many poor decisions on the offensive side of the ball.
I mean, their defense is solid, but their offense just lets them down.
I feel like a lot of times and which between Travis can falls each year like you know, who's gonna have a better literally tweets.
So each week, you know, and they and the other thing is, listen, I know Cordell Paris in this fast.
He's a great special teamer.
Stop using him as a running back.
He is a receiver for the reason you use them for the long ball.
Quit using him as a running back.
David Montgomery is very solid.
That's what takes me off the most about Matt.
Maggie's play calling looks like a third and five.
We're gonna do a halfback dive up the middle of Cordell Patterson.
I'm like, Have Montgomery can run to the left side and pick up the first down? Probably because the Bears offensive lines decent.
It's like Maggie was trying way too much.
And, you know, I guess for this new offensive coordinator, it's smart.
You're doing against a team like Minnesota to, you know, kind of get practice for you.
Face the Packers, I guess, like that's a good strategy.
And I think the Bears might win that game.
But the thing is, I don't see that being the Packers.
Either time they play each other and that right there is gonna pretty much be for the division if you e think it's simple as that.
Stravinsky should be stunning, folks.
Risky is injured, remember? Because on that read option, you're and gets the same thing you hear is Oh, yeah, so he's actually up for, like, two more weeks.
So Tyler praised back up.
I'd stick with polls.
People were happy about that.
They said, you know, and that's what I said.
Hey, put Ryan Fitzpatrick in for some place.
He could run by the way he could put him in.
And it's not like a design run.
Seriously, you know, try to pass, and you could always do a Q B scramble.
But that's what they said.
You know, Travis Key is not as fast as Ryan Fitzpatrick.
Even always, way younger.
Uh, but, uh, and by the way, mind Fitzpatrick doesn't look like a good scrambler, but he is.
I mean, like, Okay, I guess I was smart trying to get your biscuit the place, like well, Washington is trying to do with Dwayne Haskins.
You sure got your whiskey in the game.
That's the point.
You know, if you're the Bears, though, unlike that was another thing like, Okay, Was that read option? Like, what did that do? Get your back up, quarterback heard it's like at the same time, like granted, we didn't know that was gonna happen.
But again, it's kind of like Matt Nagy.
Like, what was that all play about what my problem is? I thought Matt Nagy was fine for the most part, calling plays outside of the Cordell Patterson stuff like that immediately threw me off.
And I was just like, Listen, I get, you know, very fast, player.
Just that you keep Grant.
But you got to use him as a receiver.
Um, Marcus Stroman.
We have a few more topics.
Marcus Stroman sounds qualifying offer.
Look, it wasn't a lot of money.
Martha Stroman was looking for 18 million, and the market know why he's getting that.
That's why he gave up on the Mets offer.
Uh, the match rotation could be scary.
Look, the Graham we know he's very consistent.
Syndergaard players after Tommy John surgery usually go down hills.
You know, I'm nervous about Syndergaard because what happens after Tommy John surgery? What's the number one thing that happens, velocity goes down.
And for Syndergaard, who relies so much on velocity, right, he throws 99 miles.
He's gonna get affected more than most pitchers.
So that's what I'm nervous about.
But he should still be a good pitcher.
And then Marcus Stroman, former All Star Steven Matz, even.
But David Peterson, the rookie last year.
He's You know something? I'm looking for a look if you still have money, which Steve Cohen's gonna bring to sign Trevor Bauer.
This deal is good if you don't, which I think they do.
But if you don't, for whatever reason, this is a bad move.
But right now, since Steve Cohen says yes, a lot of money, this is a good move, Sam.
What do you think? Yeah, I agree.
As he said, You know, I think you know, this is far from far from being the last, you know, move that the well.
It wasn't a move, but the last decision the Mets decide to make regarding, you know, resigning players are going out and making some moves, you know, especially now under the helm of Steve Cohen.
I think the future is bright for the Mets.
You know, it might.
It might take a little while, but Yeah, that rotation could be deadly, depending on you know who else they get.
But, yeah, they have to have Marcus Stroman still there as start as part of the rotation, I think is big for the Mets because they could have a lot of depth at the picture position.
And we all know you know how crucial it is.
Toe have a great, uh, starting starting pitching rotation in the MLB.
And how long of a way that can go Thio bring success to a team.
And, yeah, I think Stroman is a solid picture.
As he said, he was asking for way too much money.
So And I knew, you know, no other teams we're gonna we're gonna take him for the kind of money he was asking for, And I I figured he would eventually come thio an agreement with the Mets, you know, realizing that his asking price was just pretty much unrealistic.
And that agreement did come I'm not all that surprised.
And yeah, it makes sense, in my opinion.
Although we do have to wait and see you know what else the Mets do, But at the moment, yes, it does make sense in my mind for New York.
Um and yeah, the Mets do have a bright future, I think, as I said, and I think Marcus Stroman a good picture.
So yeah, I I think I I think I think it's a good move Ideo and, uh, I think they signed him out a good deal to considering what he was asking for beforehand and then grand. I'll give you this one.
Josh Lambo out the remainder of the season.
We know he was injured the first few weeks and they kept on, you know, getting these kids 59 yarder and then hurt his back area.
Yeah, and then, I mean, the jaguars have tons of kickers now, so they're going to choose one, and they claim chasing McLaren.
I mean, from that's another kicker.
I mean, better than just brown at least could I say that the exact clothes have the best group of practice card? Quicker kickers? I mean, they probably have a few more four exactly mentioned They released Aldrick Rosas.
So there's 50 and Hauschka, Six kickers, ladies and gents, we already know McLaughlin.
Maybe not this week, but definitely next week. He's starting.
I mean, look, they have a few kickers still, you know, do this.
Dude, it's against the Packers current swinging.
It's gonna be a blowout.
So field goals not Come on, baby.
I'm officially, you know, I was hiding the jagged for loping, usually out like tanking.
But the package on my third favorite team.
Although I do like the Jaguars.
But I have to route from Rogers because Jaguars the thing I get.
Oh, yeah, I mean, and that's realistic to Jaguars.
Have a future Jake Luton could be a top five back up in the future.
He wasn't impressive.
Why? It's his debut, and he's not like it's not like a tour debut.
It's not like a two of debut because it came out of nowhere.
Just like mentioned in his debut sixth round pick.
Came out of nowhere. Exactly.
E with opportunity.
Well, e exactly.
So, look, Jake Luton was impressive again for what we thought.
For what? You know what he is. That's impressive.
Uh, but yeah, you're not gonna you know you're gonna go after Justin Fields.
And let's be honest, Justin Fields is like a college Q B, right? I'm not saying like I was in college, but he's not like travel on.
So Joe Burrow, who's like, built like an NFL Q B.
So Jake Lewin and by the way, is built like an NFL Q B doesn't mean he is that good.
But he's built more like an NFL QB rather than trusting Fields, and so have both of them garner mental? You're definitely a trade.
Um, Richard the Patriots Sam.
It's a possibility, but it doesn't get better.
Man, I think it's going to the Washington football team.
I mean, it makes maybe that's who Who knows? Yeah, E don't know who the Patriots are going to get as a bridge quarterback.
While they hopefully develops a Q B who they get in the draft.
Cutler is coming back out of retirement.
That those screen taps, I would say a certain someone, but you know the fact that certain coach by the name of ECB NGO is misusing him, I can no longer use him as a scapegoat.
I mean, he could request or at least if you want your request to release cowboys, pick up, make me happy.
Although I had to buy a Cowboys jersey. Disgusting.
But But by the way, it's good that the Dolphins didn't Treadway.
Look, you could have got good value just because teams need him.
But to look at that injured.
Is that a possibility? Oh, no, it's not.
Yes, it's a possibility.
So you're gonna keep on to Ryan Fitzpatrick? Are you kidding me? Um, yeah.
Smart move, Jobs picking up Chase McLaughlin was like the best kicker out there.
So on the practice squad, So rather him than Josh Brown.
So Adam Bennett e wouldn't mind picking up on Terry.
Actually, that that that would be kind of Hey, guess who was the A f C Special teams player of the week.
Don't even say Nick Folk were no.
He's our best player, Jake.
No, that's disrespecting Jake Bailey now.
No, I will tell you who your best player is.
Sam didn't know about a few weeks ago.
I said I know about him from Madden.
And then you guys said JJ Taylor, I don't know who he was. So I guess.
No, he's invisible again.
E He showed up for a week and then quickly fell apart.
You guys didn't know Damon Harris was.
J Taylor? I don't know.
He just never played.
Yeah, that's my Mac.
I was just waiting for the Patriots to give him an opportunity.
And with Sony Michelle on the i r, his opportunities come and honestly, I don't know why he didn't claim or last year because, like, I had enough of Sony Michelle even last year.
And so yeah, Damian Harris has been has been phenomenal.
No doubt about the Patriots.
Just keep their running backs.
James White, Michelle on Booker.
They can't get anyone dio I mean, they just they just keep those same running backs anyway.
We tend preview Speaking of patriots Sam taking away Sunday Night Football.
It is the mobile Q B matchup.
Mobile QB Cam Doonan Oh Ham Newton Fumble, Fumble, Fumble.
No, but Jacoby Meyers will stop the interceptions.
Butt Fumble, fumble! Fumble.
Jacoby Meyers is not Look, we say no Kallias Campbell.
No. Clay's Campbell.
What did we say? a few weeks ago, Sam, on the show, we said that Jacoby Meyers needs to get, and he has.
He needs to get reps he has, and he's the wide receiver.
One. Isaiah Ford.
They play this week. I believe he's active.
Uh, Sam, if you wanna bring up where he's gonna get because I said that he's your wide receiver one with Harry and Edelman down Jacoby Meyers obviously, is not.
Yeah, no doubt about that.
Yeah, I'm still waiting for, you know, for two to take the field.
I'm interested to see you know how he's utilized, how often he plays.
So that that remains to be seen with Ford, who the Patriots acquired from the Dolphins at the trade deadline. But yeah.
I mean, listen, at this point, I know a lot of Patriots fans were disappointed, actually, that they beat that.
We beat the Jets on Monday night because they, you know, a lot of Patriots fans think that we'd be better off, you know, just losing games and getting a high draft pick and and tanking.
But listen, I said it before the season started, and I'll be honest.
I didn't expect the start of the season to be this bad for New England, although one of the three and five I had them at four and four at this point of the season.
So I mean, honestly, as bad as it has been, I don't think they've.
They've been that far off of what at least I and I think many other people expected, which is kind of crazy to say, But don't get me wrong.
They were atrocious during that four game losing streak, but I said it before the season started.
The tanking was never gonna work.
I mean, listen, the number one pick, first of all, is impossible.
I mean, you saw the Jets that people were saying they purposely lost that game, you know, putting 12 men on the field for that field goal in making dumb decisions at the end.
Maybe the Jets did, but I don't know.
But you know, the Jets.
There's so many teams, like with no wins or one win right now, that no matter how hard you try to lose games, if you're New England, you're still not going to get in like the top the top five most likely, and that that can't be the focus right now because what if it's not a guarantee? If you get a top 10 quarterback, that he's gonna be successful? And what if you get a top top? You know, one of the top picks in the draft and he doesn't work out then then after another two years, when you find out he's not working out, you have tow reset again, and it could just be an awfully long rebuilding process.
And the last thing I want for New England is them to be such a bad team for a while and a long rebuild.
If they if they were to Tank, and I will say, Isaac, I know the Dolphins are on the right track right now.
They're looking good.
Obviously, the future is bright for Miami.
Don't get me wrong.
But the Dolphins, they really haven't been that good since Dan Marino.
And the last thing I want for New England is toe, you know, not not be able to find a quarterback.
I mean to, um may very well be the guy, the next guy, but since Dan Marino, they haven't really had a star quarterback and you obviously need a star quarterback in the league to win Super Bowls and and the the last thing I want is the Patriots to be in that situation.
Now you know I'm 16, so I'm not used to the Patriots losing.
Obviously, I know like my parents like my dad.
He remembers when they were awful.
But I've, you know, I'm a spoiled Patriots fan, so I'm not used to that.
But I think there's a way to rebuild while also being a playoff team.
And I've said that on previous shows.
They just need, you know, a bridge quarterback, in my opinion.
And I've heard that maybe the Patriots will and will end up keeping Cam Newton for another year, which we'll see if that turns out to be the case.
I think they should probably go out and get someone else on the market, which I think would be a better option.
And then you draft a Q B.
You know, even if it's in the middle of the first round on and you do finish in the middle of the league, it doesn't have to be a topic.
By the way last year, exactly.
There's only been number one picks that have ever won won a Super Bowl, Eli Manning and Peyton Manning.
So it's far from a guarantee that if you get, you know, one of the one of the best quarterbacks in the draft, you know a top 10 quarterback that its's gonna guarantee success in the future.
So you get a middle ground.
They could even get two quarterbacks in the draft, the Patriots, and try that out.
For crying out loud, you never know if, like a third round pick quarterback would work out.
But you can still be a competitive team with the bridge quarterback now down the road.
We'll see if they do move on from Newton, who that next guy will be.
But the point is, I still think the Patriots could stay competitive.
And I think, believe it or not, that there were some positive to take out of that Jets game.
Now, listen. The defense was awful.
The defense concerns me a lot.
I mean, they were just atrocious, But the offense, actually, when it comes to a full 60 minute game, I think that was their best performance.
I mean, the offense is just They went what 3, 2.
5 games without a touchdown until that Jets game, and I thought Cam Newton actually did pretty solid in that game.
Jacoby Meyers is looking good, so I think there's promising signs in the offense and listen to this.
You might not believe it, and I'm not guaranteeing at all.
But there is still a chance that the Patriots could make the playoffs.
There is a path still there.
If they go six and two for the rest of the way, it would be nine and seven, and they're not Brown.
We're looking like they're starting to struggle to you.
And, you know, the Raiders, who knows with them that the Titans, they've all of a sudden lost three of the last four.
The Patriots pretty much win out and a couple of the goes six and we'll listen, So I have.
Yes, so I have e using to the Ravens and the Rams.
If they lose to any, if they lose any of the other six games, then there's not a chance to making the playoffs because I don't think eight and eight will get you in.
But I I think you're losing toe.
They're losing to Baltimore and the Rams.
And then, you know, Houston's winnable.
They play Arizona at home.
That will be one heck of a game.
And then it's mainly just divisional games after that, which will be absolute battles, you know, in the final stretch of the season.
So I'm saying there is still a path there, like they still could possibly make the playoffs.
There is still a chance off that happening.
Eso it is, It is slim.
It is very slim.
But there's still a possibility, believe it or not.
What if the Patriots upset Baltimore? I mean, then, Wow, that would completely change things up.
I don't think they will.
I do think there's a possibility of this game.
I have a feeling it could be close, though. For whatever reason.
I mean, it's gonna be offensive fireworks.
In my opinion, Baltimore are gonna have a field day against the Patriots defense.
I think on then and then.
As I mentioned the Patriots offense, they know it was against the Jets, and you have to take that with a grain of salt.
But maybe Cameron comes out of Cameron's gonna have to run the ball more.
Obviously, I thought I was disappointed with how, how how little he ran the ball against the Jets.
I mean, he's gonna he's gonna have to run it against Snow.
Belichick's telling him not to run. I agree.
But you have Thio when his passing game.
Kim Newton, his his, you know, on long passes, he's been he's been off the mark on many occasions.
He I mean, he was good.
He's been good at times, but I don't know.
He hasn't been great in the passing game, and one of his huge advantages is his ability to be to be mobile.
And, uh, yeah, I think it's gonna be a high scoring game.
But I think Baltimore will win by, like, 10 in the end.
But I have this weird feeling that it's gonna be kind of close and it's gonna be a game until, like maybe, you know, with like five minutes to go in the fourth quarter when Baltimore make it a two score game.
But, I mean, I'm I don't know the Ravens.
Lamar Jackson seems to have been figured out by, you know, some defense is in the league.
I don't know what to expect from the Patriots defense.
At this point, they have been disappointing as of late.
But if if they can, you know, slow down this Baltimore offense, which which is a possibility because they haven't figured out that times, then there is a chance they can.
They can, you know, keep it close and maybe have a chance of winning, which is, you know, a rare possibility.
Still, there is still a chance of happening.
But the last thing the Patriots can afford to do is is go down early, and then the Ravens just, you know, and then the Patriots just playing catch up the rest of the way and the Ravens being in control.
The Patriots need to keep it close throughout the first half and give themselves a chance in the second half, you know, and anything that happened, it's Sunday Night Football.
It's Patriots, Ravens.
You know Patriots fans hate the Ravens.
Ravens fans hate the Patriots.
You know, I I was I was at the 2011 a F C championship game, actually, against Baltimore, agile at stadium when they Ravens missed that chip shot field goal in the snow s so I I just you know, I just have great memories of of the Patriots, you know, beating the Ravens in primetime games in the playoffs, and it's just a It's just a great rivalry and, you know, touched down in 2014.
Yeah, exactly. Exactly.
So you know, anything can happen.
Um, and who knows? Maybe we'll be in first surprise, but obviously I expect Baltimore toe win, probably by 10 points.
Ultimately, by the way, the other Patriots losing two times the rest of the season Or you're saying if they lose two times just this season, will make a playoff? Well, I think they're losing the Buffalo to E.
Well, not I look, I would take the Dolphins over the Patriots, the Cardinals over the Patriots, the charges over the Patriots.
But charge and the definitely the bills.
Maybe the Cardinals? I wouldn't say.
I wouldn't say the Dolphins as a lock.
I would take the Dolphins wedding, but in terms of locks, the Rams, the bill's not the Rams in the corners.
Those are my two locks and, of course, the Chiefs and the Ravens.
That's full of eso.
I'm trying to remember when we did the we did that. We predicted.
Possibly the Chargers.
Well, Sam, that was totally different because we Cam Newton wasn't signed yet.
That's what? Well, that that's that's very true.
But you know that.
I think that only helps my case.
I had them at nine.
And seven when we did that and that, Um yeah, Well, yeah.
And And they're in right now.
They're They're you know, they're three and five.
I had them at four and four in this point.
The only the only thing I got wrong is that I had them beating the Broncos.
They lost to the Broncos.
So I'm trying to think of the one because I had them being nine and seven, and they need to go six and to the rest of the way to go nine and seven.
So I'm trying to think I did have them losing the Baltimore on the Rams.
I'm trying to think of the I'm trying to find out the other game I had them losing.
I'm just not quite sure.
Yeah, well, I I had the Patriots losing at the Bills, and then I had the Patriots beating the Bills at home.
But anyways, I mean, uh, I'm not saying they will.
I think I think they'll go five and three in that span.
But they definitely could go.
They could go six and to listen.
They'll probably lose to the Ravens.
They should beat the Texans.
They could very well.
I mean, the Cardinals is gonna be one heck of a game, but listen, it'll be November 29th.
For all we know, there could be a sleet storm with in 30 degree weather.
And it's the Massachusetts.
Whether it's such a way, we're used to it.
game for Arizona on the East Coast? No, there, there, you know, soft compared, You know, since they play, you know, in a dome down in the desert.
And they will not be used to those conditions.
And those are the type of games that you know.
The Patriots find a way to win.
I feel like so they could.
They could come out on top in that game.
Patriots, you know, at the Chargers, the Chargers just can't close out games.
You know, I feel like every Chargers game is has been and will be close, but the charges just can't find a way to win.
And that's why I have the Dolphins being the charges this weekend.
I definitely think that games winnable.
But then, you know at the Rams, and it's a quick turnaround from Sunday to Thursday.
I just I see that being a loss, and then you have the they close out with three divisional games and at, if they do, you know, beat both the Texans and the Cardinals on even lose to the Ravens and Rams.
Like I predict they'll be in the playoff race.
There'll be six and seven at that point, needing to win their final three divisional games at the Dolphins.
That's winnable home against Buffalo.
They should have at least force that came to overtime against the Bills, if not one it if it weren't for a Cam Newton fumble, and I know that Bills team looked impressive against the Seahawks.
Now I'm starting to take them a bit more seriously, but still, the Bills are a beatable team, as was proved in their meeting a few weeks ago and then the Jets final day.
We, you know we should we should be the Jets, even though it was closed on Monday Night Football.
But I don't know about you, Grant, like that's not completely unrealistic that Yeah, no, and it's none again.
I think it take a look at you.
If Tennessee starts to struggle, the rare start to struggle the Brown start to start melts on.
The Patriots got hot near the end.
I can absolutely the Patriots squeezing in as like the seventh seat.
I really don't think you're that off the mark.
And, to be honest with you, if the Rams kind of continue to struggle offensively as well, I can't even see the Patriots beating the Rams.
Maybe it will be a very close game.
Like If they do, it'll be like how they just be the Jets probably be a crazy, dramatic finish.
But I could maybe even see the Patriots even sneaking out one against the Rams and then maybe replace their second loss.
What? They're one against the Bills and Fox borrow, but yeah, I don't know. We'll see.
Yeah, you know, one last thing.
What's interesting about that Rams game is that you know, you think the patriots being playing at, you know, at the at the two L A teams in the span of four days would be, you know, really difficult.
But they'll actually be more rested than the Rams for that Thursday night game because the Patriots listening this they play at the Chargers on Sunday.
I think the Rams play at the Cardinals on the same day, but the Rams air in Arizona.
The Patriots will already be in L.
And then the ramp.
Yeah, yeah, the Patriots will be in L. A.
Already, so they'll, technically, you get more rest than the Rams.
I still see that being a loss, but, I mean, that's not out of the realm, either, because it's funny enough the Patriots technically will have more rest already being there, you know? So, yeah, I mean, it's yes, it's it's a little far fetched, but it's still a possibility.
And that's why that I'm basically saying that's why the Patriots shouldn't give up on the season.
You know, by any remember, Patriots got the tiebreaker over the Raiders so they do come down to the Raiders Week 17.
Remember, they got the tiebreaker over Las Vegas, so they'd be good to go on that absolutely exactly And before I say how many wins I think the Patriots were gonna get before the rest of the season.
I do agree with the Patriots needing to win, because guess what? Besides Sam saying that if they lose, they're not gonna get a top five pick anyway.
Um, because, of course, we're gonna win at least one more game against the jet.
Um, Cam Newton is actually fighting for his job.
I don't I don't mean sin.
I'm taking over.
This is I mean, fighting for his career.
I mean, oh, I mean, yeah, possibly.
But I know I will tell you right now.
Guess what? I'm not going to say the exact number because I'm gonna make it.
Mawr Make it more suspense.
You ready loss against the Ravens? One against the Texans lost against the coroner's lost against the Chargers.
Lost against the Rams. Lost against the Dolphins.
Lost against the Bills, and it went against the Jets. I'm serious.
Um, that's to one's the rest of the season.
Just because I don't see Mo Mentum and the Patriots the momentum they could pick it up, But technically, beating the Texans is not getting getting momentum beating.
The Cardinals is beating the charge, beating the charges again.
The charges are a good team.
They don't close out games, but they're a good team.
And again, they took the Chiefs toe over time, Um, they want they want a tough division just because the Raiders and the Chargers are good as well as the Well, I said, the Chargers, I mean, they're they're the Chargers.
So, yeah, you have the Rams and the Ravens, then losing to the Bills.
And the Dolphins are not locks that they're gonna lose.
They could win those.
I just don't see them within the corners.
You know, that's just yeah, that that's the That's the one game that might be a little bit of a stretch, then beating the Cardinals.
But I mean, yeah, well, I'll talk.
You know that that games in two weeks.
So if they if they lose that, then yeah, it z the season's over.
And especially if they lose at Houston, they need to be Houston, Arizona.
First off and then and then you've you've got that they need to split the L A trip and then win their last three divisional games But, you know, do you know what the rule is? Now, if one if one NFL team doesn't play the full eso, that's that's I think, you know, Let's just let's just rewind.
That's the number.
One reason why the Patriots, right? Is that the number one reason? What do you say? I think it is. Yeah.
I mean, yeah, I was just gonna bring that up, and I completely forgot.
Yeah, if if not all of the teams, yeah, are able to play 16 games as because of because of cove, it there will be eight teams.
That means making the playoffs.
So yeah, that eight.
Nate could maybe make it a swell a total of 16 teams.
That means you have to be in the top 50%.
Based on the way I'm saying it, they're only gonna win two games dressed in the season.
I don't even think they're making in the 50%.
But guess what, The 50%? That's easier than you think.
50 s o the top 50% in the NFL.
Um, that maybe six wins.
Based on the Texans, the cowboy, because that NFC East draws everyone down um I mean, yes, possibly.
Like, yeah, I mean around 16.
So it's gonna be close, but possibly eso my point being even if the Patriots won two games threats, Well, that would be five.
And when my point being is that they could easily be a Top 16 team, they could easily not be if they keep on losing.
So it's tough, but that's the big reason, you know? E guess the Patriots are, I guess Patriots fans should root for cov e No Cove in tone Cam Newton into the dark side.
Hey, as I said, he looked.
He actually looked good against the Jets, so maybe he's getting back on track.
I mean, I can't tell against the Ravens is a good match because they're not really Well, I mean, there was that even against against in that game against the Jets.
I don't know if you guys remember that play where he tried to reach out to the to the goal line and that I was just panicking inside.
I thought the balls No, A win's a win.
You can't win the win, so yeah, but look, I'll be realistic and my little book winning by three of the Jets is a loss.
It's a it's a win. It's a win.
But in my little book, like Kevin intended good.
But if you don't look at his stats, winning by three to the Jets, I mean after saying I got what you're saying about the same time, it's not like the Patriots of the Chiefs of the Steelers.
You know, the Patriots of the Patriots of this year, like they've been struggling up to that point.
So that's why I say, although it was by three after I've seen what she won by a little bit more.
But overall, I really wouldn't really be complaining because you know, the defense, you know, it played terrible up, you know, through the first three course, but they really clamped down the fourth.
Got the interception on Flacco.
Ultimately, there was a hard fought victory.
So I see what you're saying.
Maybe if this was last year, the Patriot telling me the Jets by three, I wouldn't see what you're saying.
But for this year's patriots, Uh, I well, yeah, I guess, Yeah, yeah, we'll just add on to that. I mean, I see both sides.
Obviously, they should have beat the Jets by more.
I mean, it was kind of embarrassing that it was that hard to beat the Jets.
But as Grant said, I mean, yeah, it's not the New England Patriots in the past.
They're just gonna have to find a way to grind out results.
So a win is a win at the end of the day and they'll just move on from there.
Um, and we shall see.
But yeah, I will say, You know, usually in the past, the Patriots would, you know, have the division locked up by, you know, the end of November.
And usually, you know, us Patriots fans didn't really care about results elsewhere in the league.
But all of a sudden, you know, Patriots fans were so fascinated and all the different scenarios that you know the Patriots could possibly get into the playoffs.
And all of a sudden, we're focusing on so many games and results around the league hoping, hoping they go in our favor.
So now we're just like every other NFL team, you know, because we're used to just, you know, getting a bye.
So, you know, by the by early December, locking up the division by, you know, week 13.
Because usually the A F c East is, uh, you know, uh huh.
Garbage in the past and the Patriots dominant division.
But obviously, it's completely different now, and hey, it's made it interesting for myself, you know, as a Patriots fan.
I mean, I've accepted the fact that the dynasties over and, you know, let's see what the new chapter brings.
And, yeah, already, you know, the kind of have their playoff lives on the line here in week 10, which is not something I'm used to.
The path is still there.
There's still a chance.
So I'm holding onto some hope, but we'll see.
We'll see what happens.
Pray that your Kobe Myers that we did last week for them to really have a shot on offense.
Yeah, one thing I want to touch touch on, cause I know who was it? Um, Sam said that, uh, forgetting what I'm saying, Um, I guess I forgot just dying.
Uh, Mr Got What? I was going to move on from the patriots.
I'm not gonna bring up my dolphin, Okay? I just I just remember it and then had to do something with the Dolphin.
That's funny, but I don't.
Sam said earlier that the Patriots don't even a win because, you know, yes, the Dinos deserve it, But they could still make the playoffs.
And he says, You know, Yeah, yeah, Sam, you won't offend me by saying the Dolphins haven't been good since Dan Marino.
But what you're kind of hitting is that we need to make sure the Dolphins are bad.
I think at this point, you can't do that.
It's just the Patriots need to be better.
One thing I need to bring up, and it's kind of gonna be decided this week against Justin Herbert and the Chargers.
You know, remember when.
And that's why Sam's not offended me when he says the Dolphins haven't been good since Dan Marino, when the Dolphins made the wired card against the Steelers.
The problem? Waas.
It's a one year wonder, right? They only made it one for one year.
Now, if the Dolphins make the playoffs this year, they're gonna be making it for the next two seasons with the Q B like to, uh, probably.
And it's not even with the Cube.
You just have young talent.
Miles Gaskins, Young, um, Xavi in Howard.
Still pretty youngest SEC.
He's definitely young.
So anyway, my point is that the Patriots just have toe overrule.
And really, the only way to do that is the Patriots need to make moves.
Um, Stefan Duma looks like he's headed out, and that's kind of sad.
That's it's really sad.
I mean, I don't know why they didn't train him, to be honest, because, like now I feel like he's just, you know, refusing play great.
And we wanted to.
The Patriots are not paying him a lot, which I guess it's good in their favor.
I mean, listen, this is my thing.
I think Bill Belichick has some type of beef with Stefan Gilmore.
I don't know what it is.
He has some grudge, and the same goes for Chase Voinovich.
I mean, he was He was really, really good, one of their best defensive players earlier in the season.
And then, you know, there was a lot of talk about, you know, that little argument, I guess you could say they had on the sideline and chase Voinovich.
The number of snaps has gone way down for him.
He's been playing significantly less and listen in normal over the past two decades, when the Patriots were, you know, the best team in the A F.
Year after year, you could afford Thio.
You know, leave.
Leave him out for, you know, ah, majority the snaps as disciplined as discipline.
If your Bill Belichick because you have a grudge against him or you know he's carrying himself in a way you don't like same goes with Stefan Gilmore.
The problem this year is that Bill Belichick he has to put.
He has to put these grudges aside.
And even if Chase, one of its you know as just a sop****re in the league, is acting like he's all this when you know I'm on Bill Belichick side a little bit here, I think Chase, one of which carries himself in kind of an obnoxious way, just listening to his interviews on Boston sports talk radio.
He's on the show.
I listened to every Thursday morning and he kind he literally he literally said, You know, sometimes I don't understand what what the, uh what? What the play called.
There's something like that.
Basically, he just He's acting like he's so good and he's he's a very good player, But you hate to see a kid have that much confidence, and there's no excuse.
Bill Belichick? No, and and no.
Yeah, this is my point.
I mean, I understand bills frustration with players like that.
And when the Patriots, the Patriots in the past, could afford toe, you know, keep those players out for more than usual, you know, more snaps than usual, but in the year like this, you need all the talent you can get out.
You can have out there at all times.
So this is not the year to do that.
If if your Bill Belichick and because you need no matter what you know, the off field issues are whatever Bill Belichick can't hold those grudges against, you know, such talented players.
I mean, an example of Bill Belichick.
Doing this in the past was Malcolm Butler in the Super Bowl, and we all know what happened.
There is a season where you just can't afford to do that, so that that that's my last point, you know, on the Patriots.
Uh, because you have to have as much talent out there is possible.
If you wanna have a chance of of making playoffs, so and before we move on to grant to wrap this up on one last stop and we're just gonna have no further discussion after, that's just because we need to wrap this up.
Um, Bill Belichick is Oh, no.
Where the hell is this man been? E special teams guy.
Anyway, I'm being serious.
You see, e, I was looking up the stats a couple of days ago, nearly as like eight tackles on the year, something which is, of course, very um, Matthew Slater.
Like I mean, we're talking about a guy who don't weigh a Hall of Famer.
You know, all the all proceeds received.
Anyway, Bill Belichick is gonna retire soon.
So someone job on the Patriot? No, I'm serious.
It's someone's job on the Patriot, um, Ray Ralph from sports cashed.
Or if he's watching, he put out a video that said, It's part and he's a Patriots fan.
He said it's getting close.
Patriots need, uh, start making his job easier Sam.
I think that's the key.
His job needs to be made easier, and it's definitely not this year.
I mean, Bill Belichick has to put in a lot of work with this defense that he runs, right? Yeah, obviously.
I think Bill Belichick, you know, I think it'll be around for five more years.
He wants to catch Don Shula in the win column for the most wins all time.
I think that's his his ultimate goal, and that's his motivation.
Thio keep on coaching and he need toe have like uh, for you know, I think I think he's like 40 wins away or something like that.
So, you know, maybe four or five more seasons, I don't know.
I think he'll be with the Patriots 445 more years. I really dio.
I know he's getting way up there in age.
I just don't see Bill Belichick retiring soon, and that's a big reason why the Re bill needs to be quick for New England because that's another reason they were also never gonna tank with Bill Belichick because he wants to win games.
He's not there to be on ah losing team And so that's why I have faith in the future of New England.
There's just big decisions coming up, obviously, and they still need to be a competitive team.
And I think Bill Bell check will still make them a competitive team while also rebuilding over the next couple of years and maybe down the road.
And, like four or five years once again becoming a contender in the A F c at the tail of the Bill Bell checks career.
And it would be the ultimate, uh, the ultimate prize for Bill Belichick.
It if he could, you know, at the tail end of his career, win a Super Bowl without Tom Brady.
But we'll see the Patriots need to get a draft specialist if they want to rebuild a year.
They want to rebuild quickly.
They need a draft draft in the Kill Harry over D.
Metcalf who messed that one up.
I don't like that because there's always going to be that, you know, you drafted this guy over this guy.
Yeah, I know, but DK was He was top second round pick.
Me kill Harry was good at.
That's always gonna be that conversation.
There's always gonna be that conversation.
There's so much unpredictability going into the draft that is true.
But with that being said, I mean Grant has a point.
I mean, obviously he's picking out one certain situation, But you look over like, the past seven years, and they have been awful in all aspects at the draft, you know, just, you know, at least you have to get a couple of good receivers they've had, like, you know, one decent receiver out of the draft in, like, the past seven years.
You have to at least do better than that in the draft.
I mean, you do your scouting for a reason, and obviously the NFL is completely different than college.
But, you know, you do.
You do your scouting for a reason.
And, you know, I thought, you know, at least earlier in Bill's career, that that's what made him so great as well.
You know which players.
Uh, I'm checking draft defense and we even see what chase one of it she could, And Jerome Bentley and Jason McCourty like, Excuse me, Devin McCourty like you can draft defense.
Yeah, but it's the offensive sides.
It's It's not fantastic.
Yeah, Bill Bill is a coach.
Great. Obviously, Bill is a GM.
I mean, he's been he's just not not done good in the trip at all, which has hurt them a lot as well.
Because the Bangles fans were going to say, Justin Herbert turned out better.
We had a chance to get him.
Um, look, there's always gonna be that conversation.
Here's the thing, though.
At least Joe Burrow comparing to Justin her release.
That's not like completely bad.
Like Nicky Perry isn't even on the same level and a probably actually saying, You know what? I actually spoke to D.
What do you think? I actually spoke to him.
I was about to draft him, but my instincts said no.
So that's always gonna It's so unpredictable.
The draft So But the keys are those first round picks where the Patriots didn't have one, and you know, the Patriots are not rebuilding now, but they I know they didn't sense that they're going to rebuild soon, but still, you need a first round pick now.
He's not a franchise Q B, but is that gonna hunt them we'll talk about that next show.
Grete, to wrap this up.
Anything you want to say? I know, I know you want girls.
We're gonna get smoked.
I love to go back and review, baby.
Oh, boy, this should be fun.
I'm commentating at one o'clock Eastern time with my buddy Conner.
So make sure you go turn into that shellacking of a game.
Because let me tell you so it's going to be awful.
I have this man a Rod.
You might ask Russell Wilson and the M V P Race, but that's a different conversation.
Different day, this man right here.
Four touchdowns, six and completions over 400 yards.
And ladies and gentlemen, I think we see Tim Boyle midway through the fourth quarter.
That's right, Jake Lutton Listening played last week.
But backers, Texans, two completely different teams.
I have the Packers winning in a absolute spanking 45 to 13, especially since it might be snowing in Green Bay.
Who knows? Right, And obviously Jacksonville, Florida team and I think they got played good in the called either in the middle of November.
So fun time for Jaguar fans.
But, hey, that's all right, because A.
So long as the job is done putting my Glendon, I'll be cool with it and listen, hopefully mentions back next week.
Maybe we can win a couple more games at the same time on Justin Fields Kind of mixed thoughts about that.
I'm usually the one who prefer to see my team win and tank, But I guess this year I'm kind of leaning towards the other way.
We'll see what happens, but yeah.
Now Packer is going to destroy the Jaguars and I'll be commenting that live here on SportsCastrs, make sure e 100 yards, I promise you.
I promise you, What's up? Jags? We're gonna get blown out.
But it's not gonna be Jake Luton's fault.
It's just gonna be like every loons felt that it was gonna be the atrocious secondary.
Wilson, the worst safety in the league.
C J Henderson man.
He had agree with grain college, But my goodness, he's well, yeah, they're on Rogers.
I mean, every secondary struggles just cause he throws deep and this is the one game where, even though the job's gonna get destroyed, this could be the one game I'm not gonna say.
Yo, Doug Marrone.
They should be fired.
I'm not gonna do that, because again, it's the Packers, and you're expected, you know, because Jake Gluten is going to save them, E.
Has a strong arm 400 plus yards against.
You're gonna need a pass a lot.
Especially without Levesque A.
He's apparently out so well as long.
Yeah, but you're not.
Shiner has been, like consistent, but not like 100 yards, like about, so I don't know.
But anyway, uh, I don't know that that's gonna be a beat down, but I mean, that's the way a t least it'll be cool because the Packers are right up there as one of my favorite teams as well.
So I believe Cool.
I'll definitely be watching that Justin Herbert to a matchup which Q B is better.
Look, right now, Herbert's better but to or keeps on, getting better eats drive each game, and it could change the game in Miami. It sucks.
The Dolphins play the Rams and the Chargers, but both at home, so we don't get to see that new stadium stuff, but let's play both of them away.
So yeah, and you guys played the Raiders.
Dolphins don't even play them.
That's a new stadium.
You didn't even play them in Las Vegas.
But anyway, uh, that's that's gonna be a great match.
I'm not just that.
It's Herbert into, uh, it's literally an even game.
I think the Dolphins gonna come out with it.
Even without Preston.
William Christian welcomes Carbon oy, but chargers Keenan Allen is amazing.
Top 10 receiver, um, run away.
Thanks, everyone, for watching a lot of sports news.
We talked tons about the Patriots that I don't know how that happened.
Yeah, hold 20 minute conversation.
That's all right. That was good. It was entertaining.
I would rather talk about Jake gluten.
I went to a man.
You know the guy, The kids at Oregon State, Knee a list.
He almost beat the Texans.
So the first more than 20 points that's a win in my book.
Even if I wasn't with my phone or computer yesterday and I was trying to think I couldn't search it up, So I was saying to myself, So Justin Herbert went to Oregon State right now, he went to Oregon.
Yeah, I was gonna I was like, How could Jay Clute and be the starter? Justin Herbert will step, but anyway, just a Oregon Oregon State.
Yeah, I do think that Justin Herbert and to what could be better than Borough? I don't think it's that, uh, yeah, both of them.
I don't think it's that.
Anyway, look, job. Oh needs weapons.
He's got what NASA he's got.
He's gonna have a coach that'll make him use him properly.
He's got weapons.
Green. Tyler Boyd.
Who's my You tell me. Those are weapons.
Giovanni Bernard is a weapon.
Yeah, but I will tell you the weapon.
He's, uh he's gonna play this week.
So now he's gonna be the lead back.
Jordan Howard's like trash, and he's getting paid a lot.
I mean, do you really get you really pay that guy a lot? He's gonna get touched down.
By the way, Todd Gurley has been amazing.
Well said that one time he, you know, tried toe.
You know, the one e o myself up with these NFL rules.
I don't think that was a touchdown, but I feel like you didn't get the ball across the line.
It just crossed the line like it was right there like it was such a questionable called.
